Great pancakes! The seats in the booth we were seated in were a bit tore up, though. The place will need a good renovation pretty soon.

The new owners are very rude to customers and so are the wait staff not keeping up on maintaining the seating area even argue intensely with customers don't allow you to substitute anymore either the place use to.be packed but not now can't wait till they sell the place so I could go back

Food was hot and delicious as usual! Jessica our server was a pure delight, very friendly and professional!!

Not best service , no drink refills the whole time as girls sat back there and talked.. breakfast felt like it was not freshly made nor hot served..no fresh sweet brewed sweet tea..I was dissapointed..will not return or recommend .

Went here for the 1st time (Sat, labor day weekend @ 2:30pm or so), we were seated immediately and our waitress, Jackie was the absolute best, so nice and attentive. Food was delicious, no complaints :)

Waitress was great. Sticky tables and items still listed on menu were not in house. Filling but not hard to make eggs and toast.

Known for their breakfast, pancakes and omelettes it is always busy with friendly service I would not recommend the tuna melt , it was my mistake to have a sandwich rather than an omelette. Never again it was the worse tuna melt , I could not eat it . However that does not mean the food or service is bad , just means don't order the tuna melt.

Variety is not the best, but after all, this is a pancake house, and all they do is pancakes and eggs. Service is okay the entire place is served by two waitresses, in my opinion, it is not enough. Parking is a bit confusing as you have to drive through to the back where you could park, spots are very narrow.

Best breakfast place in Pennsylvania! I m from New York and I always try my best to visit when in town. The staff is super friendly, even when they re busy, they try their hardest to seat you quickly and comfortably. The food is always great and just such a welcoming & joyful vibe

Place has been slowly going bad, food is ok but not worth the staff's terrible attitude and rudeness. Not to mention, they talk loud amongst ewch other using profanity in spanish. Not the type of environment you want for your family. There are SO MUCH OTHER CHOICES IN THE POCONOS!!

Going down Route 80 this fine diner style establishment came up highly rated. It was just off the highway easy on easy off. Very busy but lots of help. We had breakfast: latka's (most tasty), eggs over medium, delicious pancakes with fresh scrambled eggs, and very delicious link sausage. All soooo good and nice portions. Good service; good coffee (kept full). Prices very good. We'll stop again when in the area. Try it..... you're gonna like it, too!

The food service is amazing. The staff is lovely. And the food is fantastic!

The food was absolutely amazing. I expected bland diner food but was amazingly surprised with the amount of color in every dish. I had an omelette that was seasoned so well. And my friend had a potato pancake that was one of the best I ever had. Our server was such a sweet woman and she brought all our food out so quickly. It seemed busy but they always had room for another family. Good job Compton's

I've been coming to Compton's for years now and I never get tired of it. The food is amazing and the prices are really good. You can easily get a drink and absolutely stuff yourself for less than 10 dollars. The service is always fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relatively quick meal, especially for breakfast food.

Did not like this place. Coffee was definitely not fresh. I had pancakes that tasted like vanilla cake and they do NOT have butter. They serve their own blend of margarine that they make. It tasted like whipped Vaseline. The service was good. Waitress was very nice. But I want good food and butter

Good food. We had the stuffed garden omelette, home fries, onion rings, French toast and the caramel cheesecake pancakes, all of it was delicious. The homemade hot sauce was tasty too.

Very different from what I've become accustomed to regarding the reputation of Compton's. Many items on the already limited menu are not available. It also seems as though these unprecedented times have taken a toll on Compton's friendly demeanor. He has however invested in an area equipped for outdoor dining and he continues to be a well recognized face among the place. We'll see what the future holds.

Great food and although it was pretty busy our waiter still managed to check on us and bring whatever we needed in a timely fashion. Thank you Deena for an awesome experience.

We moved to PA about 5 years ago and one of my laments was that there was no IHOP in driving distance. I finally tried Compton's and I can say it is an admirable substitute.

The portions may be a tad smaller than an IHOP but the quality is excellent.
I enjoyed a country omlette with pancakes on the side and my wife had Belgian waffles with scrambled eggs with cheese. Delish!
We both had coffee and my wife had a large glass if OJ.
Our server was perfect. She was friendly but not intrusive.
Our bill was only $28. You can spend more than that at a McDonald's.
I highly recommend Compton's to anyone. We will definitely be back.
Oh.. and I noticed they had a senior menu for those 60+. Probably smaller portions and an even lower price.

Went there for an early morning breakfast on Father's Day. Service was very slow. They only had one waitress when we got there, but there was only two customers in the place. More waitresses and a bus boy showed up awhile later. Once the food finally came, the home fries tasted like dirty dish water. I tried to cover up the nasty taste with ketchup and that didn't even work. Pancakes were good and the creative outside dining atmosphere was nice. Priced extremely high for breakfast. Won't be going back.

The food is great but the take out service needs to be well organized. I understand that due to the pandemic most restaurants and businesses had to improvised by adapting to changes . I went in and was told to place my take out order by calling the number on the disposal menu which I did from from car parked outside . Before heading out I asked them where do I pick up my order and how would I know it is ready. I was told that someone will come out and wave at me. After waiting 30 minutes I realized that something was wrong so I went in and a server asked me what was my order I told her I was waiting and no one came out and my order was as sitting there. She apologized but saying i was giving the wrong information and I was to check 15 after placing the order . I check the order to see if it was still hot she responded that everything was there. I paid cash , she kept the received . As I got home and abs verified the content of my order I was ONE order short ( extra Short Slack of 3 pancakes ) . I love 10 miles away and wasn t driving back. Other than that the food is great.

Service is great but the way the workers and servers are yelled at and treated by owners or management is disgraceful feel sorry for you guys no excuse for anyone to be talked to like that and even thoe the food and service was good i cant stand people being mistreated

Coffee, not so well done, perhaps toilet water. The pancakes were decent enough and the eggs were pretty good. Overall the hot chocolate also tasted a little funky, but it s ok. Waitress can NOT handle feedback, aggressively told us to wait for our food when we politely asked for better coffee. I m an 11 year old, and even I understood how disgraceful her attitude was. Please try getting better and superior staff who can receive comments better. Also, the forks and spoons were sketchy and looked dirty but we still used them, we also had asked for plastic ones and we never received them. There was also an eyelash in the double triple pick which was also something that disgusted us. Overall please try benefiting your restaurant/diner.

They had a massive amount of fruit flies around the booth I was sitting at. I didn't eat, I was disgusted

Just left this pancake house after very rudely being asked to have my part of 5 leave. I arrived at 830 to get a table knowing this place can get busy. I was seated right away but told our waitress I was expecting the rest of the party around 9. I ordered a hot drink and chatted with the waitress and explained the party was getting together to spend time with a co-worker that was having a rough time. The party arrived and we ordered about 930. The food arrived about 10 but in 2 servings so not everyone received their order at the same time. Before we could finish our meal the waitress came back with to go boxes and our bill. We continued to eat and chat till the owner's wife came at 1050 and told us we were taking up space and needed to leave. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We ordered 5 full breakfasts, drinks and may have ordered a dessert if we were not handed our check so quickly after our food arriving. We were screamed at as the owner made a scene in front of the whole place. I would have gladly paid a little extra for use of the table to compensate them for their time, and I did nicely take care of the waitress who was losing other orders. I for one will never return to this location. Please consider Triplets Dinner, Perkins or Friendly's all of which are just as easy to get to from the highway if you are passing by. Staff much nicer and pricing is just as good on full meals. 2 stars given for the compassion of the waitress when we explained why we were there only.

Excellent food. Really popular place so expect a wait to be seated. Once seated the wait for food wasn't very long. Food quality was good and the server was quite attentive.

This place has gone downhill. If i could give it less than one star i would.It used to be a great place to get breakfast. The servers there are very rude n unprofessional. I waited on the phone for almost ten minutes listening to background kitchen noise and talking. Then when saying forget it and going there in person thinking it was just busy, was told could not oder inside even while wearing a mask.Everytime we order from here the order is wrong entirely even After waiting 40 minutes for the food to be made, I would expect better accuracy. The place was not high in volume with customers either. The amount of money that was paid for the breakfast was not worth the hassle or quality of our meal.hope this helps someone who is expecting a good breakfast experience. I would suggest any other place than here.

Double triple play is to die for. The pancakes here are the best.
