One of the better Indians in st Albans, food always tasty and not over greasy!

Food was delicious, staff was very polite and helpful, great atmosphere inside. Good sized menus we all could find something for our taste, orders came fast and were hot and fresh. The only little detail is that hot plates were given by waiters in to some of my friends hands not placed on the table.

Really good curry house, near the station in St. Albans.

Food was good, however noticed afterwards that we were overcharged compaired to the menu prices. It turns out there was a separate charge for the chutneys and dips that were included with the popadoms which was not mentioned on the menu at all. We were also charged for an additional 2 drink refills which we did not order.
Beware and make sure you check your bill carefully when eating at this establishment

Had a takeaway tonight and it was beautiful and very tasty, will definitely be back xx

The service and the food is always fantastic when we visited The Alban. The food is just as tasty when ordered as a takeaway. Hands down my favourite Indian in St Albans.

Was forced to order from here as my usual Indian spice hut wasn't answering the phone. I had veg curry, pilau rice and saag allooo ( they got my order wrong and sent Bombay allooo )
Food was so tasteless. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and am so disappointed I can cry (hormones!)

Veg curry had a bunch of sweet corn, peas and mushroom.... not much else I think I spotted a piece of broccoli.

Rang to say they didn't send my saag allooo . Man apologised and said they will give me for free next time. THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME !

I said I would prefer a refund... And he was expecting me to go to the restaurant to receive it .. to which I replied I am heavily pregnant so no ! I'm currently waiting for a call back as he is apparently contacting his delivery driver to give my refund for the Bombay allooo I did not order ....
Moral of the story... never come between a pregnant lady and her food.

I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends! It was the first time I tried Indian cuisine! The food was delicious, the personal was amazing! Thank you for the prawns!!!

The best Indian Restaurant in St Albans. Extremely consistent, very well run and the staff all have a commitment and a passion for cooking and service.

Eating in or takeaway (it delivers as well) we've always found it just great. I've some ten years of local experience now too and have tried all the competitors.

Definitely recommended, it's run by a lovely family and is extremely good value too. Damn, I am getting hungry just thinking about it now.

Loved the food,and a fantastic menu,and after over 30 years of using Indian restaurants, this is by far the most favourite for me. Tip, ring and book as limited seating.

I recently went to Alban Tandoori with some friends on a Friday evening. The food was excellent, the Bombay Blast in particular was superb.

We had a great meal, and the service was excellent. I make frequent trips to St Albans, and the next time I'm looking to eat out in St Albans I will go to Alban Tandoori, its the best Indian restaurant in town.

This is our local Indian restaurant and it's great to see the team from The Alban back and still producing consistently delocious food with excellent service.

I have occasionally dined here with family over 5 years when I am in St. Albans. The manager and staff always welcome us and the food is excellent. I certainly recommend it.

Im confused by some of these 1 start reviews. I have lived in st albans my whole life, and this is by far the best one. Service is always excellent, food is always good. - keep it up!

Popped in after work last Friday, the dark moon lamb was lovely, will definitely go back!

The meals and service were ahead of our expectations. We really enjoyed the ambience of this spot. Excellent place to take my family out for dinner.

Can't understand why the staff cannot understand that a lamb tikka masala is not a lamb tikka starter and a chicken tikka masala! Run by complete idiots!

I've been recommended this restaurant by friends and recently we tried it out. I am so glad that we did. Food and service was fantastic - the manager was very charming indeed! Their menu contains some gems which you wont find anywhere else. The standouts were the Dark Moon Lamb tikka (a peppery grilled delight) and the Red Fort. Its nice to go somewhere thats a genuine family run business with great food, we'll be back. Best Indian Restaurant in St Albans.

disappointing - expensive, masala sauce tasted of sugar only, chicken hard

Tried to go in an hour before closing but said kitchen was closed, only for a quick bite. Can t say a closing time and not stick to it.

I tried this spot already with a friend and I am hooked since then. I enjoy the good atmosphere and flavorful food and beverages. I recommend this place.
