I got a job offer to begin mid July and Connect for Health only allows you to cancel policies at month's end. So after losing my job, having to pay my own healthcare, and choosing whether to go uncovered for 10 days during a pandemic OR write a check for 31 days of coverage for the 10 days I need it is utter BS. Kicking People While They Are Down is a more apt name.

Called 2 months ago to talk about insurance. The rep I was on the phone with was not knowledgeable about the insurance company he claimed would cover everything, including my birth control medication. Upon looking up the actual policy, the insurance offered would NOT pay for my birth control and a few other essential medications that I need. After I told the rep I would not be purchasing the insurance offered the tone in his voice changed IMMEDIATELY. He got very dismissive and agitated at the fact that I wasn t going to pay or go with the insurance company he suggested. He borderline tried to bully me into purchasing the insurance by saying if you sign up later and not now your premium prices will be higher, this offer only lasts today . I ended up with hanging up the phone since he seemed like he couldn t comprehend no means no. Very rude reps that only care about making a sale. Your better off going online than talking to incompetent staff at connect. Beware.

Oh and if you give them your phone number online to call you, be prepared to receive 20 phone calls in less than 10 minutes. Expect to get hung up on more than twice AND to be sent to multiple departments before they get you to the ACTUAL department you need.

This place is a nightmare. You can sign up for insurance but until the insurance company receives your enrollment you can't USE your insurance! I signed up for 2021 insurance in December. Connect never sent my information to Bright Health so technically I have no insurance I can use. It is now January 8th and nothing has been changed after dozens of phone calls and complaints even to the state. It is horrible that a state agency can operate with literally no oversight. If you don't need a tax credit do NOT sign up through connect. Do a search for prices on their site then CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY DIRECTLY. Their prices are cheaper and you will actually HAVE INSURANCE!

UPDATE: I want to advise anyone who has had terrible problems with Connect to WRITE YOU LOCAL STATE SENATOR. Do a search for "find my local representatives", input your address, and it will bring up your district's state senator and representative. After getting nowhere for almost a month, I wrote my local senator about my issues. Miraculously a higher-up at Connect contacted me and personally resolved my issues. Within 2 days I had my membership number, paid my bill, and could actually use my insurance that should have started January 1. If more people did this perhaps Connect will have some changes.

This company is a joke. First they messed up my enrollment date, then gave me inaccurate information, then accidentally took me off my policy and 3 months later it STILL isn't fixed. They keep claiming they are fixing it, but they never do. Whenever I check back the status is always the same on the "progress". When I call in the call inevitably drops, everytime. They claim to try to call me back (in their call notes) but I never get any such call.

I called to cancel my insurance plan in January because I was able to access health insurance through my employer. The employee that took the cancellation call did not enter it correctly and I was charge my premium amount. I have been call CFHC every Friday since 02.01.21 to get my refund back. I have been told different information by each person that answers the phone. I have asked to speak to a supervisor several times and have been told the supervisor has declined to speak to me. I am STILL trying to get my over $300.00 back. It is disappointment to have supported a program and system only to realize CFHC takes no responsibility for their lack of response and passes ownership of the issue to everyone else.

One of the worst experiences of my life. I have been trying to cancel my Policy for 2 months (still being billed), all I get is attitude and little information from the Support staff. If possible I would avoid using ConnectforHealh at ALL cost, use a private Broker.

THEY DO NOT CANCEL FOR NON PAYMENT!!!

THEY DO NOT CANCEL FOR NON PAYMENT!!!
We are just now being told, 1 yr later, that we owe money for last years premiums although we hadn't payed since January 2020. They will continue to charge you unless you physically cancel, which looks to be a hassle as well from the comments. The hospital we gave birth at told us when we signed the paperwork for government assistance that our marketplace insurance would cancel, so don't trust Swedish Hospital either because that never happened. We didn't even use the marketplace insurance, which we would have if we knew we were just being charged anyway. Never received a mailed notice, call or voice-mail about non payment or the fact we still had insurance. Just tax forms after the fact showing we now owe money.

Absolutely terrible customer service! I tried to get some questions answered about the different health plans and terminology, and the person could not answer a single question without asking a colleague. I left the phone call without a single question answered. No wonder their overall rating is 2.2. Not professional, not responsive, not knowledgeable, and unhelpful are just a few words to describe this organization.
