Don't usually give bad reviews but had a bad experience with this hotel. Shower wasn't working properly and informed them on our stay and nothing was done about it. One of your good experiences in a hotel should be a good shower before you go out and in in the morning. They offered us 10% off our next stay which was a disappointment and will not be going back. All other staff in the bar, restaurant and room service were excellent and it is a shame this hotel could not fix such an avoidable problem.

Stayed here on Friday reception staff were very friendly room was very nice , bar staff very hard to get their attention had dinner food was lovely but very disappointed by the staff . The lady who sat us just put the menus on the table didn't speak to us or ask if we would like a drink it took 25 minutes to take our order another 20 minutes for starter to come out then another 20 minutes wait for main course when we finished that no one came to see if we would like dessert we were supposed to have a cocktail when we arrived but were left waiting we had to ask after 30 minutes when we got up to leave only then we were asked if we wanted dessert Louise was the lady who dealt with us I felt she needed to be retrained in people skills found her very unwelcoming. I am attending a wedding there in August hopefully the staff will be better.

When we arrived to the hotel we were greated by a lovely blonde haired receptionist, she wss the only nice thing about this trip. We paid an extra 45 euro to upgrade to a balacony room which was locked, i asked 3 didnt times for it to be unlocked and they kept telling me they would 'send somebody up'. Never happened. booked into the restaurant and the waitress forgot our starters, not her fault though there was only 2 waitresses in a booked out restaurant and they were run off their feet. didnt help that we waited 15 mins for them to notice we were done eating to bring thr next course, we went then to the hop bar where we had a drink the night before. we were told they cant serve us and to go up to the first floor to be served, up there a manager gave out to us and said we couldnt drink there and to ask the receptionist to take our orders, the receptionist (a different lady to the first) gave out to us for even asking and even turned her back on us. i met the manager lady again and asked was there any chance theyd stop sending us in circles and tell us if we can or cant get a drink. she sent us to the bar again. The bar man roared in my face that hes following HSE guidlines and cant serve me, i said i have no problem following guidlines i just have been told by other staff members to come here. A nice tall man served us i got a bottle of wine so i didnt have to ever go back to them and we went back to the lobby where we were told to sit. within a few minuted the gaurds arrived to shut down a 21st the hotel was hosting. The male manager screamed into the gaurds face to 'shut it down so if you think its so wrong'. we just went straight to our room afraid the gaurds might give out and also afraid of the staff as they all thought it was okay to scream at us. the balcony was still not open. i spent 139 euro on my room and spent over 200 euro on food and drink in this hotel and this was the poor service that was givin back to us. Would never recommened anyone to go here.

We went, we stayed and it was nice. The D hotel has been listed as four star but I think 3 star as far as accommodation goes and thats being generous! 2.6 would suffice. That said, the staff got 5 all the way! The food was of a fair standard but the Italian food in the restaurant mediocre. Again this was saved by the staff who did give great service with impeccable manners and minimum fuss.

Over-promised & under-delivered on NYE's events. Poor reception service and waiter service in restaurant at NYE dinner. They served soup course twice, but there were no mince pies, prosecco or tapas at midnight that were advertised as part of evening. No seating for our group in hops bar or marquee even though we paid extra, so we couldn't have music at midnight. Please, please improve your management, D hotel

Beautiful room. Spacious, modern, quiet, and has a balcony overlooking the river! Had dinner at Goodwins Restaurant, a bit pricey but delicious, staffs were very friendly and courteous. Great ambiance, romantic love songs, class! Perfect for a romantic getaway or a girls night out.

Easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in! There is no way its a 4* hotel, the rooms are so hot that it's impossible to sleep so my 5 year old daughter my wife and myself maybe managed a couple of hours over both nights we stayed, we had one cheap fan in the room but it made no difference at all and when I asked for another fan I was told "no problem sir we will get you one as soon as the duty manager comes on" 4 1/2 hrs later I rang down to reception to inquire about it and couldn't get an answer for over 30 mins so I had to go down to reception, the member of staff was just standing wiping down the counter ignoring the phone and considering you're ment to ring reception in case of a medical emergency probably not the best idea, I asked about the fan and she was very rude with alot of attitude telling me "there is no fans! One per room that's it!!" So I give up and asked about room service as I was starving and she told me absolutely nothing available after 10 at night! Also we had booked a king room got a standard but the bed was good size or so I thought until we lay down and it was actually 2 mattress pushed together to make it look like a big bed but really uncomfortable! Sorry for long post but I wish I'd seen one before I booked
