Service is very nice and the building is tucked away in a quaint spot in town. The food was very good. They have a great 4 dollar special where u get pancakes meat eggs and homefries all for four bucks. They also make very good scrambled eggs

It is a quite big place and was totally full on Sunday morning. Food was good and service was quick. Reasonable price. I tried Garden omelet, which was tasty.

I love Compton's Pancake House!! Honestly the atmosphere is very laid-back and relaxed, all them employees are extremely friendly always with a smile on . The good music selection is great. The food is so delicious I've been to a few of the other restaurants in the neighborhood as far as like diners and stuff and I would say that by far I'm sticking with Compton's Pancake House.

I visit Pennsylvania and my family six or seven times a year and this has always been my go-to place until now. Every time I go to service gets progressively worse. The girls in the front are very rude and nasty when you walk in they don't even acknowledge you. Once you do get their attention they're very abrupt and do not try to help you or accommodate you in anyway. I went in and asked for outdoor seating and was told nope not until 10 and then she turned around and walked away. Didn't even ask me if I wanted to do take out or if I wanted to come back. This has happened several times otherwise I would have ignored a one-time attitude problem. The food is good but when you take it out they often mix up the orders and one time there was an ant in my food. I would no longer recommend them because of the service.

Went to Compton's asked for a cup of decaf coffee. Received a cup of decaf with a surprise a lipstick mark on coffee cup that was not mine. Be careful people with covid19 they should be sanitizing and washing their utensils and dishes thoroughly. The food is really good though.

Great food and friendly staff. Portions are decent but could be a little better. Coffee was a bit water down but overall our table of 7 had a very good experience.

I've eaten here several times, the food has always been 3 or 4 out of 5 stars, the service excellent. But I decided to try the chicken and waffles today. Now I'm a NYC transplant and anyone that's ever eaten C&W knows Harlem's Wells Restaurant and Sylvia's (before the tourist) had the best in the city.. Saying that..all I can say is WOW!!!! THOSE C&Ws was DELICIOSO!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR BRINGING ME BACK TO GREAT MEMORIES AND EVEN BETTER TASTES. It's good to know where I can get a taste of home 200 miles away.

Beautiful dining area, clean, modern, friendly staff, seated promptly with a mom and 4 kids! Lots of seats. Breakfast was delicious! Waffles, pancakes, bacon, omlets, done perfect! Definitely a place to eat at.

Breakfast is good! You get a lot of food and it is very affordable. Service was good. We also did not feel rushed at all.

Comptons is an excellent Diner located in Stroudsburg for breakfast and lunch. They close at 4 PM. Great specials like the Double Triple Play and a seniors menu as well.

Found a blond hair in my food and the Latin older female manager made a joke of the situation in front of the guest and the staff. Saying "it could of been from my guest!!" and to be happy I got 3.89 off of an total 18 dollar bill, almost excusing us; a short black hair male and brunette female of placing the hair there. I am beyond offended... I always patronized this business, it was my go to spot. but from this experience, my friends and I will never be come back. So disappointed, with the lack of maturity, professionalism and respect displayed today. I will be alerting the department of health.

If I can give them more stars I would! This place is AMAZING!!!!! My man, my brother and I are addicted to Comptons Lol! I'm a vegetarian so I love the garden stuffed omelette as well as their signature pancakes! The N.Y. Cheesecake pancakes and cheesecake caramel pancakes are phenomenal! The hot chocolate with whipped cream is also amazing! My man loved the cheesteak omelette that's his favorite! Recommended to any and everyone

I have never seen a wider selection of pancakes! They have weekday deals and ads with coupons in the local guide books. Classic diner.

All the employees know all the customers who in turn all know one another.

Pretty great pancakes with good service pricess are high.... Be aware of groups of 5+ they automatically add 18% top to your bill no matter what kind of service you get.... We had a good server but only one refill of coffee and one of us never got a water then to add the automatic tip is pretty pretentious

The food was really delicious. I loved their homefries and their Compton Famous Omelette. The staff was really nice and the location was clean. No complaints.

Decent diner. Service was pretty good, but felt rushed. To be honest, the best part about this place was the home made hot sauce. It was so good that we had to buy a few bottles for the drive home =)

First time I've ever been there. I've heard nothing but good things. However I have nothing good to say. Basic food, basic service and the place was as clean as a very old building could be.

Good food, good service. College student discount and daily breakfast specials. Crowded on weekends but well worth the short wait! Wait staff is friendly and efficient, be sure to tip well for their efforts! It s a small place but they hustle to get everyone happily fed and satisfied.

Loud rude manager, owner whatever he was. Literally screaming at staff on the floor in front of customers. Food took forever to come. All this was enough to never go back

The waiters are some of the rudest people I have encountered . I didn t even get the chance to Order before leaving.

Right from the start it seemed shady with dirty tables and dishes everywhere . As I entered the restaurant I wasn t greeted or seated but told if I could move out of the way.

When I finally sat , I was than told by another waiter to get up for a new family that entered !!! This happened twice for new people heading in, while I was seated . When I finally reacted , I was cursed at. Idk If they prefer certain people over others ? Stay away. Place is run down. Seats were ripped. You ll get sick and possibly hurt
