Never buy anything from them without checking around! I first want to say thank you for the service I received from Kyle. He was very honest and helpful. I really felt bad walking out on him because he was excellent in customer service. The sales manager was a different story. I knew when she walked in it was going to be bad. I even told her the last time I met the sales manager it did not end well. She told me there was NO way I could get the price I wanted for a Yamaha Kodiak 700 EPS. They would be loosing money. We decided to drive to Honda House to see what they could offer before driving to Fredericksburg. Honda House was awesome, so awesome we ending up buying 2 4 wheelers!! I knew it was going to be a good day because they had their Yamaha 4-wheelers on sale as $500 off the original price. The prices were clearly marked. They gave me the tires, rims, and the 4-wheeler at the price I was willing to pay. I received a winch as a promo from Yamaha which meant I had to pay installation cost. Honda House was $300 for installation compared to Commonwealth Powersports $340 installation cost. This saving me another $40. I plan on returning to Commonwealth Powersports to show my bill of sale which is clearly marked. When the deal was finished, I even told Brian, Honda House salesman, I was sorry he was losing money on my sale and he just chuckled. I never met Honda Houses sales manager. I guess you could look at this as I need to thank them for making me so mad. I went somewhere else and at the end of the day I saved a WHOLE lot of money.

Mike was great! He explained everything and showed Bernard and I the utmost respect with his outstanding customer service! Cindy was awesome as well. She ensured we got the best deal possible and was extremely courteous! We are referring everyone we know here! Thanks Mike and Cindy, Commonwealth PowerSports is lucky to have you two! We will be back!

Buying my first motorcycle has been such a positive experience, Commonwealth Powersports was my last stop, they had a huge selection and I got a chance to compare each bike I was considering. The salesman there, Ben Spalding, was extremely helpful. He wasn t pushy in the least, he only wanted me to end up with the bike I was happy and comfortable with. When I finally decided on purchasing the 2020 Ninja 400, not only was Ben happy for me but a few of the other staff expressed their excitement for me. I finished purchasing the motorcycle two days later and they even delivered it out to my house. The staff members there are just awesome, the way they all share such excitement for new riders made me feel comfortable and welcome. Most of all I am so extremely happy with my new motorcycle, it s gorgeous, fits me perfectly, and my confidence in riding gets better every time I get on it.

Garbage place, I went in to look at a specific Polaris model as I had an offer from a dealer which was 3hrs 44 minutes away- I obviously wasn't super keen on driving such a distance so I popped into this dump in hopes that they could match the deal I had at the other dealer. What a terrible experience! The sales man was nice, I showed him the ad for the other dealer and he went to check with the sales manager: once they got involved it went down hill. The guys basically couldn't match the deal at all so they started down playing the other dealer! & Also mocking the fact I was willing to drive into North Carolina to save $800+ well excuse me for not throwing away my money at some over priced trash hole. Don't go here unless you want to throw away your money for no reason. I will never buy anything from this place. I will drive hours and hours to avoid this place.

Mark in the parts department always gives good service whenever I am looking for parts I have been dealing with him for years back when they were Burchams cycles on the boulevard in colonial heights. I purchased a Victory in 2014 from them they went beyond customer satisfaction to get the price to what I was comfortable paying and prepped so I could pick it up the same day beyond their normal closing hours on a Saturday. Way to go Commonwealth Powersports.

So the service I recieved was great. Got my entire gear for a great price. Parker was amazing and took his time to help me get all the required gear that I needed. I will sure do business again here in the future. EXTREMELY SATISFIED.

I called and verified to see if they had a Yamaha MT09. They verified they did they verify the price we settled on $7800 out the door price. I drive all way up there ready to meet the associate and sign papers and then they informed me they were looking at the wrong bike and it would be $8800. They would not work with the price anymore even though they had a mess up on their end and a buyer ready to buy with cash in hand. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody due to the fact that they are apparently not intelligent enoughTo see the difference between total different bikes.

Absolute worst motorcycle shop I have ever been to...

Absolute worst motorcycle shop I have ever been to and I've been a rider for nearly 10 years and lived all around the country (military). This dealership solely focuses on selling and customer service lacks as a result. When you walk in, things look shiny and new and when you talk to someone, you will quickly figure out that all they want is a commission. They have hardly any parts in stock and the parts/service department acts like they are too busy to really figure out what your problem is and how they can help. The prices for simple work like swapping a tire is ridiculous. I could change a tire with basic tools in my garage in 30 minutes and the shop wants to charge $85 per tire. Get out of here and stop using the fact that you're one of the only shops around to jack up prices.

Inspection and replace rear tire , I don't think the mechanic new what he was doing ,my fender was rubbing the new tire,it was not like that when I gave it to them,I brought it back in, it's still in the shop, wheel bearing bad, I don't think he new what he was doing if you can't tell when a bearing is bad,I was there all day and it will be there into next week until they find a bearing,I hope It didn't do damage to other parts of the motorcycle , I don't think I will be back, hard to find a good mechanic out there, this all happened on the same day 8/10/2019 and find a ride home, very bad day!

My salesman was Gunther Lippert, but your selection does not list him. He did come outside to view my bike and make sure the luggage rack being ordered was the correct one. I haven't gotten the part yet so I can't comment on that part of the service.

I have known Howard for YEARS. Good man, very knowledgeable. And Mike Milano is a superb mechanic that I trust with my Victory. They are a great source of information. That is why I go 90 miles for my service...

Oh sure. I came in to look at a Vaquero and you were almost 4500 more than another dealership. Your employee called me a liar and said the place I was looking at in NC was a scam. They have a A+ rating with the BBB and a 5 star rating on Yelp. All he had to do was say, "we cant match the price", and id be on my way. Instead he was condescending, rude and arrogant. Thats ok, because I know ive purchased more than 30k from when this establishment was burchams. I will no longer purchase anything from you. In fact ive turned so many people onto other dealerships because you guys are priced too high.

Rude sales people. Uninterested in helping my son, and he knew more abt bikes than they did. He's a racer but they would rather stand around talking to each other than to help a customer that didn't look like money. Their loss! We bought somewhere else the same day.

Great parts department team!!!! They have always been able help me and usually have what I need in stock. Excellent serves department as well, my experiences have always been good, on time and fair price. One stop shop for me, every thing I need in one place.

They have an amazing selection of new and used Motorcycles. No pressure sales team, supper helpful. Easy financing, great selection of riding gear. I'm so glad I decided to go there before buying a bike. Got an amazing deal on an amazing bike.

I stood there for about an hour and a half and nobody even came up to me to ask if I needed help. I even reached out to an associate and he just continued to walk. I was really interested in buying a grom. Not from this dealer.

If ZERO stars was an option I would have rated it a ZERO! I scheduled to have some recall work done 3-4 weeks ago and was told it would be no problem getting the work done, that it would be about a week to get the parts and 3 weeks to get an appointment. ok, great right? well my appointment is tomorrow so I called to ask about dropping my machine off to have said work done to it and they said they have no records of me being in the system and no parts were ordered and no appointment had been made. They acted like they didn't know who I was! SO instead of apologizing or trying to make it right like a normal acceptable customer service rep would. They were unapologetic and made absolutely zero effort to correct their mistake. In fact they even went so far to say that they weren't even sure they could get the parts to do the work anymore when clearly Yamaha still sells these parts. I have heard similar cases from people about commonwealth and sadly I have seen it first hand!

I recently purchased my very first motorcycle from Commonwealth Powersports. I purchased a 2017 Suzuki C50T Boulevard. The entire process was a positive one from start to finish. Wasn't even looking for a bike for myself, but was in the right place at the right time. Zach and Mark were extremely helpful in comparing bikes and picking something that was right for me being my first bike. No sales pressure. Answered every question and never tried to steer me wrong. Rocky took the process to a whole other level once we got the ball rolling. Got me a great interest rate on my financing on top of a great price for my bike. He was very patient and extremely helpful in picking out a helmet, gloves, and jacket. Rocky and Mark both stayed past closing to get everything finished up. Excellent customer service from all aspects and from everyone we dealt with.

Huge showroom! I decided to check if CPS had replacement visors for my helmet. Super friendly folks at the parts counter had 2 different options for me to choose from within a minute or so. Their prices, on the visors at least, were about 25% lower than I found online. Great customer service - I found it quite easy to stay and BS with them for about 30 minutes.

I appreciate the concern, frankly I would not single out anyone in particular because I personally very satisfied with what I saw and experienced with you in the store. Services, communications and the environment is laudable. We will continue cooperation. Bo

5 STARS!

5 STARS!

I have been a customer since it was Burcham's. I have worked there as a salesman. I know all aspects of the place. Let me be the first to say. It is a well put together business! Everyone is helpful.

Service department is phenomenal! Part department aswell! If you need anything, Commonwealth can get you fixed up. From sales to service.
I've been messing with our 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500HO efi for about 2 years off and on.
Got frustrated and took it to them. Dropped it off and had it back in a week! Ian is their ATV guru! He is awesome with them!
Our 4wheeler is fast and more reliable than when we bought it 4 years ago!

The salesman Kyle was very pleasant and helpful. I would not refer any of my friends to them. We bought a 2016 Polaris sportsman 6 weeks ago, we have 12 miles on it> the first time we took it back you couldn't get it on gear or out of gear except by forcing it. We have had to take it back to them twice now. After 2 weeks we went to start it an the battery was dead, I called them they told us we needed to keep a charger on it 24/7 because the GPS they put on it was draining the battery. Ok we did this, one day we didn't put it back on charge the battery was dead. After 5 days of it charging on the charger that they gave us,, it still didn't start. They have had it again for a week, I was told by them that it was operator error. Really!!!! Like we don't know how to start it, what does that have to do with a DEAD battery. The customers service there sucks. Everyone tells you they will call you back and no one calls you back. We took it in last Thursday and 6 days later still haven't heard from anyone there. Look elsewhere to purchase something. They give you the run around when you do call and ask for information on something. Very very disappointed,

Our first buying experience with Commonwealth Powersports could not have been more positive. Our salesman Parker was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to provide executive style service. We will definitely be returning customers with Commonwealth Powersports!!

When I call the parts counter then 8 out of 10 times I am asked to hold and then half the time I got hung up on and the other half I waited so long I hung up .....if it wasn't for the parts manager I would probably not shop here

If you're looking for a good deal, talk to Parker!! Very informative, straight to the point guy. Purchased a Polaris 4whlr from them, had an " owner's" hickup on Christmas morning & Parker came to the rescue!! Thanks again man for taking the time out of your day off & helping me put the smiles back on the kids . I will be looking forward to Dealing with you & the rest of the staff at Commonwealth on my next purchase.

Neat showroom and big selection, staff was friendly and informative. No pressure. Ask for Devin.
Update: Devin was helpful in working a trade deal that worked for both of us. I bought a Yamaha MT-09. I decided this was the best bang for my buck! Man, was I right! This bike is comfortable and has insain power.

Just got a new bike from these guys, they made it as convenient as possible for me. They stayed late to finish paperwork (Due to my work schedule) they also went as far as bringing the bike to me. I highly recommend making a purchase with these guys. Ask for Mike, he was awesome

This has to be one of the worst sales experience ever! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! We went in to purchase 4 vehicles and thought they would treat us with decent service, started with a very untrained sales kid named Parker who didn t know anything about anything. We didn t want to waste time and took us asking for a manager to talk about numbers. Ryan comes in with ridiculous numbers which were added wrong, after he finally realized his basic math mistake, he fixs it but never even apologized. We agreed to buy 3 of the vehicles after a little bit of negotiation. Now is when the hassle really begins. They keep coming back and forth asking for paperwork which they could ask for all at once. 3 days later and to our surprise, one of the vehicles gets approved but not the other two and they don t even suggest other options. Since I work in sales, I have to ask them why aren t other options being offered yet. Now we are dealing with Sindy, finance manager who asks for more paperwork. We send her an email right after she asks at 10:30am. After not hearing anything back by 4:30pm we call to see if there s a response from the bank. Sindy says: let me check for your email . What a waste of time and poor customer service. It s like they have no desire to sell you anything. We finally decide to head to the showroom one final time in an attempt to make the purchase. We get there by 6:20pm and Sindy had already left even after we told her I was on the way. Parker is busy with another customer so some guy comes to tell us they can t help us at all. So we tell the guy, we already have the approval for 1 of the vehicles and we would like to buy all 3. He tells us he is the owner of the store and doesn t feel comfortable selling it to us. He was racist and discriminated us because we spoke another language and didn t think we had any money to begin with. We could buy all 3 vehicles cash but wanted to establish more credit. Such a waste of time and we have never been so humiliated before after 30 years living in the US.

Came from Ft. Bragg heading toward Ct. On possibly the longest chain ever. BB 175 at the service desk was kind enough to look for someone to hop on it immediately to get me headed the right direction with a new chain. A special thank you to the tech who delayed lunch to square me away asap.

Service department is slow ordering parts from here are typical but the service and parts deparment do not talk unless you check up on them my bike has been sitting there for two weeks parts came in a week and still have yet to put them on not the worst shop but by far the slowest

If you buy from them and have your bike or 4wheeler serviced by them make sure you ask price each time you go for service cause my first service on my new 4wheeler was $277.oo my second service was $700 and something I complained reduced price to $548. 4 hours to service it was $400 dollars for maintenance fee. It don't cost that much to service a truck or car.

The parts department our great! Very knowledgeable and will let you know if additional parts are needed! Order straight from the manufacturer, so you know the part will fit and work. The service department are as equally great. Will answer any questions with out any fluff or B.S. The bikes they do have are a little over priced, but businesses need to make money as well to thrive in this economy! If you got some spending cash this is a great place to start. Been in the military for over 11 years and this has been one of the better establishments dealing with motorcycles as well as people. Thanks a ton Powersports!

One thing I can tell you about the place is that they were rude nobody created me when I came in nobody asked me if I needed help I went on my own, this is was going to be my first bike and I wanted to make it a nice experience in this case it wasn't going to be. I asked the lady that was at front about a motorcycle what is the price of the Ninja 650? And she said let me look it up, then she said it'll be 7,999 and then I said well would guys lower the price so I can but it today and what will be the out the door price? And she responded well tags taxes and freight and other fees..... Add another 1500 on too of that and that'll be your out the door price let's go and fill out a credit application. As soon as she said that I wanted to get out of there extremely pushy so I said well that's not what I said and what I said was can you lower the price of the motorcycle? And she said no that's the price and I was like okay and I left, then I left and I went to a different dealership that was about 1 hour away the experience was totally different I was greeted they offered me help and put some amazing number and helped me with everything I needed while I was there. So definitely I do not recommend this place at all please take your business somewhere if you can trust me it'll be worth the drive anywhere else but this place.

Commonwealth Powersports was good. I have 2 Victory's, a Honda and a Harley. I tried finding a shop in Richmond but could not. A few years ago I wanted a tire change and the shortest time was Richmond Honda on 250. They were saying it would be at least 6 months (I ride all year that's not acceptable). Powersports said it would be 2 hours. Since then I have used them many times and have never been unsatisfied. Thanks.

Recently bought a 2010 ultra classic from Kyle Gabster. I bought this bike without seeing it or driving it in person. I had to completely rely and trust Kyle to be straight up and honest. Kyle sent me pictures and videos of the bike. Pictures and videos told most of the story on the bike.

Pros and cons....
Pros: Kyle is honest and trustworthy. Seems to work hard to get you the deal that you want.
Cons: dealership needs to get better with paperwork and e-signature s.

Although a couple little things I found out when the bike arrived via transport, overall, this is been a good experience with the dealership and with Kyle.

Classic bait and switch. I walked in to purchase a four wheeler for my granddaughter with cash. Sticker said $2100 by the time they were finished with all the extra fees the price went up 50%+ ($3250)! What a disappointment!

Stopped on friday late afternoon to help a couple of Harley riders wish a flat tire. We loaded the like with flat into bed of truck and I drove them to the local Harley dealer. Got there about 4:15 pm. The Service manager looked at his watch and said can't help till Monday. We left there and wnt to Colonial Motor Sports. Wallked in and service manager was back in shop area. I got his attention and told him had a guy with flat tire on a Harley. I noticed him look at clock (now 4:30) and a grimis on his face, knowing he was not going to get off at 5. He said bring it in lets get it fixed. The difference in the two shops made me a fan of colonial motor sports

Came in years ago after leaving the Harley Davidson shop across the street and was looking around. Sales lady came up we were talking and told i really wanted a hd but was debating the hyabusa. She tells me to hold on and goes in the back a minute later she returns and takes me in the back to show me a Harley that had come in not long ago and I tell you it was love at first sight. We got the paperwork started and finished in a day even had a cool tech help us get it loaded up since I didn't have a license at the time. I hope to do a lot more business with them in the future.
