My home had non-emergency problems (2) with the HVAC system. Scheduling a visit was easy and the customer service rep asked the necessary questions to detail the appropriate tech for servicing my unit. The technicians arrived as scheduled. The techs were very thorough with their diagnostics and repair. The details of and choices for the repair were completely explained as was the cost of the options. I felt very comfortable with the level and competency of the service, the communication skills throughout the process, and the follow-up Q&A by both the techs and the front office of Cranney Home Services.

Nick I. and his apprentice, Nick N., just left my house after I had a laundry list of plumbing problems for them. Not only were they able to fix every single item on my list, some items more tasking than others, but they found other problems in my house that needed attention and took care of them too. They were very professional and very respectful. They were considerate of my property while they worked, taking extra steps to prevent any messes. Any mess that was made was thoroughly cleaned up once the projects were completed. They explained the diagnostic process and once a problem was identified, they explained their repair options and prices and made sure I was on board with everything before they went to work. I felt informed during the whole experience, which is great for someone not so handy. Never once did I feel like they were trying to sell me something that I didn't need. Cranney should be proud that they have technicians like Nick and Nick out there representing their company. Two thumbs up. Thanks Guys!

There aren't enough stars to give to Cranney. One month after moving into our new condo, we awoke to no heat (not totally unexpected since the furnace was 20 years old (but give me a break). Had no idea who to call, so called Cranney who had a service sticker on the furnace. Within 3 hours, the service truck arrived and diagnosed the problem, we opted to consider a new system, the salesperson arrived and the contracts were signed with great financing (0%) arranged and a sweet MA $1000 rebate. The installers arrived the next morning and by 2PM we had a brand new warrantied furnace and full A/C system heating the house. When they left, there was not as much as a piece of cardboard or an old screw left behind.

Every single worker was polite, hard-working and informative. They kept me informed during every step of the process and constantly asked if I had any questions. I never felt pressured into making the decision to replace rather than repair. I felt that every bit of advice given was honest rather than up-selling. When finished, the condo was cleaner than when they came.

In summary, I have never used Cranney before and would never consider using anyone else.

The service was excellent. The service technicians were very friendly, the job they did in the installation of my boiler system was very well done. The technician was very careful and thorough in cleaning up. They placed drop cloths from the door to the boiler room. All the technicians wore masks and were very careful. The job was very well done, I highly recommend Cranney Home Services. I will gladly use them again.

The crew installed a new boiler with new piping. They did a great job. The piping was clean and done with purpose and expertise. They explained each detail before and after the job was completed. They're a professional, skilled, and knowledgeable group.

Woke up on Saturday morning with sump pump on and water in my cellar. By 7 am I spoke with on- call person who said a technician would be out to secure old hot water heater. By 11:30 Justin the technician arrived. He was personable, professional, and explained everything to me. And he brought the correct hot water heater and was able to install it immediately!!!!

Rey is courteous, helpful, and efficient. He replace my faucet and explained everything so I would understand the work. He gave me estimates for future work, and did a great job cleaning up after himself. All around, terrific service and no more leaks! Hooray.

Professional but the biggest price gouging I ve ever experienced. Charging 4-5 times what other qualified companies charge. Glad I canceled before going any further with them. Definitely won t use again!

Good experience overall. Electricians showed up, diagnosed the problem, and got right to work. I think they were here a total of 30 minutes, and I'm happy with the result.
Not 5 star because although I called on a Tuesday and booked for Wednesday, they called about noon on Weds to reschedule for Thursday. There was no time frame, just a promise to call 30 minutes before anyone arrived. They showed up at 8am on Thursday with no call. While I'm glad to get it out of the way early, I'm on vacation this week so I was lounging around in my pajamas... Not really how you want to answer the door.
So, happy with the work, happy with the service, not as happy with the scheduling.

I had a problem with my Gracier faucet leaking water in the bathroom. Cranney's help was fast and efficient. Justin H. was very professional and replaced the faucet. That was a very good job.

Always find it easy to book appointments and get service and complete explanations of work to be done and the Techs communicate their results upon completion.

Nick and Patrick were at my house take care of some plumbing issues. My water main shut off was leaking and replaced some shut off valves in cellar. They did a great job! Very professional and friendly.

The HVAC technician who came to our house, Mike, was very professional. He was knowledgeable and patient enough to explain the problem and solution thoroughly so that I could understand. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to a friend. Very personable and friendly.

As a value plan member I booked a heating system check. I took a day off work and waited all day. At 5:30 they called and said they wouldn't be coming. I couldn't get another appointment for 10 days. Took a morning off work. They called after the appointment time frame and said "they are not available to come today. I should rebook a month from now when they're not as busy". Terrible service. I cancelled my Value plan membership. They don't provide the services promised.

These guys were highly recommended and are great. I would recommend them to anyone needing these services. I have an old house and old equipment needing some tender love and care and these guys delivered. Thank you so much!!!

Bryce came in and was friendly, courteous, and efficient.

I needed Cranney to replace a 30 year old air conditioning unit that had a significant leak in it. They were about $800 lower than one estimate I received last year to replace it. They were a few other companies I called for an estimate too and and most of those couldn't even come look at my unit to give me an estimate for at least 3 weeks (which is understandable because of the season, so I don't blame them). The entire process with Cranney took just under two weeks for them to come out and look at the unit, help me with the financing of it, and then for them to come replace it. You should obviously always get a few estimates from companies, but make sure you give Cranney a call. They were incredibly professional, quick to set up an appointment, on time, and they didn't try to sell me a unit I didn't need.

While on a routine Tune up for my air-conditioning unit. The serviceman had the unit apart while cleaning it and they suggested that I replace the capacitor because it had a little rust on its top. I later found the capacitor cost was $18 and they charge me 261.70 for The capacitor and additional 119 for the tune up. I'm an 84 year Old widow. I just can't believe how much they took advantage of me , they should be ashamed of themselves.

I was so pleased with the very professional and expert service I received from Mike and his co-worker with fixing our AC problem. They came on time and were very diligent with all the work they did and even cleaned up after they finished. I have already recommended them to my neighbors.
The office staff was also very helpful and pleasant to work with.

I called Cranney for an inspection of my electrical panel and generator transfer switch and was greeted on the phone by the pleasant and professional Bianca. The service appointment was scheduled just four days out with a window time frame between 8-9 am and sure enough Cranney was at my door at 8:20 am. The electrician, Scott Starrak, knew his job quite well, answered my questions, troubleshooted and completed the job, wore a mask at all times, and was exceptionally clean. Scott finished off the job by double checking my generator's performance, making sure all circuits were accurate.................a job well done by Cranney Home Service!!!

Scheduling was a big problem. Cranney expected to work week days on a big project, but would only send the plumber for half-days, and over half of the appointments they re-scheduled. They even pulled the plumber away from my site for other projects multiple times. This made it very difficult for me, as I was taking time off to make the house available for work.

The quality of work was pretty good, however a number of details were missed. My ceiling would be taller if the vents were routed differently but they ended up dictating the height. I liked and trusted the plumber they would send, but I think management stretches them way too thin.

They vented the tub, toilet, and sink and installed an on-demand water heater for about 10k. Overall I think this value was average at best.

No problems with the service, just the price. $1100 for an hours work to snake a toilet. Should have gone with Rotorooter.

Jimmy ( the Lead Installer ) and Mitchell did a wonderful job installing the High end Mitsubishi Air-conditioning / Heating System. They both worked diligently and meticulously and completed the job ahead of schedule. Excellent workmanship !!

I could not be happier with my gas burner service this morning. Scheduling was a breeze. Frank was early (imagine... EARLY) for the appointment. He spent the time I needed to discuss the heating system, his process of servicing the burner, and the challenges we face with an aging machine. There were NO pushy sales tactics, but offered a colleague's services for a new furnace consultation. He genuinely appeared appreciative of the business and thanked me for chosing Cranney Companies. After having some "not-so-good" experiences with other companies in the area, Frank and Cranney Companies have restored my faith in local service businesses who put the customer first. The leadership at Cranney should be proud of their product, and the people, like Frank, who are on the road representing it.

2 technicians came in, Mike and Andrew for my AC system checks. They did explain well about what did they check and what needs to be addressed and all. Very helpful!

We had a project in our basement to install a sewer back valve. Keith was our initial contact and we were very impressed with his professionalism, his clear communication, and his prompt response to our very many questions. From the first day of dealing with an "explosive" sewer back-up, he took it upon himself to contact the city to get to the bottom of the problem. Next followed many return visits (with helpers such as John) to complete the assessment of what needed to be done and the actual coordination of the entire project. In all these, we can say that in Keith we found an honest, transparent (about the cost and scope of work) professional, and prompt person to deal with and we look forward to working with him again. The plumbing part of this project was professionally handled by Frank and his helper Dan. Frank came up with alternative ways of completing some of the work which in the end saved us a lot in terms of time and money. Frank was very thorough in his work, ensured that we were satisfied at every stage of the work and his completed work was professional and very well done. The whole team {including the subcontractors whom Keith and Joe (manager) carefully vetted prior to the start of the project} treated our home with respect and very importantly, cleaned up after themselves. Courtney responded to all our questions regarding paperwork promptly and kept the communication going to keep us updated of what to expect. The entire team has left us very impressed with the quality of work done, clarity in communication, cost, how they treated our home and their promptness. We look forward to continued business with Cranney Home Services.

Great company to work with for heating and Plumbing needs.

Justin arrived on time....hughly unusual! He first went to our basement and replaced cast iron pipes. He then went to our first floor apartment and replaced the trap under the kitchen sink and a basket strainer. He is neat, leaves no mess, is personable and easy going. His handiwork is excellent and he is quick at what he does, but always checks to be sure everything is perfect. We hope Justin is sent to take care of all our plumbing needs. We highly recommend Cranney!

Cranney just cancelled on me for the second time in 2 weeks for a service call on my heater.
As they wont commit to a scheduled time for the day of the service, I had to work from home when I should be in the office.
Additionally, I had a third appointment two months ago for a quote on an AC unit that was scheduled for a specific time but their rep called me an hour before the appt. and said he was running 3 hours late.
Even for the services industry which is notoriously bad, I have never seen such horrendously bad customer service and arrogance.
Their time is clearly much more important than their customers.
I have demanded a refund of the service plan that I subscribed to and recommend to others to not waste their time with this horribly run company

Karl was very professional and very knowledgeable. We did not use the service but the information he gave us was very valuable. I would definitely give Cranny a call if I have any issues with my HVAC in the future. Highly recommend them.

I was extremely impressed with Dave Delaurier's and Frank Tombarello's workmanship, professionalism and easy-going manner. They showed up on time and completed the job, the entire job, in the two-day period they said it would take. I was most pleased with the attention to detail - such as neatly securing all hoses and wires as thoroughly as if they were working in their own house. Even though the house was under complete reconstruction with plaster dust and sawdust everywhere, they took care to wipe up their footprints (as well as Tag's, our friends and mine). I was a few minutes late in returning to the house at the end of the job, but Dave and Frank waited so that I could be given a tour of all the components of the new heating system. Very interesting, and now I know where all the switches, filters, gas and water valves are - something completely new to me.
Bottom line: Dave Delaurier and Frank Tombarello clearly take pride in their work and it shows.

The guys were great and very thorough. They went through every detail and explained what they were doing and why. I will definitely be using Cranney again.

I called Cranney because they handle plumbing issues and my kitchen faucet stopped running water. It was an easy fix, but The Cranney Tech was able to fix it immediately. He was fast and very nice. Cranney is a great company to handle so many house problems!

Their team was great. Took the time to explain my situation and provide thoughtful and direct suggestions.

Scam artists. Had them come inspect my furnace. They said a switch was close to failing and could go at any time. When it goes my blower won't turn on or off. Generously offered to replace it for 600 dollars.

I declined.

They left and the heat was still going. Hours later heat was off but blower was Stuck on. Curious.

Checked the switch they said would fail soon. They had turned it to manual, it was never going to shut off. Turned it back to auto and all was normal.

Conclusion: they are scam artists. Consumer beware.

Frank N was FANTASTIC!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!! He came over within a matter of minutes to fix my Kitchen sink that was clogged. He was professional, polite and neat!! He without me having to ask put on shoe covers and kept my home and everything under my sink neat and orderly. I was IMPRESSED!!! Thank you Frank N!!!!

Had a plumbing inspection/visit. While our systems are currently in good shape, I got some good ideas and feedback. Visit was appropriate in length and the technician was knowledgeable and helpful. Overall a good experience.

Scott was our electrician today. He was very professional punctual and courteous. Half of our homes power went out Friday night and Scott arrived right on time Saturday morning to diagnose the problem. Part of the issue turned out to be a problem with the service coming from the towns meter
Scott took the initiative to contact the municipal electric department and notify them of their problem. His swift action resulted in the town coming out immediately and fixing the problem in a few short hours. We are so grateful for his hard work and assistance above and beyond to get our homes electric system heat and lights fuily repaired in short order. Thank you very much for Scotts services and we would definitely recommend Cranney to our friends and family in the future.

Texhhnician was great. Did what needed done and happily put up with our 5 year old and dog following him everywhere and keeping up a running commentary. I ve always been happy with the service we ve gotten from Cranny. From the installer of the AC to yearly maintenance and any issues.

Awsome clean they clean every machine as soon as you leave they are on top of there game with this covid take your temperature on arrival and very attentive to your needs while on premises i really missed this place feels good to be able to have some normalization i love this casino.

We contact Cranney, because our hot water tank was leaking and not working. Nick came out the same day, he was very nice and explained our options. We needed a specific size tank because our basement is low. So he informed us that he will order our tank and that Frank and a partner would be here the next day at 8am. Frank and his partner showed up on time, introduce themselves also followed COVID guidelines by wearing masks. and staying 6 ft away from others in the home. They were fast, efficient and thorough. In & out in less than 3 hours. Great Job!!!! We have Hot water now! Highly recommended!

Excellent , solved baseboard heating problem quickly. I even signed up for the Silver Plan for the year to cover heating, plumbing, and electrical problems for my home.

Once again I called Cranney for home plumbing and heating service, and once again they came promptly, fixed my concerns, explained what they did, and answered my questions. All at a reasonable price. The best!!!!

Excellent response time. Frank was very informative and helpful. He promptly diagnosed the problem, gave me my options, and did not try to up-sell me. He also inspected my boiler and made a minor repair.

What a great job Anthony and Sam did. They were so polite and helpful and worked diligently to get the job done. Always conscious of my needs and offering helpful suggestions. Knowledge and experience equals confidence.

We woke up on the first morning our old AC unit worked hard during the night to remove the humidity in the air. We were shocked to find a flooded floor in the room where the unit forced cold air into the ducts. We called Cranney and on the next day dispatched Jason who diagnosed the problem as well giving the unit a complete diagnostic.

Jason explained the problem, the diagnostics and the economy of enrolling
in their maintenance plan, which we did. He was very polite and respectful and we would not hesitate to have him in again.

My last year installed AC has some issues this August. Not cooling enough and big noise for a long time use. I called Cranney, the people on the call is responsive and the technician they sent are professional. I want give my thanks to Matt D, who spent all day from 9AM to 6PM to help me got all issues fixed. Without cost since the system under warranty. The AC is working even better. Incredible service and experience.

If 600 dollars sounds like a good price to connect up a replacement gas dryer, you'll be happy with Cranney. I asked for a ball park figure when I made the appointment to get some idea but was told "technician will quote when he gets to your house". When the technician quoted 600, I declined as that is a ridiculous price for 40 mins work. I made a complaint and was told a manager would get back to me. I heard nothing since. First and last experience with this crew. Found someone else to do the same work for $200. They have good reviews from others, but the pricing is outrageous.
Thanks for wasting my time Cranney after taking a half day for this. Lesson learnt.

I bought my house 5 years ago and I have been using them since. I have them service my HVAC every year and I had them do some plumbing work and every time I was happy with the work.

Nick and Frank provided excellent service replacing my water heater. I was incredibly nervous about a mess because I have recently remodeled my basement and there is now a light carpet. Frank and Nick were professional, respectful of my property, completed the job in a timely manner, and in the end it looked as if no one had ever been there. I am consistently impressed with the level of service Cranney technician's provide.

Anthony was excellent, polite, and fixed me up entirely. I was so pleased with him, I began a conversation, and learned he d been out till 2am still on a job. So my comment is t o not take on more than these guys can handle! I felt terrible about how tired he was, and wished he had more of a manageable job load. Bravo to Anthony!

The plumber Ray who completed the plumbing repair at our house was quick, professional, and courteous.

Anthony completed two related services at our house recently related to our main drain and was polite, clear about why repairs needed to happen, and took care to pack up materials carefully and clean area where work was done.

Kathleen was great. She is knowledgeable, communicates well and gave me options on the longevity of my 14 year old unit.

Technician arrived on time and everything went smoothly. He installed and tested my beautiful Fisher and Paykel drawer dishwasher. Will definitely use Cranney Home Services again.

Cranney replaced my HVAC system earlier this summer. We worked with Shawn, who was not only responsive and professional, but so accommodating and available. He not only worked to give us multiple options and the best price possible, but they were able to schedule the installation only 2 weeks later where other companies we contacted were not available until October. Between the timing, the cost and the financing option, Cranney was the obvious answer.

I use cranny all the time for for pretty much everything. Today they came out and did a flush of our hot water heater. Anthony is an amazing person and very knowledgeable ..i very much enjoyed talking to him and all of his advice was helpful. I look forward to doing business again. Thanks again , Anthony.

I am so happy with Cranney Home Services and the new furnace they installed. The process went extremely smoothly and the technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. It took two days for the installation and I was not going to have heat for one night but they left me with heaters to keep me warm. The technicians were friendly and informative and followed all the safety protocols to keep us safe during this scary time.
When the job was done, they made sure I understood my system and they left the space clean, you would have never known they were here.

Max and Dreb installed our new furnace and central air conditioning units, They were punctual, professional and efficient during the installation process. Max answered all of my questions before, during and after each phase of the process. I would highly recommend Max and Dreb to anyone looklng to have a new heating or air conditioning unit installed.

Alex did a fantastic job replacing my dim kitchen lighting. I had no idea what I needed but his advice was awesome and I was thoroughly satisfied with his approach and work.

On the same day, Ray installed 2 new faucets, did a fabulous job. He also identified a potential problem with one of the pipes, gave me estimate and promptly fixed it. i was thorough satisfied - again!

As usual, all work was done expediently, neatly, and both Alex & Ray were personable and very easy to work with. So far I have been very satisfied with Cranney services.

The work was fun, and the jobs kept me busy. But i was let go just one week after getting hired. i am not gonna tell people this job is good to work in. Some would say it's toxic. The employees constantly talk about how much they hate working there, and a couple employees were looking for new jobs. This is my experience with Cranney. It's like a family run company, but without the family like respect. I will not be using this company on my resume. :/

They prioritize sales over customer care. I am a technician who specializes in repair. But because of that, they refused to let me do mechanical work. INSTEAD they made me do installation only. A JOB i worked for 2 years and had nothing but hate towards. The technicians go out and try pushing sales on customers. Sing up and you dont pay for dispatch fees. BUT you still paid for servicing fees. THOSE ARE THE SAME THING! But service fees are usually 126-158 dollars depending on the call. They are trained to act like you're getting a deal. INSTEAD they are just draining your bank account. You call for a service, and they suggest their plumbers and electricians come in and do repair work. All they care about is customer income. From the outside, it looks like a great job, but once you work for them... you quickly realize that it's just a money hungry company. I will never do business with them, i will never suggest anyone work for them... and i will NEVER talk to anyone from there again. I made a mistake with this job... i learned my lesson.

Clog in bathroom sink and bathtub drains were cleared quickly and efficiently. Chris and Andrew knew exactly what to do to remedy situations fast and left the work area in mint condition. Chris and Andrew were outstanding!
