I've been coming to CB for the last 5 years for the great mountain biking it has to offer. This year, however, I was let down. The bike park trails are in very bad shape - badly rutted and washed out.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort offered amazing experiences for everyone who is a beginner to afvanced skiiers and snowboarders. The Zipline crew was fantastic as well, we had a great time on the tour. Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful. I wish we never left!
lots of fun activities for adults and for teens and children ... somewhat pricey but worth it for the mountain adventures
Great family spot. Went with a group of 13 of all levels and everyone had fun.
If you love going fast, or getting into extreme terrain, this is the resort for you. The only problem is that once you ride Crested Butte, every other resort will seem boring and flat!
So much in one central location. Many rental shops, restaurants (although they can be a little more expensive), and gift shops. The people are nice
Aside from the normal disorganization at the umbrella bar, it was a blast!
My time here was great, the lodgings were cozy and the slopes were amazing.
A wonderful variety of runs for beginners to experts, great terrain parks for a broad range of snowboarders and skiers. The food at the diners here is also higher quality yet cheaper than at most resorts. I would recommend a trip here to anyone, especially on a powder day!
It is a wonderful place, perfect to snowboard and for the people who love the nature
Awesome mountain for skiing. Limited crowds compared to everything off of I-70. Fun terrain for skiiers of all levels.
So here we've got a multi million dollar company and they've got exactly one dude working the ticket counter to service about 40 people, and they have exactly two computers that we all have to share to sign a waiver. Get it together!
What a place! It's a wonderland in the middle of the mountains. Excellent skiing! Acres of runs to explore. Plenty of steeps for the parents as well as tons of greens and blues for the less adventurous. The resort had everything you need. And what they don't have, you can find in the coolest town right down the road. Crested Butte is a must visit for the outdoor enthusiasts!
This place is the true doughnut HOLE of the colorado rockies. The resort is SMALL and too crowded most days. In other words, the MINIMAL snow we get, gets skiid up in no time. Dont let them [vail] tell you anything different because they will try.
Friendly staff, beautiful scenery, awesome runs. We highly recommend it to everyone!
Great place to going skiing and the staff is extremely nice.
Was really impressed. Nice to have after a cold day.
went there for mountain biking, had a blast, could use more trails. But still fun
RESERVE RENTALS ONLINE. Do not ever expect a walk up rental. They have not planned well with their rental inventory to the number of visitors.
I may have missed it, but there is a lack of promotion for reserving rentals days in advanced.
I may be picky, but I wanted in line 30 minutes for a day pass and rental...To have them tell me they were out of rentals. They could have posted it at the front of the line. They could have shouted over the crowd to let them know about the equipment shortage.
Their map for shops is out of date. The Christie's Sports is not in the correct location. I suggest updating that.
Wonderful bike park. The lift lines weren't too busy but I imagine they were earlier in the summer.
Great selection of terrain. easier runs even tend to be less crowded since more people are attracted to the black terrain.
I love CB, but it's turning onto a bit of a Texan hang out. It'd be awesome except for all the Texans.
I miss it live there for years great for snow skiing sightseeing beautiful scenery wish I was back there now
The hotel room was comfortable and had a nice small kitchen. The lack of air conditioning was uncomfortable and the small trash can made it so trash really piled up on the counters if you bring any foods or drinks with you. The major plus is the location and views.
Small quite. So stay away. We wouldnt want to see much change.
The best when theres snow, the worst when there isnt
Vail is ruining the last great ski town in Colorado
If you get a condo right next to the mountian you can ski/snowboard right down to the lift! It's also beautiful with many runs to choose from.
Great mountain, great town, great people. Just love this little piece of paradise tucked in at the end of the road. Wonderful in all seasons
Great tree skiing and cheaper condo prices than many other mountains!
Gorgeous suite. Impeccably clean. Everything you need including full service beauty salon, facials, massages, fitness room, restaurants and more. A must stay.
Wife and child had full day lessons and were told to purchase a lift ticket (adult $130) and they did not even utilize the ticket for the class. The class was not close to being enough for a successful attempt at even the bunny slope. TOTAL RIP OFF! Asked cashier if there was an option to credit it back or even a percentage, "The magic carpet, conveyor belt is your lift you paid for." I'm not an idiot and know this place is a tourist trap and it is expected to over pay for various things. It was also super frustrating that the kids lessons were so in organized and several adult instructors were u pleasant and unwilling to really help! Very disappointed.
A guy by the name of Geoff Oros helped our group and was great!
Please send more snow! Otherwise this is gonna be a long week.
Staff was help full and kind. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. Food was awesome. And sking was amazing.
Beautiful resort. Great mountain biking trails and disc golf.
Love skiing there. Great for all levels. Long and short runs, side mountain ones so you don't have to make it to the main lifts every time. A few food/bathroom spots around the mountain too for breaks
Expensive day tickets but totally worth it. Have not gotten to ride the entire mountain yet but have managed to hit all but the north face lift and I have only heard great things about the terrain under that lift. I have hear legends about "sock it to me ridge" and am dying to ride. The resort is consider to be "the last great ski town" and it is very nice because it lacks the pretensions that sometimes can be found at ritzier resorts.
Love this place to ski and hang out! Parking lots are kinda small and muddy, and not well signed when it costs money.
We had such an amazing time skiing here. Beautiful mountain. Not very crowded. Can't wait to be back
Magical! This resort is modern and yet still contains that small town off the beaten track feel.
Have only been in the summers, amazing place.. They always seem to have free concerts there in the evenings. The 4th of July 2019 fireworks show was the best I've seen. Much love from Texas!
Lift operators play favorites and allow people to cut lines. I waited in line to ride the tbar like everyone. In the time of waiting I watching them send up a single. Then with 3 people to go a guy cuts the entire line and insisted to ride with me. I told the guy he shouldn't be cutting the line and I was riding by myself. The lift line guys said it was okay for the guy to cut the line and that I wasn't allowed to ride single. They seemed to me to be playing favorites which isn't cool in my book.
Just breathtaking beautiful! Cant wait to go back.
This ski area is up.there in my favorites with Telluride and A Basin.
We utilized their kids programs while attending a professional event. Staff was very accommodating and flexible. Glad we could work out our difficult schedule needs.
Fantastic ski resort without the crowds and chaos of the ones off of I-70.
Beautiful, cool place! You cannot beat CB for natural beauty. As a CO resident, I have been pretty much everywhere in our great state and CB and Telluride are tops on my list. CB is a very special. The old town of CB itself is a beautiful old historic area. It honestly makes Breckenridge look lame. M CB is pretty small but posts great ski resort. The valley here is broad which leads towards great views in every direction from almost everywhere, unlike the steep and narrow valleys of some of the ski resorts are panoramic views cannot be found unless you're up at the top of the lift. Amazing place!
This is a great time to ride down a mountain and enjoy the berms and jumps. I wish the breaking bumps going into the jumps were less prominent, especially considering the $50/day cost. Strangely, the trails that are free are in better shape. But you have to climb up. Take your pick .
Good room at decent price, staff friendly and helpful. Short walk to slopes, ski valet included.
Great mountain with very friendly locals. Has better skiing for intermediate to expert skiers. The base area has a lot for non skiers. Also be sure to get a waffle next to the Red Lady lift. They are worth the wait.
Great time, mtn biked, hiked, & took raft down the town stretch of the Gunnison. Parade and Fourth of July fireworks we're a good show.
Great place for a family vacation. Staff in all areas are very accommodating.
Such a positive experience! Great for families as there were activities for all ages. The ski lift offered beautiful scenery, there was a live concert, mini golf and bunji jumping. I loved that everything was so accesible and easy to find. There was always friendly faces welcoming us and offering suggestions and help.
