Crowne Plaza Houston Galleria Area Review

Nasty facility,. Not worthy of the Crowne plaza brand. Soon to become a motel six, with hourly rentals maybe???

Its currently 1230 AM and the music from the event room is so loud the base is literally shaking my bed. It's so loud I can tell you they are currently playing Nelly (it's getting hot in here). There are people partying and screaming in the pool right outside my room. Unless you are looking to party Do not stay here this is crazy. I really shouldn't have to change rooms at 1230 am. Update its is now 110AM and I was told it would stop at 1Am. Nope.still just as loud and people still screaming.

Awesome hotel with easy access to a variety of places.

The room smells funny. The amenities are very minimum. There are no fridge in the room. The ac is sufficient in the room. The overall experience is ok. Customer service is good. The location is good. The facilities is meh....

Was there for a political townhall. Parking was a breeze, the place was clean. It was a good experience

The place is clean and in a good location. Parking was also easy and the room was s clean and good looking. I would stay here again in the future.

We had a church retreat in this beautiful hotel this April. And the staff was amazing, they attended to are every need. We had retreats in other hotels, but this one top them all. They treated us like family,and we will be back very soon. Thanks for all your hard work.

By far the best hotel I have stayed in! Rooms were very clean, staff answered my many questions. The only thing I had to ask for was a blow dryer....the room didnt have one!

I love the decor and location of this hotel. However when checking in was told they only had an accessible room and would move me the next day. When I entered the room the smell slapped me in my face. It was distinct and I wont go into details. I notified the front desk and that was that...except for the headache I developed from the smell. Just didnt feel like they went the extra yard customer service wise. Paying for an unsatisfactory room just doesn't seem fair. Finally a year after Harvey finally having work done on home and been staying in hotels at my own expense. Love crowne plaza but left with bad smell this time.

Go somewhere else, housekeeping are thieves and two out of four vehicles brought here had windows broken out and stuff stolen. The hotel will do nothing. Go any where else. Not a good location either unless you need direct access to I-10

This hotel is located in a really nice area of downtown, close to the Improv. It was a nice stay, but the hotel was obviously older and a little run down.

Good hotel. Is located on the I 10 therefore street noise. Not suitable for a week's holiday. Bar is OK.

Staff was incredibly helpful, rooms were beautiful, views were nice, parking was easy

My stay there was excellent. Jonathan helped tremendously for my birthday weekend. He was knowledgeable and kind to my wife and I. He deserves a raise or bonus or some for Of appreciation for his quality of customer service.

Staff doesn't seem to know various operating hours of their amenities and dining areas. Received conflicting information from the three staff members I talked to about lounge hours. Room was clean and spacious. Nice location.

Stayed here for the TAAE conference and was very impressed. Clean, modern, with friendly staff, and good food. Beds were comfortable and the food provided was excellent.

Excellent Place for Luncheons & Meetings

Clean and Professional Environment Inside. The Construction is the only downfall to this Venue but it makes it very hard to enter and exit the Driveways, and that's a MAJOR Giant Eye sore as well as inconvenient.

Overall: 87 % = GOOD

Great place to stay...nice and updated...refrigerator...free parking...close to all major stuff...more of a boutique hotel to me...I approve!!!

Conference room was solid, but not as modern or open as more modern areas.

The floor was dirty the carpet was having dark spots the 2 seats in our room were dirty and been so gross the wood had be worn down in the bathroom there were exposed piping beds where so hard to hard to sleep on

Came to have a stay with my wife for a in city getaway i requested extra pillows which is something i do at every hotel when i arrived i asked for a higher floor and i was told my room was ready and it couldnt be moved because of the special request then i was tild it was because they didnt have any rooms available but there were not alot of cars in the parking lot to back that up my chair in my room has the seems ripped all the way around and was tucked in coving this easy fix and i also was told i could not have a later check out with no reason i wont visit this hotel again and maybe change hotel memberships

Bedbugs! That's literally all I have to say. The staff isn't the most pleasant, either and after paying all the money that I did for one night, I went to have breakfast in the lobby and find out that it costs 16 dollars. For breakfast. After being eaten alive by bedbugs. No good.

The Hotel was nice but old. Would ve given more stars but I booked online with booking.com wasn t told I would have to pay a $100 deposit when I got there. Not only that but it has been 4 days and I still haven t gotten my deposit back !! These are hard times right now dude I got COVID and I came up there for a funeral. Still haven t gotten my deposit back !!

The room was awesome and we loved how it was conveniently located near the Improv but the a.m. staff isn't friendly, accommodating or didn't even take the time to acknowledge us. I did like the bartender he's awesome!

Sanam was fantastic took care of me and my family needs quickly and very efficiently. She was very welcoming great smile. She made our stay a great one.

Very nice hotel,but there is a very horrible scent when you first walk in the room, I was part of a big group staying at this hotel, and everyone said the same about the smell.

There is a completely NEW Crown Plaza in this Area, nothing like this pictures, everything is brandnew,they opend in June 2012, they have a restaurant that includes: breackfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour, they also have room service. The hotel is a Non-smoking hotel, the satff is really friendly and the beds are wonderful.

Was there for Ihg reverse sales class. This is not the first time I've been there for an ihg class, I appreciate The Crowne Plaza being a host hotel, an the awesone job they do. Everything and everyone was great!

Found ants on the bed and tables. Reported to the front office the next day and they house keeping take care of it.

There are people hanging around the parking lot around 2am.

Some people leave their trash in the hallways.

Clean comfy rooms and beds. Loved the pool. Close to lots of attractions.

Great hotel, excellent breakfast with a Tex-Mex flair.

I like the hotel and staff . They offer free transportation in a circle of 5 miles from the hotel.

Had a wonderful experience at Crown Plaza. Amy which was working on the 6th floor was extremely polite and was so hospitable. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing! Our rooms were cleaned and the staff was kind. I wasnt feeling well so I was a little late checking out and the were definitely compassionate and understanding! Its located just a few minutes from all the hotspots (Galleria, Montrose, Downtown, Midtown, etc.) and right across the freeway from Dave & Buster's and all sorts of entertainment. Very enjoyable stay

Was expecting more from the Crowne Plaza, especially near the Galleria. I showed up around 5 pm with no reservation. The front desk clerk told me they had a room, took my payment and then informed me Housekeeping needed to clean some rooms and I would have to wait. 5 pm seems late for Housekeeping? Only waited about 10 minutes but Housekeeping cleaned and vacuumed all around my room for over an hour after I got in there. All elevators seemed at any moment they would break down and really for a room for $100 for a single traveller I was very disappointed. Have never stayed at a Crowne Plaza and likely not to again.

Water pressure was absolutely horrible!!!! Hotel was cute but i wasn't impressed. Prices were reasonable. Elevator was tiny and took forever. Our room smelled stale and needed painting . Crown plaza definitely should renovate. Staff was kind and showed a lot of the southern hospitality you think of in the south.

Great room! The pillows were amazing. I used all four of them and slept so comfortably. Nice lobby and restaurant/bar area with lots of seating.

Its a Crowne Plaza.... so as long as you have matching expectations you will be pleased. Solid hotel for business or personal stay. Everything seems updated and rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is decent, coffee is served hot. I stayed about 25 nights there throughout 2016, they do a good job.

Alot of construction on 610 right now so that can be hectic but its conveniently located.
Yes, they have those prison shower heads that blast you... and can damage your hair if you shower twice a day there for extended stay... management, please swap them.

Very friendly staff and a beautiful hotel. A great selection at the bar and walking distance to a number of restaurants and bars.
