Last night my wife and I purchased a minivan from Courtesy and had the pleasure of working with Matt Hoople. Compared to experiences we have had at other dealerships in the area, Matt and Courtesy stood head and shoulders above the rest. Everything was clearly explained to us and all of our questions were answered. It was a low-pressure environment and everything was very transparent - at no point did I feel like we were dealing with the stereotypical "used car salesman" that was just trying to make a deal. Matt recommended a vehicle based on a short discussion and was able to very thoroughly explain all of the cool features and benefits of that vehicle compared to others and how they lined up with what we were looking for (and some things we didn't even know we were looking for). Matt went above and beyond taking care of my family throughout the whole process and we are very appreciative of that. I would recommend Courtesy and Matt Hoople to anyone looking for a good used vehicle.

We bought an "As Is" 2009 Jeep Commander from Courtesy just 2 weeks ago. If I could give 0 stars, I would, but I guess you need one to be able to post a review. Unfortunately, we have only been able to drive the vehicle a handful of times. It has been in and out of mechanic shops, costing $1000 last week, and it looks like another $1000-plus will go into it next week. We've replaced belts, an a/c compressor, tire valves; also, the vehicle has needed towing, and now we're onto leaking coolant and trans fluid. Keep in mind this is all within 14 days of ownership. It has been one of the worst experiences we've ever had. I emailed our salesperson for help and have yet to hear back. I realize that buying "As Is" limits us ... however, we feel the dealership has a moral obligation to not allow lemons to drive off their lot without a general, overall check. There is no way the dealer wasn't aware of these looming issues when we were sold, and by law, we should have been told. We were only informed of faulty wiper blades and hitch support bars, which we've already replaced. We are currently looking into the Consumer Protection Law because of all of this. We'll see if the dealership steps up and does the right thing.
Went here to look at a Ford Escape they had on the used lot. My husband submitted an application and everything, they were suppose to call the next day to get it submitted and get the ball rolling. He calls them and finds out his worker isn't in today, he asks the man who answers to get his app going and he says there's no one in the finance office today. I found that hard to believe...so they weren't selling any cars that day? They pretty much gave us the run around and then sold the car that day to someone else. Poor customer service and they lied

Matt Hoople was awesome. From start to finish best car buying process from the start! He was very helpful and informative to help me pick the right jeep for me. It did not have all the bells and gadgets I could afford at the moment but matt was very helpful on when the time was right I could get thing done to the vehicle through them. I would definitely recommend him to another car buyer. He was not pushy which most car salesmen I meet are pushy to get you to buy anything. but he helped me look for the right one.
My visit to the service department went as well as expected. I had set an appointment to have a recall issue addressed. I knew how long to expect to be there and was told in advance I could either stay or drop the vehicle off. A shuttle was also available. The lounge area is well maintained and inviting, and the service personnel kept me informed of progress. Although service can be inconvenient, this was a fine experience.
Nice people but. They charge $118 for the first hour minimum. It could take 5 minutes to fix whatever it is but they'll still charge you $118.... Granted at least they sound like they know what they are talking about. Just don't go here for something small because you'll be charged out the wazoo.

Went with my fiance to turn in her lease and get some numbers on a replacement. We were greeted by Sam Mcwain when we got there and he helped us throughout the whole process. This review is geared more towards Sam as he was fantastic to deal with! He listened to what we were looking for and was able to steer us in the right direction. Never once did he try to push us into a different direction, which is an experience we've had with other sales folks.
My boyfriend and I decided to go to Courtesy to purchase a reliable family vehicle. Our initial purchase was not at all what we were led to believe it would be, and the vehicle was entirely unreliable. However, Courtesy did everything they could to remedy the situation. They got us out of the unreliable vehicle and into an entirely new vehicle with affordable payments. We could not be happier! Bought our Jeep here but decided to use dealer near Spring Lake if it was just small stuff like oil changes, etc. Nope! Couldn't handle it. Courtesy takes care of me soooo much better that I will never go anywhere else from now on. When -everyone- is so nice, respectful, and professional, it's well worth the drive. They certainly live up to their name.

We had such a great experience in May of this year we came back in July to purchase another Jeep. Matt Jermstad is great! He found us what we wanted both times and we got great prices. Financing through Frank Perez was fast and painless. Overall we had a great experience and when we need another vehicle we will come back.
Wish I could give zero stars. Have never had worse customer service. Later went to Ziegler to get service done because Courtesy didn't want to help and had a great experience. After Ziegler Jeep I was bummed I ever went to Courtesy for anything. I will not be back.

My was visiting Grand Rapids on Sunday and her Grand Cherokee'swater pump blew. She got it to Courtesy Jeep first thing Monday morning. They took care of her as if she was thier BEST customer, even though she never visited the dealship before. The water pump was for a SRT 8 Jeep so it wasn't in stock. They got one from another dealership and had her on the road by 1pm Monday!!!

I just purchased my slightly used Ram truck from Matt Hoople here at Courtesy Dodge and what an awesome experience it has been. I'm usually not the type to write a review (good or bad). After dealing with many different dealerships and car salesmen in the past, I kinda concluded they were all pretty much the same. How wrong was I! I have to admit I was very wrong, my experience here was something totally different than what I was used to. The staff are very polite, informative and respectful of any of my questions or concerns. The staff were very accommodating and went far and beyond to make sure I was pleased with my purchase. I left completely satisfied with no complaints and feeling like I gained a new friend that came with my purchase. Long as my experiences go as good as this thus far I will forever be a loyal customer.

Absolutely amazing! Went in on a Saturday afternoon and we were immediately greeted by James Snyder. Even though he was not an actual salesperson anymore, he didn't hesitate to help us since there were no available salesmen. He was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Not a fan of this dealership, I have a lot of experience with leasing vehicles and this by far is the worst one I have had. They ended up not paying off our current lease correctly and then when it was reported to them they pretty much said "Oh well". The whole process has been a pain. I wish we would have just went to Berger.
Came in late Friday afternoon and worked with Anthony Schaner. Left Saturday AM with the new truck! ( I came in too late Friday and banks were closed) He and everyone there were very helpful and knowledgeable. Walked me through the Truck i ended up purchasing with everything from options, trim levels, and everything in between. They even went the extra step to find me some incentives i didn't know existed or i qualified for, and saved me even more money than i anticipated. Picked up the car washed, detailed, and full of gas! Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone!

I had a bad experience. They had a GMC truck that was listed online and I was one of the first ones if not the first who contacted the sales department in a couple ways including phone, text, email and website. They first day I had to wait a couple hours to get a response then they closed. They next day Which is today, I called and left messages too then the salesperson told me that his manager won t accept a deposit or a full price amount wire transfer. I offered that way to show my interest and to make sure they consider the car as sold because I live 9 hours away but the manager won t work with me even If I book a flight the manager won t hold the car for me. I was very disappointed to waste my time because I thought doing business with this dealership would be a good choice and it was absolutely not worth it. The only thing I would say is thank you to Chris who was trying to help me. At least Chris tried to help.
We bought our new Dodge Ram 2500 from Pat Smith and his service was fantastic no pressure at all. Helped us sort out what rating we would need to fit our motorbikes in the back. Very helpful. We would recommend buying a car through them. Very professional with no pressure salesmen.

Courtesy is way more than a name here. We worked with Kevin Gizowski and we were treated with respect in a timely manner with the repair to our minivan. When there were minor issues getting the part, they went out of their way to make it right and inconvenience us as little as possible.
We then returned to get the brakes fixed on our other vehicle and the service was not a fluke! They were timely, courteous, competitively priced, and straight forward with us. We will now take all our vehicles there for everything they need, right down to oil changes!
Just a regular car dealership, we called on a Jeep there and the sales lady they assigned us to said it was sold but it was still on the lot a week later.

Had a bad experience with the service department. Brought our Jeep here to have it looked at because it was close to my wife s work, and convenient. I realize now it was a mistake. Quoted me outrageous prices to fix the things that were wrong with it, and when I declined to have them fixed there, charged me $141 for diagnostic fees. Tried to make it sound like they were giving me a break and it was actually $241 worth of diagnostics. Service guy Jason Miller made my wife feel like the Jeep was a piece of junk, and said he wouldn t have bought one of those, and proceeded to tell her about his Jeep and how much better it is. I recommend taking your car somewhere else where customers get treated with respect.

They did everything they could to help get me get the car I wanted. Everyone here was extremely nice and helpful and not pushy! Other than the fact of having no loaner cars available my experience was great. I got to my appt. I didn't have to wait. I was in a rush and they got to my car as soon as they could. I did appreciate them taking me to school and picking me back up.

Fixed a recall that I was even unaware of, no charge of course. Kept in contact, spent time going over a few questions I had and just went above and beyond excellent service.
