Both times I've had battery issues, the staff at Colonial have been quick in diagnosing the problem, and I haven't been charged for a diagnostic yet! Roger in service is honest, friendly, and explains everything he does.

My wife and I had a horrible experience at this dealership. They treated her with absolute disrespect, seemingly because she was a woman offering to "talk to her husband" about the finances since it was "hard for her understand". Every step of the way, we felt completely deceived and as if we were being taken advantage of. Their claim of "NO HAGGLE" is absolutely untrue. I regret purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and will not return for future car purchases. I hope to help others avoid a horrible car sales experience.

I purchased a pre-owned 2005 Subaru Impreza from Colonial Toyota in Milford back in November of 2011. First off, I saw this car online and when I went to look at it, the car was spotless inside and out, and you could have eaten off of the engine. Frank Nieves, the General Sales Manager who was assisting me, had no issues setting up a test drive within a few minutes. After my childish grin faded, he laid out the steps to follow in order to purchase the car. My father and I filled out some paperwork, and a few days later I came back and drove it home.

A year and a half later, I can say this is still the best car I have ever owned. I was assured by Frank that I was buying a quality car from a quality dealership and he was true to his word. He even dropped the price on the car by $1000 when I noticed a cosmetic defect on the fender. They offered a year of free oil changes, but I only took advantage of one when I was getting a service done to the car.

I highly recommend this dealership for every aspect of their business. They do not haggle on prices and that's because they have a no BS approach to selling you a car that you will be happy with for years.

Awful internet sales department. I chatted on their website, asked for a price on a specific make and model and was told someone would get back to me. I provided email and phone. 24 hours no response. I chatted again, I was told to call their main number and ask for help. I said that I didn't want to contact them, I wanted someone to contact me, that I already had prices from 4 other dealers in the same time span and if they wanted my business I Needed a price quote today. I was told someone would contact me. 2.5 hours later still no response. I also texted them and had the same useless response that "someone will get back to you."" I told. them I'm not holding my breath.

The customer service that each and every employee has at Colonial Toyota was awesome very attentive to customers who are there. Marcos Romero is an amazing Sales person he made sure all of my questions were answered and if I did not understand something he made sure to explain it before we signed anything. The level of knowledge is there I would recommend all of my friends and family to Marcos at Colonial Toyota. The staff and Marcos are very welcoming and have a great sense of humor very relaxing environment and are not overly aggressive.

I've been leasing from Colonial Toyota for many years and they've always treated me right in both sales and service. For the last 5 years I've been dealing with Jeff Lewis, one of the Sales Managers, and Jeff has always been upfront about everything and has worked with me to make sure I'm happy with what I'm paying. I've never felt pressured to spend more than I could afford and Jeff has always looked out for ways to save me money which I greatly appreciate. If you're in the market for a new car definitely come to Colonial Toyota and talk to Jeff Lewis, you won't be disappointed.

Don't know about others but my experience wasn't pleasant at all. Deceitful salesperson, got angry when I proved that I wasnt ignorant of the process, had to deal with multiple people, still didn't get what I was told and in the end the original salesperson smoked in my truck before giving it to me, the ashes were all over the door, and the smell is still not gone after almost 2 weeks.

I expected so much more from a Toyota dealership and will make sure my friends and family go elswhere too, given that most of us buy and own Toyotas. Perhaps it's time to try a Ridgeline...

Went to Colonial to check the 2016 Rav4 and we got Bill Ndreu as our sales man. Start was smooth as it always is. Was very nice and showed us the cars we were looking for. Upon deciding what car we wanted Colonial Toyota did not have the one we wanted. Although Bill tried to push us to get the orange one that was there, we wanted the white. Finally he decided to give up on the orange and find us a white. We left there with everything all sorted out and we would just wait for the call to go get the car. We get the call and with a bit of arranging (Schedule-wise) we get to the dealership and the whole time we felt rushed as it was Bill's day off and he was there only to get this done for us. Although we understand and appreciate the effort, buying/leasing a car its all about the experience and we sincerely did not feel that it was a good one. We left with basically no explanation as to how it works on schedule maintenance or anything else as far as the lease goes. We know how much we pay a month and that's about it.

Worst Experience Ever. At the time of booking for Oil Change I was told to pay $35 but when I reached there I was asked $59. When I inquired about what has changed then it was told to me that actually it will cost $79 and not even $59. I don't understand why they have to waste everyone time if they cant commit to what was offered. It seems they themselves dont know how much it will cost and they try to come up with prices on the fly and see how much they can rip off customer. The more expensive car customers can be ripped off more. I will never stop there and wont recommend anyone to waste time.

I recently just purchased a 2015 Toyota from this dealership and I must say I am ecstatic! I have to say I was probably the most difficult customer ever. My mother and I came into to the dealership with upside down loans so, this was already a tough situation. To make matter worst I wanted a HONDA ACCORD and I was not budging from that Honda until; my sales person Anthony Spinelli. He literally worked with me for weeks selling me on a Toyota. He honestly went above and beyond to find me everything I wanted in a Toyota. But after all the time it took to change my mind about Toyotas I found that they are truly better cars and I couldn't have done this without Anthony's help! If you want to leave a dealership more than satisfied go right to Anthony Spinelli he will do everything in his power to get you into the car you want at a great price. Thanks Anthony!

I paid for a remote starter when purchasing the vehicle and was supposed to receive it soon after the purchase. It s been over a year and they said I need to pay for the starter now . Would not recommend to anyone . The salesman said that he s not responsible for not installing the remote starter even though I was contacting him on a routine basis and he kept telling me to wait until it comes in . Do not buy a car from this place .

My recent purchase on Black Friday was for two trucks on the same day. I live in Long Island, NY and it is definitely worth the trip to Connecticut. When I arrived both trucks were ready to roll!!

Got my Sequoia there in 2008 and have been faithfully bringing it in for regular service ever since. Aside from brakes and a new battery there has been nothing to fix. It is the most ridiculously reliable car I have ever owned - still like new, even though I park it outdoors. Even the original tires are still fine after 7 years. Service is excellent - fantastic waiting area, competent and courteous staff, free oil changes for life. What is not to like?

Watch out for toyota colonial motors in Milford CT.. Eric SCharf the finance manager cheated me i hope he gets rich off my money and his family gets to eat at night. He is biggest liar and con i have ever encounter. He added guarantee to my car purchase, also increase the car buyout to make extra commission and added gap insurance to my lease buyout. He charged for the VIN kit which he wasnt supposed to charge He increased the price in the car and told me that he had those things to secure my loan at 3.9% APR rate cuz my credit sucks which was totally false. He didnt provide me with my contract when I got home contacted TFS, they told me that those things were not required I contacted him the very next day and asked him for my details contract and he reinforced his statement that I must have things to secure the loan and then asked him to cancel everything since it was less than three days. He then told me that the bank is closed on Sunday that he will contact on Monday. He didn't reach out to me for like three days then it was too late. I went to the dealer, they didn't want to talk me and claim he was the only one who can help me, and kicked me out. I had to call TFS numerous time to try to solve the situation. He emailed to inform yes those things were optional and asked him why told me they were required he didn't answer. He was going to remove the extra fees, the gap thingy and the guarantee things. Two days later he emailed informing me that he couldn't. I am like why do it if it can't be reversed and why didnt he was transparent with me and i was honest with him. I have been a loyal customer of toyota for the past 3 yrs, never been late, no accident, no ticket. I have never felt so dirty in my life. Eric Scharf is a crook, he lied through he teeth and I am stuck with extra fees that could have been voided If he was an honest person. watch out for him if you decide to buy a car at that place. He is the finance manager he should be the most transparent person there and yet again he is the one that cheated and lied not even the car salesman. make sure to contact toyota first and read through the fine point on his ipad that he hides the details of the contract. The sale manager has to explain those fees to me and even was shocked that learn that he did that to me. He has no integrity. please toyota hire people with integrity to do the sale job.

bad service, I deal with Mark in service. I bring my trucks for recall before I bring the trucks I just service them. New tires, fresh fluids, filters and plugs, He call me for update then he said your truck need tires all the fluids need to be change and filter I said okay so how much $ 1200 plus tax mind you I just service the truck be aware of their scam I'm sure I'm not the only one, I ask to speak to the service manager who's name is Joe. For 2 weeks I am trying to reach him he never return my call.
After replacing my frame the alignment was off, my brake become sponge and my A/C not working I call the same day I pick up the truck he tells me bring it back. After 3 days I call because he never call me. Now he said my a/c is leaking from the evaporator when I said how come I didn't smell it he said oh no the 2 o-ring from the expansion valve are leaking ask to send me proof I did not want too because he ask to pay $575 plus tax and I said no because I know everything works before I drop off the truck since then they avoiding me. I catch them lying.

I had a worse experience at Toyota dealership in Milford CT while my car was getting serviced for sudden breakdown from April 13 to 23rd, 2016. Was fixed but found scratched and chad cracks on front bumper when went to pick up. On April 28, took the car to dealership for fixing the damages. Visually looked fine when picked up the car next day evening. Within 15 days on 12th of May noticed damages (scratches on the front damper) on the car have reappeared. It appears they used a glaze like product which will hide the swirls and scratches until you wash the car or get it wet. Extremely disappointed with the kind of service provided. Lost trust completely. Have emailed Justin Raffone, general manager with no response.??

Who was very pushy, overbearing & was frankly annoyed because before we went to colonial Toyota we did our homework by visiting other dealerships so we had a price range & questions that we needed answered before the purchase was going to be made. The sales manager undermined the sale by acting as if he new more about the car& process then the salesman and then was annoyed because we wouldn't give him info about the process and cost at the other dealerships. Finally we had enough, thanked the car salesman and told him the manager just killed the deal & why. That same day we went to A1 toyota in new haven & purchased the same car with great customer service. In the future let the car salesman do his job and the sales manager stay inside the building and do yours.

I had read all the comments on this and because most seemed good I figured we would go to purchase a car. I have to say my husband did not have a good experience with the salesman he got and when he voiced his concerns with the sales manager seemed less interested. When I called the sales manager and we talked about what we wanted/not wanted he seemed to get aggressive on the phone with me. It wasn't until Monday after he waited in their lobby for 3 hours did I finally call the General Manager. I made my concerns aware and that I had felt that my husband was discriminated against because of his language barrier. I had to call the location 3 times because it seemed as though no one wanted to be bothered with him?? I explained that he had bought cars before so I didn't understand what the issue was. It finally resolved, but only after two days of back and forth on their end. I would not recommend this place.

Colonial Toyota cancelled lifetime free oil changes they offered to potential customers as an incentive to purchase a new vehicle. This is unfair, and might be even a breach of legal contract as customers were given a written document upon completion of a purchase.

Service department is horrible. I bought a used 2014 GMC Sierra with the certified life time powertrain warranty, with 66,000 on it and experienced motor problems a few months in (lifter blown). My truck has been in service for almost two weeks now, and no one will get in touch with me and I can t get a rental. Snow is this weekend and I have work and won t be able to get around. Instead of sending the truck to a GMC dealer (as I requested when I dropped it off for service) to be diagnosed and serviced properly, with ease of access to parts, because of the Toyota warranty through Toyota, they decide to service it themselves. $30,000 vehicle, beautiful truck in perfect condition soon to be junk. Aggravated and stranded without a vehicle in the New England weather.

I moved to the Norwalk are over three years ago and struggled to find a quality Toyota dealer for service. I tried Stamford and Westport and I was somewhat dissatisfied. I finally tried Colonial Toyota and have had several service appointments. I felt like the TLC was much better at this dealership, it was proven when I had a repair and a defective part was installed (there was essentially no way to know this until after the fact). The dealership was exceptional at getting the issue resolved, no hassel whatsoever, and they followed up multiple times to ensure everything was corrected.

I believe business and people show what they're truly made of when things don't always go well. That is why I would trust the management of this dealership, they delivered.

Horrible. Bought a used Tacoma for 16,500 cash. Ac went and I had to pay partially even though it was shortly after 60 day warranty but who tests ac in the winter? Power steering issue now. Only 2100$. Do yourself a favor and go to a1 Toyota in amity. On top of it salesman won t work with you and rather you take a loan to make more $ off you. When someone says watch out for those used car guys they definitely haven t dealt with this place. Jess my service manage was great but the rest just see $ and that s it. Oh and salesman couldn t answer any questions about vehicles when they sell them and should have SOME knowledge. Very disappointed but lesson learned and in 2-3 months when I buy new I will take my 40k cash and go to their competitor UNLESS they make this right. Unbelievable

The sales dept is fine, we bought a car here last year. The service dept on the other hand is terrible. Poor communication in explaining what work and parts you are actually paying for. Gives quotes on work which doesnt include taxes and fees. Make an appointment and you still end up waiting for hours for small jobs. Numerous calls and always end up leaving a voicemail and have to wait days for a return call.

We searched online for a used Highlander Hybrid and we went to Colonial Toyota to look at one that they had. Carlos took great care of us and even came in early to drive the vehicle a half-hour to our mechanic to get checked out! He was very friendly and made sure we got everything we needed by the time the deal was completed. The Wii room for kids was very helpful in keeping our kids patient through the whole transaction. We love our new car and would recommend Carlos to anyone who is looking. He is eager to make his customers happy and willing to go the extra mile for them.

Last week I had gone into Colonial Toyota to get my oil changed. Right before my scheduled oil change I had my car washed and detailed. I did not know that after each oil change they give you a complimentary carwash! This normally would have been a wonderful surprise but having already gotten my car detailed I was quite disappointed with everything being washed away and left with watermarks all over my car. After speaking with Mike a few times, he was able to get me in to take care of my car and re-do what was undone. Mike was so kind and sincere with me through the whole process that I wanted to make sure he is recognized for the great work he does and for doing what needed to be done to ensure my happiness with Toyota and their service.

This was the first time I've ever left a dealership and not felt completely disgusted or like I was taken advantage of. James M. did a truly awesome job- he ran me numbers several times for any payment situation I could think of. They didn't have the vehicle I wanted on the lot, so he got it in half the time they told me it would take. I offered to let them match my CU's financing rate and finance through them, and they beat it by 0.15%. Didn't push too hard with any of the add-ons or gimmicks, no surprises, no bogus fees to fight about, just straightforward and to the point- something I never knew a dealership was capable of. Would definitely buy again and refer James to anyone thinking about going there.
