Location is good, friendly staff, big and clean rooms, and nice breakfast.
This Hotel doesn't have a Jacuzzi or indoor pool (the pool is out door and heated) The Guest can use the LA Fitness across the street for free ( But no Children are allow inside de pool or the gym, they have a daycare)
A beautiful hotel up to date good service rooms are really nice great colors i was very comfortable great for groups weddings new years parties ect
Loved this place..only reason I gave a five star was that we couldn't bring breakfast to our room from the buffet...
This is an awesome place to stay!! I will definitely come back
It was ok could've been better for the money that was spent
Perfect location! This hotel is beautiful, nice rooms, great staff, and is the perfect location for everything Galleria!
Six story hotel alongside a busy highway. The front desk was very helpful in moving us to a room away the highway. It was quiet. Good breakfast in the on-site restaurant.
Excellent place to be. The best soup of the day EVER!
Just ok. Glad we got a low rate. Not really at the Galleria. Service can be slow - didn't deliver requested towels. i10 noise didn't bother us in our room (facing away from highway) but very present at the pool. No bar service on Saturday until 4pm. And no wait service at the pool.
The room was lovely and the staff was very helpful. I would have appreciated a refrigerator in the room, though.
Taught a CPR class in one of their group rooms... Facility was very clean and staff was super friendly, even slowing me to use their business center to print off material for the class! Will be using them again in the future!
The staff were professional and the lobby was nice, but my room smelt bad and the air conditioner in the room was too loud. The couch in my room was also stained. I won`t be going back.
The staff was courteous and the room was comfortable. However, as nice as it is, there are similarly priced hotels in the area that are nicer. Still, not bad at all.
We like the breakfast buffet here simple and fast Nice people clean .We back and still good and better.
Very deco . was impressed with the renovation. Really nice
Door man very rude, forget his name he said he was from Morocco
Kept insisting to drive me around the city
This hotel sucks. No microwave in the rooms and a mini refrigerator in the room so small you cant put anything in.
Everything closed at 11. That sucked. Everything else was fine. The room temperature and conditioning was also poor.
Guy at front desk(Rodriguez) was unbelievably rude. I have never been treated so badly at a hotel. It was my daughters birthday the night we stayed and the front desk guy actually made her cry by saying rude, mean things. She is 2!!! All we wanted was to switch rooms because our ac was out, and the hotels ac was out on our entire floor. It was ridiculous. To top it all off, when we did switch rooms, all the linen smelled like old cologne and menthol cigarettes...ill never stay here again.
I have stayed at this hotel many times for business and it is great! The staff is very accommodating and the food is amazing. The rooms are very clean. The only thing I don't like is they tell you at the check in to enjoy the VIP lounge but at least four times it was closed due to the employee not showing. When you are on business this is a nice perk to have if it's open when they say! When I have stayed at other Crown Plaza's this never happened. The bartender Auriana is amazing and knows how to make you feel welcome.
Good sized rooms, helpful staff, comfy beds and good breakfast.
Great location near Galleria... Friendly staff....
I was doubled charged for my room. I have yet to receive a refund. My money was refunded after my attorney's secretary called twice and so did I. I should have never been charged. I even asked the concierge if I would be charged and was told no. Mistakes happen, but this was a major inconvenience.
Very nice staff! Looks very nice when your checking in and the rate for king suite which was a treat was the BEST!! Love staying at Crown Plaza hotels!
Amazing staff but the business center only has black and white ink
Great location, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Rooms were super clean too.
Nice hotel. Some sort of glitch happened the night we arrived as a whole bunch of us had to come back and get our room keys redone all around the same time. Not sure if there was some sort of reset of the guy behind the desk made them all wrong, but it was a strange coincidence.
The worst service ever...as a platinum elite member almost diamond the lady working the front desk was the rudest ever experienced....needless to say we got in a shouting match over her rudeness and attitude....would not recommend this location at all....
Im giving it a 3 star because I will be honest this Hotel IS NOT in the Galleria area about 4miles away its more like in the Memorial Park area. So dont be fooled. I live in the Galleria area like 3blocks away. Theres plenty of hotels ib the Galleria area but not this one. Hotels in Houston and in Dallas is guick to say there in the popular area. To trick the customer to stay at there hotels .please ZOOM in Hard on Google maps before you book hotels in Dallas
The hotel is nice. Far better then the one in Dallas claming its in Loves Field . there 3.5 miles away. Thrust me its a bit of ways from the airport. The Dallas location always have a lot of dope heads all around and even in the hotel all the time. I will never stay at that crown plaza. But the one in Houston so called clamed Galleris. YesI can stay at this one again
The hotel was nice, people who stay here were very fancy. The room itself (547) was not what I was expecting. I did read a review saying the rooms have mini ridge but this room did not. I was very displeased!! The room also smelt. The little bottle of shampoo was half used. The shower head was not mounted correctly to the wall. Maybe it was just this room but I will just go to the holiday inn express next time. If you get 547 request a different room!
Very well set up.. drinks were cool! Had a good time would definitely go again.
Honestly not bad for the price, room was clean and well maintained. However there were a lot of issues opening the door to the room. The key card didn t work many times during my stay and had to ask the attendant at 1am to come open the door. It took 45min to pry it open! The person that helped opened the door was nice enough to offer a free room but declined since it was already my last night. I was promised free breakfast instead, at the end of this but come to my surprise I was only given a measly discount voucher. I called, spoke to Veronica L, and asked for a refund since they obviously lied to me. I was told excuses like the front desk employee is a trainee as if that s my fault. I was then told I have to wait for the manager to call me and it s up to them if I get a refund. It s not clear when they will call because I was told there is not set time when they come in. I don t have time to argue over $15, but there needs to be a overhaul on customer service and communication.
This Crowne Plaza is absolutely great. The accommodations are clean and contemporary. The guest services at check in are welcoming and treat you great.
AC in restroom not working properly as it was too warm
This is the worst hotel I have ever visited, when you arrive everything seems to have the best security policies for your health until you get to the room and find a used face mask, hanging from a lamp, torn towels and carpets in poor condition, without removing the bad attitude of the ladies at the reception, I do not recommend it.
The bed was so freaking comfortable. The room was clean and the staff was nice. The only reasons i don't give it 5 stars is the buttons on the phone didn't work and there was no printout of the TV channels. But still, best sleep i had in years.
Was horrible. My car and 4 other cars got broken into in the parking lot while there was "security" supossidly. They did nothing and the rooms were fithy.
We stayed one night here for a wedding. Got to the hotel about a half-hour before check-in and still had no problems checking in at all. We had a few requests during our stay (e.g TV remote batteries were dead, needed more coffee) and everything was handled very quickly. The bed was very comfy, and the room was plenty big enough. The views are not great, but I don't fault the hotel for what the city around it looks like.
Overall, great stay for the price.
Had a wonderful time..did a training there..this hotel is very beautiful
Bed was extremely comfortable! The overnight front desk agent was very nice, quick and professional! The hotel was Nice and clean hotel from the time we walked in to check in. Since We checked in late I had requested for a late check out as we booked the reservation and was not honored that late check out. The housekeeper came to our door 3 times and when we called the front desk, the front desk agent was rude and unprofessional about the check out!
Very nice hotel. I got a great price on Priceline. Close to freeway.
We just came to visit family in town so we didn't freaky experience the hotel. But, it was very nice and the rooms sender l seemed spacious and cozy.
We were there for only one night. Place looked stunning. We'll decorated. Bar closed early, disappointing. And someone got stuck in one of there elevators while we were there.
The staff was awesome, the rooms were very clean, and the decor was beautiful. We we there for my daughter's 21st birthday. We reserved two suites and a queen double for her, us, and her friends. We had a great time, and could not complain about our stay! Thank you Crowne Plaza for your hospitality!
Clean quiet rooms, close to Hobby, good location for business travelers
The one star is for the poor front desk customer service. I waited behind another person who was checking out for 10 minutes. Then the employee finally was helping me print my receipt but just walked off to inquire if another guest that was walking by needed help. Another staff member had to pick up the printout and hand it to me.
When I asked the employee why she walked off without handing me my receipt she mentioned that another employee looked like she could pick it up.
The employee was rude and very unprofessional. This was my first time trying a crowne plaza. I think I will stick with other hotels that are higher end with more professional staff. I would not recommend this hotel. Do yourselves a favor and stay anywhere else along the I-10 freeway. This was a let down.
Excellent location near restaurants, a movie theater, a church, and shopping. Friendly staff and always clean!
Car was broken into - they broke two windows within 4 hours
Clean hotel. A few upgrades to the bathroom fixtures are needed due to wear.
The staff takes great care of my guests and the facilities are top notch compared to your "average" branded hotel on a major interstate. The redesigned master suites on the top floor are pretty baller. The only thing that frustrates is the tiny (ish) parking lot.
Attended a meeting at this hotel. Parking was simple and free. The inside was clean and we'll attended.
Great location close to the galleria and really nice rooms
This is a very good place.it's has a nice and friendly peoples, pretty quiet. The food is excellent.
Very nice establishmentnt. Front desk staff was courteous.
July 2012 - So, this hotel has only been open for a few weeks and is now a Crowne Plaza. They just completed a 2 yr. multi-multi million dollar renovation, not a facelift. Completely gutted the place and started over. You have to see it to believe it. Everything is brand new and very chic, so none of the previous reviews apply when it was a run down Travellodge or Ramada. There is a completely new staff and management; very professional and friendly. I met Mark, the GM, who orchestrated the turnaround at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Dallas, so it's destined to be a major success. The photos on their Google + page still need to be updated, but there is lots of meeting space, a gorgeous new outdoor pool area and a fantastic restaurant, so whether you're traveling on business, hosting an event or just want an upscale convenient place to enjoy stay near the Galleria, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful hotel and very accommodating staff. Highly recommend. Sitting in the back by the pool quiet and relaxing even though it is located on the freeway. Easy driving access to restaurants (even though the bar and grill there has really good fare. Just needs more variety ) moves theater and all Houston hot spots
Attended an event there. The place was nice looking and the staff was friendly. Had valet parking and later found out it was optional but it felt like I had no choice.
The hotel is nice but it took housekeeping a while to clean our room.
Very confortable.... breakfast was pretty pricey. But over all it was great.
Decent place. I have stayed here multiple times and like it.
This property is awesome. We travel all the time staying at 4-5 star hotels all over the country. This property should be ranked 4 star.
