It is z sacred place where you can feel close to our Heavenly Father. We watched a new movie on Joseph Smith's First Vision. They also have other things to see.
This is a great visitor center for familes. Our kids had a great time. We had the Christus presentation. We hiked up to the Hill Cumorah with 4 little kids on a very snowy and icy day. We still made it. The road was closed because of the snow and the only way to get up was the hike. We are happy we stopped at the visitor center and gretted by such happy people.
Beautiful! The Spirit of God is powerful. So grateful for the opportunity to go and walk on sacred ground where God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith Jr.
Loved it sad part is their is only one more year of the pageant. The history around the location both US and The Church Of Jesus Christ history is awesome. Not to mention you can stay at one of the finger lake areas
The Hill Cumorah visitor center is amazing! Such a great place to feel the spirit. Bring your family and watch some great uplifting videos or movies or just relax a learn about Jesus Christ!
What a great place to visit! If you can, come to the Hill Cumorah Pageant. It typically starts the 2nd Friday of July and runs Friday and Saturday and then Tuesday-Saturday of the next week. Being a cast member of the Pageant, I have seen many miracles including the fact that we all get here, get cast into our different roles, and learn the entire Pageant only one week before this amazing show starts. But if you can t come during Pageant week, still come at another time. There is such a strong spirit as this is where Joseph Smith got the plates which he translated into the Book of Mormon.
The staff here are exceptionally knowledgeable about the displays and the history of this area. It's great to be welcomed in a place that's not your home. The fact that it's free is even better. Plenty of places to sit and beautiful stained glass artwork. The folks that I saw from out of town and even international folks seemed very impressed. They're very welcoming to people of all denominations, backgrounds, and philosophies. It's a good place to come if you're on the road or just in town for a little while.
An amazing, and peaceful place to learn about Jesus Christ. The representatives also share good information about Joseph Smith and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints
We Came to See Pagent for the First Time...Wow...The Most Amazing Experience of My Entire Life. We Came Back A Second Night to See It Again. There Are Really No Words to Discribe How Beautifully This Pagent is Put Together, Operated and Performed. As Well As the Feeling of The Spirit That Stayed with Us All.
This was not my first time visiting. However, it's a magnificent visitors center with helpful, knowledgeable staff who want to help visitors understand the significance of the events the Monument commemorate. Sweet special feelings about this location.
This place is special and sacred because it is where the prophet, Joseph Smith, found the Book of Mormon. When you come here, a special Spirit can be felt. At the Visitors' Center, there are representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who can answer questions and give in greater detail a history of this place.
The Visitors center was beautiful with the landscape surrounding the oval window with a white statue of the Christ showing his outstretched hands. It was really moving. The missionary guides helped the tour go through the available films and interactive displays. I love the history of the area! A great place for a reflective walk!
Such a beautiful place! We took our six kids here and walked up to the top of the hill, the sites were gorgeous! The Visitor Center was open and friendly, with clean bathrooms. We would definitely go back again. In the summer, there is a wonderful pageant that goes on, that is like an outdoor play. Definitely a must-see!
A wonderful historic site and an opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ. The Hill Cumorah Pageant is a high quality production that is uplifting and inspiring.
This is such a well done historical site, with a miniature replica of the Smith farm, video of some of the history, museum area showing things they had back then, a Christus statue, and of course the hill where the plates were buried! There is a nice monument at the top with Moroni.
The visit was a unique experience. Jose Smith's story was truly amazing. The people who work there are very receptive and informative. You have plenty of time to learn and listen, but also to reflect and think about God's work on earth. Surely the visit was worth it!
