This place is awesome! I've seen many concerts here and this past Christmas I saw A Miracle on 34th Street shown in black and white on the screen. I love this place and I will keep coming back.

I love the Arcada Theatre! There is not a bad seat in the whole place. It's so intimate yet totally legit in terms of what it offers. I saw Neal Morse from the back row of the balcony and it was like he was performing in my living room, everything was so close. Awesome venue!

This review pertains to the venue itself, not the performances which it seems to me many reviews seem to blend the performances with the venue review. The venue needs updating, during the show last night there was constant dripping from the ceiling (appeared to be condensation due to the air conditioning not working property, pretty much not at all), but not only was water dripping but also bits and pieces of the ceiling overhead near the first row of searing. Next, the restroom facilities, while probably nostalgic to some, were inadequate. Two toilets for women s restroom with little room in the stahl or in the restroom itself for sink access. I understerstand the men s restroom also had two urinals. I m not sure how many people the venue accommodates but certainly not enough restroom facilities for the attendees. Also, the venue itself smells musty, could be age, but I ve been in many old buildings that don t smell so musty. This could also be partially impacted by the non-working air conditioning. The owner announced prior to the show that next year they ll have new air conditioning, nice time to mention that after we already spent $132.50 for two tickets! Very hot, and uncomfortable for a 3-hour show by the way. They also really pack in the people by placing chair seating right up against one another. Combine the too close for comfort seating with non-working air conditioning and the results are a very uncomfortable evening.

Bottom line: this place needs major updating and even more so to command such high ticket prices. I hope they do make updates so this could be a solid suburban venue option for attending performances in the future.

I gave the venue two starts because a large majority of the staff were good, and because the owner actually went on stage to greet the crowd and talked about the AC issue...otherwise this would be a one star.

Arcada Theater and Ron Onesti have created a great venue, and will have some needed improvements upcoming, like an improved HVAC system and updated bathrooms in the near future. They have superb shows regularly, get out and enjoy some live music! Highly recommended!

Great venue in a building with an amazing and interesting history. Not a bad seat in the house. Sound system is excellent. Staff is friendly and always very helpful.
The variety of shows they put on is incredible. We've seen some absolutely amazing bands and musicians here. The place has a charm like no other venue I know of.
Ron Onesti, the owner, is the best host in the entertainment business, hands down. He makes the place what it is. He's one of those guys that really cares about his guests. Every time we go, he thanks us for coming out . In this day and age, that's unheard of.
The best kept secret of The Arcada, shhhhh, don't tell anyone I told you. The meatball sliders for 3 bucks. OMG, amazing. Great bar too.
Thanks to The Arcada, Ron Onesti and staff all the amazing shows and great times we've had there.
Best venue in the mid west IMHO.

They get 3 stars for the fun bands that they get to play. The bathrooms are ridiculously small. The chairs are very old and worn in the theatre. The ceiling has tiles literally hanging, waiting to fall. Club Arcada is very fun, and adorably decorated.

Food was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was amazing, really get the old 1920' feel. Designed like a speakeasy. The band playing was the flat cats and they were amazing, not only do they sound like they fit in the time (and with perfection) but they were really nice, genuine people. I spoke with them before their second set and proposed to my now fiance (she said yes) but they brought me up on stage so I could do it with everyone watching. Thank you Arcada for the most magical night!

Just had another great night at the Arcada Theatre! We have been to numerous shows over the years and always have a great time. It is easy to get to, easy to park and easy to get out of, not to mention tons of dining and drink options nearby for both before and after the show. This was our first visit to the Speakeasy upstairs, and we had a great time, we definitely plan to visit again! Ron and Crew, thanks for hosting another great evening, we can't wait to visit again!

Boy do I love this place! Just a great venue, and the Speakeasy upstairs is like stepping back in time. Hit the concert then head upstairs to the door behind the password. You won t be sorry!

There's not a bad view of the stage from anywhere in the place. The drinks are reasonably priced and not watered down. The ushers were super friendly.
The only negative thing I have to say is to avoid the last row of the balcony. The seats have no leg room compared to the rest of the venue. My 6' 3" husband couldn't sit without his knees being in the seat in front of him. We ended up standing behind our seats for the whole concert.

Wow!! Great show last night with the It was 50 years ago white album tribute My 13 year old son plays electric guitar and loves the Beatles and Monkees - he was the youngest person in the audience. A huge shout out to Ron Onesti for making this kid s dream come true- he was able to meet Mickey Dolenz and have him sign an LP. The concert was awesome!! The entire band was excellent - Todd Rundgren made everyone smile!! Great place to see real music !

Fun!

Great Place for a Show. Been going there 2 or 3 times a Year for Concerts. I travel over 4 hours one way each time I attend a Show and I wouldn't do that if it wasn't a GREAT VENUE. I've already been twice in 2020 with Tickets in Hand already for 2 more Shows this Year and it's only February!

Small venue situated in beautiful downtown town St.Charles with rich history and vintage looks .It feels up close and intimate with the performers.Worth while visiting and hearing your favorite artist.

Mark Farner was good but only played 10 songs. One of the songs was a CSN&Y cover. I bought this ticket BEFORE Chuck Negron was on the bill. This concert should have had at least 15 Grand Funk, Mark Farner songs. Not much bang for the buck. Disappointed!
