My husband and I visited Toronto for our 5 year Anniversary and absolutely enjoyed staying at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable. Large windows for city views, separate vanity for me to do my make up and ceiling to floor mirror closets! We parked at the parking lot right outside the hotel and we were able to monitor our car. We were right in the heart of Toronto and minutes away from Chinatown and major shopping! The hotel staff was wonderful and helpful throughout our stay. Parking is not cheap, they charge $35/overnight, we parked next to the hotel that charges $10 every 12 hours. When we visit Toronto again we will definitely stay here again!

Great service at the counter upon arrival. The location is right downtown with a lot of amenities and resteraunts within walking distance. The room I had was nice and roomy. Cable television, complimentary wifi, desk, couch, king sized bed. I also happened to come here during customer appreciate week so I won $20 to use at their in house Cafe. Great experience.

Solid room. I wish the bathroom had body wash instead of just soap but that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. The construction across the street in the next building was extremely loud in the mornings but I slept through most of it

They hosted the Pride Hub over Pride weekend. They also had an international Rotary Club Event at the same time.
I cannot shower enough praise on the staff. They were exemplary and patient, kind and helpful. I have always been a fan and member of Marriott Rewards and there is a reason for that. Marriott goes above and beyond.
I want to personally thank all of the staff for patience with wet volunteers trapsing in outta the rain, noisy volunteers in our lunch room right off the main lobby and kind generous smiles and helpful directions for the hotel and local points of interest for our visiting patrons. Awesome job once again Marriott. I expected no less and got so much more.

Customer service was pathetic, managers are under experienced. Threaten to kick us out of our room after 10 seconds in our room because they didn't build their walls thick enough to block out the very low noise level we made. That was seriously their excuse that the walls were not thick enough. I've been very disappointed.

Slow elevators in an older renovated building. Request a room on a lower floor so you can use the stairs or on a high floor so you can get in an elevator before they fill up. Valet parking is $35 but you can use the public parking garage across the street to the south for $18 a day or $4 overnight. AC unit in rooms are old and undersized so at full cold they rattle on and off all night barely keeping room near comfortable. WiFi has been solid and fast.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My room was located right next to the elevator and I can literally hear the elevator going up and down every 2 seconds. There is no difference between staying here and sleeping outside. When I asked to move my room the manager claimed they are booked out for the night. Staying here has caused me brain damage from the constant noise from the elevator. Really bad customer service, can t wait to get out of here.

First off, I think Marriott has taken away all the incentives for status members. You really get nothing in return for your loyalty.

We stayed here one night. The first room we were given (basic room as apparently there were no upgrades available for members) had a very fresh vomit stain next to the bed. We didn't notice the smell immediately because the A/C made the room so cold the smell was minimized. However, because we turned the A/C immediately when we entered the smell started to become very apparent. This room was comfortable. It was very spacious (photo's attached). However, when I called to be moved because there's no way anyone could stay in that smell, we were placed in a much smaller room which is when we found that this hotel is not very comfortable.

The nice appearance has a very superficial feeling to it. Our bathroom was poorly lit and felt unsettling. The bed was very uncomfortable. Almost like a feather topper was put over a board; soft top but no support. The noise from the hall and other rooms is very loud and be prepared because Yonge St. is not at all quiet.

On arrival the front desk staff were friendly but once again do nothing for status members. When we checked out I wasn't asked how the stay was, given a thank you, or even have a good day. I was handed my bill and that was it.

I don't write too many bad reviews but I feel like there are lots of options in the area that are less expensive and provide a better experience. And since Marriott Bonvoy gives nothing back to their loyal members there is nothing to lose.

I really like the location of this hotel for the excellent range of good food/restaurants in this part of downtown. The service is top notch and you can tell staff/management are well organized.

Friendly staff but poor room worse than the Residence Inn in Montreal where we were before.
In addition, this chain is where Marriott's platinum customers have fewer prerogatives, including free breakfast.
The other serious problem of the hotels, which is comparable to the overbooking of the airlines, are the deductions made on the credit card and not canceled when the client leaves the hotel. That is a real abuse and if you do not trust customers who do not open hotels.

The room rate was perfect for our last minute decision to stay downtown. The location is in the heart of younge street which made shopping and grabbing food easy and the hotel itself though busy with conventioneers was well kept and respectable. I would definitely go back there

Room was well appointed and staff was nice. However, the shower in our room had no hot water for an entire day. Someone did eventually come by and look at it, but it was a little inconvenient.

Other than that this hotel is great. And in a perfect location for transit and jusr hanging out downtown! I would 100% stay here again

Very convenient location, being less than a 10 minute walk from Yonge and Dundas, and a 1 minute walk to the subway station. The room and pricing is fair for its location, however had a slight odor (not too disturbing, but noticable on first entry into the room). The elevators are small and if leaving / entering at a peak time, it can take some time and be cramped. Watch out if you are facing the Yonge side however - construction for a new condo across the street will cause loud construction sounds that may wake you up at 7am!

Great location because of its proximity to all things downtown. Rooms were clean but elevators were inconveniently slow, due in part to construction on the building so some cars were out of service. I would still recommend the hotel, especially if you want to explore the village.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly enough. Location was perfect within walking distance of great restaurants, stores, and shops. The breakfast was awesome. The only complaint was the carpet looked a little dingy but hopefully they will take care of it.
