A review of 1 is before I have even received the windows which were ordered on Jan 6th 2020 through local dealer. Today is August 18th 2021 & I am told they will not deliver prior to Labor Day cause it is too far on short week. Dealer was told they will receive September 13th 2021. (math - 8+ months). Hopefully receive then and they will be correct. I would not have used them now as their review ratings have declined. If CWS wants to respond, you are more than welcome, but I do have copies of your emails to the local dealer.

We have been dealing with CWS for 11 months on getting a correct SCREEN in sound condition for one of our brand new custom windows. I cannot even begin to explain how many times we've been up to Lowe's to pick up the new screen just for it to be the wrong color, completely wrong size, and/ or for it to be damaged. With getting the same result a number of times, I got in touch with Pella. I have been dealing with them since June. Reps have been coming out and its been the wrong size or damaged. Each time we have to be rescheduled, and it's always a month or more out before they come back with a messed up screen. Now I'm dealing with CWS and been given the run around. Then told how they can't schedule out until November 8th, because that's how their calendar is routed and no one will be in my area. Also, how their production time is 6-8 weeks. We're talking about a simple screen... what, 6 pieces of material. Some no brainer stuff. They lack precise measurements, quality control, oversight of management, and safe packaging. We built a 600+ sq ft block addition within this time and STILL NO SCREEN. A lot more complicated things have been completed in a year's time, but no one can get a dang screen done right. Here we are about to approach an entire year still dealing with this stupid nonsense. Clearly, they lack pride in their work and getting the job done right within a reasonable time. So glad we decided to wait on getting the rest of the windows replaced for our house. We will absolutely not be going through CWS. And based on the reviews, this seems to be their new MO. Beware if you use them. Nothing but a massive headache to deal with. We'll never use them again or recommend them. If we can spare anyone the headache, we will share our experience.
Windows were delivered months late with sagging frames, non-square corners, wrong window types. Company has sent replacements that have also had the same issues. Waiting for another ~2 months for them to send replacements again to fix window sashes with non-straight, sagging frames. Ordered 20 mesh screens have repeatedly been sent 18 mesh. Windows ordered in May 2020, still waiting for correct items Feb 2021.

Hired AMS to custom order and install 2 doors and 8 windows in my manufactured home. Don't be fooled by the brochures supplied by Custom Window Systems. Their claims of the doors being a premier line, their locks being "upgraded", insulated doors, etc. are only marketing words. Delaney locks are cheap. Standing inside I can see light from outside and the putty knife inserted shows no insulation inside the door. Cut edges have burrs, open window sits on an angle. Deadbolt setup means I can't leave window open at night. Ordered keyed-alike locks, they aren't. $1K for each door! Not calling company directly because AMS already said it would take 6 weeks for someone to show up from Custom Window systems.
Custom window systems have great windows. Very high in the specs. for the state. The service with c w s is good as long as you get Travis Workman on the job.
I ordered 14 Custom Window System Storm Strong windows. 13 of the 6100 series single hung, which exactly were all the same size! 1 was series 6150 fixed glass. When I was notified by the installer that all but one windows had arrived, I assumed it was the fixed window that was missing, but NO, it was one of the 13 windows, which were all the same size! How and why would this happen? The installer notified Custom Windows but their response has been slow with no sense of urgency. I am still waiting for that window. What has been shipped was installed, but the quality was substandard, because on two (2) of the single hung. The mitered corners have big gaps in them! See attached picture. So again we are at the mercy of the non-urgency of the manufacture to correct this issue as well. The installer has been great! Custom Window Systems NOT great! They have a lack of quality control, how do they ship an order when they did not complete the order and ship windows that were substandard??? They also have no sense of urgency to correct the issues. So I would beware!!!
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting over 8 months for a replacement screen for a 900 dollar window. After 6! Attempts this company still can't get it right. No one cares to help or get to the bottom of why we keep getting sent the wrong or damaged screen replacement. Do not use this company or Pella windows...CWS makes the windows for this company and they are just as bad.
