Short version: Extremely long wait only for my car...
Short version: Extremely long wait only for my car to be worse after they "fixed it" than it was before I brought it in.
Long version: I have been bringing my car here for oil changes since I bought it. I lived in the Ypsilanti area and at the time there was a special for 4 or 5 oil changes for $100, so I bought it. On September 9th I brought my vehicle in to use my last oil change from the package that I bought. I no longer live in the area, but drove 40 minutes out of the way to come. After briefly talking to the service agent I also decided to get my windshield wipers changed, tires balanced and rotated, and a 4 wheel alignment (my car was pulling SLIGHTLY to the left). I knew that the alignment was more expensive than another place that I have had it done at previously, but because I was already at Cueter, I decided that the convenience would outweigh the cost. I was told that it would be about 2 hours for everything.
I waited in the waiting room while my car was being serviced. Which ended up really taking 3 hours. I was pretty annoyed that I was there that long, had I known it was going to be longer I would have taken an Uber around the corner to a family member s house. When leaving the dealership I noticed that there was a Cueter shuttle parked outside of the garage. I previously worked for another dealership and know that they often will drop you off or pick you up while having service done. I am assuming that based on the van I saw, this is the same for Cueter. However, that was not offered to me.
Shortly after leaving I realized that my car was now pulling extremely hard to the right. When I originally brought my Jeep in it was pulling to the left and only slightly. Clearly this meant the wheel alignment was not done properly. It took me 5 minutes to realize this, I'm not sure how the service department did not notice. Also, on the paperwork that I received when leaving they stated that they adjusted my tire pressure, which was a lie. None of the tire pressure numbers on my display matched the others. Because I was rushing back home (which is now 40 minutes away from the dealership) I couldn't turn around to bring my car back. On top of that I had just waited for 3 hours to get this exact issue fixed and now it was even worse.
I called the service department the next day and they told me that I could bring my vehicle back in to be fixed. However, I'm pretty frustrated that I now have to drive from Farmington Hills where I live, or Dearborn where I work, to get an issue fixed that I already paid to have fixed. Not only is that extra money that I have to spend in gas, but also extra time out of my busy schedule that I have to make to drive all of the way back to Ypsilanti. The man I spoke to on the phone told me that I didn t need to rush back in and could come back within 60 days and it would be fixed. However, the longer I drive with my car like this, the more uneven wear I put on my tires. Which is not my fault, but will be my problem if I need to replace tires because of this issue. I feel that the dealership should offer some sort of compensation on the service that I already paid for to me for this error on their part. I spent about $250 to get simple issues fixed and now the main issue and most expensive is worse than before. My wheel alignment was done incorrectly and my tire pressure was not adjusted properly. The wheel alignment was the longest part of the work that I had done. I waited an hour more than I was told I would have to only for the work to be done wrong. That is unacceptable to me, especially consider that as the dealership you should be the experts on fixing the cars that you sell. Allowing me to come back and get it fixed is fine and what you should do, but i shouldn't have to do that in the first place. This is extremely inconvenient. At this point I could have just taken my vehicle to the place that I normally get wheel alignments from and saved time AND money. Or even to a dealership closer to my house.
