Awesome place to go! Tons of cool stuff for the kids to do. I recommend getting the annual pass we have it and you could go on living at times even for all the special events. Highly recommend for family with kids.

Too expensive if a large group goes. And you have to pre purchase tickets online before going and arrive at certain time etc didnt get to see anything we left because it was 10+ of us. Too much money. Still had to pay parking even though only was there 10mins
It was convenient to park at the garage under the museum. The museum is clean and tidy. It is not as young-child friendly as I expected as there are open metal 2 story stair cases that you have to be very diligent about if you have young kids. However, they are very accommodating for nursing mothers and there were benches throughout. The exhibits were neat but my kids are on the younger side and were not able to be as engaged as older kids. I would say it was a fun experience but might not be worth the money if your kids are under 5. We will definitely be back once our little ones are a few years older.
My nephew was all over the place! He absolutely loved it we went over the weekend and it wasnt that busy so he was able to get the effect! Def would come back with him! I will say they have a parking garage idk if you have to pay.
Great place for kids and adults. Every exhibit is interactive. It all adds up to a pricey day--parking, admission, and food. Next time I will leave food in a locker on the main floor and explore other options for parking.
Parking and layout is terrible. Exhibits are the same as when it first opened. I'm a member. I've been there once this year and don't plan on going back. I have two kids (4 and 6) who love to learn, whom were bored to tears.
Great place to take the kids. The water play area is especially popular with my Preschoolers. It is on the first floor and gives an opportunity for their clothes to dry (even using the smocks that are there they somehow get wet).
Very good and interesting although it is focused on children I can say that today I learned something new. My children enjoy it very much. For me it is a great option to go out in the cold winter. Because three children in a house taught ... it's a lot of stress.
Nice place, can get busy when schools or boy scouts or large young kid groups come through, but still enjoyable as an adult as well. I recommend the real bodies exhibit, it ends in june!
The connecticut science center has become one of my kids favorite destinations. We spent great time there on every visit. I just think they should include the butterfly effect experience in the visit instead of the separate charge. Very educational experience for the children because every time they learn something new.
It really is not worth what it costs almost 30 dlls per person and there are not many things to explore for children ,is truly a robbery !!for what they have exposed, for what they charge the building is nice but I think it is not very worth it .. The staff no longer allowed my 6-year-old daughter to play 20 minutes before they closed in an area that is for children ... I do not recommend .What I loved is that it has a very good view from the 6 floor and I was able to take photos.
Brought three kids of various ages, and all three found enough interesting exhibits to occupy them for four hours. Field trip day is not a good day for a visit though. You may need to check first. Parking is not free, but is reasonable in the area
Love taking my grandkids here... they enjoy it year after year... sadly to say how disappointing they are because not be able to go weekends and school break due to Covid-19, but I'm wondering if Ct Science Center going to extend or credit those of Us whom have Membership Passes. Thank you much.
We loved it so much that we got a membership. Great for our almost 5 year old and his inquisitive mind. Plenty to keep our 2 year old busy too. Wear water clothes (or bring a change) if you plan to do the water play on the 1st floor. We made that mistake the 1st time! Easy to get on and off the highway
Only three stars because I was told there was a dinosaur exhibit when booking my son's Jurassic World themed birthday party. Only to be told on the day of the party that exhibit was taken down last summer. I was very disapponted but my son and his friends had a fantastic time so, I guess that's all that mattered.
This place can easily vassilate between 2 and 5 stars based on crowds. You couldn't pay me to go on a rainy Saturday but if you can get there with your kid on a quiet weekday its great. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They do a really good job of keeping the place tidy and the exhibits ready to use unless there is an onslaught of kids.
The exhibits touch on a wide range of scientific fields and worked to engage at all learning levels and types. In addition, the art, large sculptures of aeronautical vehicles, was beautiful and educational. Even the gift shop worked to engage the visitors with lots of product that tied to the exhibits.
Recently went here on a group fieldtrip & it wasn't worth the money we paid (even with a group rate). When it was time to have lunch in their little lunch room, we had 3 supervisors sitting in the room watching us the whole time. We were given 20-25 minutes to pass out the children's lunches, sit down, eat & clean up. We all felt like we were rushed to eat. Upon entering, there were staff that acted like they didn't want to be bothered with & was just rude when one of the adults asked questions. Then while walking through the place, there were other groups of kids running around, jumping over things, yelling loudly & not giving other kids a turn to try things out, One kid from the group actually pushed a child from our group just to get in front to go first. We looked around, but couldn't find any adult chaperone anywhere. We couldn't even find staff members to bring this to their attention. Overall, I nor the rest of our staff was unhappy with this fieldtrip.
Staff were great, very welcoming, place was very clean, social distancing was in practice, had hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes everywhere, my son had lots of fun!
My family has been members of the science center for years. We go a few time a year and the occasional special event. I highly recommend becoming a member as you get a number of financial benefits and because they are always changing things around there is always more to see.
Lots to do and explore. We love the hand on experience and how the exhibits change so you can never get bored. Too bad pricing is so high or we would come not often. Over $30 a ticket plus $7 for a movie ticket plus more if you want to do the special features exhibit (currently the butterfly exhibit). Even food is pricey with Froyo featuring a small ice cream at over $5. Also, you have to pay parking. Really must plan on getting there early and spending the day, bring your own food if you are on a budget. Otherwise they have a Subway and pizza and other food items to purchase.
