Great hotel under renovations but did not disrupt your stay. Room was clean and well decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A little bit out of downtown but steps from transit and a shot ride to Union Station.

This is our view from our room. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. Really enjoyed our short stay (one night). The price was good as well.
Was greeted each time by a person at the front. Very clean and cozy yet spacious. Washrooms were kept clean. Plenty of space for our event. Easy to get to, a literal 2 minute walk from College Station. Grounds are kept proper and clean, the trees even have lights. Staff was friendly when asking for information. Really nice place.
I had an accessible room so it was very accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Bell desk not on duty until 7am so it took a bit to check on bags early in the morning when our group left.
Stayed at the courtyard Marriot in downtown Toronto. As always, it was clean and well kept. The rate was really affordable too considering the date and location.
Me & my husband went to Toronto for a weekend getaway and stayed here. It was an amazing hotel to stay in. Everyone was really friendly. The rooms were very clean. It was nice and quiet where we stayed too. The service at the front desk and valet was quick and organized. There was something very minor wrong with our toilet so my husband called down to the front desk to let them know. They sent someone up within 15 minutes and had it fixed right away. By the end of the night, they had left us a written apology and $10 vouchers for Starbucks. It was a little gesture but one they didn't have to make. Great hotel all around - would definitely recommend it.
Amazing service for our business meeting. We had 35 people here yesterday for a workshop and they could not have been any better. Marie made sure that everything was set up perfectly. Lunch and snacks were great. Jeff was amazing in getting the projector working for us. A++
They throttle the internet with hopes you pay an extra five bucks. Just cheap and cheeky. No hot tub and cold very small pool. The toilet paper I think the bought from a local jail. The rest was nice.
This hotel is okay, located just a block away from College subway it is convenient for anyone visiting the city. it's proximity to the Gay Village, Yonge Street, The Eaton Centre and Toronto General Hospital, Mt Sinai and The Hospital for Sick Children make it a great place if you here out of town for someone sick or here to shop and have fun. The hotel itself is a little dated.
I was not impressed by their breakfast buffet. It's better to get the breakfast at the bistrot and I think it's even cheaper. Also, when you call an Uber make sure to send a message to the driver to tell you are in the hotel otherwise some drivers will wait on the main Street and not behind the hotel where the main entrance is located. I don't like the elevators in this hotel, as they are too small.
Great service at the hotel. Whenever i go to hotels i ask for extra pillows, and it took 2 minutes after i called the front desk from my room for the pillows to get delivered. The work out room and pool/hot tub are a must when visiting this hotel. If you are a fan of ordering uber eats like me, there is a Mcdonalds/Wendys/Burgerking 90m from the hotel.
Rooms are clean and updated... But... Got stuck in the elevator with 7 strangers. People began to panic and the front desk people were rude and untrained in this situation. We had to call 911 to get freed by the fire department.
The check in agent wasn't the friendliest person. He wasn't very welcoming or warm at all. The room itself was nice though and was exactly what I needed for the night. Location is also quite convenient.
Much improved. Staff were great, Thea at check in was attentive. Rooms are nicely redone, however an odd layout with the sink around the corner from the shower/toilet.
Location great. They manage the downtown noise well. The suites Marriott is better but this is good for the price. Rooms are typical Marriott quality which is good.
Service was pretty friendly. They had a mixup upon check-in where they couldn't find our booking (through Hotwire) and it took about 30 minutes from first conversation to resolution. We got some snacks while we waited, but nothing really to address the inconvenience. It turns out our names were inputted wrong on their backend from Hotwire to their system. Location is amazing! Rooms are big, clean, and spacious. Slight downsides: street level noise transfered into the room to wake us up prematurely. Blackout curtains don't fully close, so you'll get light in the morning. WiFi is pretty slow and you need to pay a premium for a faster connection. Hotel ameneties are fairly standard with the gym and pool. Overall a decent experience, but I don't see a major reason to draw me back over surrounding hotel chains.
My wife and i stayed here while passing through Toronto briefly on our honeymoon in February 2013 in room 613, a suit in the south tower with a view of... the north tower.
The Courtyard Toronto is in a fantastic location if it's your first time to Toronto, with the public transport and the shops of Yonge Street right at your doorstep. The hotel has business hotel amenities, fairly average rooms, and slow elevators, but we didn't experience the poor customer service or "tired" rooms that we expected from reading other reviews. We found the staff reserved but friendly and the hotel entirely adequate for our stay.
The room was nice, clean and cozy. Very close to restaurants and TTC Subway station. Staff was polite. The pictures of the outside and the pool area are much nicer than reality. Part of the pool was closed.. pool area looked like a body of water in a basement.
Omg you guys. I can't even. This place is amazing. I did a conference here. They were so diligent with the catering. And the food was phenomenal. I work in the area and it's pretty much a guarantee I'll be coming back for lunch most days
Valet only parking is pricey, though alternatives elsewhere at other owner lots. Makes it annoying for work expensing. Bathroom isn't in the same room as the sink and is actually around the corner. Not sure what new age design style that is, kind of awkward. Clean and friendly staff.
Had a great room with lots of space. My bed was really comfy - really important to me after a long day of meetings. My only caveat is the elevators - if your room is next door they can be quite noisy and they seemed to be remarkably slow. Check in staff was great and so were the bar staff.
Great hotel located right on Yonge Street. Close to Subway and downtown, walking distance to many restaurants and malls. Valet parking for 38$ a night is not cheap but to be expected. There was construction across the street that was loud on weekday mornings that maybe we should of been warned about.
Every since I ve stayed their I ve been getting spam calls daily saying thank you for staying at the marriott. Calls started 1 week after stay and still come in over a year later even if I block the numbers. They don t care about your privacy and will sell your info. Go read the latest article about them exposing 5.2 million customers personal info. Joke of an establishment will not be recommending to anyone. I will go out of my way to tell people how bad it was.
You really can't get any better than the location of this hotel. The rooms are super nice and I found the bed and pillows really comfortable. Parking is valet and the valet drivers are extremely nice, helpfull, and they go out of their way to help you out. The front desk staff were also really really friendly. My only downer was that we were on the second floor (as per our request) and it was very loud. As in street sounds...young street is a noisy place, that's not the hotels fault but it's something to consider...if you like it a little quieter, opt for a higher up floor :)
Absolutely awful service and terrible rooms... super thin. The bathrooms don t have fans so you don t want to drop a deuce in your own room. Windows are extremely small and useless.
Room was nice and hotel was well situated. Overall I found everything else to be kind of mediocre and I was going to go with 3 stars only BUT shout out to Peter the bartender in the hotel bistro. My colleagues and I genuinely looked forward to drinks in the hotel bar because of his outstanding service and welcoming nature. Having a "cheers" type experience is super unusual in a hotel bar. Thanks Peter!!
Nicely decorated hotel in the heart of Toronto, tram and metro station are just a few meters around the corner. Easy to reach from any angle in Toronto. Rooms are very spacious and modern, ask for a room on a high floor for the best view. Breakfast for the normal price is not recommended, buffet is very small and not worth it, there are plenty of nice tents in the area where you can get something (even starbucks located in hotel.). Hotel is recommended!
Huge, double tower hotel with great staff (Ben was awesome at check-in). Decent location. Valet parking only that isn't cheap ($38 a night). Pool is miniscule and may fit 6-8 people max. Has a concierge, computers for printing boarding passes, and a restaurant.
Rude staff. Expensive. Very weird bistro food eat off of the hotel property as there are many better restaurants near by walking distance. The elevator is extremely slow and is a very long wait in mornings and meal times. Often were out of service leaving only 1 working. Stayed for 3 days with my new born daughter. Room was quite clean and had very nice maid service. The only polite woman I met . An older Jamaican woman. Give her a raise. She goes above and beyond service.
Checking into to hotel. Parking was $35. Thats expensive. You can park less that ablock away for cheaper. Guest services was very polite. Rooms were small but comfortable. Awkward layout. Air conditioner was not up to par a d room was so warm at night. Which made it very uncomfortable. Then ontop of that shower water was freezing. Couldnt get hot hot shower b4 we checked out. Dont know if id go back to this place.
The new rooms are modern and clean. The bed is fairly comfortable, shower is a bit weak. The staff were nice and friendly, the coffee shop and lounge area are cute and relaxing. Overall a nice Courtyard!
