Excellent service, the sales department (Chris Tatem) was awesome, no pressures at all, time to discuss and excellent service during pre-sale and post-sale. Financial department was absolutely cooperative with me needs. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the time that I drove my beautiful car. I bought so many cars but this experience was the best and easy with a difference. Keep doing this service and you will get a longtime customers like myself. Thank you to all of you.

This location is by far the worst. I cant tell if it s the service manager or the whole dealership but they have horrible customer service. They Kept my car all day, for a sensor replacement and called me at 5pm to say it was ready! However they close in 10mins so unless I can get there then, i can pick it up tomorrow.

I ve had to come back 3 separate times for something they couldn t fix the first time. That s 5 days worth of work I had to take off. No coupons, no discount, not even a sorry this keeps happening. They don t even clean your windshield or vacuum, even Jiffy Lube does that. This is my dealership where we bought the car, that is completely unacceptable. If it wasn t for the fact they worked on my car last, I would ve taken it somewhere else.

We saw the salesman watch is drive in and then as we looked at the car up close an older woman looked out the window. No one came out Lol!!! Guess they aren't trying to sell cars. Excellent could not have been better. My son went with me. Gave us an excellent room to conduct business . I am temporarily using a Walker in the room I could stay in my Walker seat and review papers at a comfortable lower table. Had to return and sign 1 more paper. My son requested they bring the paper to the parked car in the driveway to sign. Which they very agreeably did. Thanks so much Clovis VW. I tell everyone speak with how wonderful and accommodating to special requests your company is.

Bought a 2017 GLI, love my car, but it is definitely the first & last time I purchase anything from there again.

There is nothing specifically wrong with this place, but overall I just didn't feel welcome or comfortable when it came to the maintenance of my car.

However, this dealership did notice that my car hadn't received some 'software update' as part of a factory recall. This fact gave them the 2 extra stars in my rating.

I also learned that having dealerships service your vehicle is a good thing as they know any and all recall issues your vehicle may have. This is my 2nd new vehicle, my first is 18 years old and the only time I ever took it to the dealership is when I received a letter from Ford.

All 3 people I spoke to were friendly and helpful. I needed a battery for my remote door opener. One person immediately directed me with a smile. Another person gave me the part within seconds and the cashiers were friendly and helpful. I was in and out within 20 minutes.

WHEN I WENT TO MICHAELS TO HAVE MY CAR SERVICE 3 YEARS AGO THE WORKERS THERE TOOK OFF MY FRESNO STATE ALUMNI KEY CHAIN OFF MY KEY AND THREW IT AWAY IN THE GARBAGE CAN FOR WHAT REASON I WILL NEVER KNOW. Even though they were extremely busy, I dropped my car off early and they had it serviced by early afternoon. I love the way they don t find unnecessary add-ons, even when I asked them to check everything and do whatever was needed. The personnel and general attitudes are extremely kind and helpful. In the 5 years I have had my VW beetle, purchased from Clovis VW, I have been completely satisfied with everything I ve ever needed...not to mention how much I love my car!

If you go there 100% ask for Johnny . He s the most friendly and professional. He s super helpful and really listens to help you get what you want. He s so nice and really wants to make sure you re happy w your purchase. I would recommend Johnny if you re going to Clovis VW he ll make your experience great.
Johnny is the ONLY reason we returned back to purchase a car (after a bad experience w the manager and one man in the office) .. that being said johnny s customer service and apologies for his coworkers which he wasn t even present to see or hear what happened really went a long way. Johnny really is so nice and patient that we had to return and give HIM our business. Johnny gets a 5 out of 5 stars i just took one away due to the bad experience we had (that didn t involve him but the dealership in general) but that being said you don t have to see or deal w the manager or the other guy in the office we just were unfortunate and had to. They have great deals on cars so if you re looking i really do recommend going over to there and 100000% ASK FOR JOHNNY and you will leave happy w a great purchase !!!!!!

Best VW dealership in the area. Had to go here after a very very very bad experience at another dealership in the area. Clovis VW is fixing all the problems caused by the other place with a smile. I'm told that I'm not the only person who's had to do this.
The service people are great. Super friendly and willing to listen when you speak about the issue. This is a very professional outfit and imho worthy of being an authorized VW dealer and service center.

I went in today and had the best experience I've ever had at a car dealership! Cornelius was a great salesman, no pressure and so nice! Jerome was great too! I can't say anything bad about Clovis VW. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming and I didn't feel any pressure at all to buy like most dealerships. Left with my new Jetta, and a great experience! Highly recommend.

I would rate zero stars, but I suppose that s not an option so i ll go with one star. When I brought an issue to them they blew me off and misdiagnosed the issue and let me be on my way living on without a heater. For the most part this wasn t an issue because it s hot here most of the time, but come winter it left without heat. A year and a half later I m still with the same issue and now they have magically found the issue and want to charge me a literal arm and a leg to fix. Warranty aside I would like to think you would do your best to do your job the first time, but I guess that s not a thing here. Don t take your car back unless you get what you want or else you re out of luck and everything falls on you.

my 2019 Jett GLI was in an accident about a month ago. after 2 full weeks in the shop, we got it back in time for the move from idaho to california. unfortunately, the shop never completed the job, which included recalibrating the front assist sensors which are used to apply breaks in the event of a possible rear end collision. Clovis VW was able to get me in next day and fix the issue, in addition to fixing and updating the software on my vehicle. They were phenomenal!

My experience was with parts. I believe the gentleman who helped me was John. John was fantastic he was extremely helpful and patient. He found what I needed and ordered it. I had it the next day which was surprising because I ordered it Friday and had it Saturday. I had been to the other VW dealer in the area and was told I needed to buy a 120 part which was NOT WHAT I NEEDED. The part I needed was 12 dollars. Again John helped me find what I needed not something i didn't that was more expensive. I'm extremely happy with this dealership and will be doing all my dealings with them in the future. I have not purchased a vehicle from them nor have I tried the service department however I plan to do both in the future simply because of the excellent service I received from John and his apprentice in parts.

I had my tire slashed while in Los Angeles on business, they were able to replace it quickly, and it was far less than I expected to pay. Everyone is always SO kind there, I ve NEVER taken my vehicle to the dealership for service until I purchased my Tiguan from them, now I won t trust anyone else!

I purchased my vehicle from Clovis VW in January 2016. I recently took it in because the AC was not working properly. It ended up being covered under warranty and they fixed it. However, they called and told me something was wrong with my aftermarket battery and that the car was having difficulty starting. I explained that I purchased the vehicle from them brand new and the only battery that better be in my car is the one it came with. They said they would call me back to clarify. On the 2nd phone call they said oh the aftermarket battery belonged to a different car but your battery is bad also. Up to this point I had never had any troubles with my car starting or the battery. The service tech went on to tell them that after doing some research that he noticed I did not purchase the vehicle from them. At this point I said I did purchase it from them and the sales contract was still in the vehicle to get it out and look at it. He continued to say I did not buy it there. I told him do not touch my battery and that I would be there to get the car. About an hour later I called for the shuttle service to pick me up, The same service tech answered and at this time told me he was charging my battery after I told him to not touch it. I got to the dealership and now all of a sudden he has a picture of the battery in my car. My question is did he take this picture before the battery was taken out and before he called to tell me the wrong battery was in my car or after they realized they switched batteries. I also wanted to know if they put the wrong battery back in my car originally. The one they said was mine (aftermarket) which was not. He also went on to tell me about how my car was transferred in to the dealership which it was not. I went to the sales manager and had clarify that I purchased my car from them directly. Now all of a sudden my battery is dead 2 days later. I find this to be very suspicious especially since I never had trouble before. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. I had been in before and had great experiences so I never would have thought I would have to write this. Their remedy before I left was that they could sell me a battery at their cost but I would still need to pay the labor fee of approx. $73.00. This was not acceptable to me considering that I had not had troubles with my battery up to this point and they they did not know which battery was mine or if they put someone else's in my car or not.

Called service with a very specific problem for a Beetle. They had provided a very expensive key with very expensive programming a few months before. Key was not working. I was told it would have to be diagnosed at $165 and then the key may need to be reprogrammed at about $135. I said this was unacceptable. I looked on YouTube and read the manual closely. It was a common issue that took 1 minute to fix. Lierally, 1 minute. The service department is a fraud. If you need VW service, there are great places in Fresno - but avoid this place like the plague. I don't know if it was incompetence or flat out fraud, but neither is acceptable in a dealer's service department.

A customer brought me a 2004 VW beetle convertible in which the top was not functioning. she shows me an estimate from Clovis Volkswagen for $3063.00 to replace left and right flapper motors, the top position switch, the roof switch, and the left and right window motors. So they are pretty much saying everything that has to do with the top needs to be replaced. Well thanks for NOTHING Clovis VW! I had it diagnosed and repaired by someone obviously more competent, me!. The problem was (the main switch)=$64.00

Really professional here. I do windshield repair and these guys are great to do business with. They are really honest and transparent which is great qualities to look for in a dealership if you are thinking about a voltswagon for your next car this is the place to really consider about when shopping for your new car. I would give them more stars if I could.

I have never been to a dealer so unwilling to help...

I have never been to a dealer so unwilling to help...or even make a sale. I tried buying a car about 1 year ago. The desired car nor any variation was in inventory so they told me they would either acquire one or have one built for me. I even gave a liberal variety of options on color and accessories, but the dates they kept telling me would come and go. I was always the one to initiate contact, no apology or explanation as to why a vehicle had not been found. After almost 3 months of waiting, I went down to Galpin VW in northern Los Angeles, where they sold me a car the same day and have been very helpful throughout. To this day, I actually still have not heard back from Clovis VW regarding the car they had supposedly ordered. But my frustrations with Clovis VW aren't over...I bought an extended warranty on my vehicle and after three separate visits/attempts to have a covered warranty item replaced, Clovis VW continues to neglect to help in addressing the issue. The last parts/service employee went as far to manipulate the terms of my warranty to make it appear as though it is not covered. I most recently have settled the situation with the Galpin VW dealer going all the way down to their dealership in LA to have the part replaced. Bottom line is Clovis VW would rather lose customers than put in a little effort to fulfill simple customer service and sales issues. It's a bummer I had to spend my money in Los Angeles, but could find no other reasonable option.

Update 1/23/17 - Since my initial post (above), I have been back to Clovis VW service dept twice and had excellent service in these latest encounters (warranty replacement of tires and a parts recall). Both of these services were done in very appropriate amount of time (one of which I didn't even have an apt). Additionally, they remember me by name and are very cordial with me. This is a 100% improvement from my initial experiences and I find it important that I recognize this in my review.

Terrible experience Clovis Volkswagen refused to put a front license plate holder on my car. When I first got it didn't have one and now they won't put one on. They said I could buy one for $100. And speculated I had done something with the original. Not my idea of customer service.

After reading the reviews, I'm hoping the replacement of my Atlas' oil pan was done properly for the long haul. Honestly, if the work is not done by expert mechanics, there really isn't much of a reason to come here. 1. Expect to pay full price with little discounts. 2. Even if you tell them what parts failed or were damaged in an accident, they will still charge the inspection fee even if you decide to repair it here. 3. They don't wash your car no matter how many 1000's you spend on fully marked up parts and labor. 4. They don't have a shady place on their lot to hold your car for you to arrive or even put up your VW sun visor that was in place when the car was towed to them! 5. Communications leaves something to be desired, as I was hoping to be kept in the loop a little more as to things like my car arriving on the tow truck, when initial diagnosis was completed, etc.
