Loved the curved rows with stadium seating. Every seat has a great view of the stage. The sound system and acoustics enhanced the experience. The rows are very long with no center aisle so check your tickets and enter thru the correct door or you'll be walking in front of many seated people. Parking lot 6B is the closest to the building, but it is on a college campus so be prepared to walk a bit to get to it.

Rarely do I do five stars however, this performance by the Bay Orchestra was excellent. There were not many people in attendance but the music choices were tastefully done. Honoring our current armed service members and there families along with veterans was how the program played out. And all done for free.

I use to work at the Stockton Performing Arts
Center as a lighting technician- I was responsible for implementing the professional touring companies lighting design for their shows and running the cues. I very much enjoyed working with the many world famous artists I came in contact with - and was proud of the exceptionally professional shows we staged.

I was very disappointed with the seating they provided for handicaped patrons. I took my student to The Nutcracker ballet, it was her very 1st time at the ballet, she is 18. I paid for handicapped seating, what I got was two crappy folding chairs in the corner left stage with a railing at eye level while the rest of the audience was seated in roomy, comfortable chairs with unobscured views. We had to look under the railing to see the performer's entire body. With all the money that Stockton is throwing around these days you would think that they would be more intune to the needs and service of their disabled patrons. I plan on bringing this up to the Amricans With Disabilities Act and have them look into fixing this problem. Also a letter to your board.
When i mentioned this to the usher his reply was " yeah those seats are really terrible."

the productions here are top notch and very professional like broadway quality shows. The sound, orchestra, and lighting tie the show in nicely.

the theater itself is kinda weird since you look down at the stage. for some reason if i avert my eyes in certain directions i feel dizzy. so it s best to focus on one specific part of the stage.
