I always enjoy going to Crossfields. In my opinion, atmosphere, food and beer are simply very good together. And that together with the friendly and 'komoten' service let me get over the slightly higher prices.

The burgers and the mixed beer are highly recommended. :)

The place is pretty cool although the decoration is a bit touristy. The beers were really good and the fish and chips as well. Then we ordered chocolate cake for dessert and it took over 20 minutes to arrive and it wasn't because it was hot and fresh, it was pretty gross. Food on other tables looked good as well, just stay away from the chocolate cake.

Cozy pub.
A pub to fall in love with, a funny bartender and a big tap (of course) australian beers and food.
With billiards in the basement and souvenirs to buy at the bar.
Also with live matches of the Englich football.

Delicious homemade lemonade and a selection of typical Australian food.

Pleasant pub with really great food apart from the Grasshoppers. It's a tourist thing but if you must, just buy 1 as they are taste free. Its like eating crisp newspaper - mine still had the wings on. The rest of the menu is what you would expect, burgers, steak, kangaroo, crocodile.

Simply amazing! The food and the beer was excellent, coming quickly to the table, thanks to the always smiling waitress. I have no doubts we will go again next time we visit Vienna.

Tall fuzzy haired barman had a terrible atatude towards some customers calling them a piece of sh##, he seemed to go out if his way to wind people up, switching chanel 's on t .v when they were watching the football game, fake Australian

You can try many different unique types of meat here. Funny thing-our waiter was vegan..

Australian beer, kangaroo and crocodile roast, various salads and good atmosphere! And of course the waiters speak English!

Very relaxed atmosphere and great beer. If you fancy some kangooro or crocodile steaks this is right place. :)

Very friendly, prompt drinks service but rather slow with the food because of the shared kitchen facilities - which of course resulted in us having additional drinks !!

I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled about going to a themed pub. "How does this place make any money?" I thought to myself. It makes money because 1. The food is fantastic (curried kangaroo is 5 star), 2. The staff are lovely, fast, helpful, engaing, and 3. The ambience is actually fantastic. We were in the basement and the acoustics of the cozy room were really good. We could hear each other speaking and hear the music and there were lots of other people but their noises were being absorbed by the furnishings. Further, I misplaced my phone and a very kind staff member took me through the pub helping me look for it (it was in my pocket.... oops) and he took it in good humour. I highly recommend this place.... and I never expected to say that.

As I was disappointed I did not find their stand at the Vienna Film Festival, in the Rathausplatz, I went looking for them. As the only kangaroo dish contained two grasshoppers, I went for the crocodile schnitzel. And what a dish! Their Aussie beer is very good, goes well with the little red devils that they serve you the food with (hot peepers; very HOT peppers).

Its one of the best places in town to have a drink and the food is awesome!

Good atmosphere but I give a star because the person at the checkout who was not our waitress charged us a tip of 30% from the original price and did not want to know afterwards despite our remarks.

We only had hot chocolate. A bit expensive but it was thick, creamy and luxurious. I don't like marshmallows but in this drink they were spot on...

An Australian pub in Austria is liable to cause a double-take. However, it is heavily Australia-themed, with a somewhat stereotypical decor, featuring model sharks, crocodiles and references to the Great Barrier Reef.

The fish & chips tasted delicious, being quite spicy and with many small pieces of fish (as opposed to the single, large piece common in Britain). The meal was complemented by being served on a mock-up piece of newspaper, giving a somewhat stereotypical view of British affairs!

PS. I haven't been to Australia yet so I don't know how this compares with the genuine article.

Great beer selection, burgers are good, though quite expensive for the value. Whine and cocktail selection is mediocre, the drinks themselves are really good though. The atmosphere is nice, it gets noisy on the weekends and after 19:00.
The waiters are always very friendly.

Very interesting menu (kangaroo, crocodile, grasshoppers, ...).
Definitely worth a visit.
Who can say that he has eaten a crocodile, for example?

I read the reviews and almost didn't go there due to the negative reviews about smoking. They are rubbish! This pub is smokefree (something we had trouble finding). Staff are friendly and fun. You can have a cheeky banter with them and have a lot of fun. Some of the locals from Aussie also pop in to give us expat kiwis some stick....with some underarm comments LOL. I can highly recommend this pub and the prices are on a par with other similar venues.

The closest to an Aussie pub you will find in Austria, lively atmosphere at night. Typical Australian pub food but don't expect great quality. Good experience for non Aussies

Very expensive bar and horrible staff. We were here for Australia Day and were treated like aliens who had just landed. It's pretty expensive by Vienna standards but you're very close to the local attraction.

Good drinks. Good price. I love this pub because design has a strong personality.

Last year there was a smoking room here, now you can not smoke inside, but the atmosphere is still rainbow, the beer is delicious, the staff is friendly

Nice Australian bar (with a couple of decent Austrian beers on draft too). Ideal place to watch NRL, Super League (RFL), Aussie Rules on a big projector. Food is okay but a bit over priced.

Amazing selection of food! My only complain is the period of time we waited to receive our food (around 45 minutes), but it was definitely worth it.

As a fellow Aussie, I love this place. However it s crazy expensive (even more expensive that Sydney which is quite a feat). The interior is authentic and the beers look authentic even though I haven t heard of any of them before (apart from Fosters... which no Aussie would ever dare drink at home)

A wide range of cider and beer tapped and bottled makes it difficult to make a decision. There is also a beer tower where you can tap at the table, that's really cool.
In addition, there are various dishes and snacks which are quite good in terms of taste. Especially the cheeses coated nachos with a lot of guacamole are delicious.
The service is good too and usually quite fast so you do not have to wait long.
Price adjusted to the first district, I would classify this bar as medium price.
Table reservation is recommended for larger groups.
Clear recommendation for tourists but also for us Viennese.

A great pub that has been regularly visited for many years. Rather more expensive tasting.
Staff mainly speaks English.

In my opinion, this restaurant is one of the best or most interesting in Vienna.

Here you can expect a curious meal (kangaroo, crocodile, locusts), good foreign beer and some of the best burgers I have personally eaten.

All this is accompanied by a relaxed and indeed very 'Australian' atmosphere.

However, you should prepare for high prices (15 per burger) and English speaking staff.

Here you can eat some tasty kangaroo and bugs. Atmosphere is nice and perfect for tourists because the staff speaks English and it is located in the centre of Vienna.
However, it is a bit overpriced.
