Best Wester Plaza Hotel Review

I just had to run into the store. The front desk people greeted me as I went in, though.

Be very careful that you aren t given a courtyard room. There is a flaw with the system and no mention of a courtyard room. I didn t even know they had courtyard rooms. No one would willingly choose that option right next to a busy airport. We were eventually given a quiet room which we twice had requested but only after paying an upgrade. Our room was great but the confusion was one last thing we had to deal with. In addition, the restaurant was closed and our walking choice was McDonald s or IHOP, which was awful. We were only staying one night and leaving early the next morning so we had no care. The hotel should have notified guests about the restaurant problem. On the positive side, the customer service people were really good and the shuttle was great.

the reception desk was wonderful, the front desk clerk was very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful.(wish i got his name). only complaint keys did not work, had to wait for maintence to come fix the door, then ac was working well and t.v had to be replaced wasnt working right! waited for 30 minutes for them to come and fix problem e calls to front desk warm hotel room. either than that room was nice and clean, beds were fantastically comfortable. great amenities , free shuttle to the airport and nearby hotel for dinner. would definitely stay again.

The add says "parking", what it doesn't say it costs 30.00 a night! Feel like a like its a bit dishonest. Otherwise the place is close to the airport and has "free" (for real) shuttle to the airport.

It was a place to stay. Very loud because of street noise.

Went to visit a friend staying there. The rooms were clean, the pool was nice & dinner was great with big portions at a reasonable price. :)

It's a nice hotel. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are large and clean. The only problem is the noise for H1 at 530 am. It could wake the dead. I found myself up 3 hours before I wanted to be woken.

I stay in room 813.. Mercy was my room attendant.. She was very sweat and nice and made sure my room was cleaned every day i been here..

beautiful hotel, very accommodating, they always make sure your stay is happy and comfortable, like a hotel should great environment plus garage for parking which makes you feel a little more safe about leaving your car. Also the food great food I recommend the chicken carbonara. The wait staff is also very nice and very helpful so if your looking for a place to stay after getting off the plane definitely go here

Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. But loud traffic noise from the freeway nearby. Not within walking distance of much worth seeing, but close to the airport. Decent view, but no balcony.

An awesome hotel that is next to the airport...breakfast is not that good, but we would stay here again if we were to visit Oahu, HI again!

Highly recommended. A Best Western that is clean, close to the Honolulu airport and provides on time shuttle service to/from the airport. Caution. The signage at the Honolulu airport is terrible. You may have a hard time getting around.

Stayed here for one night untill we checked into our resort for the rest of our trip. It was a little older, but well taken care of. I would stay here again if I needed to. The room was very clean and had everything that we needed. The continental breakfast here is awesome. They have a good variety of food to choose from and it is pretty good. The fanciest Best Western I have ever stayed at.

The hotel is fine, it's the location that is dreary. Highway overhead sounds like a raceway. It's an okay location to get to most places, but a depressing view and loud highway noise. I stayed their to save a few bucks. Will likely not stay there again just because of the location.

Great place to stay for tla! Housekeeping is off the chain! Can't play ps4 on the tv though; they block the inputs.

So noisy from the street and air conditioning old and loud. Don't stay here if you want a good night sleep

We had a great stay here for our overnight prior to heading to Kauai. Friendly and professional staff; clean room; good breakfaat; good shuttle service.

Hotel served the purpose and the price was right. Rooms were very clean. The hallway was dated but the room was clean. For the price and location, the hotel is fine. It's remote to activity but that's because it's near the airport.

Staff is very friendly, plus convenient location to travel all over the island without getting stuck in the Honolulu traffic every time! You do need to learn to exit onto Nimitz Hwy instead of following signs to the Airport to prevent circling around to get to the Hotel.

Excellent service from the front desk staff and comfortable room. Very convenient location. I will be happy to stay again in the future.

Decent hotel...fairly priced...noisy next to the freeway

Very close to the airport. Free shuttle. 10 minute Uber too Waikiki. Clean sheets. AC unit can get very cold if you like that! Breakfast downstairs was great! Reasonable prices, but you are in Hawaii where prices are higher than usual.

Very clean, free breakfast for guests, VERY nice laundry room, and convenient for where I needed to get to during my stay. Several chain restaurants within walking distance. Will stay again in the future.

Very close to the airport and the military bases, good for skipping traffic. Can be hard to sleep because the highway is very loud. Many cockroaches in room. Pretty sure an employee was coming into my room to watch porn while I was gone, so that's not stellar; maybe avoid if you're a single female traveling alone.

Cost effective. Kind and friendly. Good to stay in the arrivind and departing.

Staff wuz excellent, they checked on us & made sure that we received everything that we requested/asked 4. Restaurant area wuz awesum!!! We had towards da back, wuz a great place cause it wuz like a private room, not 2 much traffic or inruption from da public.

Went to work on Oahu. Has a small store. Breakfast is good.

Nice rooms,friendly employees....mostly. The food is amazing,although pretty pricey for a hotel restaurant. Favorite server ever is James. He's amazing. We're moving here and I will go back to that restaurant and spend way too much money just to have his good company for a while.

Customer service was great. Food was delicious, although need more variety of it especially need the servers to serve food out asap because I had to wait for the pastry for over 5 minutes.

everything from the staff to the room set up and level of cleanliness demonstrated a high standard of professionalism and comfort to the customer in my opinion.

Location of hotel near airport was excellent. Access to sights from hotel via car very good. Comfort of rooms and assistance by staff very good.

Bathroom tub does not drain well, which I have zero tolerance for. Windows not sealed well, meaning tons of traffic noise punch through from nearby highway. Perhaps other rooms are not as bad, but mine deserves this rating for the price point.

So I stayed a night before leaving for Tahiti the next day. If your looking for an inexpensive place for a night or two depending on your schedule this is a cheap and friendly place for a good price. The room was clean and the location is very close to the airport and next to a 24 hour gas station, a McDonald s and a Starbucks I believe. When we landed the free shuttle pickup us up and runs every half hour on the hour during the daytime. Not bad for the money. Would stay again on a layover.

Family oriented, food was great, shuttle to and from airport, shopping area and local route to wikiki and excessable to bus and tourist attraction.

Lots of plusses. Nice sized room and the plaza diner makes great food with good portions. The plumbing and traffic noise are the only downsides.

Outside of the over-pricing of hotels in Hawaii even with the kamaina rates, this for me is the only discrepancy. Kamaina/military should be...wait for it...CHEAP!!! I paid almost $300 for that one night. Had the staff not been so nice this review might have been something much different. Thank you again to Beau, Chris and funny wifi lady (you know who you are)!

The room was in great need of updating. It was fine for a one night stay to catch an early flight. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly.

There is a weird smell in the bathroom. We purchased air freashner just to survive. Bathtub could be so much more cleaner I shower with flip flops on.

Rooms are decent and staff is friendly. If you don't mind the sound of highway traffic, then this place is good to catch some Z's at a decent rate.

Loud, as it's on the highway and the windows aren't insulated. Parking is difficult and the gate was broken both days I was there. But McDonald's is within walking distance, so there's that.

Service, rooms, and location all fine, but the food will purdue a little better

We went here to eat near the airport. Server sat the 2 of us, then sat a table of 6 practically on top of us while the rest of the restaurant had only 2 other tables in use. Their food offerings were very limited. They offered several bread bowls, however they were filled with pasta, and the side was garlic bread -- how many carbs does one meal need? We had salad, which was the quality of MacDonalds. The setting had an open ceiling with sky lights that they could have done so much with, but as they did nothing with, it added nothing to the dining experience. PLEASE offer a more varied menu, and not pasta dishes in bread, with bread on the side.

Very nice stay and food at the restaurant was great. Only problem is that it sits so close to freeway that it can be incredibly noisy. Suggest staying at the back of the building. Will stay there again.

One of the Best, Best Westerns I ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was included and great! Clean rooms, nice pool. Security was a little rude but overall a great experience.

The bed was comfortable, having a mimi refrigerator and microwave in the room was great. But for the price! I think having a breakfast included, would have been nice.

Bed is okay. AC is not sufficient and location sucks. They do not provide enough towels or coffee even after complaints at the desk. Definitely would not stay here if not booked here by my work

The worst hotel I have ever stay at. The staff does not know what they are doing. They kept telling me it was my check out day when I still had another week. Horrible food. Found nasty condom wrappers in my room. My tv didn't work. Very loud next to 3 highways. The staff asked very personal questions every time I had to talk to them. I would not stay here and it's not very cheap either I could get another hotel for cheaper and it would be way better.

Loud freeway noise. Trashy clientele. Homeless on street. Convenient to airport. Industrial area. No services, stores, or restaurants other than small shop and restaurant on site. Restaurant not open for lunch. Dinner only some nights.

Door to room faces highway (3 levels of traffic). Nightstand had earplugs. Matress was pretty beat up. I wasnt in the main building which is probably better. Place was clean. Staff friendly, and breakfast solid. Couldnt decide between 2 or 3 stars cause constant traffic was killer.

The airport shuttle was great staff friendly but the traffic noise was horrendous it didn't stop all night got no sleep and to top it all off the air conditioner was also very noisy. Would not stay here again

Way too expensive for what you get. No free breakfast. Ugly location. Old rooms. There are better options for the money... This happened to be an emergency. Note that taxes will add another $30 to the ridiculously high rates.

I would give it a three based off of the worn appearance, but it is a business hotel, not a luxurious vacation hotel, so it suffices. Very friendly staff. Facilities are clean. Less than one mile from the airport and it has an enterprise key drop.

If you want to be near the airport with a free shuttle to the terminal, it is a reasonable option. Very limited walkable food options, really no bar options, and no charm in the area, but it serves its obvious purpose well.

Good hotel for the price. Prolonged stays are a little annoying with parking. And I've waisted way to much time waiting on the elevator

The rooms are nice they have a good shop with fair prices and a good restaurant with good food and a nice pool

Got put here because of a cancelled flight. Food sucked.

CON:Not worth the money. Old hotel and it shows in the rooms. Very noisy due old windows that don't block the noise from the highway next to the hotel. As for a room away from the highway. Pool nice and okay. Gym very small and so, so.

Pro: Has small fridge, small microwave and coffee maker.

Despite being close to a noisy highway, I give four stars for their customer service, very friendly and if you go to the restaurant ask to be seated in James section he is the best waiter I have ever had, he went out of his way to make us feel at home.
