Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 Review

Great ambience. Quite a self-sufficient colony. They have tried to make it green while keeping the aesthetic. Alas nothing will be able to abate the smog though.

These apartments are simply heaven in the heart of Delhi. I visited a friends flat which is alloted to his father as a DDA quarter. The flat is wonderful witj all the modern amenities already installed. The bathrooms are luxurious, security in the township is top notch. Their are fcailtiies like tennis courts, swimming pools, gym etc. If one can afford it then its a wonderful place to live, with a breathtaking view of the Akshardham temple and metro station at a stone throw distance

I like living here. It's one of the best places to live in Delhi.

What a residential area. Probably for the elitest of elites.

The Gym and the club house are awsome.

I was here with my friend and the place is good with very clean and tidy roads. Things are always well maintained. The traffic on roads is very less. Overall I spent a good time here.

High class residential area and excellent sports options. All ground are of international level.

Awesome place.......beautiful ground and kids place.......apartments are airy and big.....wrll designed..... near akshardham metro station....transport from apartments to main road is a problematic thing.....though few internal transport cabs r there....

Let me tell you why this place is not worth it even though very much hyped and is a not a good place for investment. I did a lot of extensive survey of all apartments in Delhi and NCR for nearly 3 years and finally ended up taking up an apartment in a gated community in Gurgaon. My sister had an apartment and she finally had to sell it at a loss
1) Most important- all apartments have been built on reclaimed River Yamuna land. While the government may deny this, but there is always a significant danger of flooding. It has happened in other major cities. If the Yamuna goes into spate, this colony will sink first
2) The apartments are way too expensive than they are worth. You will get better gated colonies in Gurgaon, Noida etc with good safety. You will save huge amount, a small portion of which you can easily invest in travel
3) The construction quality is not up to mark. While it is much better than DDA flats, but you can see many apartments having seepage and walls peeling off.
4) A huge number of apartments are empty and locked up. This itself leads to faster depreciation. This shows with many apartments in dilapidated condition.
5) Many common areas are not upto mark as per the price paid. It is definitely better than DDA colonies but nowhere match upto to colonies with similar pricing.
6) The land is situated on soft bed and is risky siesmologically.

On the better side the colony on a casual inspection looks clean and well maintained. The security is good. If you are working nearby and need a good connectivity, take it. And of course some people are obsessed with tag of staying in Delhi rather than NCR. Considering the limited options in Delhi, may be preferable for some.

But with this price, you can get excellent options elsewhere

Amazing 3bhk flats with attached bathrooms. The society has a swimming pool, gym, basket ball court, tennis court, cricket court, swings, Mother Dairy. It is made upto 7 floors and the terrace.

Well designed apparments.
Places to visit near by are akshardham Temple and Gandhi market for wholesale garments shopping.

A very nice place to stay . It has a gym , pool , tennis court , yoga classes . The infrastructure is also well done .

Nicely built township with upscale standards of living!!!!

The place was made to be an athlete residential complex, and every building will make you feel that way. Complete with sporting facilities at close quarters, the place has apartments with the initial one flat, many rooms design, originally for the purpose of housing a large number of athletes. The infrastructure and build of the place is unparalleled and top notch, which is obvious, provided that it was meant to house Indian as well as foreign nationals. All the basic amenities are easily available at the nearest market and for the religious lot of you, The Akshardham temple is at a stone's throw from this place. Overall it's a nice place to own a home.
