My family and I loved visiting the place where Joseph Smith, the first prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, found the Book of Mormon. The tours are free. The tour guides are volunteers and they do an excellent job. This is a great place to have a spiritually uplifting experience!

Phenomenal! Amazing display of the stories in the Book of Mormon. The Food was great! And I actually enjoyed the Protestors, it only strengthened my Testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel.

Wow! The hill where Moroni delivered the golden plates to Jospeh Smith. How awesome is that?! One of the COOLEST of all of the Church history sites.

The Hill Cumorah Pageant's last year is next year. Everyone go!! It's legendary. In the picture below, you have King Noah 2019 with King Noah 2017. Sadly for KN19, he suffers the same fate.

Neat place to visit and learn about early events in the beginning of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Enjoy guided tours in the visitor's center, hike to the memorial of Moroni at the top of the hill or, for the rest of the season, enjoy the Hill Cumorah Pageant before it closes. Definitely worth a visit! All the necessary accommodations for a physically pleasant experience are also available.

This is a review of ALL the historic sites for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including the Grandin Building, the Hill Cumorah, the Sacred Grove and houses at that site, and the Peter Whitmer farm (which is about 40 mins away from these other places). Everything is so orderly here and so well done. Beautifully maintained too. The tour guides are always so welcoming and can give tours according to whatever time frame you are working with...very adaptable. Tell them up front how long you have. Bathrooms are so clean and open to anyone to use, which is very handy. I've used them many times even when I've had no time or interest for tours. I live in Buffalo, so go quite a bit and learn new things everytime as each guide has their own way of sharing things. There is no set script, which I appreciate. They love questions and always try their best to answer them. Winter and summer hours are different, I believe. So, make sure you check times. All sites close and open at the same time. The Palmyra temple grounds are open for visitors to walk around on too. Always very pretty landscaping when it's not covered in snow. Lights when dark. And gates stay open later than 9 pm for the temple. All these places to visit have such a serenity and peace to them. They really feel sacred. The temple and Sacred Grove are great places to meditate too. Other than the temple, all these places to visit are open everyday!

Just visited the center and didn't see the pageant. The exihibits are professionally done, but I'd recommend the Smith Family Farm tour over the visitor center just because it has a period authenticity that cannot be recreated with videos and interactive media.

Visitor's center is very nicely done. The Moroni Monument was interesting but hard to view due to the steepness of the hill and positioning of the monument, but the art work and history is amazing. I came during a slow season so no crowds to deal with... Loved it.

I loved the statue of Jesus Christ and felt sp much peace as they played some of His words. I also enjoyed a few movies about families. You can spend a few minutes or a few hours and have a good experience either way.

Such a cool place to look down the hill and imagine a huge battle that took place 2000 years ago between the Nephites and the Lamanites. It is also so cool that a resurrected being Moroni who originally buried the plates there appeared to Joseph on that very hill as a resurrected being to recover them and restore the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints!

A beautiful and peaceful site to visit. You can drive to the top or walk up the path.
It has cool history behind one of the few, and by far the largest, religions that began in America.
There's also a visitor's center that has a video you can watch about the history. Accessible bathrooms too.
I know they host a Hill Cumorah pageant each year on the hill as well, but we weren't there then.

The pageant was superb! Very well put together. Hospitality of Palmyra and the Visitors Center was top-notch. I was really impressed on the organization that went into the event notably the parking. My children are still talking about the visit and expect that they will be for years to come.

It is definitely worth your time if you are in the area, or even if it is a little out of your way . It is an eye opening experience to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints and its history. I found the tour guides very helpful and knowledgeable. I strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ as well. Come visit on your next trip to upstate New York!

We visited the Hill Comoran when it was rainy and cold and it was still such a beautiful and special place to see! The visitor s center has great videos and such that are really informational and the monument on the top of the hill is really cool to see. Not to mention the view from the hill is spectacular. I d love to visit again!
