This place is absoloutely horrendous and their customer service skills needs alot of work! There's a reason why they have such low ratings. The ONLY friendly, courteous, and professional worker there is apparently Nick. If you have any issues, speak with him - management should definitely have a word with "Ramona" - if that is even her real name, Douby - who lacks basic customer service skils, such as being curteous and friendly, and Dolores - who surprisingly sounds very much Ramona, interrupts and hangs up on someone, very nasty attitude problem.

My family has two cars that are financed through Consumer Mortgage. They ve been good to us and even helped us when one of the cars broke down. I m happy with my experience with this company and would recommend them if you have trouble getting accepted for financing.
They do not even deserve that one star. I paid my monthly note every month (NEVER skipped a month) and when I for the first time was TEN days late on payment, they repoed my car. Also, they charge ASTRONOMICAL interest rates. I cannot fathom how these evil doers sleep at night. DO NOT GO WITH THEM OUT OF DESPERATION! I REPEAT, DO NOT DO IT!
I received my pay date, I call on or before my date, pay bill, and go about my day. It's fairly fast, they verify info, ask if I want to use the previous payment method, give me a confirmation number, and we're done. I can't speak to other people's experience, but mine has been just fine, if not excellent.
I like that I can call them any time and someone actually answers the phone instead of an automated system. I ve never had a car loan before so I had a lot of questions. They are super helpful and have answered all my questions about my account.
This company has rude customer services representatives that have no concern of the customer's impact on the business. They are extremely unorganized and have no core values for the company to be based on. I would never recommend anyone to purchase a car or anything else from this company due to the lack of respect they offer to their consumers. Rochelle and her Manager Kit is rude as hell avoud this company by all means, I have never felt so disrespected in my 35 years of living she was cursing us out and when I asked for her supervisor she took the call and went left on me.
My credit was trashed because of my ex husband and I got turned down everywhere to get a car loan until Consumer Mortgage agreed to finance me. Their rate is high, but I really didn t have a choice because I needed a car to get to work. I paid extra on my monthly bill whenever I could and actually ended up paying my car off a few months early! Honestly, I thought they were really nice to deal with, nobody was ever rude to me when I had to call about my account. I asked if they would finance my next car - the lady I spoke to told me that my credit score might have improved and that I should try getting a better rate somewhere else first. I thought that was a really honest thing to say. Hopefully I can get a lower interest rate somewhere else, but I have no problem recommending this company if you have bad credit and need a car.

I've had my car with them since Oct. 2013 never once have had any issues with them. I always pay my car note on time, I'm guessing that is many other people's complains. With what happened with Harvey both me and my husband lost our jobs, I called and spoke to someone about holding off on payments, she told me to pay $100 and my payments would resume on Dec. I've always had a good experience here. No one has ever been rude or had an attitude with me. Just thought I'd write this review because when I was first going to start payments with them I read the reviews and got scared that I would have to be dealing with them but my experience has always been a good one.
I was threatened several times by staff member Ramona about repoing my car that wasn't even a month payment behind customer service is not good nor is the manager after repo in the car and sold they never told me that our payoff balance or anything else that was reported to the credit bureau or how much the car was sold for
They took my wife's car because she was one payment behind. The car is in need of a major repair. That is what she was doing, trying to keep it running. Oh well, it's their headache now. Good riddance, their loss.
Update.... i just spoke to the rudest, most disrespectful,and trashy woman named Romana Salinas. This woman actually had the nerve to get an attitude when I was telling her when I be making my payment, when I asked her what her attitude was about, the reply was we don't have customer service... good bye Felicia.

I only been with this company a month and already regret the decision... Listen to the reviews on here. They are very rude and disrespectful. I would not do business with them except I was left no other option. Remember people, Drive time approves everyone and are no where near as rude to deal with.

I paid on my truck for 3 years and got really ill and it resulted in me having 6 surgeries and they took my truck and messed my credit up. I cannot see how people can do these things to people

Terrible/Horrible customer service!!!! Threats about repossessing a vehicle when they haven't done their job to send any proof they are your finance company. They should get off their asses and stop being one and send proper information, so people wont be late on car note payment and receive threats of repossession. Yelling at people with out finding out the real story won't make your life easier. I suggest better training and more cheerful reps that can get the job done right in order to run a better business that wants to keep customers and not call a tow truck to make their life less interesting!

I understand I only deal with Nick ONLY. The women are very very rude don't know why but they are there interest rate are very high and they charge if you use your debit card it's crazy. If it was not for Nick I think I would have refinanced which I am in July so I am so glad I will not have to deal with this company.

Horrible costumer service! They changed my due date without my knowledge. I was given the 26th and i have it in writing! Ramona Salinas has no customer service. Hung up on me twice for asking for my date and she gives me a completely different date i did not sign for! Not recommended!

When everything froze in Houston I missed a week of work and didn t have enough to make my car payment because we had to stay in a hotel to not freeze to death. I tried calling to tell them but I couldn t get through - I think their phones were down too - but when I finally spoke to someone, she was super nice and helpful. They gave me extra time to make my payment and didn t hassle me about it.
If you pay on time and let them know if you re going to be late then they will work with you. Nice people.

I wanted to write this review because when I read these reviews about this company I was really horrified about having to call and talk to them! Turns out, I haven t had any issues with customer service since I began payments to them. I believe if you re rude, they might be rude back. If you re nice they re very straight forward & just normal people. Usually takes 2 mins. Actually pretty pleased how simple and quick it is.

These people are garbage. Some dumb lady that sounded like she didn't even have a GED called me asking about a Audi and when I told her I didn't know anything she threw some weak ass threat at me haha. I had financed for a S2000 so I didn't give a damn what she said. I had a female call up there and set her silly ass straight just for the laugh. Don't ever do business with these limited people.
I got way behind on my bills because of covid. The reps at Consumer Mortgage helped me with a payment plan so I could get caught up. Without their help I probably would have lost my car. Thank you!

I really needed a car but my credit wasn t very good. The dealer got me approved through CMC. I was a little hesitate due to the reviews but I went and talked to them. After our meeting I was pretty impressed with their honestly and professionalism. The rate seemed high but the situation I put myself in was the cause they were the solution to correcting it. After four years my credit increased a lot. I was able to purchase my next car at a much lower rate (not with CMC) but I really appreciate them accepting me when no one else would. They helped me get my life on back track. Thank you CMC!

I have never given a 1 star review to any company. This by far is the WORSE company I have ever had to deal with. I mean I agree solely with 99% of each review on here. How rude the reps are, DOBIE/ROMONA, even the "office manager" Tim (which sounds like Dobie- lol) does not care truly about his clients at all. He cares solely about how long he has been doing this "30 years" - and that only they are a third chance finance. I am in collections, what I do not understand is how you talk to a customer like they're trash and allow your reps to do so? I seriously have only had good talks with Nick, and he is so genuine and kind - he is the only difference in the company. I highly recommend just buying a car from a mom and pop shop verse dealing with this group of class acts.
Wow I just paid off my 2012 Ford focus through this awesome mortgage company...It's a breeze whenever you take care of your business...never once did I have a problem with them explaining everything that I needed to do on my end. First payment due today - I guess because I have not received one piece of information from this company. RUDE woman answered the phone, says I can't pay with my checking account because she doesn't know that bank. She was absolutley the rudest person I have ever talked to! So my choices are pay $25 to pay with my credit card (from that same checking account) or drive there and make a payment in person. This is going to be a VERY long three years!!

I will say this... yes I have called a couple of times and have gotten some rude ppl but who knows what they had going on that day. They were probably just having a bad day. But what I do know is I became sick and I was not working. At the same time I m sick and not working the car breaks down. I was expecting a check to come at a certain time and it didn t. They were very patient and understanding. They were considerate enough to give me time on the note so that I could pay for repairs. And for that I am very grateful!

I called yesterday to speak with her about my payment and she was very rude talking to me like I was some person off the streets not a customer. I told her she was very rude. I was still talking she placed me on hold wow. Then she comes back and I was telling her why are you being rude omg your so rude she yelled something and hung up in my face. I would give negative stars but u can't. Run from these thieves! I got a call from one of their employees becuz they had yet to receive my pymnt and she threaten to send a tow truck I drove up there that same day to have a word with her and surprisingly she wasn't available becuz I was gonna get her all the way together. Mind you my note was 1 day late. I wouldn't finance a pack of gum through them I had no choice when I was getting my car and my credit was bad from choices I made when I was young. I just finished reading the reviews and had to laugh only because in the beginning of my contract, I experienced some of the same issues, especially with the ladies. I just thought they didn't like me for whatever reason. I, too, wanted to give one of the ladies a piece of my mind because she always wanted to discuss my business on speaker phone. Because of the guys, nick, tim and dobie, I gave CMC a 4 star rating because they have been good to me. CMC has worked with me when I lost my job, refinanced my car, made my payments affordable for me. I needed a car badly and they were the only one who took that leap of faith with me and i thank them.
I haven't any problems with them. My husband got me car from them in March. Well he stabbed and in the hospital for 3weeks in June. I was late on all my bills. But they were really understanding. No one seemed to have any issues. I guess I caught them on the right days.

They never updated my account from over a year ago when I gave the car back and now that I need proof that I no longer have their belongings they literally hung up in my face! Tim the manager is very rude and dry, the operator jalisa covers for him and will leave u on hold all day! I ve had my car through them for more than 2 years and was never, ever late on my payments until COVID. My company cut my hours and I could barely pay any of my bills in July. When I called to ask for help, they really worked with me by letting me make half payments and doing a deferment. I think I talked to Nick almost every week to let him know what was going on! I was so scared they would repossess my car, but I finally got back to work and back on track with my bills. Thanks for working with me!

This company was my finance company for a year. 100% Hated it!
In the beginning like most companies they called to complete the welcome call and go over the contract with their specific stipulations.
The most logical question such as "Is there a grace period to pay the note after the actual due date?" The given response totally prompted me think "What have I gotten myself into"! The representative that I spoke with clearly stated "Your car note needs to paid on the 6th or we will come pick up your car"! Of course in return I asked, "What if a life event happens and I need additional time, what happens then?" After that I was blatantly cut off and told "We did not have to offer you financing, do you want the car or not?" From that moment on I simply mailed in payments, not to mention my head was telephonically ate off when I called a week later to pay a month early because I was ready to starting paying them off.
All in all I hardly called and spoke with them. I paid early or on time and thanks to God I was approved a year later for a brand new car with an actual BANK!
Being young and not making smart choices I had to deal with the company however, it was worth it because either way they report to all agencies and all payments were on time and showed on my credit report.
This company needs a full renovation starting with employees. It does not make any professional sense to have that the 90% of the employees render Attitude & blatant disrespect.
Their demeanor gives the impression that just because they approved a person with old baggage they are at their debt so in return the disrespect is warranted.

Towed my car with no problem. I don't owe a lot of money maybe 700$. I have had my car since July of 2017 It is now February 2019 I have lost my job but just gained another 1. How will I get there with no car? Its tax season I'm sure they no people behind on their notes will use this month to catch up. Once I get my car back my goals are to finish paying them and move on with my life.

These people are the most DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, NO HOME TRAINING INDIVIDUALS I have ever come across. I have NEVER missed a payment, in fact, i pay an additional $181 monthly to not have to deal with them. The only reason why I was FORCED to go with them is that I at the time had NO credit. I hate speaking to them on the phone because they REFUSE to give receipts. When asked simple questions they scream like children who have had a toy taken away from them. When going to this run-down dump you are greeted with RUDE comments, rolled eyes, and horrendous attitudes. They speak down to you every chance they get. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. ALL of the women, actually scratch that...all of the GIRLS in that facility need to go to a conference for customer service. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE WHAT YOU DO....LEAVE. I am not sure if this is a family owned establishment or a homeless shelter for individual who do not know English and have no home training or manners.
