When i was a kid the park had paddle boats, spider monkey island diving boards at the pool and even carnival rides. it was like a small amusement park. and always full of kids laughter and joy. now it cost to much to swim. the pond is gross and well not all that. in my opinion.

So many fun things to do here! There are multiple play structures for varying age groups, an excellent free zoo, a train and children's amusement park rides (costs), a baseball field, a pond, picnic pavilions, pathways, and a water park (costs). Definitely one of the best places to take the family in Lafayette.

Love this park! Playing with baby goats is great therapy! So much fun and never a dull moment! Great playground and a nice little waterpark. Great way for individuals or families to enjoy a day. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Oh my gosh!!! We can t believe how great this little zoo was! We stopped for a break on a drive from Chicago to Indianapolis. It s in Lafayette IN a few miles from Purdue University.

They had an awesome butterfly exhibit & we met Lisa which was so sweet & a wealth of knowledge too! Everyone that worked here including volunteers was so amazing!! We absolutely loved playing & loving on the adorable Norwegian Dwarf goats. We were definitely blown away with this place & it s people!

This place is great for the whole family
It has a butterfly garden, a petting zoo, foot splash area, gift shop, restrooms and some educational shows. The park and pool are real close and there is a train for kids and parents to ride around the paremeter. There is a nice pond with ducks and fishing is allowed

Jenks Rest is great for special get togethers. Plenty of tables & chairs. Nice clean facility. Restrooms are close and convenient. One suggestion, the hanging lights should be cleaned & dusted occasionally. When putting up & taking down decor, we had dust flying everywhere. Otherwise, very pleasant experience.

It is by far the best Zoo I've ever gone to, not only because is free to enter but they have alot of animals to see and they are going to have pinguns come very soon. Beautiful place to grab an ice cream and walk around.

In the heart of the city and within walking distance of downtown (about 1/1.5 miles). It is not a large zoo but it is free of charge with an excellent assortment of animals. Very kid friendly, next to Loeb Stadium (where the Lafayette Aviators play), the water park and is, I believe, technically a part of Columbia Park. Well worth the time to take in.

Has a zoo, baseball, nice place to take a walk, beautiful garden scapes. Very nice display walls of all service men and women from all wars. Could use repairs to cement walls and pond cleanup..

Having just moved from a big city, I was rather skeptical of a small town zoo that was also free. However, my toddler and I have been twice in a row this week, and he loves this zoo maybe more than the big city one. Very well done, personable staff, fun little signs to learn from, interactive exhibits, and even a splash pad. We usually spend about 3 hours here.

The Zoo is very small, but for younger children it is perfect. They also have a great playground for the kids to play on and the price is right (FREE). We had a great time spending about 1.5 hours between animals and play area.

My boys love the train and animals at the Zoo. Such a wonderful treasure to Lafayette. There's a butterfly enclosure to watch butterflies in different life stages. You can walk with the wallabys. Pet goats. Play in the bubbling water at the front entrance. There's so much to do and many more animals to just watch. I love how you can get up close experiences here and the zoo is completely free! The train only costs $2 and under 2 is free. There are carnival style rides too. With a pizza place, frozen custard, and snow cones across the street and playground as well, you could spend several hours in the area and make a day/afternoon of it.
