Community Foodbank of NJ Review

I was informed to volunteer for this community food service back in 2012. I went there and logged a few hours. What I saw was not what I called, healthy food served to homeless people. It was something I thought you be addressed. To this day I haven't heard any negativity from this community food service. There where several college students volunteering their times as well. I was just over a summer cold and I couldn't stay there no longer.

A great place which strives to serve the people. People who work here depend on volunteers most of the time to do some basic stuffs like packing, categorizing foods, making carton boxes. I volunteered one day which was sponsored by my company. I wish I go here more often.

Amazing place with amazing staff. They help the pantry where I volunteer with food that we could not afford to purchase at retail. They are totally committed to helping make lives better across New Jersey.

I go to the Community Food Bank because I distribute food to the seniors they do help with a lot of meals

It was pretty relaxing but tiring with all the carry but the vibes in the space was positive and I like that.

Two of my daughters graduated from the culinary program at the community food bank. What they do here is tremendous. They prepared them both to take of the role of Chef in the future. The varying outreach programs that the food bank provides meals for adds it trainees with invaluable hands on experience. Can't say enough great things about Chef Paul and his staff there.

Cool spot love with they are doing here for people but I really think the workers here need to get first dibs on the products here before anyone else which they don't and I think that's crazy.

This place is awesome! They service the local community food pantries with food! I came here for help at one time and they gave me a box of food..Fresh vegetables, meats and tons of other great goodies I appreciate the staff at the front desk and the volunteers were excellent!

4 Stars for the mission they lead , the only knock off is the Caucasian man ar the help desk; he showed a very off putting mood towards me and was rather passive aggressive. However, the aim of this food bank is to help other more importantly.

Tough to beat this place. I volunteered here with a group and the workers were so kind and caring. The facilities are HUGE, the work that's done there is outstanding, and everything is kept super clean. I will be going back to volunteer again, even on my own without the group that introduced me to it.

How to teach young people the virtue of generosity? Bring them here.

I volunteer here and it changed my life, this place and all its staff and volunteers are doing amazing things for the community. Everyone is incredibly friendly and the volunteer work is simple but makes a huge difference.

I volunteered today and feels good, we were lucky to meet the NY Giants team there.

I've been here a lot of times to both, donate and purchase items. I love the prices and you never know what you're going to find. Very large space and there's furniture and paintings in the back. Love that the children's books are arranged by grade level. Very nice people, too.

Best place to get food to help the most needy if you have a charity place where you serve soupkitchen or patry, call to get information how to go about it.

I brought a group of high school students to do community service 3x in the past few years. Each time our experience has been very and rewarding. The staff is professional, the process efficient and that short speech about hunger is just enough for students to listen without tuning out. I highly recommend this experience particularly for a family or a group.
