As much as I love the location, I will be moving out of this building as soon as my lease is up and will actively avoid any Greystar-managed properties in the future.

Maintenance, upkeep, and level of care in general shown by the management and ownership is below the bare minimum that tenants should be able to expect.

Malfunctioning key fobs and garage doors are a biweekly occurrence (if not more often), as are unintended fire alarms. The building's physical security is poor and on several occasions I have had to step over homeless people sleeping in the hallways when I leave for work in the morning. When it's not busy preventing tenants from getting in or out of the parking deck, the garage door is often left wide open for days at a time, allowing anyone to walk or drive in and have access to tenant cars and the hallways of the apartment building since there is no secure door beyond the garage.

Some portion of the building has experienced a flood or water damage every 2-3 months since I have been here, resulting in damaged personal property and inconvenience from having to deal with dehumidifiers or drying fans in your apartment or having to move units unexpectedly. Despite the frequency of these incidents, management hides behind the "force majeure" clause of the lease to avoid taking any responsibility for damages. Force majeure is intended to cover situations like a tornado blowing the roof off a building -- not an owner being unable to prevent pipes from bursting or roofs from leaking for no apparent reason.

When my apartment had water damage two months ago, I had to move to a new one and was told that any damages could be addressed with my insurance company -- meaning I would have to pay the deductible on any claims I chose to file. Two months later, walls and ceiling panels are still ripped out from the hallways and stairways on several floors with no sign of repair work actually being done anywhere. As a result, about half of my building currently looks like it's under construction (see attached photos) which seems unreasonable given what tenants are paying for rent.

I moved here from Texas without being able to visit beforehand due to covid, and I wish I had paid more attention to all of the negative reviews this building had on Yelp and Google.

I went on a tour recently and I am really excited to move in in June. Kayla and Emery were super friendly and helpful. The amenities including the pool and the renovated gym were awesome. The location is fantastic and I'm looking forward to living here.

Pros: The neighborhood is fantastic. The ladies who clean the interior of the building and the maintenance crew are friendly and prompt. Floorplans are decent.

Cons: Literally everything else. Lets address them all:
There are often problems with building accessibility (at least in building A). The doors require keyfobs in order to gain access, however, many of the doors (especially along the fence) either flat out don't work or require an extra tug, the main door facing the park rarely works and there have been issues with the callbox. Management knows about these issues but tells residents that it is their keyfobs that need to be replaced which is lazy, if the door isn't working for everyone then it's not the keyfobs that are the issue.

There is serious access issues to the onsite parking garage in the sense that access is unpredictable. The garage itself is owned by Laz Parking which is owned by Greystar Properties (the management company that runs the building) yet Greystar doesn't seem to care about the issues.

From the week I moved in I've had issues with packages; the first week I was a resident a package was misplaced and recently they misplaced a package from FedEx. It was explained to me that this was not their fault. When I asked for an explanation they told me that the delivery receipt I had from FedEx with a signature from one of the properties managers, was actually a forgery by the FedEx driver and they never saw that package. As they wrote in a recent email to me, Commons Park West has created an environment where third parties feel comfortable forging management signatures (which is against company policy), so they aren't responsible for my lost packages. So it is my opinion that they need to revise some of their policies.

Terrible exterior upkeep, the entire place needs a new layer of mulch and some regular attention, the exterior is often muddy and smells of urine, something which can be fixed (the urine smell partially) with a fresh layer of mulch.

Building A has significant issues with the fire alarm. Since moving in in August of 2020 it has gone off 10 times (once while writing this, to be honest), of those 10 times one was a regular annual test, the rest were maintenance workers accidentally setting it off. This is an issue for anyone, particularly if you work from home or have dogs.

The interior looks like an asylum with dark grey doors and polished stone floor hallways, it's depressing and there are only two elevators.

There are hidden fees you should know about before signing your lease as well. The first is the $25/month trash valet service. This service comes Sunday-Thursday and requires you to set your trash outside between 6-9 pm ( and ONLY between 6-9, and in an approved trash receptacle or you face a fine). This sounds convenient until you realize you're paying $300/year to avoid walking to a trash chute. There is also a new package delivery service that costs $15/month, $180/year that delivers package to your front door. What you do is have people send your package to an address on Broadway then you get a notification when the package arrives and schedule a drop, the third party then delivers this package. This means that instead of your package going from sender to you, it is going from sender to third party vendor to you which will eventually lead to bottlenecks and lost packages. The new fee is meant to cut down on their aforementioned problems with management, but can nullify things like 2 day or priority shipping that you pay extra for while adding an additional layer of risk to the delivery process. My opinion is that you're paying $500 a year for services that seem convenient but aren't.

While the location is great; the management team, additional costs, and neglect when it comes to access and exterior maintenance make this a poor decision. You're better served looking at the properties on Little Raven (across the park) that have the same location benefits without many of the pitfalls you will find at Commons Park West or other Greystar Property's.

Sooo if you are interested in fire alarms going off constantly, flooding in your apartment, and piss poor property management this place is FOR YOU!! Ohh you enjoy paying for amenities that are always closed and you will never get to use, come sign up! Love paying for a parking spot in an overcrowded deck, with a broken gate, with a high like hood of your car being broken into, we got your spot!!

But seriously, you ve read all the bad reviews, don t do it.

Considered renting here despite the reviews.. called to ask about the water situation and was informed everything is pretty much fixed. Came in to take a look. Told them I have an exemption about not wearing the mask. He insisted I wear one. I said my medical condition prevents me from wearing one and there is no point in wearing one.The manager asked me to provide paperwork on the exemption... I'm pretty sure that's discrimination and constitutes for a law suit. Guy seems petty and I would not rent here.

Horrible design of an apartment, for whoever moves to these apartments you should definitely rethink what you re doing. It s a literal maze to get to an apartment, just buy a damn house and quit moving downtown, it s a horrible area to live in.

Westmont Lincoln on Ogden has great customer service! The sales and service personnel are professional, and caring about you and your vehicle. Any questions or concerns you have with your vehicle they want to know so they can look into it and make sure all is addressed before you leave. Due to the great customer service, I have sent other family members to this location to make purchases and they are just as satisfied with the customer service.

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Cannot recommend it enough to anyone/everyone in the Denver area! The location speaks for itself, but the entire staff here goes above and beyond to help me anytime I need it! Maintenance is always quick and super helpful, and the leasing office girls are all incredible!

Not bad living here. Love the location and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Amenities are great and there is a kot to do in walking Distance. Just wish the garages were more secure. Its very easy to access our building because the garages don't belong to us. Its to the public. There are alot of break ins.

** frequent flooding and "emergency" water shut offs for hours ** Came home from a vacation to find all my furniture pushed over to one side of the apartment and toiletries all laying in my bathroom floor as if the place had been burglarized...but this was done by their maintenance team. Without calling, emailing, leaving a voicemail or ANYTHING, they tore up the drywall molding and ran dehumidifiers and fans for days while we were gone and left the mess for us to find on our return. The unit has been like this for an entire week and I have NOT yet received a single note, email, call, voicemail from management to even say when they will be back to fix the drywall and moldings they removed. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED and it is not an isolated incident...they shut off the water to the building for hours frequently for plumbing issues in other units on a regular basis. When things like this happen, every effort should be made to notify the tenant of the ENTRY and should immediately follow up with an expedited timeline for repairs...all we have gotten is complete silence from management and don't even know when they intend to comeback to repair the damaged drywalls - COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
