Wonderful place with spacious rooms and excellent local cuisine. Tastefully decorated with a nice spa. Great place to experience the Cretan architecture and hospitality.

We loved the atmosphere the place offers

We had a room that looked like a grandma's house !! In addition it was necessary to pass the railing of the bed to reach it. We could not go around the bed either, a couch and a floor prevent us. Incredible I had never seen such an arrangement. On the other hand beautiful view and beautiful location. But beware of the noise of clims outside. It spoils the calm that we come to seek.

The service was not at the level of the price we paid (compared to all the other places we have stayed in Crete):
The reception of the manager was very cold and expeditious, he clearly wanted to get rid of us.
The service normally included a swimming pool: it was empty and no compensation offered, the receptionist even answered us quite curtly (we would have appreciated at least an entry to the spa to compensate).
We had asked for breakfast boxes because we were leaving early the next day, we had to go and claim them twice at the reception to finally get 2 poor sandwiches with sandwich bread, an apple and a plum, all for 2.
No receipt, we still do not know how much we were charged it will be the surprise.
It's a shame, this establishment really does not honor the sense of hospitality of the Cretans.

A very original hotel, full of charm, perched on top of a small village. Access is a little difficult when you arrive the first day and can surprise. It is necessary to come there for the tranquility of the places, the closest beaches being in minimum 20 minutes of car. Note that we are in a 4 stars and services (spa, bar, catering) are extra depending on your bookings. The staff is very kind and caring.

Had a great stay during our honeymoon to Crete. Lovely rooms, nice and spacious with a good bed. Big plus: different types of pillow to choose from!
Associated restaurant served breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. All equally good and fresh.
Staff is extremely friendly and the hotel + public areas are clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing. It is situated in a small village, far from the craziness of the towns around it.

I arrived in the morning. Noon I was in the jacuzzi and my hair was green. (is blanc) due to chlorine overflow. Unacceptable. It has nothing short or a mini market. If you go there you are blocked at the hotel, which is not the most special. The rooms are low as low as you can get asphyxiation. Moreover, they spoke with booking for my reservation cancellation (I mean I left) and then trying to connect to the booking with my e-mail the booking with me has been disguised as a user. In addition, I was reminded of booking if I found the conversation I had with them and I was helpful. While I did not get a phone call, I was told something they like.

Love this place. Loved our room, we booked one of the biggest rooms there and it was impressive. The breakfast was simple but I loved the Cretan pies and the cake. The SPA was awesome (You have to pay extra but it's worth it), the staff are very friendly and helpful. Love the location of the hotel even though the drive through the village is a bit crazy (watch out for the one very small trafficlight). The village of Mochlos is pretty close by, there you have some amazing restraunts (Dimitri's and Bogazi were my favourites). We loved it so much we didn't want to leave.

In Crete, in Cressa Ghitonia, the weather does not matter ... not what it is, the weather is always fine anyway, but what passes. Throw away your watch, forget any idea of measurement and indulge yourself with delight for a few days in this ultimate luxury of living out of time!
Live this dream ... if you manage to find this atypical hotel, nestled in the heights of the village of Sfaka!
The welcome from Dimitra and his team, small but very efficient, is so friendly that very quickly you will no longer feel at the hotel but like family at home ...

What a hidden gem of a place. The staff are super friendly, food ia great and the property is something beyond words. The property has 12 rooms all unique as they are converted cave homes for when the site had bakers and other trades persons living here.

You are surrounded by local homes and tennants which adds to the overall charm of this place. We definately would recommend this place to anyone looking for something off the beaten path with 5star appeal.

2015 really special .. All one and one. At the worst it is worth, at the best it enchants!

The room is very spacious and nicely decorated. View and equipment of the area very good. In warm weather, a small pool and the many lounge loungers invites you to relax The spa area for 10 is definitely worth it, if the weather does not play along.

A very special place. The apartments are abandoned houses of the local population, prepared with attention to detail.
To get to the hotel, you first have to drive through half the village (attention: very narrow streets and steep climbs) to the highest point of the hill. It's a bit adventurous, but it gives you an idea of how the local population lives.
The view from the hotel over the surrounding landscape is unbeatable!
The staff at the hotel are always friendly and take great care of their guests.

Unprecedentedly quiet and picturesque. The hotel is on a mountain with fantastic views. Very friendly and helpful staff. At breakfast a choice of various freshly made eggs. We had a nice spacious room by the pool. Lovely bed. It is a bit further away from the tourist hotspots but that is what makes it so special. There is a small spa that you can use privately and the massages are great. Not suitable for people with mobility problems due to style roads and stairs. But a wonderful place for a romantic get away.

Atypical hotel. Nothing to do with the establishments of the coast. But do not look for the big swimming pool and the multiple activities, here it is calm and rest. Lost at the top of a small village, it's the change of scenery. Nice rooms, quality food (although a little pricey) perfect breakfast and friendly staff.
