I cannot recommend Cranney more highly. Our boiler and water heater both kiboshed at the same time, and we have 2 young kids. The team at Cranney mobilized and sprang into action, expediting the paperwork, and making sure that we didn't spend weeks without hot water. SUPER professional, friendly, and they cleaned up afterwards! Thank you!

Nick and Peter installed two new hot water heaters in our two-family. They were on time and polite, neat, and responsive to our questions. They just left, but everything seems to be working perfectly.

Anthony was prompt upon arrival to my home. He was professional when he entered and assessed the situation with the leaky pipe in my basement. He was knowledgeable in the sense that he knew immediately what to do. He made some adjustments and tested the lines to ensure the issue was resolved. I would highly recommend having Anthony come out and do plumbing work at your home. You won t be disappointed.

Amazingly overpriced, they wanted to charge over $800 for a simple hour's worth of plumbing, I had it done for $120. No wonder they want to charge $49 to come out and look at the job.

I requested plumbing services ( first time) of Cranney Home Services of which I am a member. Their tech, Frank T, arrived on time . A walk thru was done to evaluate any other potential issues regarding heating/ plumbing etc. Frank provided an estimate of all work discussed during the walk thru. We agreed on the scope of work for this visit ( Shower mixing valve repair or replacement). Frank proceeded thru a step process of trouble shooting the possible issues resulting in a successful repair. The work was done in a professional and timely manner.
Future work will be scheduled. I am a happy customer.

The technician was very nice and polite. Unfortunately the head office sent the wrong tech out because they were patronizing and did not pay attention to the type of heating system i was describing. They installed the system so you would think the people making the appointment would be familiar with the system. Instead now another tech must be sent out. So now they wasted my time and the techs time. Very disappointed with the schedulers. The tech was very nice, just wrong one.

I highly recommend Cranney Home Services. We called with an issue regarding our AC unit, that was causing water in our basement. They sent a truck out at 9am the next morning. Kathleen, our technician, arrived promptly at 9am. She was polite, professional and extremely thorough. She walked me through what was wrong with the unit and explained what she needed to do to fix it. She even took before and after photos to show me the work she had completed. I could not be more impressed with this young lady. When the job was done, She cleaned up the dirty, wet basement floor, and did not leave until she made sure everything was working perfectly. She was a complete professional.

Justin was very professional and friendly and quickly fixed my issues.

Cranny completed a whole house inspection of the electric systems and made recommendations relative to safety improvements. The two technicians we very courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Jimmy and his crew replaced our 20+ year old central air system. Completed in one day and had the house nice and cool again on one of the hottest days of the year.

Anthony was awesome. He went above and beyond to help us with getting a permit. He has an excellent customer service and he is excellent on what he does. He installed few electrical out let s for us. I will definitely call Craney company and definitely Anthony. He did all the work in one day. The price was fair and lower than other estimates.

Had a great experience with these guys - from the first person who picked up the phone, to the guy who came out to my condo! We had a pretty unusual situation going on with our A/C, which one company had already failed to properly diagnose or fix. Justin I. from Cranney came out, did an incredibly diligent and thorough diagnosis of the problem - with a lot of outside the box thinking! - called in additional opinions to make sure he was on the right track, and kept me in the loop the whole time. He was respectful, kind, and had a good sense of humor about our issues too!

They are not the least expensive.....BUT... they show up when they say they will, do the job really well, clean-up, stand by their work, and do not upsell unnecessary services.......so for a few dollars more, this is much more than worth it! Anthony was great, pointed out what I should look for in the future in terms of life expectancy of my water heater, the condition of some of my original valves (lucky that they are stuck open and not leaking) that should be replaced, recommended going to the city and replacing water meter.....long past prime, explained why the faucet has failed, and answered any other questions that came to mind. 4 Star only because of price, but like I said the difference is worth it

Alec was exceptional. He was courteous and professional. He communicated well, with detailed explanation of services and products. I found him to be both pleasant and knowledgable.

He also demonstrated respectful consideration for this home owner and house pets.

I am so happy to be part of the Cranny Co. subscribers. I can call them with any problem connected to heating, plumbing, electric and drain problems. they are courteous and knowledgeable about these things. I highly recommend their service.

Dave arrived promptly at 8 am and greeted us with a cheery "Good Morning" before introducing himself. He put on his shoe protectors immediately and proceeded to get right to work. He thoroughly explained the condition of our furnace and what he could do in order to ensure our heating system would be in good condition for the winter. He made excellent suggestions for additional work that would be beneficial. Although this work was not scheduled for our appointment, he was willing to get it done that day. Dave was very friendly, communicated well, and gave us confidence that he was skilled at his job.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Karl and Cranney a 25. You will not find a more efficient, highly-skilled technician than Karl. He walked me through what was going on. He was also extremely knowledgeable about their other services, which I definitely will use and recommend. And Cranney customer service is top-notch. All costs were competitive and fair. Thank you for your promptness, reliability and advice on maintenance.

Very helpful, fast, friendly, efficient, solved my problem in the most economical way.

A few months ago I had them put in a ceiling fan in my bedroom I used it for 1 night and I woke up to insulation all over the floor and whenever I closed my door it shakes the room a bit and insulation falls from the fan I have a trash bag on my ceiling. I have tried calling back 3 times but they never got back to me and also it cost a fortune I don't recommend this company.

We were very happy with the crew (led by Max) who came out today to dismantle our old central AC unit and install a new one along with a new thermostat. They arrived promptly and were friendly, polite and professional. They were able to get our old clunky unit out of the attic through a very tight space....impressive! They also cleaned up very well when finished. We highly recommend Cranney Home Services and will definitely use them again!

Excellent job. Very professional. Took time to explain everything about what he installed and about all the warranty information. Practiced safe social distancing and wore mask the entire time. Highly recommend.

Mike is super nice and informative. I hover over people who work on my house, and ask a lot of questions. Mike wasn't annoyed. He made my disposal work, and went away. Soon after, I couldn't get it to work, and called a very pleasant person, who then let Mike know. He called one hour before he would arrive, but he wanted to know what specifically I was doing. Turns out, I didn't realize that it is a disposal with a feature which makes it impossible to mangle your hand, or have unwanted stuff drain down. Mike saved me $50, by being patient enough to explain, and re-explain, until I figured out how it works.
Unfortunately, you have to wait all day, until they get there. The time frame they gave me was, "today".

Reilyn our plumber was delightful and knew his stuff. What more can you ask for. A perfect fix done with personality.

Update: Hot water heater died. Called Cranney and they were out the next day to replace the water heater. Great company and great to work with. Justin Thompson did a great job on the install and was an all around good dude.

Cranney H.S. was great to work with. They replaced my boiler with a new high-efficiency and replaced all the pipes I've been hitting my head on with pex tubing routed totally out of the way.

Guys showed up as scheduled and completed my request perfectly. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Cranney very well organized. I would highly recommend them to anybody for home services.

Just had my 110 yr old house completely air conditioned through Cranney Home Services. They were the cleanest crew I've ever had work in this house...and we"ve had many over there years. They consulted with me whenever there were options for placement of events, compressors, or units. Old houses can be challenging...you never know what you will find once you open a wall and there were a few surprises but they worked through each issue professionally and with an eye to staying on budget. If you ever need major HVAC work, I recommend this crew.

I love Cranney!!!!They come when they say they are going to come, and always do awesome work. But what I like most is the fact that ALL of the guys who come to my house always have such a positive attitude. They are smiling and educate me as if I were sitting in an electricity (or plumbing etc) class. Their attitude is a reflection of the culture there. I will always patronize Cranney for my electric and plumbing needs!

One of your employees, Michael Brennan, was doing a job in Marblehead
on July 20, 2018. I was in the mailroom with a large bundle that had been delivered and had no idea how to get it to the 3rd floor. He said he was going to the same floor and I asked him if there was a chance he could help me get it upstairs in the elevator.
Michael very politely took it upstairs and left it at the door.

Mike & Justin were very professional. They arrived pretty much on time. Got the job done with ease.

Our water heater stopped working. 1) Cranney was prompt for our appt, and they were able to fit us in quickly. 2) When we asked if we needed to think about replacing, they were quick to reassure us that a repair would suffice (and be MUCH less expensive.) We had one other company come out for a price comparison and their repair quote was significantly higher and they strongly suggested we replace rather than repair. We had Cranney do the repair today and are fully satisfied.

Max Brown and Justin worked on my Mom's furnace yesterday. They both worked hard to get everything operational and the price was fair. They were very professional and kind, and did the work quickly. They had to leave to get the right parts, but made sure Mom was well taken care of and also assisted her in setting up an appointment to have the air conditioning serviced before the start of the season. Mom is under contract with Cranney and they didn't disappoint. Both Max and Justine are excellent representatives of the company. I thought you should know. Her name is Eugenia K and she lives in Salem. Please make sure their managers know how great these two young men are!

I received a phone call telling me what time to expect the plumber to arrive. Reilyn was right on time, was very pleasant and wore booties in the house which I greatly appreciated. He asked me first if I had any concerns and took care of that first and then did the inspection. Made a few suggestions, none of which needed immediate attention but said to call if and when I wanted to take care of them. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

First the tec, Karl, was great. Very friendly professional and explains everything very well. My low rating has more to do with the way they setup appointments now which feels like a bait and switch. When I setup my appoint for annual service I was told $79. But it turns out that was just to show up to my house and the actual service cost $309. So the total bill is almost $400! At no point when I made the appointment did they say there would be any cost other than the $79 and since it s an annual cleaning it seems like there are not a lot of variables involved. Especially since they boiler is only a year old and they installed it. I will be looking elsewhere for next years service.

The Cranney team did an excellent job replacing our HVAC system. The team was polite and professional, and took time to explain the process and the new system during and after their work.

I've been using Cranney Services for over two years, for furnace, electrical and plumbing, and I have always been pleased and impressed with their professionalism and customer service.

Paid nearly $20,000 to have Cranney install new furnace, condenser, AC unit.
Was told Cranney will register all 3 units for me right after installation. They never did, I registered them after 60 days, lost the extended warranty.

They missed two appointments in a row. No apology. I have another one scheduled. If all goes well, this review will stand. In the past they have been excellent.

Completed a 2-day install in 1-day. Did a great job! Jimmy is great. Was super knowledgeable, explained everything really well, easy to understand. Highly recommend.

Scheduled an appointment with a 10am -11am window for service. Cranney called me morning of to change time to 8am-9am. They then called me back again to change time back to the original time. To then not have the service person arrive until 12:30. Disrupted my work morning to say the least. Found their services pricey for the amount of time spent on site. The service person was polite and professional.

This morning I woke up to a weather report that talks about 100 degree temperatures on Saturday....and a leaking air conditioner. I immediately called Cranney - it was 5:30am - and Debbie called me back at 7:15am. She greeted me with a "guess who this is?" in a very friendly, calm manner. Debbie then let me know that someone would come today, was that ok? And of course I said yes! But what I really want folks to know is that Debbie comes across as a very calm, comforting, and very cheerful person - just who you want to speak with when you are mildly panicking that your air conditioner is leaking on a hot humid summer day.

Cranney fix my folks heating and hot water in front of the blizzard Jan 2018. My folks are near 90 yo, and being without heat and hot water could have been devestating for them. Record low temperatures coming for the weekend .

Cranney was quick, informative, and curtous. They handled pretty much everything.

Professional workers, arrived on time and were very neat and careful in my house.

These guys ruined my hardwood floors and refuse to take responsibility. About a year ago we paid Cranney to put in a brand new 10,000$ heating and air conditioning system in. About 6 months later we noticed our hardwood floors were cupping and getting darker. We call them in and they wetvac out 10 gallons of water from in the floors. They also put in a condensation pump to redirect the water to a different drain. We paid for all of this.

A month or so later, I think to myself, Damn, these guys botched that job, I have 10,000$ worth of floor repairs to do and I had to pay for the installations measures to be done correctly? . I call them back asking for some compensation for my floors, but they simply state that it was my drain that backed up 6 months later. This system produces maybe a half a quart of water per day. It would have literally taken 3 months for that amount of water to accumulate. Basically all Summer; the entire duration of the time the system would have been producing condensation.

Cranney either neglected to notice a blatant pre-existing issue, did not perform any kind of diagnostic test or created a blockage themselves in the drain. There is no other input into the drain and there wasn t a problem there beforehand as far as I can tell. I would not recommend using Cranney because if anything goes wrong, they will duck out of the way faster than you can say This cost me a lot of money!

Plumber called before he arrived, and arrived on time. He was polite and respectful of me and my home .He was skilled, he spotted right away why I had a leak and repaired it. He explained what happened and how he was fixing it. He also called the office to be sure that i was covered under my warranty. Thanks for always providing such good service

The guys did an excellent job on installing a new Burnham MPO-IQ boiler and a HTP indirect water heater. Thank You very much for finishing it in 1 day.

Tony was great. He was experienced and efficiently solved then problem. I called on a sunday and had help at my home I m under 2 hours. I will definitely use Cranney again.

We belonged to their "loyalty" program for the past year but won't be using their services again. Cranney has done plumbing and electrical work for us. For the most part, the work had been fine and the guys who came out to do the work have been good. At first my main issue was with the scheduling: they have an office to do scheduling but somehow they never manage to get it right. We'd be scheduled for a time window and they'd show up hours later. I know jobs run long and traffic in the area is awful, but no call from the office, no update, nothing. Why pay the higher price for a company with a scheduling office if it doesn't mean effective, responsive scheduling? Second, their prices are just high; at least $100 bucks more to install a ceiling fan than another electrician's quote. Third, and this was the last straw, prompting me to write this review: they installed a ceiling fan in our infant's room in an unsafe way. The fan ended up being faulty and had to be uninstalled. When it was taken out, we saw that the fixture box was loose. We could literally jiggle it. It also wasn't secured to the ceiling joists. Instead of telling us we needed a different box to hold the weight of the fan or that it wasn't possible to install a fan securely, they'd installed a 30 pound fan into a loose box in our baby's room! So, yeah, you don't even get what you pay for.

Justin & Patrick from Cranney were very professional. They patiently answered all my questions and addressed all of my concerns. They arrived on time and had the job finished within the predicted time frame. I would highly recommend them.
