Jayson Cook and his crew at Columbus Car Audio is the only place I will ever get audio work done. This is the second system they've done for me. I feel it's money well spent for my new Kenwood DNX997XR with Garmin and a backup camera. Plus keeping all of the steering wheel buttons working. Thanks. Daniel "Jake " Perry

Brian's team has installed back up cameras and mobile eye in our fleet for Dublin Cleaners and New Albany Cleaners. What I am saving in body shop invoices and insurance deductibles pays the bill over and over. Everything continues to work great and keeps my new vans ding and dent free. Very professional service, and even assisted us with a ride back to work at times when we are dropping off or picking up. Couldn't be happier!

My radio looks nice and functions, almost. So my girlfriend bought a radio for my birthday from CCA with very few requirements when she walked in. One was that the radio would work with the steering wheel controls on my car.She was promised that it would, and it did not. (I've seen this functionality on other models of radio and we only learned of the lack of functionality after it was installed as we left the car there for the day, more on that later). After receiving the radio, very nice birthday present, I scheduled an appointment for the install. I was quoted $285 for an install. WTF! But not wanting to hassle with this myself I agreed. I dropped the car off in the AM, on a Friday and agreed to pick it up around 2pm that day. They said "No problem". Came in at 2:30, was told of the issue with the steering wheel, (no phone call during the day mind you) and was told that it would take about 10 more minutes to complete. I almost cancelled the install but was told CCA has exclusivity with Pioneer and they were informed that the issue with my car could be corrected in the near future. At that point I gave in, another mistake of mine...and told them to just finish my car up. The time to complete at this point went from 10 more minutes to 1 hour to "clear up the radio reception", which never happened. I would have paid to have an antennae installed if I knew it would be this bad. The sales person assured me that I would receive a discount on the install as they weren't able to do the steering wheel work. I got a call about an 2 hours later that the car was done. I went in and received a $10 discount for my trouble. I've dealt with ghetto style car audio places before and expected more from CCA based on others recommendations but this place was NO different.Ghetto. Buyer beware... Update: I was contacted shortly after posting this review by Anthony at CCA. He went way out of his way in an attempt to make the issues I've listed above right. He scheduled a time to pick up my car around my schedule and spent an entire day working on it. He updated me multiple times during the day and treated me very well. Unfortunately, none of my issues have been fully corrected. Still no steering wheel controls and the tuner still has a bunch of static on most of the local stations. (It is somewhat better than before). Anthony has promised to follow up with a new product that could help with my steering wheel in a month or two and hopefully we can get the tuner corrected at that time as well. (It's not a huge issue for me and I don't want to be that guy with the complaining.) I'm very grateful that Anthony took the extra time to get in touch with me and work towards a solution. I'm adding two stars to my review based on his performance alone. I'll be happy to work with him in the future.

Dropped my car off and the customer service is astounding. I saw one of the salesmen working with someone who is deaf and he had so much patience and was communicating with the deaf person by text. Everyone here makes you feel welcome and talk to you like a human being and not some robot that is forced to repeat automated lines forced upon them. This place is great and I will definitely be coming here for all of my car needs. The drive is a little over an hour for me but for the customer service and vast array of customization I can get here the drive is worth it. They also have a great warranty too. All in all this place is amazing.

5 Star customer service with a 3 star product. I started out in the car audio business 30 years ago. I haven't look into it for fifteen years. Every once in a while you have a product that doesn't meet a customers expectations, which was the case today. The customer service I received to fix the problem was extraordinary, though. It would have been nice to have a better explanation of what I was buying before I spent 7 hours of my day waiting.

Fantastic experience. I had new rims put on my truck and I have had everybody make compliments on my wheels that I got from Columbus car audio. Can't say enough about how they treated me. The product itself is fantastic with everybody saying they think it's really improved the look of my truck. I will be back to put in a sound system and a keyless entry and I I'm sure I will have the same experience. Thanks so much

What a great and professional experience. I took my daughters 2004 Volvo in to get a new deck and speaker system. I was explained all the options available to me - and during the install, it was determined the speakers did not need replacing (I had just assumed they did). Ended up saving some money! Great communication and very helpful service all around. Thank-you Columbus Car Audio!

Picked my truck up yesterday after having a new JL Audio Stealthbox and Amplifier installed. John was very helpful when it came to making sure my Tacoma was outfitted properly. He recommended the necessary add-on's to get the best sound out of the set up. The installation quality far exceeded my expectations. I am VERY particular when it comes to my truck. They really went the extra mile. A custom cover was made to cover the wires to the amp, which now looks stellar. I had a bass control knob installed as well and it looks as if it came from the factory with it. The sound quality was much greater than I thought it would be, thanks to John's advice on additional products. Great job, guys! I'll be back.

Not Morse Rd., but the Reynoldsburg location. Donald was friendly, helpful, went over and beyond to help me and he was basically just all around awesome. I got the 2-way remote starter system installed the same day that I called and I'm going back tomorrow to get the rest of the CompuStar alarm features added, since my factory alarm is disabled when the car is running. Thanks Donald and CCA!

Called and was put on hold for 10 minutes I gave up and went in to the store to buy some supplys. When I walk up to the counter there are 4 other employees just chatting at the counter ...ok I thought you don't own the place your getting paid why should you bother right? I have spent thousands of of dollars in stores like these in the year paying retail markup... why? Ill just go to amazon or microcenter in the future.

I have a 2004 F-150,I came in and was greeted by Denny. I told him another place recommended a head unit speakers plus amp and a subwoofer to make my system sound good, he ran me thru all the components they said I needed and ne thought it was over kill. Long story short I walked out with far better equipment minus the amp and subwoofer and got a remote start for less than the other place wanted for just a stereo system. Thank you Denny my system rocks and could not be happier. All the people there were/are very polite and friendly, today while there sat in guest room and watched last part of Ohio State- Maryland game we talked like we were buddies watching the game. Thank you for making my experience enjoyable. If I need any services they provide I will definatly take my truck there to have you work on it. Mark

WAY OVER PRICED AND ARROGANT ATTITUDE. These guys operate just like a dealership i assume its because they work on a lot of thier cars, they push you to come in thier store for even basic estimates and when you take your time todo so they make it seem like they are some rocket scientists and it may cost you $1000 to install a simple sub in your car, there are many alternatives and way more courteous and professional shops around who wont waste your time and asking you to come in the store before they can quote you a price.

i brought a sup to be bench tested and was told on thursday that i would have to leave the sub there untill monday and would be charged 15$ .. if any one know about bench testing a sub i litterally takes 5 minutes .. needless to say i went across the street to afliction audio they tested it right then and there for free. i'll NEVER go back here again. do yourself a favor and go to afliction across the street there alot nicer and will help you out properly

Visited on one of the busiest days of the year and they were swamped. Got a great deal on the escort MAX 360 radar detector and very helpful salesman! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was having to wait a but because of the crowd. My advice, skip the $100 cobras at Walmart... They are cheap for a reason! This store has a good selection in stock, even the 9500 with laser scrambling!

I purchased a new Jaguar F-Type and wanted to get the windows tinted and to get either paint protection film or ceramic coating. Galen was full of knowledge on the differences between the film and ceramic and helped me make the best decision for what I was looking for. I was extremely nervous to leave my car here for a few days but it was totally worth it! Jose did a great job on the tint and Galen's meticulous work on making the film flawless is so appreciated. The tint and detail work that Columbus Car Audio does is unparalleled.

These guys were super friendly both on the phone and in person. I called them and asked if they could take a look at my car stereo which had died on me, they told me to head over and they would check it out. I got there about 15 minutes later and they came right out and looked at it in the parking lot. It turned out to be a really easy fix (for them) and they didn't even charge me! Thanks guys! You definitely gained a new customer.. I will be going back for any future car audio needs!

I originally had a stereo/DVD/navigation system installed in about 2011. It got stolen around 2016, and they installed a new one paid for by my insurance. That one dislocated and I couldn't open the door to get DVDs out. So I called them. They just fixed all of the problems for me under their lifetime guarantee. FREE! I'm beyond impressed. THANK YOU!

Columbus Audio installed tower speakers and a sub in my boat. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. When arriving, ask for John. He's one of their salesman. His experience, along with his customer-first approach made this experience 100 times better. For my car/boat audio needs, I will be returning to Columbus Audio and I will be working with John!

I've been finally wanting to get my windows tinted . I love the results & will be coming back again for some subwoofers etc.

I had a remote start/alarm system installed by the folks at Columbus Car Audio in Reynoldsburg. They were honest and informative. I want to give special praise to Donald, who was very patient and took the time to answer all my questions and always made me feel like I was his top priority. Thank you, Donald!!!! Good customer service is such a rarity these days, and you definitely went above and beyond. Mollie K.

Just had all 3 of my cars tinted at Columbus Car audio last week and could not be more satisfied with the way it looks, feels and how personable and professional they were. I also added the Bluetooth connect ( which let me do the talk to text with the touch of a button!) and HID headlight on my Denali. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

Purchased a DVD player and remote start for 2 of my vehicles. DVD player stopped working a year later. Called multiple times and left messages and no one ever called me back. Now I am stuck with a ugly, bulky DVD player that doesn t work in my car. Initial service was fine but don t expect any help when the product doesn t work.

Bought a new 15 Equinox from dealer and as part of the deal I wanted the windows tinted., Dealer sent car here, had to take it a total of 4 times to get tint right, had bubbles, debris, wrong sizes and was uneven. Manager agreed to convert interior lights to LED as a courtesy, well a month later those shorted out a BCM in the car. Have been to CCA before (Reynoldsburg location) and have gotten great service from Donald there, maybe their forte isn't tint?

I went to Columbus Car audio after trying to install a new system myself and needing help. They provided a line out audio control to solve my noise issue and even recommended a subwoofer that I wasn't planning on buying, but now won't live without. They even helped me understand how I would need a volume control in the car for my sub. It's in the trunk and it's a convertible, so the adjustable bass is a must with varying noise conditions. I love my new system and will continue to head back to Columbus Car Audio for equipment and advice.

Wanted to put a remote start in my wife s car as part of a Christmas gift. Called a couple weeks ahead of time and agreed on a date to have the installation done. Took it in on that date in the morning and was told that it would be done sometime late afternoon. Called at 4 PM and they had not even started on the car. I m sure the products they sell are pretty nice, but overall I have an issue with the customer service. The person I spoke to on the phone really wanted to blame me and insisted that he told me it would take longer, but that s the one issue that I was sensitive to and would have heard if he had said anything about that. They did refund my deposit, but overall I m really unhappy with the service. Update: I appreciate the intention of the reply below, but found a better option. I was able to book an appointment with Sound Investment. They installed the exact same system, kept to the promised schedule, and did it for (no joke) HUNDREDS less.

Incredibly quick and helpful service. Sent them an email from their website to give a bit of background about my problem and get some prices. Through talking with the associate, Denny, he let me know that he wants to check and see what the problem is first, just in case it is a simple fix. This instantly let me know I liked this place, because I knew they do care for the customer, and not just their wallet. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and recommended me a new inline fuse for my stereo. He gave me two options, the traditional fuse or a breaker switch like option. He gave me the pro's and con's of each and kept it super simple and answered any question I had. Upon doing the switch, my system is back up and running perfectly!! All in all, a great company with a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and I know for sure that I will be coming back here any time I need advice or new parts. Quick, easy, and effective. Thanks guys!!

My parents went in today to ask about their remote car starter, which was installed several years ago. It had stopped working and the service technicians couldn't find any record of their installation, but we know the product was bought and installed at this shop. The service staff looked and looked for the records, but couldn't find them. Despite not having a record on file, they took the car in the back, took a look and fixed the problem right away! AND they provided the service at no charge! Thank you! They didn't catch anyone's names, but we wanted to publicly thank the store and their amazing service! You guys are knocking it out of the park! Thanks again!

I had a bad experience with Columbus Car Audio on Morse Road. Went around and around with an employee there about a specialty audio kit for my vehicle and I couldn't get a call back from Jason. All I asked is to get back to me and let me know if they could get the kit or not and I couldn't even get that after wasting 3 weeks of my time. Wouldn't work with me after I found the kit on Ebay. Ended up calling Jason at Affliction Car Auto on Morse road and the kit was verified within a week and they were willing to install the kit along with a JVC car stereo I found. The installation was fast and everything work great. Since Columbus Car Audio act like they didn't want my money, they will never get my money. Go to Affliction and get better service and a response.

Have had many jobs done over the years by Justin and the guys at the Reynoldsburg location, always do a nice job. I bought a used motor home recently and needed to replace the monitor linked to the cameras. Not only were they able to repair, they worked an upgrade of the system, cameras, and speakers that added functionality and had the system looking and sounding much better than the original OEM equipment. They communicated well throughout the process about options, unexpected difficulties/workarounds, and my options and the associated costs. These guys are legit.

My dad has dealt with these guys for years and introduced them to me and I honestly can say I will never go anywhere else for car audio installations. These guys know what they are doing 100%. They ve installed amps, radios, speakers and subs for me on my mustang and my new jeep wrangler and the installation has looked factory and custom made in both cars. If you are a new buyer, talk to Jay. He s a great salesman who will hook you up with the best deal he can possibly get you and is descriptive of how the installation will look and what will be the best option for you in terms of meeting your budget but still achieving killer sound. Jay is the man. Like I said, go to Columbus Car Audio for ANY car audio installation needs.

Over the last ten years or more, I have dealt with Anthony and Jay at Columbus Car Audio. The two of them have organized their staff to perform a number of great upgrades to both my personal cars and my work vehicle. They have installed window tint, paint protection film, and a new stereo system. I have found that you can always find the guy down the road to do it cheaper, but the fact that Jay and Anthony organize everything is worth every penny and more. Columbus car audio is the ONLY place I'll take my car to for upgrades. I don't even shop around any more. Very highly recommended!

I asked for a quote to have an inverter installed. I was quoted over $500 because they wanted to charge $180 for a $60 part and $100 for a $25 part, then charge $150 an hour for labor plus some random fees that I couldn t make sense of. I d say it s highway robbery.

I work for a dealer in Columbus, Oh and have used Columbus Car Audio and Accessories often. Every time I call Brian Hinkle, I get fast results, great service and satisfied customers. I used them recently on behalf of a customer who was upset on being told his new model was incompatible with the tow hitch he wanted. One call to Brian Hinkle and the problem was solved. Brian called the customer, got him in the next day and installed his tow hitch. The customer went from unhappy to extremely happy within 24 hours! Use these guys!!

Columbus Car and Audio was extremely helpful. My 2004 Honda Accord radio was starting to give out on me and i was recommended to them. I was in and out within an hour with a new WORKING radio and saved much more money than if I had gone to the auto dealership. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Went into Columbus Car Audio to get a quote for an audio installation. The hardware prices were higher than everyone else. For example, the BitOne was $1k, whereas everyone else (brick and mortar) charges only $750. If that wasn't bad enough, when the salesman, Kevin, was asked if they would install hardware that I provided, he said, "Yes, but the installation charge will be double." Usually when a person tries to stick it to someone, they pour a little KY Jelly on it first. In this case, their transparent, shameless screw-job was pretty alarming. If you're a masochist, go to Columbus Car Audio. EDIT: Response to owner comments. Since you ve taken the time as the owner of CCA to respond, I think it s only fair to prospective buyers to understand the full extent of the trust deficit your company has created. You write that your double-price labor charges for third party hardware installation not sold by you carries with it a certain risk, which is true. However, I doubt that this double-price will include a warranty on those products as you imply. Virtually every other retailer that installs third party products, even auto repair, won t charge double for labor. They just won t warranty the parts (new products have a manufacturer s warranty anyway, so additional risk is minimal). Smart installers will bench test everything beforehand. You claim that your system didn t reflect a price break from the manufacturer, yet no other Audison retailer (of four) has made this mistake. And I was wrong, the price of $1k that your salesperson quoted was actually for a BitTen D, which is actually $599 from everyone else, so the pricing example given in my review was generous. I have trouble believing that Audison ever sold this product for $1k. And if this were the only issue then it could be overlooked, but the invoice also fails to include a BITDMI (which is needed so it has me wondering if the salesperson even knows what he s talking about), has $600 for RCA cables, and includes $1620 in labor charges which is more than double what everyone else charges for labor. Oh yes, I m unhappy with the final pricing. But not just. When I asked if there were ever any sales on these products, the response was No. When I asked if there was ever a better time of year to purchase at a discount, the response was No. When I asked if there were any military or other discounts No. It s your business, and you re free to charge what you like, but prospective buyers should know that every other retailer offered discounts for the same things. In addition, taking pleasure in telling me no speaks to a larger problem, one of demeanor and attitude. Anecdotally, this foul approach is the reputation of CCA around town as many people have been asked. This story is told and no one is ever surprised. Players take on the demeanor of the coach. It s top down the world over. There are very serious problems with CCA and I d be remiss if I didn t share my experience.
