Great local mountain with plenty of adventurous terrain. It's just a shame that the ticket prices just keep going up and up to the point where they're alienating a pretty substantial part of their client base.
Called for a package deal, which include room skis, lift tickets, and ski lessons. The staff was great, offering me options. The ski rental staff was great including storage staff. We had a great experience with our ski instructor Di Di! We will definitely make our next trip Crested Butte.
The views of the mountain was breath taking. The accommodations were better than we could ask for
So sick. Great terrain. Excellent snow. Amazing town. Never go here. ;)
My favorite ski resort. Great for learning, and great for those looking to go on the hardest and scariest runs within in boundries. Meaning the double blacks are mitigated and easy access from t bar lifts. Only here can you try what you see pros do in videos. I recommend having someone give you a tour of those insane cliffs. Do not attempt the extreme terrain in less you are an expert. I'm sick of getting tourist down off the cliffs, so think about that. Crested butte is never busy, the drive here is amazing. Staying either in town or gunnison is easy peasy. More easier than the headwall. Secret stash is a must to try, or take your family up to the cabin at night for a 4 course meal.
Crested Butte is one of the better places to ski in Colorado. Fun atmosphere, great terrian with realitively few people. It's one of the last great ski get aways left in Colorado.
Great place, location, and staff. Great comfortable room.
Great location, right in front of the lift, and mountain biking from the back porch.
GRAND Lodge was nice but the bike park not so much. The rental shop and repair shops are very poorly ran. You are basically just a $ sign to them. The Mechanics are rude and act as if though you are doing them a favor by paying them for a service. The so called chilled attitude is fake as far as I can tell.
Facility was pretty nice, but they were desperate for snow. The runs that were open were man-made and didn't connect very well with each other
Clean rooms spacious accommodations. Would definitely stay here again
I skiid here many times. Always nice. More expensive now that Vail took over.
Wonderful to catch the ski lift to the top and back. Stunning views.
We had a fabulous family ski vacation. We really appreciated the military deal.
It s horrible and the worst vacation in my life. I m here for Downhills, MTB from San Antonio where I m currently stationed(Active Duty Army). I would go other bike park like Winter Park, Vail or Angel fire but All of them are going to open next weekend or the following weekend. Crested Butte, evolution bike park is the only bike park that open this weekend. So I decided to come up here. I talked to couple of representative to make sure the bike park is going to open on 08 June before make any reservation. I spoke with someone on 31 May and 01 June. I spoke 3 different people to confirm opening date. I drove 20 hours from San Antonio to crested Butte. I was so excited and happy to drive 20 hours one way. When I got ticket for a lift ticket, I was shocked and panic because I was told they don t open this weekend for downhill trail. I am active-duty Army and going to be deployed soon. This is probably the last vacation before deployment. They messed up my vacation and waste my time and money. No one tried figure this out. They just kept telling me ride local trail. If the local trails are the only options I wouldn t come over here. I would go some other place to ride better local trail. I had no idea what to do. It s horrible vacation. It s definitely the worst vacation in my life.
Hospitality is fantastic and runs are great for all types of people.
MT Crested Butte is a beautiful place, great service, and is always a fun time. Best in Colorado. Best in America.
The room was pretty average but the resort itself is kind of magical. Loved this little city.
First thing is first I have to say that the guys and girls who are running the rides are all absolutely amazing. Their patience with my children was borderline sainthood! The resort is tons of fun but the staff really made it the special day that it was. Whoever is doing the hiring should really be proud of themselves! We will definitely be back!
I have been going here since I was born and have skied here ever since!! its a amazing resort and I have never been to a better ski resort. The amazing friendly staff makes the experience the best because all of them always seem happy to be there and super excited. The beautiful slopes are amazing for anyone! beginner? greens will be great!! intermediate? blues will be awesome! Expert? those blacks will do you right!! the slopes are amazing for everyone and anyone. The resort even has ski instructors for adaptive skiers, little kids, and adult! definitely recommend the great place for anyone!!
Has a great time with the family. Tons of stuff to do with the kids . I would come back for sure!
Beautiful, hard to see beyond the beauty. However the service is great and lifts only take you to more beauty! The kids activities are lots of fun too. Thank you for a fun day on the mountain.
A lot of semi back country to explore. Not very crowded on the weekend.
Love this Hotel. Right on the base of the slope...ski in ski out. Beautiful. Staff is nice and rooms are great some having a condo feel.
Best most extreme ski area in all the lower 48 states in my opinion.
4 days of skiing, no problems with lifts or staff. Snow was in excellent condition. Ski school for the kids was excellent, instructor did a great job!
A beaitiful place to ski. There is plenty of terrain for every type of skier/boarder. The resort village was nice and they have a fun adventure park (although tubing hill is very small).
BEWARE, may not be great place for families. Why? "costumes" approved by the resort include an effigy of naked women strapped the the back of a fellow skier. Not a single employee approached this skier about the appropriateness of what he wore. Hard to explain to my 6yr old daughter.
*Note- it was a kids ski free day.
Great location, friendly staff and good range of services.
Had a great trip. My first time here. There is plenty of terrain for every type of skier/boarder. The overall difficulty of the resort leans toward advanced, but those runs are further up the mountain away from the base areas. The resort village was nice and a little bigger than expected. Food on the mountain was good.
Fabulous resort. Out of the way, keeps everyone from beginners to experts happy.
Visited here for the mountain biking. Trails were good but could have been better maintained as they were very beat up by August when we visited. Stayed in a condo on the mountain. Great mountain with good access to adventure for most skill levels. Hiking and biking, lift access and plenty at the base to keep the kids entertained on a summer day. Nice shops provide a good mix of clothes and gear for all your mountain adventures and the typical souvenirs to take home with you. Food was good everywhere I tried and typical of mountain resort pricing for most. Definitely would recommend a visit here.
Best skiing. Very beautiful and it wasnt crowded on the slopes. Everyone was so nice.
The snow was low this past year but the resort was still a blast to ski. Have some super fun groomed blacks you can bomb down and awesome upper bowls. Cost is hard to beat too though that may change now that it's on the epic pass.
The slopes were great, but while I was here one of the elevators were broken and it made the hotel have long waits to get up and down.
Location is unbeatable, and resort is clean! Service is great as well.
Great skiing, variety of terrain, and comfortable places to hang out. Drinks were reasonably priced on the mountain as well. I've been coming for the last two years and I'll be back again!
We come to Crested Butte every summer and enjoy every bit of it. Never have a bad experience with the business establishments.
Highly recommend. Beautiful town with plenty to do and enjoy.
Good boarding and great prices. Best little ski town I've been to.
This place is awesome great game lots of snow. Very cold
Good snow, good people, good lodging. I'll be back
Google wants to accumulate your personal information to use against you when they please.
Wonderful ski town when the snow is good! Great people, and great atmosphere.
Multiple hotels and eateries, easy transportation from Gunnison, the closest airport
Nice hotel. I'd recommend this resort if stating in town.
Poorly run since the Vail purchase. Massive confusion on how to run things. Go ski a better mountain with better operations.
Town is awesome!
BE WARNED!! The manager (Chris) at lift ticket office is very rude and unprofessional. Great experience on the mountain otherwise
One our favorite places. Great mountain, town and people.
Great location. Outstanding little condo at an incredible price. Perfect for two people. Plenty of room with kitchen, eating, lounging, and sleeping areas. All the comforts of home and well maintained. We will return to this lodging. Magnitudes better than any conventional hotel/motel/resort. We've stayed at 5 star hotels that were not near as nice and comfortable as this condo. Would have been five stars but the bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Fun place to ride. Lots of intermediate and advanced terrain. Friendly staff.
Beautiful setting for a day wedding, the bathrooms are a bit far away but it's worth it for the atmosphere!
Good as always. Not much more to say. Incredibly convenient access to the slopes, which is almost certainly what you're here for.
In for a wedding at Crested Butte. Gotta say the place is amazing and I can see why people come here.
We were here for my nephews wedding. We went ziplining, and had a wonderful time!
Funky, retro and rather isolated resort with fabulous skiing. Great variety of terrain--something for all skill levels. When we were there, they were having biggest dump of the year so all the locals were out on the mountain. Biggest downside is relative lack of things like a decent grocery store. Upside was that restaurants were good
One of my favorite ski resorts period. The state of Colorado was low on snow throughout the state but this resort really did a great job making snow for the resort. My wife and kids had a great time. We were really impressed with the ski school program. We have been going to this resort for 15 plus years.
Amazing views to enjoy a drink from and also to start your hike to the summit from, it never disappoints!
We just had lunch on the patio. It was reasonable priced and the quality you expect from this type of place.
Nice operation, good staff, they have the corner on the market on the mountain but they still do a good job
The service was adequate. Everything was clean and tidy when we showed up.
Ski school staff was awesome-thanks Herb for taking time to get my kid squared away. On another note: Lift doesn't open till 9...? Not sure what that's about. Umbrella bar was nice. Great experience overall.
The atmosphere is extremely guest oriented. The slopes are great too! They have trails for beginners all the way to double black diamond so there is something for everyone. They also have ski/snowboard school for the little tykes up to adults.
