Hotel was very nice, service and rooms were great. We came with 20 other couples for a local event and picked the hotel based on proximity and the fact the hotel had an indoor heated pool and whirlpool. The whirlpool was COLD. The management said they would fix it and it never even got close to usable. It was very disappointing since it was November and a planned part of our night and we paid for the service and we we were unable.

I spent a week at Courtyard Downtown Fredericksburg in the winter. The hotel is beautiful, spacious, and clean. The staffs are friendly and attentive. One of the front desk staff, Becca, was very nice and helpful. This hotel is right in the historic downtown and is within walking distance or a short drive to restaurants and shops. The town of Fredericksburg by itself is 5 stars, because it's filled with nice and friendly folks. I truly enjoyed my experience and will definitely book this hotel again.

It has simply the best location in the city of Fredericksburg. You could walk to many historic places and tons of great restaurants, bars, antique shops, and cafes. The hotel unfortunately is pretty small but it is clean and quaint.

Your standard Courtyard by Marriott set apart by f...

Your standard Courtyard by Marriott set apart by friendly staff and a full bar, but paper thin walls could mar an otherwise perfect stay.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding and was pleasantly surprised at this Courtyard (I'm a veteran road warrior and swear by Marriott's properties, though Courtyards are not my first choice). Valet parking, well stocked and well priced full bar in the lobby, plus friendly and inviting staff made arrival a breeze.

The room was nothing spectacular and got the job done, overlooking cute and historic downtown Fredericksburg. TV was a bit smallish and if I was staying longer, it would've made watching anything difficult. Bath water took a really long time to get hot, but I'm sure it had more to do with it being a packed hotel than anything else.

We were woken up the next day by a neighbor next door playing his TV way too loud for a Sunday morning. Again, we weren't staying long enough to complain, but we were able to hear everything happening on the television.

If I happen to be in Fredericksburg again, I'd very much stay here. Choices for other lodgin gmight be slim, but this isn't a bad first option.

The checkin process was easy. I think it was Mark who checked us in. He was very helpful and really nice. Breakfast was so good and service was spectacular. Everyone was warm and friendly. Our room was clean. The hotel itself is in a great location. If we ever have occasion to come back to the area we definitely will stay again. It really was one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

Comfortable, perfect location, great staff! This Courtyard by Marriott is a wonderful choice if you ve visiting Fredericksburg excellent representation of the Marriott brand. The hotel is easy to find at its prominent location on the corner of Charlotte Street and Caroline Street in the Fredericksburg Historic District. The building sits in a perfect location for strolling around the shops and restaurants of the beautiful downtown area. We found plenty of in-hotel and nearby options for eating and drinking all meals including a good selection of breakfast options within easy walking. The reception staff were quick, professional, and friendly. The common areas were typical for an updated Marriott Courtyard and were immaculate. The room was very clean and well-appointed with the updated furnishings of the brand. The elevators are a bit slow and there was a little road and music noise for our weekend visit (we ran the fan to white-out the noise when sleeping). The toiletries are only standard. The rate was very good. Overall, I rate Courtyard by Marriott Fredericksburg Historic District as a great value for lodging when visiting the area for a combination of excellent staff, upgraded and well-maintained facilities, perfect location, and great rate. Highly recommended.

We were passing through Fredericksburg and stopped for a coffee. The lobby was comfy and the tables had some privacy with televisions if you wanted to watch your own news station. The staff was polite, restrooms clean.

The breakfast is amazing. I highly recommend the lemon blueberry pancakes. Most of the service was superb but I gave 4 stars for 2 things.
1. I made online reservations and in the notes I requested that our two rooms be next door or across the hall from each other. When we got there to check in, I asked about the location of our rooms and, the manager told me that if I had wanted rooms that close I would need to have requested it when I made my reservation... when I told him I did he said he didn't see that. But he was very busy with training what I think was a me employee. He did manage to get us on the same floor.

2. My guests in my other room were woken up at 8:30 by room service banging on the door. They were given a note saying it was time to check out now. Our check out was nit untill 11. When brought to management's attention they assured us they had no idea why that would happen and it was not policy. They said they would definitely look into it. But it was extrememly frustrating to be woken up on a rare vacation/ day off.

A bit disappointed by our stay! The positives: it was plenty clean and super convenient to downtown, but it kinda ends there... Negatives: we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. The room we were given has a window overlooking the bar downstairs. Not exactly a nice view. Then, Saturday night, the bar was super busy (I think some sort of event?) And crazy loud! And we were on the FOURTH floor (the bar is on the first)!!! Also, we stayed mid January. I understand the normal climate is cold, but it happened to be in the 70s whole we were there. Apparently the a/c was turned off. I couldn't get the room below 70. Lastly, an odd thing to complain about, but there was no lotion.

Room is modern and delightful. The tub has a deep ledge off the back, which is useful to hold toiletries or wine glasses. Staff has all been friendly and remembers their guests. Professional, clean hotel making business trips that much more pleasant.

Have stayed here numerous times, simply for convenience. The place is outdated, does not ever feel clean, the walls are paper thin, so it's always noisy. You don't even get the obligatory tiny bottle of lotion in your bathroom, just a quarter ounce of shampoo and conditioner. Really really don't love the place, but continue going here because it's convenient.

Very convenient location. Parking could be a mess if downtown is crowded (it's street parking), but it was no problem during the week. The lobby and first floor is nice. Pool and gym looked clean. Breakfast was NOT complementary, which is a bummer. The room I was in was small but cozy. Walking distance to a lot of good food and drink. I'd recommend the hotel.

Perfect location in old town and across from the Visitor's Center. Spotless, nicely appointed, and friendly, professional service. Valet parking is offsite, but attractions, dining, and shopping are easily walkable, so you won't need your car. I will stay here again!

The quality of the hotel was excellent, which is what I've come to expect from Marriott, but the staff working there were OUTSTANDING!! They made my stay there better than I could have hoped for. I'll definitely stay here again whenever I'm in the Fredericksburg area.

How does this hotel get good ratings? Parking costs $12. No complimentary breakfast. My room was small but pricey. No special toiletries. So what!? It's downtown? Big deal! After 5-6pm on a weeknite, it appears to be an abandoned area.

I was going to stay & poke around in the morning, but if you aren't a Southerner, you'll find the civil war stuff self-agrandizing for the losing side, the streets full of soap & olive oil stores, and with a rather dumpy drive into the area, only to find a boggle of one-way streets all seemingly going the wrong way. And as for fine-dining; good luck downtown.

Hotel & old city both a big disappointment. Won't be back. If you need to stay in Fburg, stay outside the old area, eat elsewhere & keep going on your way soon. Very soon.

The location is awesome. It's in the downtown area and a walking distance from all the businesses. Lots of shopping, great restaurants, it's 2 blocks away from the visitor center, and close by the river. The hotel is awesome, good food, a great staff, and great amenities. The rooms are great and the beds are really comfortable. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi which is awesome! There is even a cafe with great coffee and a bar and restaurant.

Well we pretty much got no sleep due to our neighbors being loud. We called down to complain twice nothing changed! Worst night of sleep or I should say of no sleep I have ever had. Front desk obviously did nothing. Would not stay here again. The whole reason we stayed was to have a relaxing time and to SLEEP.

We had such a wonderful stay at this location! We love the Starbucks downstairs and all their breakfast offerings. This hotel has complimentary valet parking which is super helpful because there aren t many free spots to park downtown overnight. The other thing is it s right on Caroline street so bars and restaurants are in walking distance. Staff was nice all around especially Mitchell who retrieved our car each day. Thank you Fredericksburg Marriott, we ll be back :)

The hotel is located on in a prime location and the night staff is great. Unfortunately the a.c. in my room was broke. I didn't let them know that night but told them when checking out the next morning and woman who was just me out barely acknowledged my comment. Considering that is was already 80 degrees at am, it would have been nice to have gotten any kind of reaction.... her and the other gentleman were to busy talking... thank God the other 3 people I ran into while checking in where amazing.

Awful customer service. I was booked at the hotel weeks earlier and when I arrived they informed me that my room had been given to somebody else. They then tried to book me at a strip mall hotel in an undesirable part of town. They didn t care a lick.

Great location and very nice front desk staff. Rooms are quiet even when the hotel is full. Gym is small but functional. Only down side is parking which will cost you if you can't find street spots. Typical Courtyard Marriott so no free breakfast. Each room has a fridge.

The Courtyard in Historic Fredericksburg is a very nice hotel for the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. Friendly staff and a good bar. My main complaint was the parking situation, which requires you to park in the lot a few blocks away or find a spot on the street.

Enjoyed a quick overnight Valentine's get-away. Hotel was clean and appeared recently re-furbished. Double queen room was spacious. On-line price was reasonable and I was able to find free on-street parking right in front. Brunch buffet on Sunday was very good and only $15/person. Will go back.
