This is the best coffee shop in Phoenix. Hands down! I've been going here for a lot of years now and thats because I'm always greeted with a genuine smile and nice conversation with the staff and owner. You want feel intimidated by trendy weirdos instead you will feel at home surrounded by lots of great local art and peeps. Literally all types of people go here and I've met a lot of friends here too. Also very dog friendly!

Awesome little spot. Hard to find parking. Apparently there's a drive thru but I couldn't find it, haha. The food was so fresh. Omg, I had an egg and cheese bagel and it was incredible, I told all my friends about it. The house chai was pretty good, a little spicy for me. I'll definitely be back!

Parking can be tricky, but it's well worth the trip. Copper Star has a great selection of really tasty beverages, including some awesome teas. I'm a major fan of their house chai blend, and love the lavender mocha as well. The decor and music make for a cool place to enjoy your drink, as well. Haven't tried the food, yet, but the beverages alone are worth a trip or ten).

I challenge you to come here 3 or more times and not end up feeling like family. An incredible amount of staff behind the counter all working together like clockwork. Love this place, seriously great coffee, unpretentious and comfortable.

Neat coffee shop with good salad and smoothies. I recently spent the better part of the day there, using it as an away office. Wedge salad was delicious and the berry/banana smoothie was refreshing.

Great local coffee place. Sells not just coffee and pastries (both my cinnamon roll and cappuccino were delicious), but they also had necklaces for sale from what looked like a local artist, so supporting the local community. Indoor and outdoor seating, the misters were nice for the outdoor seats when it started heating up.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, Sunny served us. The restaurant is gorgeous and relaxing. The pastries are amazing and you get a free one on your first visit!! I loved the antiques and repurposed touches to the renovated gas station. I really enjoyed the patio area as well.

The Coffee is delicious. You ask for it and they know how to make it. The staff is very acommodating. The food isn't that great. They have dry cupcakes and bread. the scones and muffins just kind of all taste the same. They do however have a really good chocolate chip cookie. I go there to get my day going with their coffee, but I don't like spending on food from them. I gave them five stars because the coffee is that good.

I've changed my review from 4 to 5 stars. I've been here 10x since my original review and the food and owner are amazing. The place seems a little disorganized and sometimes it is. With that said, it's got character and that matters to me. As for the review, the bacon...oh the bacon. The BLT and the breakfast sandwich with bacon are stupid good. The cinnamon rolls are damn near perfection. Get it heated and then bathe in it. SO raves about the coffee. Owner goes out of his way to provide amazing service. 5 stars, I've been won over.

This was my first time to the copper star coffee and all u can say is I was very impressed with the level of customer service and the atmosphere was wonderful, very relaxed and lid back energy just as they advertise. The coffee was great, not the burnt taste of other places! I think I found a new place to go and relax at and enjoy some great coffee.

Friendly stay and they have a nice selection of coffee drinks. Their mocha was great. They also have some pastries and I think they offer other foods as well. Fun atmosphere inside and out, like an old gas station. They ve got outside seating with water misters to keep you cool in Arizona s heat. Free WiFi, and couches inside. Some customers looked like they were working on their laptops, while others were socializing.

Better than Starbucks, check them out!

Great local coffee shop in the neighborhood with a variety of offerings. Great pastries and sweets, a large selection of tea, as well as coffee. Has a great outside space to catch up or for meetings, and when it is cold, there is a fire setup as well. Has a drive through for folks in a rush and a number of regulars, which makes the place feel cozy and welcoming.

Copper Star Coffee is the anchor establishment of the Melrose. The overall environment is relaxed and welcoming because the staff are warm, good folks. A special feature of Copper Star is the Sunday afternoon performances of True Flavor Blues Band. They are a local rarity ... outstanding musicians that actually deliver the Blues!

The coffee here is truly amazing. We re pretty basic coffee drinkers (americanos), but the flavor to Copper Star Coffee was superb. The setup of this place is cute- and old gas station. However, they ve entirely closed their inside, so the outside is quite crowded at times.

Tucked away in downtown Phoenix I fell in love with this old gas station turned coffee shop. I felt instantly welcome as I was addressed upon entering. Their drinks were amazing, their service was quick and accurate, and I caught myself writing in this warm atmosphere for hours after catching up with an old friend. I can't wait to return. Definitely recommend this to my creative friends

Thank you! My morning was already filled with energy and happiness. All thanks to this shop and the waitress that served my coffee and bread properly and amazingly. Besides, their shop was a very good place to visit, for it was clean, comfortable, and stylish. It also has a very nice view that was overlooking the city. I mean, it was relaxing and perfect!

I absolutely love this place. It's neat, friendly, and the drive thru is very convenient. I always used to bring my dog in here on walks and they had dog treats on the counter, but some whiney snowflake complained and now they're not allowed inside.

I didn't have a lot of expectations for a non-chain coffee shop on 7th Street and Indian School but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was calm and quite, the service was prompt. It is a nice place to sit down with a friend and talk. I had a big chocolate chip cookie and it was to die for, and a fruity tea. I highly recommend this place as a quite spot off the beaten path in a very interesting part of Phoenix.

This is an OK place for coffer addicted people like me. The coffee is good, but the indoor space isn't big enough even it's wide open area. In the cool day, it'd be better to sit outside.

The location is great, but it's not easy to spot if you don't know the area.

A very relaxed atmosphere with pretty much everyone doing something on a handheld device. They do serve a great cup of coffee. My favorite is their iced chai tea. The pastries and.. bagels pretty much always fresh unless its closing time but even then still pretty good. I haven't tried the other things on their menu food-wise however from the looks of it everyone seems to enjoy what they have in front of them. Overall a positive experience every time. Customer service is definitely something they do well. And it's in the Melrose district and right next to my dogs grooming place Wag n Wash.

Little, local place with good coffee and friendly staff and patrons. The only downside is that the live music can be too loud. So if you go on the weekend you better like jazz at high volumes. But hey, at least they have live music.
