This hotel is the worst hotel i've ever been to.

This hotel is the worst hotel i've ever been to.
The room cleannin service was horrible, door keys did not work multiple times, the AC blows strong air on bed and could not be adjusted, and last but not least hotel is not in the Gallaria area! Do not be misled like me.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during the week in order to attend a conference. The room was spacious and clean. There were no odors, moldy smells or dampness at all. The AC/heater unit was the best I had experienced at any hotel. It could be controlled from a thermostat on the wall or directly at the unit and it only took a few minutes for changes in temperature to be noticed. My room had a comfortable king-size bed with very nice plush pillows. Hotel staff was attentive and I had access to free WiFi. Overall a great stay for a reasonable price!

The room is OK, the carpet is not clean, the sink hot water handle spinds all the way around, no dent. have to stop the handle where ever the water shuts off and the shower water handle is totally loose.

Unhelpful, disinterested customer service. Dirty in general. Terrible food at the restaurant. Elevators were shaky, scary, & malfunctioning. The hotel entrance was soaked with water all 3 days we were there, with the same dirty soaked towels for 2 of those days. Bugs seen in our room multiple times. Terrible lighting in the rooms. We had no room service menu & had to go get one from the restaurant instead of them bringing one up to us like they should have done. Only basic TV plus some HBO in the rooms. No hot tub or jacuzzi at all at the pool. I would not recommend wasting your money on this hotel. You will be happier almost anywhere else.

Easy access to major highways, local stores, and local entertainment options. The hotel is a little older, but kept well. Restaurant/bar adjacent to the lobby and large conference rooms. Staff is friendly and housekeeping does a great job. The one downside is that there's an in room refrigerator, but no microwave.

I stayed on the evening of January 2, 2020, for one night. I was blessed to get the accessible room as a prior visit. It is on the 5th floor and the nearest room to the elevator on the 5th floor. This hotel is a hidden gem in plain sight. It is a little older but well kept and updated. It has a full room service menu and a fantastic breakfast buffet. when I originally checked into my room it needed new linens and a little sprucing up. Veronica at the front desk took great care to see my needs were handled quickly and professionally. She also got an extra reading lamp sent to the room. This hotel is only a mile from my son, daughter-in-law and our newest grandson, so it will be the default location from now on. The staff is very professional and with Veronica's leadership, personal.

This hotel has horrible in-room air conditioning units so be prepared to be very uncomfortable in your sleep. This is magnified by the fact that it is Houston and it is consistently humid and hot. Also, the name of this hotel includes "Galleria" as if it's relatively close to the Galleria mall, but it is not. It is a good 15-20 minute drive to the Galleria.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was super clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty sub par for such a nice hotel and a bit pricey. The buffet was 15 bucks a person if I remember correctly. The pool is tiny but nice. I would stay here again.

The hotel is lovely and clean, the staff is wonderful, especially RJ, John and Lisa. The IHG Rewards lounge is great. Room was great, price was excellent. Even though it was close to the highway, there was not toouch noise. Will stay again!

Hotel refused to do anything about the loud guest next to us, and running up and down the hall. We asked to be moved, and they moved us into a room knowing it had no AC. Then they moved us into a room with 1 bed knowing we needed 2 beds. Finally they moved us into a room with 2 beds and a working AC. This is the worst hotel experience we have ever had.

Took a weekend getaway to Houston and this was the hotel I was staying at. I enjoyed my stay here. The location is not far from anything. Every place I went was less than 30 minutes from the hotel. The rooms were nice and everything was well put. The bed was so comfortable to the point were you didn't want to get out of them. The staff was nice and friendly. The only thing "bad" thing would've been that there was a stain or spot on the shower curtain. Other than that, everything was great. I definitely recommend and will book here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE A CLEAN ROOM. We stay...

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE A CLEAN ROOM. We stayed 4 nights. Disclaimer: I fully understand the water conservation policy and followed it to a tee.

Here it goes...

I loved the restaurant staff, complimentary (fresh squeezed) lemonade and infused water, free parking, and no resort fee. But, I realized during my stay here, that I'll gladly pay it from now on.

1.Housekeeping is absolutely HORRIBLE and lax. I followed hotel policy about towels EVERY night, talked to housekeeping AND the night manager on two nights, but had to request towels every night regardless.

2. Dirty glasses left in my room EVERY NIGHT.

3. Bathtub was never cleaned.

4.Turned on the television to find it on "noticias" when i left it on ESPN, which means housekeeping was watching tv in my room. I don't mind this as long as my room is clean when i get there!

5. Never tidied up coffee station.

6. Didn't replace lotion (which i used the first night), but left me 10 bottles of shampoo and conditioner I never touched.

Should I go on? The night manager was listened and finally have me face towels, but didn't seem overly concerned. He said they would send us a complimentary night's stay, but I don't live in Texas, and quite frankly, will NEVER stay with Crowne Plaza again... and I travel very frequently. This was my first time in Houston... CP ruined it for me every night I returned to my room.

Update: Spoke to Yesenia (day manager) upon check out, and she was very kind and concerned... unlike the night staff. I have to compliment the restaurant and bar staff. I left feeling (a little) better thanks to Yesenia and her co-worker at the front desk. Tip for staff: A smile can make all the difference!

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Standard room was spacious and bed was comfortable. After attending a long and active wedding it was a nice space to get a good nights sleep and shower. Easy access to I10 to move around the city.

This is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Loud guest next door so we asked to move rooms. They moved us into a room knowing the AC was out. They then moved us to a room with only one bed knowing we needed two beds. We are completely disappointed and do not recommend anyone to stay with at this hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel on Monday the lobby had an overwhelming perfume smell and at first I just assumed they had chosen a poor fragrance, unfortunately the smell continued up to my fifth floor room and was combined with an overpowering smell of some sort of cleaning chemical. Within 20 minutes it had given me a headache and I was looking for another option to stay. Unfortunately, all hotels in the area were booked, so I was left to complete my week at the Crowne. By Tuesday night I had gotten sick and was taken out of the hotel via ambulance (due to personal reasons), but remained in bed until Friday and was disappointed that the staff never once called the room to check that everything was okay. You would think that a hotel would follow up on a guest that is staying a week and has an episode needing 911 to be called. My largest complaint with the hotel is the cleanliness, or their lack of caring. The lobby with the perfume smell, the elevators that smell of overwhelming grease or oil, the dirt and debris all along the corners and floors. I dont have a great sense of smell, but can't imagine that others don't notice these things as well.

Edit: The other area that the hotel may want to look into is the fact that you can literally hear every word of a conversation in the room next door since the connecting doors appear to either be thin or not sound proof. Laying in bed, I had to wear ear buds to try and give rhe other guests privacy while they were blissfully unaware having their phone conversations or talking to each other.

My experience was VERY pleasant. I started at the front door with a vert accommodating & polite gentlemen named Johnathan, excellent customer service. I would love to stay again. Very glad they have complementary access to 24 hour fitness across the highway as well!

The lobby is cute, concierge was nice, the inside of the elevator needs some touch ups, but the room we got upgraded to for being an IHG member was wonderful. So if you're not a member, find out how. We could've had up to 4 extra people in the room. It was clean, especially the bathroom. I felt like I was on a cruise ship when I saw how nicely the face towels and tissues were arranged. They did have some construction right before you enter the hotel but hopefully it won't be around for long.

After a few months I felt the need to reevaluate my original review. This team went from a 4 star to a 5 star. Exceptional service from the minute you walk in. The lobby and front desk are built to impress anyone. The clean atmosphere is exactly what you're looking for when you need a home away from home. You can tell a lot about a hotel from their bathrooms. And although I would never suggest taking food into a restroom, I might make an exception here. My hat goes off to the cleaning crew at this location. I've never once been disappointed and id like to apologize for providing a substandard 4 star originally. Great job team and keep up the good work. You've certainly earned my business for a very long time!

Horrible Horrible with no empathy in the staff. I had a reservation for 7 nights and they cancelled it without even having the courtesy to call and inquire. I drive 5 hours from Dallas with 2 kids and 2 parents to come to know I don t even have a damn room! And then they are sold out! So now I m hopping around town to find a hotel at 9:00pm at night

The hotel management seems under diress. The furniture is old and when we went down to breakfast no one was in restaurant. A nice lady finally did give us great service, but the two gentlemen were oblivious. One of the male servers actually received cell phone calls while working. The food buffet at $17 is definitely loosing it's assortment and taste.

I have stayed at this hotel more than 20 times and regret it's loosing it's way.

Arrived after midnight for a one-night stopover. Greeted at the front desk with a smile like it was the middle of the day. Clean rooms, surprisingly low traffic noise. We don t often have need to stay on this side of Houston, but this location will definitely be on our list if we do.

I have a handicapped room with a walk in shower.
This room leaves a lot to be called handicap accessible. The bathroom lighting is so dim it is difficult to do normal hygiene things. This was an older hotel that they remodeled and added the crown plaza name to it. I have no complaints about the staff and the restaurant workers were very nice. The room itself is just a regular room with the walk in shower There are no shelves in the bathroom on which to place towels or toiletries so they all have to take up a big area of the sink space itself. The closet is pitiful and there is no place to even hang a robe in the bath. My daughter arranged the room because of the Crown Plaza name but there are no crowns to be handed out for this room.

The traffic noise is also horrible for sleeping.
