Time and the elements had not been kind to my boat trailer. Broken tail lights, corroded wires and crumbling leaf springs were in danger of derailing a long planned trip to the Keys when I brought the trailer to Custom Hitch and Trailer. Charlie and Tony fixed me up, custom fabricating new leaf springs, and fixing things up good as new- all at a fair price. Great work and friendly customer service.
Manager is awesome, put my tow package on my SUV and rewired my trailer and lights no issues. Quote was right on as well as top notch service. I wish restaurants in fort myers had as good of service that I got here at custom. I will definitely be back.
I went to the store to apply for a loan to buy a 7x16 trailer and I felt that I was not helped properly. I could not communicate well in English. The man told me that Joel (who speaks Spanish) works there but was in Naples today. I called Naples and spoke with Mr. Joel about my application for the purchase of a trailer and Joel assisted me very well. Thanks ah, I hope to buy a trailer very soon with him.
Communication! I'm going to go on a rant with info and detail I do not recommend this place due to the lack of communication and customer service. We reached out to this business to get a custom hitch for a specific vehicle seeing how the place is called custom hitch and trailers, now they first need to see the vehicle (understandable) to determine if they could or could not do it after calling the business prior to my arrival first attempt I spoke to the manager and informed him I was on my way I will be there before 5 and was told as long as I get there BEFORE 5 I would be fine. I'm driving about an hour away and I pull up at 4:50 Gates are locked will not let me in after being told it only take him 5 minutes to determine if they can or cannot do it. 2nd attempt brother drives 100 miles out of City to attempt to get an answer if it can or cannot be done they took a look at the vehicle with uncertainty ask to keep it so they and take a better look tomorrow. So left the vehicle $50 uber home. 24-hours pass no call back we call the next day to see the status "oh yeah I'll have an answer for you in 5 minutes" the day pass again no call after the third day we called for a status was told that they could not do it so an additional $50 Uber cost to pick up the vehicle so after a total of 400 miles, $100 in a Uber $100 in fuel and time out of our days when all it would have taken was a 5 minutes to determine if they can or cannot do it maybe you guys should get a mechanic or someone with a better eye that can make the right decision without wasting other people's money and time.
These guys are great. Have had trailer hitches, running boards and now a hitch on my rv to flat tow a car. Always helpful and friendly. Mechanics are great at the work is the most professionally done. Highly recommended. Quality company and quality equipment installed.

I had a hitch installed on my BMW X1 and every step along the way I was impressed by how I was treated as well as the other customers were treated by Jose, Charlie and Mike. They treated each customer with the utmost respect. On another visit to the shop, I had to have a quick modification made to a hitch that I had. Mike, one of the mechanics greeted me as I was getting my parts out of my car, asking if he could help me. I said that I needed to have the hitch ball placed differently on the ball mount. He said He would do it, and it ll only take a minute. I went inside to pay and the job was done. Mike was on it. I would recommend this shop to anyone requiring quality work by respectful professionals.
Staff seemed completely unconcerned at my presence or needs. Sold me an anti-sway device that requires either extra parts, or welding, without a word to me about it.
Good selection of products that last and are great quality. I also enjoyed the customer service I have received. Would recommend!
Purchased a utility trailer tire on the web, put it on my trailer and in about 2 weeks it was flat. No visible holes just a bum tire. This place just asked me to take a pic of the tire and replaced it with ABSOLUTELY no hassle. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Awful customer service under new management. Previous customer for $4,500 flat tow install. Was given estimate by previous manager, Ron, for removing and reinstalling RV flat tow braking system and reinstalling same in different car. New manager, Charlie, essentially refused to do that Saying it was too hard and might not work when they reinstalled. He offered to quote a new system by end of day. Two days later I called for estimate and no one was knew anything about it. Charlie was in a meeting and refused to talk to me. I asked to speak to the owner, Jeffrey, who has not contacted me. This is a $5,000 job which they apparently hold in such low regard that I have little confidence in their ability do do correctly. BTW - none of the staff wear masks.
Had the bearings repacked on a tandem trailer. Good mechanics but be ready for a shock when you see the price, almost $300 with no parts, quite unreasonable.

I accidentally purchased the wrong size tires for my boat trailer online and was unable to cancel the order prior to being sent out for delivery. I was informed that I could refuse the delivery and the product would be returned to the seller and I would receive a full refund. The process was easy. I did place another order the correct tires and they arrived quickly and were exactly what I needed!
I called by to continue my research on different types of trailer, and was simply blown away by the courtesy and time I was given. Without a doubt one of the highest levels of customer service I have received from anywhere! If you are in the market for a trailer - or parts check these guys out - you will not be disappointed. Ask for Charlie and standby to be impressed.
Bought a spindle hub for my trailer from them. Their staff was helpful and their prices competitive. I was still at the store when I opened the box & found that the bearings needed to be packed. When I asked a question about packing the bearings, one of their mechanics offered to take the bearings to the shop & pack them using their packing machine. What took him 5 minutes probably would have taken me half an hour. It is this type of service that will keep me coming back!

Would not weld my chains and hooks back on my trailer ... Manager wanted to sell new new chains and hooks for $75 when all I needed was a quick weld job to get me back on the road safe and legal. Never go there for anything! They don't care about you, only their Profit !!!

Before I came here I ordered the part and service from uhaul but never got a confirmation . And after calling them back a week later and waiting on the phone for about 50 mins I was told it s will be done after 30 days . Then I looked around and found this place . I ordered the hitch and it was at my doorsteps in 3 days and people here put it on my suv the next day itself in just few hours . the mechanic are really friendly and knowledgeable as well . After installation they even took their time to instruct me how the trailer get connected to the hitch as it s my first time dealing with trailers and all . Keep up with the great service guys . Would definitely recommend this place to every one else . And they have the best price you could ever find .
Worked with Charlie to get a new double Jet Ski trailer. Call them on a Friday almost end of the day and he was very knowledgeable explained pricing to me and got me the lowest possible.. came by the next morning and super easy in and out. Thank you for the awesome service.

Stopped in to get 15 inch rim and was told by Charlie that they only sell rim and tire together, talked to several employees and found this to be misleading! Went back inside and was then told I could buy just the rim, ouch $86.00 dollars later I did get the rim! Love the location, however Charlie should not be working the front counter
We pulled or tandem axel boat and trailer from Georgia down to Cape Coral, 600 miles. We lost a bearing on one of the wheels and limped 100 miles on three wheels the rest of the way. I called Custom hitch and trailer and they answered the phone by telling you they thank you for calling them. Not like the other ones I called. They were booked out for over a week. I told them what happened and what I wanted done. all 4 wheels, tires and bearings replaced and packed with grease They said we have cancellations and to bring the trailer over ASAP and they will fit me in. Arrived on Sunday, called on Monday and done on Friday. Awesome job. We drove back to Georgia with out any problems. Thank you
I've lived here nearly my whole life and have gone to a few different trailer places, but this is the only one where I left feeling like I was actually taken care of. The staff there - Rich, Andy & the rest knew exactly how to fix the problems I was having with my trailer. They got me in and out the same day as well! I just ordered a hitch for another one of my vehicles and I'm expecting another great transaction!
I was in Cape Coral on vacation and on the way down my trailer lights went out. I called them and they were very helpful. They fit me in to fix the lights as we had to get them finished before we left to drive back home. Very pleased with their customer service and friendliness.

I have had three of my horse trailer pulling vehicles come In needing Electrical break Control panel. We been well taken care every time. When I had issues with my horse trailer light they were there to help. This is very important for me, cause I m want the safety for my horses while in the trailer. I will keep going back anytime we need help with something. I appreciate all of them with their thoughtfulness. Charlie and his team are fantastic!!
Well, had a hitch installed with wiring. satisfied but not happy. My battery suddenly went dead while there, and had to get a new one . Their tester they use to test the wiring harness they install has lights on it wired up backwards which means I have to trust them instead of just knowing it works. They are on par with most the other companies that do auto maintenance in Fort Myers and that isn't good.
I have dealt with Ron there for the most part and he's great. Always helpful and nice. I have bought two custom trailers from them. They have done all the maintenance, repairs and very informative on why and what needs to be done on a regular basis

I called looking for an adapter from a 4 way to 5 way for my boat trailer and Joel took his time and explained to me how it all worked and how the 5 way has a separate wire for my boat trailer reverse. I took his advice and will bring in the vehicle to get it re-wired. He definitely has patience !
