Amazing to see so many types and numbers of crocodiles. Especially, in the afternoon around 1pm is feeding time and it's fantastic to see them eating in close up... A very rarely seen phenomenon.

I expected this to be small, but we spent here 2 hrs. They're doing afternoon feeding at 4, 4.30 and 5 pm. Entry is 60 RS and 30 for kids 3-10 years old.

Well maintained. Cooperative staffs who explained very well about the aligators & crocodiles about their food & behavioural aspects.

Zero star not available so I give 1 star... 60 rs per adult.. Derez not much even to c for 6 min.. I don't know y people r writing +ve of it...crocodile trust dat much depending on people entry ticket money...if 5 member family go it b 500 with parking..bt dere won't b any place to sit even inside...worst experience...

I had been to this place in 2000 and now again visit back with my childhood memories . It is well maintained and the keepers are good . Saw lot of volunteers and have good collection of fruit eatery outside the place . Parking is too much

Best place to take your kids. They will enjoy seeing crocodiles. More than 100+ crocodiles can be seen and different types of crocodiles too. They have large tortoises. They have snakes and also demonstrate the poison extraction process. The adult fee - 60/- and kids below 10years age - 30/-.

Well maintained. Would be great if a guide can be arranged to take about the crocs.

A place exclusive for crocodiles. Host Gharial, Muggers/ Salt water crocodiles, Alligator, Giant Tortoise, etc . Have their own breeding center with an opportunity for volunteering..

We found no of crocodiles in this park,it is a very such beautiful park to visit

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust is the brainchild of revered herpetologist and wildlife activist Romulus 'Rom' Whitaker - an initiative to keep the fading species of crocs in subcontinent safe. Initially, the Croc Bank was built to keep the crocodiles safe and help them breed and multiply until they were fit enough to be returned to their natural habitat, and thus replenish the nature's stock. However, due to lessening wilderness, this practice has been stopped. They are now given home in the Crocodile Bank itself and are open for the public six days of the week.
The Madras Crocodile Bank is not to be confused with a zoo. Yes, you can certainly take a look at the reptiles in captivity. However, unlike a zoo, this has a much more in-depth operation through ex-situ and in-situ conservation. Right now, it is home to around 17 croc subspecies and some other reptiles like frogs, lizards, snakes, and turtles as well, some of which have been listed by IUCN as critically endangered. Visitors can witness all these slithering species at one place and also indulge in the various fun activities that the park has arranged for its guests like the night safari, guided tours, and feeding programmes. The Croc Bank is a great place to spend a day of learning, witnessing rare wilderness and having fun at the same time. If you are a wildlife enthusiast and activist and want to make a difference, you can volunteer for programmes, make donations or adopt an animal too from the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust.

Must visit when you are in ECR, abundance of reptiles.

Nice place to visit with kids. Kid enjoyed the Crocodile feeding. Feeding happens in different timings. We saw feeding at Sunday 11.30am. The schedule is written in a white board. We didn t get a chance to see venom extraction because they are not doing it now.

The environment in clean and well maintained. Good please to spend an hour.

If you like crocodile and poisonous snakes, this is the place to visit. Do not go on Monday, if you want to observe cobra venom extraction.

The place is much improved with separate holding ponds for different types of crocs and alligators. It is a pretty setting with decent amount of greenery.

Crocodile, turtles, snakes and maybe some visiting birds. Great place to learn about reptiles and watch the Irula tribe folk handle snakes to extract venom.

A stinky crocodile heaven!

It's a great place to be if you want to witness the crocs and alligators. Well maintained and build the place houses numerous crocodiles, alligators and ghariyals of different varieties and regions. The place is also home to Asia's largest, called Jaws III. It will amaze you how these creatures co-exist by just lazing around the whole day and laying on each others back.

Crocodile, you will see lot of crocodile from the different different type of from the all the world.

If you love nature and reptiles..then this is a must visit place in Chennai. Beautiful place close to bay of Bengal and nice landscape makes more attractive to this place.
Well conserved verieties of crocodiles and many more reptiles kept in natural habitat.
One of the major attraction is snake venom extraction centre.. which you can see live which is great experience of your life.
One of the largest crocodile in the country can be seen in this park which is more than 5 meter in length.

If you are fascinated by reptilian wildlife, you should visit this place. It's one of the largest reptile zoo in the world.

Also you can wait and say hello to the first Komodo Dragon in India!!!

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Chennai.. large and clean enclosures, they have a snake show, you get to see the staff feeding the crocodiles on a few specific days. They have new iguana and Komodo dragon exhibits too. Crocodile Bank also has night tours..that's a fantastic experience.

Good place to enjoy weekends with kids. Place is maintained well. Lot of crocs to see. Management is doing a great job. Parking is not available. You have to park on the highway side with parking fee.

No Parking Available. Have to park along the ecr road. Can easily spend 2-3 hours with kids

It was a wonderful experience to see so many crocodiles at one place.
Also, we went on a Sunday and there was a session on snakes and a demo for feeding the crocodiles. Both these were a good learning opportunity for the kids

One of the oldest Crocodile bank in the world. Maintenance is good.

Had a wide variety of crocodile and alligator , tortoise and turtles , but it could be improved by
1. Having souviner shops.
2. Some interactive sessions with experts
3. Audio - Video interface and so on ...
Also it's area can be expanded, coz as of now it's visual journey , doesn't take more than 1hour , but it can be extended which is more preferred.
