Excellent place to get an understanding of the initial history and background of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Well worth a visit.

It s inspiring to visit the Visitors Center and you hear the Testimonies of others who testified of the divinity and power of Christ. The realistic possibility to never be separated from your families. Jesus Christ is indeed that powerful and His matchless love enriches this mortal experience.
Excellent visitor's center with a lot of information.
This place provides detailed information about a sacred event that took place in the 1820's
Behind the visitor center is a short hike (you can also drive it). Very cool to see LDS history.
This is one of the coolest visitor centers I've been to. I particularly enjoyed the room with the Christus statue.
Great place to learn about Jesus Christ! The peaceful spirit you feel when entering speaks for itself. I'd highly recommend visiting! As well as the Hill Cumorah Pageant every year is something everyone has to experience!
Its great but i think they should find a way to help people that cant climb up the side of the mountain to make it an easier and better experience.
Absolutely beautiful place. Very educational and very friendly staff. No religious pressure just nice people happy to answer any questions.
Very welcoming! Absolutely loved visiting! Will definitely do it again every year! Hill Cumorah Pageant was amazing!
Beautiful view from the top of the hill no matter the season. Such a peaceful place to visit.
It's worth while to see and it's FREE
I have been there and it's the best history of Jesus-Christ and also their pageant is superb, something that is eye opening of the second coming of Jesus-Christ.
I will never forget it. I have seen it three time.
I loved this site! It is of extreme importance in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or "Mormon" Church). I really enjoyed the history within the center and the tours given. I had a really spiritual and uplifting experience there.
It's a great place to take families. Good for kids. Great for all!
Such inspiring and knowledgeable guides, and extremely helpful. A great visit with plenty of car parking and spotless facilities.
I was surprised at the size of the cast and the stage set up and thought the special effects were amazing and cool! What a fun theatrical production and interesting show!
Beautiful and Serene, especially when you have the hill all to yourself.
This is a beautiful place to visit with family and friends.
Great missionaries there. We took the nature trail on the back side. It is amazingly beautiful. The monument is pretty. Enjoyed the visitor center best. Excellent exhibits. Missionaries spend lots of time with you if you like or let you go around. If you can take the mature walk up . the paved oath is not as pretty. If you cannot walk up a steep hill then take your car and drive up around.
They indulged me changing into Temple standard clothing. Friendly as you would expect. Awesome and eternali important thing happened very near to this place.
Great tours for people interested in church history
Great 90-minute outdoor show in July that gives a summary of some of the stories from the Book of Mormon on the side of the Hill Cumorah (aka Hill Cumorah Pageant). Great special effects for a live show. Beautiful music and costumes. Begins around 9:15 pm on certain nights. Arrive 30 minutes to an hour early to park and get seats and refreshments (salt potatoes, popcorn, soda, ice cream, chicken dinner, etc.) provided by local service clubs before the show (refreshments close at 9). Cast in costume walk around and interact with audience members before and briefly after the show. Bring a light jacket and/or blanket as it can get chilly during summer nights. Bug spray is useful as well. Plenty of restrooms provided in permanent structures and mobile trailers. Handicap accessible (although I would suggest driving rather than walking up to the top of the Hill to visit the Moroni statute before the sun goes down). All ages welcome. Our 8-month-old watched some of the show and was able to sleep through the rest.
We attended the Hill Cumorah pageant which will end in 2020. It was an impressive sight! This is a wonderful place to visit when looking at one aspect of the origins of the latter-day saint faith. For those history buffs looking for an interesting aspect of American history it can definitely offer a great perspective on what has become a prolific faith in the world today. For those on a religious pilgrimage, it offers a spiritual renewal and awe inspiring look at the actual locations and the meaning behind them on the birth of a faith.
So peaceful and beautiful. Great view from the top where the Angel Moroni is. Plus it's part of my church history
I tripped on gold plates in the parking lot, they should really take care of those.
Went for the pageant and we were amazed! It was incredible!
Very informative and interesting. Lots of information on the history of the area.
Visitors center was closed due to Covid... But the hill is beautiful... The monument is neat
Such a great place! We go to the pageant every year and it's all awesome.
went to see the performance. i found the Mormons rude. they wouldn't stop touching my service animal and force feeding me literature that I politely declined. they ruined my nite. I'll never go back!
Great performance. Spectacular lighting. Very impressive visuals. This is an experience worth attending.
Really feel peace from Jesus Christ here! Guides are so friendly!
I had a great time here. The staff were really helpful, and it was very uplifting experience.
Even in a surprise snow storm it was a lovely visit. The paved path is a bit steep in places but our 7 year old walked out without difficulty. Definitely pick up a "passport" to collect stamps for this and nearby church historic sites. Visit in July for the pageant or visit year round with the missionaries at the visitor's center.
We came in the winter and the road up was clear, but the walking path was not, and the steps down to the monument had a 3 foot heap of snow blocking them. We didn't mind wading through (the kids actually loved it!), but if you don't particularly love the snow, wait until later.
Spiritual experience , very uplifting , peaceful , and beautiful . I would recommend visiting this site and enjoy the time away from the world's problems .
Very very nice. Worth every minute it took to get there.
Took a detour here as a curious non-Mormon, as i was passing through on the I90. Interesting place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Recommended.
Wonderful place to stop and learn more about the history of the Palmyra area.
The visitors center is open until 8 during winter hours, and that includes the gate that blocks the drive up to the top of the hill. We got there at 8:30 and the grounds keeper hadn't locked the gate, but told us to go ahead and he'd wait for us. I've hiked up the grass hill before, but driving is easier with little ones. The monument is lite so you can see it from the road and the walkway is clean and inviting. This is always a nice place to stop and stretch your feet while taking a moment to learn about the importance of this location. It's very peaceful.
Very nice visitors center and a short hike up to the monument. You are able to drive up the hill and walk across the ridge to the monument if you don't want to climb the hill. Awesome spirit.
Nice people, nice service, nice experience. Fun time, good tour.
Absolutely Faith Filled and Beautiful. Must take a trip or stop by to see for yourself
History in this area is very interesting. The Visitors Center is a very nice building and the tour is good.
Spiritual uplifting. Testifies of Jesus Christ and his church. All are welcome. Free admission.
A wonderful place. Hike to the top of the hill and see a great view of the valley. Read the Book of Mormon and gain greater insight of this hill.
It is a wonderful place to visit. It has so much history to share.
Beautiful facility, friendly staff, and a remarkable experience.
Beautiful, peaceful place with a wonderful spirit. This place, along with the other local sites related to Joseph Smith's life, have enormous historical and spiritual significance - visiting with an open heart and inquiring mind will result in a good experience.
Interesting place to visit. Wonderful place to walk the ground with a lot of church history
Beautiful place to learn about the Book of Mormon. This is the pace where Joseph Smith found the gold plates.
Very cool to see the Hill Cumorah and see the history of the golf plates being found.
Beautiful and very nicely maintained. There are lots of interesting videos and nicely designed informational placards and displays. The Christus room is the absolute high light. The missionaries will happily give you the tour or you can be self guided. Great info and great spirit.
