He helped to help make our heating work better by explaining the forced hot air and what things (like carpet and curtains) can prevent it from being effective. Cranney Home Services is one of the most professional contracting services that I have dealt with in my lifetime (I m 70). Their professionalism extends from the dispatchers to their technicians. Matt DesRoches diagnosed the cause of the issue I was experiencing in no time flat. He exhibited a rare combination of friendly down to earth behavior with just the right amount of professionalism. The issue was fixed in a timely manner. I will recommend these folks without hesitation.

Had my air conditioning system serviced today by Cranney Home Services and they did a great job. Justin ( The Technician) was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

Waste pipes had deteriorated in two sites. One under the basement cement floor, the other a pipe leading to the outside drain. Jessica Cranney took the lead to arrange for both her plumbers and a subcontractor to excavate, remove pipes, replace pipes, and execute all the work. Despite an unforeseen snag in the exterior pipe being removed, she held true to the contract and there was no added expense for the extra time this required. She had a plumber return to adjust the height of an required interior clean out at no extra cost. He was pleasant in our interaction and did a good job of adjusting the protruding valve. It was an expensive, necessary upgrade and this company did an excellent job. Jessica gave a clear explanation of the work to be done and provided updates. I would use this company again without hesitation.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. The work was done efficiently. I also like the effortless process of booking the service. No leaving a message and eating to hear back, rather you talk to a person and they make an appointment right then.

FRANK T is an excellent example of a service technician and I can only attempt to present this highly professional wonderful guy.
Frank came to our front door with his heavy tools bag in chilling cold ..He was. vibrant and smiling even under these harsh weather conditions.

After explaining his company's policies and regulations,he proceeded to assess the task of fixing multiple leaking plate pipes in a room heavily soaked with water . On testing the pipes , he discovered that about 50% of the pipes were retaining solid ice without rupturing .The master plumber thawed and removed the ice in tact before cleaning up..

I was very pleased with Cranney Home Services in the installation of a new central air conditioner and gas furnace, especially Max and crew. They were very prompt and professional. I will definitely use their services in the future.

Top class service and knowledge - Matt and his team came out immediately and literally saved us $10k on a project that another company was unable to complete. We immediately signed up to their program and are very happy to have done so.

I am very pleased with the service I received and very thankful for their job. Spending a whole night with no heat in the freezing cold and having little kids was not fun but thanks to Cranney that got fixed in a matter of minutes. Difinetely would recommend to anyone.

I called in the morning, because our furnace blower motor had failed the previous evening. Cranney sent a technician out within two hours of my initial call. The technician; Jayson was clear, courteous, efficient and diligent in locating and retrieving the replacement parts, as well as completing the required repairs. This is called good service... and it s much appreciated. Thank you Jayson!

Frank came to check out a leaky shower situation at my house. I had had 3 previous plumbers check it out in the past, but none had properly found the cause of the problem. Today, Frank and his partner listened to the background I told them, did a thorough assessment, and were able to open up a panel in another room to show me where the water is leaking. They were friendly and courteous, easy to work with, and gave me good advice about what will be needed to repair it. I would specifically ask for them again for any plumbing problems in the future!

We ve been a customer of Cranney for years. They always come through when you need them! Plumbing, HVAC, electric, whatever. Their team is knowledgeable, skilled, professional and friendly.They come in teams of 2 so there s an apprentice in training with the specialist. Also, they re very neat. They put booties on before coming into the house. You can t beat that in this New England weather! We re thrilled with this service!

Just had gas furnace serviced. Service tech was knowledgeable, thorough, professional, personable...everything you would hope to have in a service tech. A really positive experience. All service techs in any business should be this professional and competent.

Don t use!!! They were completely unprofessional, overpriced and did nothing more than my husband! They were very quick to charge me and even quicker leaving!!! The problem was not resolved

I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Cranney Home Servicers.
Here is what happened:
The representative came in but "forgot" his bookwork. After looking around at the house, seeing a well kept and manicured home, inside and out, he went back to get his paperwork. The job was to remove two ceiling fans and replace them with two newer one that I had purchased. Before giving me an estimate for the job, he attempted to get me to sign up for annual service, at a price, which would give me 15% off the installation job. I was not interested. He then told me the price for the installation. I felt that the price was at least twice ;what I felt would be on the high side. "Let me go talk to the office and see what I could do. " When he came back, price was dropped by over $100.00 if I would sign up for their annual service. I declined.
It is too bad because I had seen their vehicles around numerous places and thought that they would be someone who would treat me fairly in as much that they took great care to maintain a nicely kept fleet of trucks. I need other electrical work, but will not be calling Cranney,

Ironically, I have been asked by Cranney via email to provide feedback. So, I'll provide the short version of our experience: We've had a malfunctioning heat pump that we are using for AC and heat since 8/1/18. $1800 worth of repairs and countless phonecalls and service visits later, the problem is still undiagnosed (not to mention solved as of 10/15/18). The fact that the system is still not working properly after 2 and 1/2 months is frustrating. The fact that there is no sense of urgency or obvious desire to solve the problem is outraging. The company's 100% satisfaction guarantee states that "if you are not fully satisfied, let us know, and we'll make it right or you don't pay!" At this point it's not right and we paid $1800.

In early November 2020 I had a difficult time trying to find an electrician to hook up an electrical connection on my furnace to an electric generator. This would enable my family to have heat if the power went out.
Three different electricians referred to me by friends said that they could not do the job because they were too busy, or they did not think it could be done. Therefore, I contacted Cranney Home Services on their website and they promptly called me back and scheduled an appointment.
The electrician, Alex Capodilupo, came to the house on time and ready to solve this challenge and work. He researched the problem, found a solution and installed the necessary connection on two follow up visits.
The cost was reasonable.
This technician was professional, courteous, and smart.
The customer service staff was also friendly and followed up very well.
We signed up for their service plan which is a good value for the money and we already have Cranney Home Services going to work a small plumbing job.

Kathleen and Violet were super. They noticed that a capacitor in the AC unit was nearing its end and replaced it without any problems. Carney Home Services should be very proud of these two young ladies.

Called New Year s Day after waking up to water in our basement. Got a live customer service rep on the 4th ring and a call back from the tech within 10 min. We agreed the work could wait a day. Cranney called me 7am, service guys showed 11am. Very professional and courteous and knowledgeable. Explained quote and started work immediately. They completed their work by suppertime. Superb job. Great guys. Thank You !!!

came in to work on an issue with the hottub. spent $400 to replace a ground fault interrupter and it didn't fix the problem (ours was working perfectly)...afterwards, said they couldn't take back the new interrupter and then mentioned that they weren't able to work on hot tubs at all. don't know why they didn't say that in the first place and am unsure how you can get away with randomly replacing things that aren't broken. isn't that what diagnostics are for? seems like a scam.

The service provided by Reilyn was a very professional, thorough and informative. He was very courteous and looked at every plumbing outlet, took pictures and explained the situation and the issue in each case. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed. He and Cranney Home Services are doing a fantastic job.

I had a Wall Mounted Heating and Cooling Unit start leaking last night. I called numerous service companies that weren't able to come out for another week. Luckily found Cranney who was an authorized service contractor for the unit. They were able to make it out and complete the service the same day. They were professional and efficient throughout and keeping me informed of the process and routine maintenance I should be doing on the unit to keep it running at peak performance. I would highly recommend Cranney going forward.

Employees were professional, very knowledgeable, and courteous. Frank and Andrew worked diligently to resolve a complex issue with one of the drains in this 102 year old home. They were patient, good humored, and committed to solving the problem. My drain now empties quicker than it ever did. I would like to add that they were very conscientious, and left the kitchen and basement work areas clean. They also wore disposable shoe coverings each time they entered my home. I highly recommend Frank and Andrew at Cranney Home Services.

Great Company! First of all, the answering service was courteous and took the time to truly understand the issue so they could send the best person for the job. They dispatched a Master Plumber in less than an hour and gave me all the information I needed before hand. After having had 7 different licenced plumbers try to resolve this issue it was an incredible relief to have Master Plumber Frank Tumbarello not only identify the issue in less than 10 minutes but also fix the problem right away! He was extremely professional and efficient. He explained everything clearly and was very neat and clean. Absolutely a 5 star service! Will most definitely rely on them for servicing my system!

Plumber,Jared arri. on time in A.M. He had friendly manner, shook my hand..greeted, did same as he departed. Covered his shoes. He checked 2 bathrm. sinks, a tub, a walk-in shower area; also 2 toilets, and 1 kitch. sink. Checked elec. water heater. No issues, w/ 2 exceptions: lav.sink faucet has slight drip..I turn it to left, stops. Similarly, Kitch.faucet has sm. leak, if I turn 1 handle to left side-stops. Could replace the latter 2 faucets. ? He asked if I'd like him write a quote for these now..or send me email--I chose email. Within few min. after he left, I rec'd. Quote on faucet replacements either use Cust. supplied faucet, w/2 yr. warranty on labor, or Cranney supplied faucets...prices higher for latter. I'll re-visit issue at later time, thanks. He answered a few my general plumbing Q.'s..i.e. where shut-off valves R located..very knowlegeable--professional Jared is. He used an Ipad, -- cy this visit, eval. all plumbing in condo, check-list-w/ recommendations. I signed,dtd. have my cy. Thanks.

The young fellow that took care of my problem today was very knowledgeable and helpful and when he was done I felt so much safer.

Cranney Home Services did a great job. They spent a great deal of time meticulously checking out my heating units and water and electrical units also. They wrote up the results of their work, specifically listing everything they did and gave specific details about what they found and the significance of everything they tested. I am very pleased that they were recommended to me by knowledgeable friends. I have now recommend ed them to friends and neighbors.

Today we had a yearly check up on our heating and air conditioning units, by Kathleen. She was very prompt with the appointment and very thorough. She explained the work she did and made welcomed suggestions. Another great job by Cranney Home Services!

The tech person, Kathleen, was very efficient and patiently explained the work needed on my Magic Pak AC unit. She appeared to be highly knowledgeable and improved the temperature of cooling air by 10%, from a starting temp of 50 degrees to a final value of 45 degrees after cleaning the unit thoroughly. Highly recommend this company.

Our technician, Scott was here for an electrical wellness check. He was extremely professional, courteous and efficient and informative.

This is the second time Cranney Homes Services has come to my rescue in the dead of winter!! Both times we experienced a dead furnace at our rental prpperty. Each time they came right away, assessed the situation and quickly installed new furnaces.
The workers are all very professional and friendly. Answered all of our questions, and if they didn't know the answer right then, they said so and said that they would check into it and get us an answer.

We have also used CHS for regular maintenance. Again always professional, show up when they say they will. They get the job done! Can't ask for more than that!
We will continue to use them, and recommend them.

They texted me a photo of the lead electrician before he arrived, like Uber. That's very comforting. Anthony was our electrician, and Orlando was his assistant. They were both very polite, and worked very cleanly, safely, and efficiently. They even removed the boxes and our old light fixture. Very impressive especially considering that we didn't buy the fixture from them. I would recommend them anytime.
The Craney marketing system is a wonder to behold. This is not unique among the larger service companies. I'm in a building with insane insurance requirements. Craney was able to supply them correctly and quickly.
Total cost of the job was $668 for 1.5 hours for two people, or 3 man-hours, or $222 an hour. Yes, they do not work by the hour, they work by set flat prices that you know in advance before they start. So that's not a complaint, just an observation.
To explain my rating: Five stars for quality, service, safety, professionalism, etc. Three stars for cost. That leaves me with four stars on average.

Cranney did all of the plumbing for our basement project. It was complicated work, and they did an excellent job. Nick was the lead plumber, and he and his helpers Ray and Peter were very professional and thorough in their work. They consulted with us to make sure they were doing everything the way we wanted it, and offered good advice where needed. Cranney's price was a bit higher than we expected, but they came through consistently and we are confident that the work was done well.

Excellent work. Removed old faucet and installed new one in 35 minutes. Very professional and polite.

Cranney Home Services is terrific. I moved here over a year ago. My heat went out and they came over straight away and fixed it. I ended up purchasing the service plan, whereby they analyze your a/c, heat, plumbing,electric. It is a good thing b/c they found some issues. Today, I had a treadmill installed. The motor power was too high for the electrical system. Cranney came over and fixed it straight away. I am very happy to have this service as I can really count on them. Additionally, the service folks are consistently very professional and courteous.

The Cranney guys were terrific. Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was a daylong job putting in the new furnace and I was given two radiator heaters to stay warm while the heat was off. I was very impressed by the quickness of their response to my call. When the repair team determined that a new boiler was the best option, they sent their sales person immediately and scheduled next day service. I m very pleased with everything this company does and very satisfied with the service plan.

The Cranney team of two service personnel were very courteous and responded to all the questions I had on the service plan visit to review the AC system. Saw corrosion at the top of the water heater and suggested possible replacement

Cranney's service was all that could be expected. The plumbers were efficient, careful and polite. The estimated time was two hours and was done in just over an hour.
I'm having them come back next week for another, more complex plumbing job. (I have a house built in 1710. Plumbing is a nightmare).

When working with this company they came to quote the services ahead of time and when the appointment was set up for services to be delivered they altered the original quote astronomically. We provided proof of the original quote from their company and they would not work with us. Very disappointing service all around.

I own a condo in South Boston/Savin Hill. We needed a.c. service.After hiring 2 other companies who couldn't figure it out, I called Cranney Home Services. I was actually able to get a next-day apt. to come check it out.Our service tech was Cathy,and she was awesome.She was punctual,pleasant,patient,professional.and incredibley knowledgable about the system. She was able to quickly assess/diagnose and solve the problem in no time at all.The price was very reasonable,and the service was outstanding. I will never call anyone else in the future. Too many people promise quality work,but very few can actually deliver.Like to give credit when/where its due..if all the techs at C.H.S. are as qualified and dedicated as Cathy,this company will always be successful.More than anything, its very refreshing to know that there are still some people who really do take pride in their work!! Nick and his colleague Pete provided impeccable emergency service on the Saturday of Easter weekend. I noticed a leak along a pipe in my basement at 10:00 am -- by noon, they were on site and diligently worked to identify the source and propose a cost-effective solution. I appreciated the quick response, transparent pricing, and neat and conscientious workmanship.

Jimmy came and he knows what to do. Initially he thought it is more kind of rework and time consuming. But he completed job in little time. And advised on two other different topics. He is knowledgeable and makes client happy with his work.

Requested an annual tune up on the heating. Mike called in advance to confirm the time. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable in what he does. He kept the area clean and was diligent in keeping his shoes covered when he entered the house multiple times. Very happy with the service.

Justin arrived within the schedule time period. He reviewed what we wanted to be installed. Upon checking out the job, he found a pipe under the sink that was pretty rusty and needed to be replaced in addition to the installation of our dishwasher and garbage disposal.
An estimate was presented and it was approved. We are pleased with the job and his professional manner. The sprayer hose needed to be replaced at the same time but I was able to take care of that part.
When we need a plumber again, we will certainly call Justin at Cranney.

We recently had Cranney put air conditioning on our second floor and install a house generator as well. Everyone that came through the house was very professional, polite, did their job and cleaned up after themselves. If you ran into any issues, they were quickly resolved and taken care of promptly. We will use them again without hesitation!

Nick arrived on time, introduced himself, and listened to everything I had to say about my issue with water pressure and sediment. He inspected the water heater and didn t try to over sell me on the repair. He repaired the issue in a timely manner, and explained in detail what he found. The problem was fixed and the water pressure was back. He gave me suggestions for the future, which was very much appreciated. I found him to be very professional and willing to help solve my issues at the most cost effective way. I would highly recommend, and will use them for all my needs in the future. He went above and beyond.

Can t recommend Craney enough, they have been excellent every time we ve used them.

Once the contract got signed, all Cranney crew members arrived on time to install new gas-fired boiler and the hot water tank. They were very courteous, and knowledgeable - knowing their portion of work in depth, great team work was on the ground. Entire work was carried out seamlessly, which was assigned to be competed in two days, means two days. It was 10:00 PM. I was amazed to see the hard work they put up together to define the customer satisifbaction, which I can t expressed in words. And, at the time of firing the boiler, a technical glitch was found, and team solved it quite efficiently showing their skills and expertise in technical side too!!

Our Cranney HVAC+furnace experience was great all the way from the quoting through installation. Shaun was super, walking me through the entire process and answering my many questions. The setup crew was very professional and efficient, and they left our home as clean as they found it. The new system works great.

BEWARE! Huge SCAM being run by these un-professionals. They'll tell you they have to come out to give you a price then quote you a "standard" rate they could've given all along, only the PRICE WILL BE AS MUCH AS TEN TIMES as you should be paying. I guess they figure they can trap enough people by the fact they are there and there isn't time to shop. Even if only 1 in 5 agrees they win. And their "Discount" program? Just another scam to trap you into sticking with their unethical price gouging. Saving 15% of something marked up over 900% times normal price is NOT A SAVINGS. Can't wait until the AG shuts this practice down or they get hammered by a class action lawsuit - or both. I can't imagine how many "little old ladies" these dirtballs are ripping off! STAY FAR AWAY!

Do not use this service for residential use. They were scheduled originally to show up in the morning and never showed and never called to say the plumber could not make it. Just basic plumbing services needed here. There is no value in not making appointments when they said they were going to show up. So my review is based on the fact that they promised a morning call to residential and they gave me an 8 hour window to show up when it was schedule. Either the respesentative scheduling made a mistake or the plumber scheduled made a mistake but I will never request any services from this company again. Thanks.
