Starters were great, the salt and pepper prawns especially. Butter chicken main was tender and flavoursome.

Crown & Pepper is, and always has been, a vibe. I go there quite frequently with my mates to watch football games or to share a peng curry. The staff are super friendly and quick to help. If you're looking for an Indian pub or restaurant with a family atmosphere and a broad authentic menu, Crown & Pepper is the one you want to go to!

I went to this pub on 10/10/2020 and I was astonished by the atmosphere in this pub. Firstly I ordered chicken nuggets and chips and it came to me completely cold and my friend found a hair in her food once we stated this to the manager he was very abrupt and did not really want to offer a refund.





Once my friend went into the smoking area I observed no social distancing within that area and everyone was hanging around each other which I think was awful.

I would not come back here again and the smoking area does not meet with social distancing guidelines.

I was very disappointed and wish I could have got my money back for the cold food. Since I have eaten some of the food I feel completely sick.

I would rate this as zero for the manager s behaviour and the food/drink.

Great service, great food (I tend to go for the chinese/indochinese). My friends and I have been coming here monthly for years so definitely thought it was time to leave a review.

Absolutely dirty never go back again service was so bad menus dirty tables dirty needs redecorating so old looks like an old shed outside

FOOD IS GOOD BUT ALL THE OTHER THINK IN THAT PLACE REMINDS ME OF INDIA (BOMBAY )SOFA IS BROKEN ,TOILET SMELL,STICKEY FLOOR AND BROKEN CHAIR ALL OVER THE RESTAURANT .

It s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.

Crown & Pepper Croydon serves great Indian and Chinese food so you can get the best of the both worlds here.
The salt and pepper series are amazing and so are the curries.

Fantastic service and food.

We came after an Indian cricket game had finished so naturally it was busy but the owner had moved our reserved table to a quieter corner which we respected hugely as we didn't prompt him or ask him, and we had our grandma with us.

The waiter service was a bit slow but that's probably down to how many people were there.

I have a high benchmark for curries and this definitely is up there for me. There's proper flavour and it's all fresh from what I could tell.

Lovely delicious food . Reasonable prices. Only thing I didn't like was the benches there which in all honesty were disgusting as a few of them were really grotty. I did find that very off putting . Obviously those benches have been used for a long long time. Wanted to go but my friend wanted to stay.Find it hard to believe that management would think they were good enough to use. Hopefully they will get rid of them .

Definitely the only place in Croydon to go for food drink and a late night

Went here recently with my son. Staff very friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 main sizzling plates of food and shared and 2 lots of rice. Plus a bottle of wine between us. Food hot and tastey highly recommend. R.F. x

We were told to leave the restaurant at the middle because it was busy.They we're polite enough to ask to get out after they served the starter s.No complains!!

They have a great lunch menu and friendly staff... also have a shisha bar at the back...

As much as I rate the food as great verging on excellent I will not be rushing back... No social distancing people mixing with others on different tables, no hand sanitizer. Very lax with taking people's contact details.... Mgmt not really bothered as long as their staff are serving tables.... Sadly the last 4months of covid-19 is a distant memory where here is concerned....

Less than eight pounds for a delicious house special chow mein and a yummy won ton soup, their meal deal on Saturday. Great discovery on my first visit to Croydon. I'll try their Indian plates next time.

Has really gone down hill since the main worker left. Could do with some color as it looks very dull and boring. Place stinks and glasses are dirty. Food lacks flavor and is a disappointment to Croydon. Very untidy and needs clearing out.

I admire this spot! They provide superb meals, their menu is rich, The chef in that spot is an expert, I like very much eating all their dishes. The food is always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the customers is agreeable. I go often to this place and I not even once was discontended. I recommend it to all my friends.

Delicious Indian pub food; great atmosphere for this authentic pub in Croydon. They also broadcast football games from Sky and BT sport.

Been here a few times in the last few years. The atmosphere is always good, the place is always busy and the pints are great! Food is pretty good, although I've only eaten here once.

Everyone loves the crown and pepper. Best pub food in croydon, decent lager selection and always have a screen with the sports on. Suitable for everyone which is definitely a rarity

Very polite staff. I really liked them. Good crowd, nice beers, one advice please, just because pepper is in your name you don't have to put a lot of pepper in your dishes.

Great pub, great food! Both Indian and Chinese dishes are fantastic. Plus they have a lunch menu with two meals for a tenner. All very good value as the food is pukka. The beer is good as well! Top marks!

Odd pub in front and curry house out back. Beer selection poor but staff good. Screens to watch football however all are awkwardly placed.
