It s inspiring to visit the Visitors Center and you hear the Testimonies of others who testified of the divinity and power of Christ. The realistic possibility to never be separated from your families. Jesus Christ is indeed that powerful and His matchless love enriches this mortal experience.

Great place to learn about Jesus Christ! The peaceful spirit you feel when entering speaks for itself. I'd highly recommend visiting! As well as the Hill Cumorah Pageant every year is something everyone has to experience!

It's worth while to see and it's FREE
I have been there and it's the best history of Jesus-Christ and also their pageant is superb, something that is eye opening of the second coming of Jesus-Christ.
I will never forget it. I have seen it three time.

I loved this site! It is of extreme importance in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or "Mormon" Church). I really enjoyed the history within the center and the tours given. I had a really spiritual and uplifting experience there.

Great missionaries there. We took the nature trail on the back side. It is amazingly beautiful. The monument is pretty. Enjoyed the visitor center best. Excellent exhibits. Missionaries spend lots of time with you if you like or let you go around. If you can take the mature walk up . the paved oath is not as pretty. If you cannot walk up a steep hill then take your car and drive up around.

Great 90-minute outdoor show in July that gives a summary of some of the stories from the Book of Mormon on the side of the Hill Cumorah (aka Hill Cumorah Pageant). Great special effects for a live show. Beautiful music and costumes. Begins around 9:15 pm on certain nights. Arrive 30 minutes to an hour early to park and get seats and refreshments (salt potatoes, popcorn, soda, ice cream, chicken dinner, etc.) provided by local service clubs before the show (refreshments close at 9). Cast in costume walk around and interact with audience members before and briefly after the show. Bring a light jacket and/or blanket as it can get chilly during summer nights. Bug spray is useful as well. Plenty of restrooms provided in permanent structures and mobile trailers. Handicap accessible (although I would suggest driving rather than walking up to the top of the Hill to visit the Moroni statute before the sun goes down). All ages welcome. Our 8-month-old watched some of the show and was able to sleep through the rest.

We attended the Hill Cumorah pageant which will end in 2020. It was an impressive sight! This is a wonderful place to visit when looking at one aspect of the origins of the latter-day saint faith. For those history buffs looking for an interesting aspect of American history it can definitely offer a great perspective on what has become a prolific faith in the world today. For those on a religious pilgrimage, it offers a spiritual renewal and awe inspiring look at the actual locations and the meaning behind them on the birth of a faith.

Even in a surprise snow storm it was a lovely visit. The paved path is a bit steep in places but our 7 year old walked out without difficulty. Definitely pick up a "passport" to collect stamps for this and nearby church historic sites. Visit in July for the pageant or visit year round with the missionaries at the visitor's center.

We came in the winter and the road up was clear, but the walking path was not, and the steps down to the monument had a 3 foot heap of snow blocking them. We didn't mind wading through (the kids actually loved it!), but if you don't particularly love the snow, wait until later.

The visitors center is open until 8 during winter hours, and that includes the gate that blocks the drive up to the top of the hill. We got there at 8:30 and the grounds keeper hadn't locked the gate, but told us to go ahead and he'd wait for us. I've hiked up the grass hill before, but driving is easier with little ones. The monument is lite so you can see it from the road and the walkway is clean and inviting. This is always a nice place to stop and stretch your feet while taking a moment to learn about the importance of this location. It's very peaceful.

Beautiful, peaceful place with a wonderful spirit. This place, along with the other local sites related to Joseph Smith's life, have enormous historical and spiritual significance - visiting with an open heart and inquiring mind will result in a good experience.

Beautiful and very nicely maintained. There are lots of interesting videos and nicely designed informational placards and displays. The Christus room is the absolute high light. The missionaries will happily give you the tour or you can be self guided. Great info and great spirit.
