Great ski mountain with food, activities, and places to hangout on the mountain and in town.
Great skiing. Lots of super steep terrain. Terrain park not the greatest.
Can't as for anything more. It's a great mountain to ski/snowboard!
We ski here every year and the customer service is wonderful! Every year they have something new and always make needed improvements. Fun for the whole family!
Needs more snow but there's nothing anyone but Mother Nature can do about that! The groomers are in great shape and there are no lift lines. The town and resort are both outstanding!
Very good time, love the view's from the top of the mountains & Trisha was very helpful and nice, she took time to tell me some history. We'll return for sure in the future.
Attended a wedding here and it was wonderful! The food was delicious, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the location was awesome.
Great mountain! Wonderful town with lots of dining options. The views are gorgeous! Mountain trails are fun. Full mountain opens late December to early January. Cant wait to return.
Really nice staff who helped my wife when she injured herself hiking nearby even though we were not guest. Great location to the lifts.
First, I love Crested Butte and will continue to vacation here. But I won't be booking lodging through CBMR. I was recently in CB for a lovely wedding. I booked our "bedroom + loft" through the wedding portal setup by CBRM.
We had a very frustrating checkin experience. We showed up to the Plaza to check-in as the email instructed. The front desk receptionist just handed us a parking pass and key. No instructions what so ever. The parking pass said ax419. So we unpacked the car at the Plaza. Went to the fourth floor. Wandered around looking for 419.
Headed back down to the lobby and told her we think we are in Axtell. We then had to ask her how to get there. She seemed surprised we would need to know that. She had to go look it up. Told us she didn t know where it was but the address was 701 Gothic. So we headed back to the car and loaded it back up. Then spent 25 mins driving around trying to find the building. It s not at 701 Gothic. We had to call a friend to help us find it.
In the end it took us over 45 minutes to checkin and find our place and we were late to our event.
On top of that we rented a 1 bedroom + loft and we got two lofts. There are no doors to either room and the master is top loft and it is boiling hot up there. Also the beds/sheets were very uncomfortable.
Additionally we paid the high resort fee but the hot tub was closed.
In the end we could have paid less and had a better stay through a different source.
I have sent THREE emails and no one has ever gotten back to me...hence the disgruntled review.
Remains one of my favorite resorts. Lots of variety in terrain and the lift lines never get unbearably long.
Wonderful town, good people, good food, but most importantly good skiing!
The town is beutiful and the skiing is really fun. Its everything to look for in a ski town.
I enjoy snowboarding and cb is our local mountain. The choice pass makes it affordable for younger people to ski and board here
Always a blast, it's not possible to have a bad time
Crested Butte was an amazing location for outerbike! The event was well placed and very well run. Did not have a single complaint with anything over the 3 day weekend! This will be a yearly event for friends and family from here on out!
It's Crested Butte.. Small mountain town with breathtaking views. What's not to like!
We took the Silver Queen lift and the views we're amazing. Plan to hike to the peek next time up.
Best. mountain. ever. Will be coming back. thanks for the powder and the memories!
I didnt stay at the resort but did go through them to purchase ski lift tickets for downhill bike trails. It was simple and they were clear about what parts of the resort would cost or be free. All they charged for was the lift tickets. Parking, entry, etc were all free. There aren't a plethora of places to eat but for the size of the area it's pretty good and the restaurants are great original quality. I'd recommend the burger place and the place that's serves watermelon as a side. There's an awesome coffee shop in the entry way. All around had a straight forward and fun experience at the resort.
Great mountain. I carved this place up like a Thanksgiving turkey.
Three blessings
Definitely Colorado's best kept skiing secret. Great blue and black terrain without the crowds. The views are spectacular! Worth the drive.
I'm a local and I've been snowboarding here for the past 3 years. It's a great mountain.
Wonderful mountain, Good snow, Mostly short lines. Very Good lodges.
Excellent staff in the base Urgent Care, who I had the unfortunate opportunity to meet.
This is one of my favorite places in the world. It is majestic. In the middle of the Rockies and great views from the top. Cute little town too!!
Cubs ski school is pretty lame. Might as well let your kids play in the snow for a half hour instead of paying $150 for a lesson .
Everything was wonderful! Perfect location to ski in/ski out. Couldn't have asked for more....except maybe more snow!!!
Last night our group of 13 went to Ulley's Cabin for a great dinner with awesome service. Upon leaving, the snowcat pulling our sleigh began acting up. Immediately a ski patrolman on a snowmobile arrived and informed us there may be an issue and moved us back inside. Quickly a decision was made and the groomers were sent to help. Now we not only had an awesome meal, but we got to ride down the mountain in a groomer or on a snowmobile. Thank you CBMR for acting so quickly. We all loved our rides home.
Will never stay here again , rented a very nice and expensive place right at the base of the ski resort , we came all the way from South Carolina to ski and they didn t say anything about needing a reservation to ski , we were only here for 2 days and they wouldn t let us ski , said we needed a reservation, but to reserve a lift ticket you have to buy a season pass and that still doesn t guarantee you a lift ticket , shouldn t have to buy a season pass when you re only here for the weekend, we tried to make the best of the trip since they won t let us do the one thing we came here to do but everything is closed so there is nothing to do here , so we spent all this money and have to sit in our house and watch everyone ski from our back door , not to mention they have their phones set up not to take calls so you can get any customers service at all highly dissatisfied, will not be back
One of my favorite places to snowboard. They are a little out of the way for us making it expensive to ski locally and visit CB. Maybe when the kids are bigger we go again.
This place is small, but the terrain is all high quality. Very steep. Be ready to ride tbars to get to the good stuff.
Visited during the summer, 2 chairlifts open that let you ride up, then many hiking and biking trails to come back down the mountain. Easy to hard hiking and biking...
Non douche ski resort. AWESOME! Everyone is ridiculously friendly, good beer and phenomenal terrain.
Fantastic terrain, great people, This is a go to ski area.
Leave the bustle of I-70 resorts for no lift lines and plenty of food and entertainment options.
I like Crested Butte resort and specially Crested Butte town. Good assortment of runs and terrain. Overall, between the town and the free bus to and from the mountain it's just a really good vibe.
Great downhill mountain without crowds. Nice deck to have an after-ride beverage on while watching people come down the jump lines. Food is very good, a tad pricey, but not too bad.
Nice area for sight seeing. Came up the week after their wild flower festival but still a lot in bloom. Took the chair lift to the top, it's $22 but worth it. Lots of mountain bikers but they went there way and many other trails for hikers and walkers coming down the mountain.
Great mountain. Terrain available for all levels. Lots of fun things to do as a family, too.
Fun boarding. The banana peal run is a major workout on a board.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort was such an amazing site to see. The mount was like a portrait one would see in an art gallery. Skiing was intense and easy at the same time. The hot chocolate is to melt for and great view to take plenty of pictures!
Buy everything online in advance. Those who buy last minute retail will be financially overwhelmed... renting demo skiis is pricey and really pricey when you find out you are renting last years models.
I love the way Crested Butte it's a little out of the way so it is generally less packed than the rest if the resorts. It had a great assortment if runs that are suited for all levels of mountain sports. Winter or summer they have something for you. I have had the honor if getting to work with the adaptive sports program there. They are a great group of men and women. That truly care.
Skiing and snowboarding here are great. Plenty of fun trails. The town is a fun place to hang out too.
One of our favorite spots in Colorado. Many trails shut down and roads under construction, so hopefully back to normal soon.
First off, the mountain is beautiful as is the town. Pretty well isolated with steep long runs. One of my favorite mountains in Colorado.
I've loved this mountain as long as I've been here but Vail has made the cost of literally everything go up substantially.
Quintessential mountain town and fabulous ski resort still with that laid-back feel
I helped build this hotel when it was know as the Grand Butte Hotel, just beams and concrete floors back in 1980. It looked shabbily built back then, But I had no decision making nor opinions working for the contractors building it. After the building was completed and opened. I went to work for security here. And boy you could really see the shoddy work inside. And back then it was over priced. Haven't been back there since. Do not know what this place is like anymore.
My favorite place to ski. Laidback people in a great environment.
Absolutely wonderful stay at The Grande Lodge. Every employee strove to make our vacation absolutely wonderful. It felt more like coming home than going away. The location and mountain are challenging, rugged and breathtaking. The people you meet are ski lovers that enjoy the challenge of a mountain on her own terms. Can't wait to be back.
CB is a great Colorado town to visit. We had a great time staying at this place. The hot tub is great.
Crested Butte is probably my favorite town in Colorado. My wife had never been to crested Butte before so we went for a quick weekend trip. The plan was to just spend the night but we had so much fun we decided to stay an additional night.
The hotel is right at the base of the mountain. Just a few steps from the lifts. Hotel has a great pool and the staff was incredibly helpful. There are frequent shuttles into town for shopping or dining. We will definitely be back to ski season today. I want to go snowboarding on the mountain where I first snowboarded years ago.
