Taking your kids to COSI is a very good way for them to learn about science without them knowing that they're learning. There are endless opportunities for fun! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is up for fun and learning at the same time!!

25 dollars to get in was a little pricy. I remember cosi being way more hands on when I was a kid. The adventure place and space was amazing. Now it is very meh. The area for the smaller children was very nice and my daughter loved it. But everything else was meh for her. Maybe I am an adult now and the magic is gone for me. Not sure. But i remember cosi being better. The employees i came in contact with were either very nice or super rude. I miss the old cosi.

Great place for pratical science learning.Kid friendly place.Loved the planetarium experience in which they detailed on atmospheric condition of different planets and their moons.
At the end of the presentation, I was curious to know about possibility of life in universe other than earth.

Kids love it despite seeing the same exhibits several times. They do have traveling exhibits... I appreciate those, especially since I've been coming here since I was a kid. That makes a membership more worth it.
I do think parking should be covered if you have a membership... much like the zoo...

Overcrowded and basically a daycare for parents that do not want to watch their children. Most kids have to wait several minutes for inconsiderate adults or unsupervised children to be done with an exhibit. Even then someone still manages to squeeze in front of you.
I counted 11 exhibits that were "temporarily" down.
Several of the exhibits cost additional money on top of the overpriced admission fee.
For a fairly new facility there were many areas that needed repainted or repaired.
The hours of operation are slim which seem to bring in a less than desirable crowd of people.
Overall my experience was wholly negative and.

My husband and I went for a Valentine's date to the COSI After Dark event. It was great! They had an interesting presentation from the Columbus Zoo, the exhibits were awesome, and they had bars set up throughout. The only negative that I would note is that paying extra for the food was not worth it. It was not a great selection, but the event overall was awesome! We will definitely be returning.

I will not be back. There are a lot of cool things to look at, and many interactive options too. When you get general admission, what you can do is very limited. The prices are outrageous and are not worth the experience. The restrooms were by far the most disgusting restrooms I have ever seen in my entire life, and I used to work at Chuck E Cheese's so I've seen some really nasty things. It looked as if they weren't cleaned in over a week. The floors were sticky from urine, toilet paper covered the floor, all stalls were covered in feces and urine as well. The halways smelled awful of the stench of urine and feces. I told the man at customer service and he laughed it off. I'm not sure if he even alerted anyone. We spent $75 on 4 adult tickets and one kid ticket for GENERAL ADMISSION with a discount. You also have to pay $10 for parking! There are no rules posted and it seemed as if no employees had any safety guidelines to follow. If you bring your kids here, watch them closely. I honestly would not recommend it at all though. A lot of the hands on things could be hazardous and need to be monitored. I am very disappoint and feel like so much money was wasted!

I had a really good time here while visiting from Georgia. I will never forget the kids cycling on the line above from second story. Watching them made me want to puke and cry! Lol but all in all I think it's an amazing facet of Columbus.

What did I just spend $50+ on??? Oh my goodness. It's over crowded, the exhibits are... meh. The current dinosaur exhibit is a joke. I left this place with a pit in my stomach over the amount of money I spent on cheap exhibits. The only good exhibit was on Egypt but not $50 good!
I'll point out that my child is 7 and walked out saying, "it was only okay". We like the Oklahoma Science Museum and the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery so much more.

I remember COSI being absolutely amazing as a kid (Im 27 now). I feel like since it's moved to the new location it has really gone down hill. Far less activities and half the ones they have are broken. I don't feel like its worth the $19 admission. Very dissapointed

I like the ideas behind the exhibits at Cosi, however, there are an insane amount of touch screens and video games as the basis behind their teachings. If I wanted my kids to play with ipads, video games, or even watch tv, I could go to Cosi, or I could just keep them home and they could do it there. I know people think this is just Cosi keeping up with the latest technology but I prefer for my kids to learn things in a hands on way. Really disappointing.

We live about 1.75 hours away from COSI and still visit about once every three months or so. This place is a fantastic place for children to learn and play. They opened 2 new exhibits recently, Lost Egypt and Dinosaur Gallery. Both were absolutely phenomenal. My boys loved getting to see a REAL mummy, and the dinosaur exhibit was equally fascinating. Definitely check this out.

Went to COSI after dark. This is NOT the COSI from when I was a kid. The focus used to be on learning, science, and fun. Now it's pay to park, pay to get in, pay for every major exhibit once you are in.... and it just goes on and on!!! The exhibits that you didn't have to pay for had advertising all over them. Their were more meeting rooms for rent than actual exhibits!!! COSI should now stand for The "Commercialization" of Science and Industry!
Disgusting!!!

It was free day on Saturday December 29th as yet it felt like it was more to see than hands on, there was alot of little kids bumping into people, a few homeless people who smelled really bad, easily getting lost, it was nuts!

My favorite parts of COSI have always been the interactive parts. Gadgets is great for interaction, especially when the Gadgets Cafe is open. I love the Poseidon side of Oceans. The Energy section also has interactive activities. I always enjoy galavanting down the streets of history in Progress.
However, Adventure was the reason why I had a membership. Since Adventure has gone, I haven't bothered to renew my membership, because there isn't anything there that keeps me wanting to go back as often. (Adventure had multiple levels of puzzles to decode, and so much to look at, it felt like you were never really "finished"). When Adventure was there, I would have rated it 5 stars. I was going on a weekly basis at that point.
This COSI doesn't feel as interactive as the old COSI did. I remember the screens you could dance in front of, &the screens would follow your movement. I recall water play tables, &a play house you could plumb or "wire" (I forget which it was). I remember feeling like I always had something to do, or more to explore. It all just seems a bit less now.
That being said, it's still a great place to go, if you're from out of town, or don't go often. It has a ton of fun, interesting things to do, and the traveling exhibits help to keep it more interesting!
I LOVE the adult After Dark and All-Nighter activities, those get a 5 star rating! I am so happy that COSI offers After Dark monthly, as it's one of my favorite things about living in Columbus. Science museum + booze - children = a blast! You don't feel obligated to allow a kid to take over an exhibit, because there aren't any kids there! The themes keep it interesting, because there are lectures, learning tables, &guest exhibitors which come in to teach you something new. If you are over 21, like to play in science museums, and haven't been to an After Dark event, do it! They are usually on the 1st Thursday of the month. Do it!

25 bux for admission is outrageous !! should be no more than 10 bux, we ended up going to the FREE library to read science books , parents who refuse to discipline their WILD offspring, when they need a serious paddling with a wood boating oar, kids who throw food at adults, and then laugh about it, while all parents just ''turn off & tune out'' mobile phone addicts, so sad, they sell their mortal souL for tech, maybe cosi could just implant a phone microchip inside their pea brains or better yet all the addict parents could have a robot sex change operation to become a total cyborg, u know, work for cyberdyne on the skynet system

We really enjoyed this museum. It is focused more on small children but there is enough to keep adults and teenagers interested. It is about a two to three hour museum and very educational. Parking is plentiful and convenient. There is a fee to park. We really liked the crocodillian exhibit. It was too cold to enjoy the exhibits outside. We will return.

Our family enjoyed our visit to COSI. Large facility with a nice variety of exhibits for multiple age groups. My only concern was in the small quantity of staff that appeared to be available in various exhibits. Seemed like a few more staff would have been helpful.

Took my son here for his 7th birthday and he loved it. We got the do it all tickets but I didn t feel like we had enough time for everything during the time the place was open.
My suggestion, if you want to see the science shows/planetarium/3D movie experiences, as well as visit all the parts of the museum, is to make it in two trips instead of trying to squeeze it all into one day. We didn t even make it to the gift shop in time before it closed because we were rushing around trying to catch everything.
We definitely plan on coming back and spending more time at the exhibits next time.
The shows were very cool, for both adults and kids. My favorite was the rat basketball and my sons favorite was the chemistry show. The unicycle on a tightrope was also fun (not scary at all!)

My parents took my seven year old to COSI yesterday. When they were leaving the parking lot, the parking lot attendant was extremely rude to them when they tried to pay with cash (apparently this is not well advertised). They drove over an hour to get there, and her poor treatment of them is not something easily forgotten. I doubt they will return.

COSI is a great and interactive place to bring the whole family. We have an ASTC museum membership which allows free entry to museums around the country including this one. It has been 5 years since we last visited COSI and it did not disappoint, not even for our 15 and 12 year olds. It is a visually and tactically stimulating place. The life and under ocean exhibits was awesome. Great place for families and even a date, if you're into science!

Absolutely the best kidspace in town. Our kids love it, and we love the staff and design. We can really let the kids free play and build independence without feeling like we have to watch like hawks for one to wander off or get injured. The space is closed on with one staffed entrace/exit who give you a ticketed headcount in and out. Wonderfully designed.

Mystic Creatures was a waste of money; DO NOT Waste Your Money. It was a two turn three minute exhibit that cost us an additional $20 to the already expensive admission. I just don t want to see anyone else lose money when it could be spent on an IMAX movie or something.

I love this place. I've been going there since it was on broadstreet, when they used to have the little yellow submarine sitting outside. I think the new building is great. But the old location had a lotta charm, and I think the smaller space made the museum seem like it had a ton more stuff. The new location has some nice stuff too. I really like the Ocean exhibit, its got a cool layout really transports you to a different place. I'd give 5 stars, but I think the traveling exhibits are a bit of a money grab. I went to the new spy exhibit with a nephew and it was an extra fee on top of the entry fee. In addition it was pretty crowded. At the end of the day it wasn't worth it. Again I distinctly remember going to exhibits in cosi's "little big space" in the adjoining tent. They seemed to one be free and too just better/bigger. I'm thinking about the nascar exhibit on physics, where they had a nascar and a bank of arcade nascar games. Using the nascar games they explained various physical forces.

Took my son for a father/son day and we both loved it. The volunteers were great and allowed my 7 yr old to help set the balls up for the pendulum. Great place and can't wait to go back. The cafeteria was nice and great selection, a little over priced but that's expected.

COSI was someplace that I used to frequent a lot as a kid and always had a blast. Went back there with my boyfriend because he's not from Ohio and I wanted to show him COSI. Was NOT a pleasant experience.
The majority of the staff was moody and mean. Which created for a not so fun environment. Quite a few of the exhibits had stuff that wasn't working very well or not at all, which is surprising considering they nickel and dime you for pretty much everything. And chalk full of rude and impatient people, not really COSI's fault I know, but it still sucks that people lack basic manners and politeness in public. Food was sub par and over priced.
All in all it was not the best experience and I was very disappointed. Probably not going to go back, it's not worth the $60+ dollars you end up spending.
SUCH a disappointment. I went to COSI on a field ...
SUCH a disappointment. I went to COSI on a field trip in 5th grade back in 1989 and I had such fond memories of what a fun, exciting time I had. I decided to take my children today, making a 90 minute drive to get there. I was confused when I arrived because it didn't look the same at all. (I've since read that this is a new building.) This "new" COSI is nothing like it was when I went there as a kid. "Science" seems to be replaced with pushing a political agenda and social engineering. (For example, the whole place was decorated with rainbows for gay pride month.) Even my kids noticed this and thought it was strange. There were almost no exhibits, and the ones they had were boring or had small children crawling all over them. My kids would wait for their turn to interact with an exhibit, only to have some unsupervised kid butt in front of them. Additionally, they found the whole place to be very boring. We saw a planetarium show, and the picture was fuzzy. It's so sad - I have memories of this cool, exciting, magical place that's just gone now.

I want to start off by saying that I visited the facility and website. My experience at the facility was sub standard. The only nice employee I dealt with was the lady I purchased our tickets from. The rest of the employees either snubbed us or had severe attitude in their voices when talking to my son and I. My son received a gift card for Christmas (it is now July) and we were going to use it online at the gift store because we live almost three hours away. The items listed on the gift store was very sad and only accounted for maybe a 1/16 of what they actually had in-store. We chose a mug and 10 of the Neapolitan ice creams. When I tried to check out there was no place to use a gift card. I had called into COSI to find out how to use a gift card, I was transferred to three different people that couldn't help me then I was placed on hold for about 40 minutes until I hung up and called back. My call was answered right away and I explained to the lady my situation. I was told that gift cards could not be used in the online gift store even though there is no mention of this on the gift card. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was put on the phone and her professionalism was bad. She had tried to talk me out of what I was wanting to order and after about 5 failed attempts she finally agreed to put my order though. I was also informed that the gift cards were something new and that COSI's website was in severe need of updating from the manager. I can't believe that COSI treats their customers like this and allows their employees to waste their customers time and money. I will not be returning to either the facility nor the website.
