Clawson Honda of Fresno Review

My go-to place when my Fit needs servicing. This morning they're replacing a recalled passenger side airbag. Andrew Hernandez, in Service, was super friendly and kind. Waiting for a courtesy shuttle isn't too awful, because Starbucks Coffee and fresh donuts make the wait a sweet experience.

Thank you to Mercedes Diaz at Clawson Honda, my family and I have a new amazing addition to our family. We are in love! Mercedes made our car experience unforgettable. She was so helpful, informative and sincere. She also has the most bubbly personality. She made us laugh throughout the whole time. I recommend everyone to see Mercedes for your next car. I will definitely be returning in the future, all thanks to the amazing experience i had with Mercedes.

Mackenzie and Frank made our experience a pleasant one. It was quick and easy. I will recommend them to all my friends and families. Between us, friends and families, this is our 4th car here. We continue to be satisfied with the service.

I bought my car there back in 2016 and I added a extended service warranty so I go there every time to get my oil change and tire rotation done but I ve had a incident with my tires they re supposed to rotate the tires every time I get it serviced so they could wear out evenly but two weeks ago I went and after they were done with my car I drove back home and my front tires were making a noise it wasn t normal so basically the tires weren t rotated the previous times that I had taken my car in but on the invoice that I have from the past services they claimed they had done that work and I m sure that was false because if they did I wouldn t this issue, I took my car back in and they told me I was going to need new tires really!? That s all bad my tires are still original and barely has 46,000 miles on them. Another issue I had switched out a headlight due to a led going out had a warranty claim on it so I got a new headlight and I ve noticed my lights were off driving at night so I decided to check out the light bulbs and I end out finding out they had switched out one of the bulbs and before I took it in I had upgraded sylvania silverstar ultra bulbs installed which I paid about $40-$50 plus on them and they put a stock philips stock bulb instead so maybe they lost it or broke it and didn t tell me about it which they should have. These issues shouldn t be happening just makes you think if your cars actually in good hands or not. Come on Clawson Honda you guys can t be doing these kinds of things if this happened to me makes me wonder about all the other people that you re dealing with.

Excellent Sales Department... They do not have high pressure salespeople... They do have the best prices around!

Kevin in the Finance Department was super helpful. Very knowledgeable. I was having difficulty buying my first car out of state, and he helped me sort out the logistics very well. Worked with his manager to make sure I was taken care of. He had my best interest in mind and I appreciated that very much. Highly recommend Kevin with your car buying needs.

Nick ball had a forward and accommodating approach to meeting my needs was much appreciated. His knowledge of the vehicle and his ability to explain all the features and benefits helped me make a decision to buy.

Terribly disappointed in the way we were treated for a third lease. Our 14 Accord over the 3 years had numerous problems including a bad battery, bad starter, and the wipers split. We had to pay for the wipers, and we had to fight not to pay for the battery. A front tire had to be replaced, and we did not even get a pro-rate on it paying nearly 120 for it. This despite the lease about to end. They try and charge you for everything, even though most problems should have been covered under the 3 year warranty. Then to top it off we were told a 17 Accord LX on a 3 year lease would cost us a ridiculous 321.00. They would not even give us a residual on the 14 to lower our payment. I could say more, but you get the message. This was a terrible way to treat returning customers who are suppose to be "VIP's." Go to Honda Noth. We got a really good deal on a 17 Accord LX in Burgundy. The car rides like a gem. They even threw in our first oil change.

Today on August 3rd, 2014, I drove off in my new 2014 Honda Pilot. The help I received from Clawson Honda of Fresno began on Saturday with the help of Garo Tateosian. I told Garo exactly what I was looking for, and he delivered! Garo Tateosian hunted down my car and brought it to the dealership. I was always kept informed regarding the status of my car. Garo Tateosian was hardworking, diligent, patient, knowledgeable, and understanding with all of my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better salesmen to have with during the purchase of my first vehicle. Garo Tateosian made this whole process quick and easy and our next car purchase for my husband will be from Garo Tateosian at Clawson Honda of Fresno! Every person we met at the dealership were welcoming and helpful the entire time we were there. They all really worked great as a team. We also enjoyed the help given to us by Rigo Espinoza in the Finance Department. He was able to offer us a great finance deal through a local credit union better than what we originally came with. Lastly, we had great help from Benny Walker. He took into consideration all of our needs, desires and recognized my husband's military service. I just want to say thank you to everyone and when we go to purchase my husband's Honda Civic, we will come to Clawson Honda of Fresno! We highly recommend purchasing your new or used vehicles through this amazing team at Clawson Honda!

Be aware their warranty looks good but is a joke. I will never ever buy a car or any vehicle from them again.

This was my first time bringing in my Honda for a repair with no appointment, and Alex was kind enough to take me in and help through the entire process. Would highly recommend him, great customer service and very friendly.

Jesus Lopez was an astounding salesman. He got me & my wife the best deal the valley had to offer. He was extremely nice, hardworking & transparent throughout the whole process. When we walked out of the dealership we felt well taken care of. Our credit or income isn t the best & yet he still got us an amazing deal. I definitely recommend buying your car from here & be sure to specifically ask for Jesus!

my wife and i met up with Debbie, this was our first time looking at cars over the past 10 years. She took her time going over the car and answer our questions. We walked a way with out buying. Wanted more time to think about our purchase. There was NO Sale person pressure here. Ask for Debbie and you won't have any worries.

UNPLANNED CAR PURCHASE.
My brother and I went in last Thursday, May 18 at around 6:30pm for him to test drive a Honda Civic Hatchback Sport and apply for a pre-approval since he is a first-time car-buyer with credit for less than a year. We wanted to know whether he needed a co-signer and wanted to know what to look at regarding his monthly payments and downpayment.

Cynthia, the sales rep. who accommodated us, was very helpful and was very knowledgable of her products, she made us feel very comfortable throughout the test drive and the process of getting pre-approved. My brother's application went through and was told his monthly payment of the car would be around $540 under a 10.9% APR. We said okay, we'll just come back in a few months so my brother could get chance and improve his credit, and to get a lower APR.

Cynthia insisted, she asked what my brother's desired payment was and how much he could put in at that very moment. He said he wanted a payment of less than $450 and could only put down $1500. Cynthia left for a moment and came back with their manager, Ryan Day. Ryan offered us the car my brother test drove, but my brother was willing to wait later for a White Hatchback Sport 6-speed (we test drove a Red Hatchback Sport CVT) with the same monthly payments under 10.9%. We said we'll just come back whenever the white one comes in.

Ryan insisted and left for a few minutes, and comes back with a very very good deal. The Red Hatchback Sport that we test drove for less than $450 a month and way less than 10.9% APR. We almost said yes, but my brother didn't want to spend all the money that he has at that moment for the downpayment. Ryan told us that we could take the car home tonight and pay the downpayment 2 weeks after.

We were getting too excited for this until my brother realized he still had to buy insurance since it's his first car, then we told Ryan. Ryan offered us a FREE WHOLE MONTH of FULL COVERAGE car insurance. How can you even resist this deal? My brother ended up signing paperworks of purchase of the car until we finished business at almost 11:30pm.

We thank Clawson Honda of Fresno for such a spectacular costumer service, and staying up way later than your closing time (8:00pm). I admire your employees' work ethic and hospitality. To Cynthia Guerrero, Ryan Day, Antonio, and Mitchel, you guys are awesome! (I recommend you guys buying a car at Clawson to ask/look for them)

Clawson's crew really deserves more than a 5 star rating. This is the best experience I've ever had in purchasing a vehicle. I was extremely impressed with how I was able to select which cars I wanted to view online before even reaching the lot and even more impressed when those cars were pulled out ready for me to test drive when we arrived.

Ben Takash (who is the BDC Supervisor for Clawson) was our Salesperson and was AMAZING. My husband and I both appreciated his kind, honest, and upfront approach. Kevin assisted us with the finance portion and was equally kind and efficient.

If asked I would refer any friend or family member to Clawson Honda. Buying a car can be an extremely time consuming and painful process but I can happily say that the Clawson Honda crew made it a really great experience.

Excellent and trouble free experience. Renae was extremely helpful in making me feel comfortable flying from San Diego to Fresno to buy a used vehicle. She sent me several photos, and was very candid about any minor cosmetic issues with the vehicle so there were no surprises when I got to the dealership. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the dealership and especially Renae!

I've bought two cars and my daughter bought her car from Clawson Honda. Not only was the car buying experience excellent but having to follow up and get my car serviced was amazing as well! My experience at Clawson was the best experience I ve had at any dealership as of yet. All of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The best part of the experience is that I was there for less two hours which is unheard of. My previous experiences at another dealership has been sitting around for hours waiting for the paperwork to be processed .

The first time I was there they couldn't help me out ,Antonio was rude as hell rushing me out the place because we looked broke . 2 weeks later I go back with 2500 dollars for a down payment with Rachel she was professional and nice. How do you leave a no star review? The complete buying experience from beginning to end was horrible. Finance manager told us we had to pay an extra $1000 for the color vehicle we requested due to the company losing money on the vehicle because their floor manager had promised a car that wasn't available. Sales person was uneducated on vehicle specs and didn't know/didn't get the information on questions being asked. Sales desk stated a car was available to run our credit and then the car was suddenly unavailable and we were told we HAD to choose one of two vehicles, both did not meet the criteria we had set before they ran the credit. Very sad the sales and service here is so bad considering we already have purchased 2 cars from this dealership!!!

My wife and I made an appointment to get a simple oil change and tire rotate.
They said it take 2 hours which I thought was rather long for an easy service. We waited 2 hours without even a status update. After 2 hours i went to ask the service advisor and he told me it was just finished but waiting for the car wash.
I wish he would ve came to give any updates or recommendations for my car within that 2 hour. I still think it s a really long time to wait for an oil change and tire rotate especially since I had an appointment to start.
As of writing this review our car isnt done and we ve been waiting for 2.5 hours.

I was helped by Mercedes again for the second time coming for a car and her professionalism and the company s is beyond amazing they really took care of me and went above and beyond I will always come here and refer anyone to them

Excellent Service. I purchase my Accord from there several years ago and went to get my services there for the first 100,000 on my car. They never disappointed.

The other day I needed to reactivate my Accord's stereo, due to replacing the battery. I called Honda North, they refused to give me the code, even though I had the stereo's serial code with me. I called Clawson Honda, Steve from parts gave it to me within two minutes. Long story short, don't waste time with anyone else, even Honda North. Every time I need something, Clawson has been there for the life of my Honda.

Vanessa at Clawson Honda was great! She made our buying experience easy and stress free. Kevin in finance was very quick and easy to work with as well.

Great place very helpful people and I got a great deal on my new car I loved it.

Returned to dealership because of the great deal my mother got years back. Went to get a Ridgeline early on in its release and even though inventory was limited they really helped me get the options I wanted. The service has been phenomenal since! Had a few issues (all new cars do) and was able to handle all of them by texting my salesman Jacob. He scheduled appointments and looked into rebates all at the drop of a text. You can't ask for more than that.

Initial sales people I was dealing with were a little pushy, and I had to keep reiterating what I wanted rather than have them try to sway my decision to a different model that I did not like which wasted some time. The manager Ryan went above and beyond to make the sale and to ensure that I was 100% happy when I left in my beautiful new Civic.

I came to Clawson not even thinking I d get approved, but I did. Considering my credit I thought I wouldn t be able to get anything but I took the chance and I actually waited to save some more for a bigger down payment and I love the Honda I got! Low tire pressure alert appeared on my dash today and I made an unplanned stop at Clawson Honda for a check on tire pressure. Discovered a nail embedded on the inside wall (not on tread) that could not be fixed for safety concerns. Purchased a new original tire at a competitive price. Sal Martinez as usual, provided professional service along with providing a fix for a Honda recall. I had no appointment and yet had me on my way in a timely manner.

As always, excellent service completed in the estimated time frame.

The management sales team was effective and very helpful and willing to work with myself and my girl. Making me feel comfortable even when I'm trying to find anywhere I can to not make a deal. For the last week I have been working with Rachel Behrens and Greg Morelos. They both were fantastic not once did I fill pushed pressured or forced to buy or commit to anything. I cancelled my appointments many times and most would have gave up helping at all. They made time for myself when I was available and answered any questions I had. So last night I finally made it into the showroom and was very well taken care of by Rachel other than they ran out of donuts (lol) it was 6pm she showed myself every vehicle that was the style that I wanted and drove many of them. Rachel went out of her way to make me feel very welcome so I bought the car I wanted :) thank you for employing people such as Rachel and Greg.

They will tell you that they have a dealership and have their own repair facility. They told us if anything happens we don t have to take it anywhere because they have a full service dealership here. Lies lies lies. THEY DO NOT FIX ANYTHING ELSE BUT HONDAS. If you buy anything that is not a Honda they will not fix it or even take a look at it. After problems and problems with this car Honda sends us away to another dealership. Not once but Twice. The car would die out of no where if your on the highway or road. The car would turn off and the power would die leaving the car with no power to steer. Dangerous. Both dealership gave us problems. Been over 2 weeks and no car. No loaner or rental. Been ubering everywhere. Very unhappy mad upset and angry! You have been warned! All the promise they make you is all bs! Engine for life warranty bs! Warrenty bs! Customer service even more bs! More like buy here we get your money get out of here we No see you again! They ll push you away and would never deal with the situation only blaming others or the car. Why sell us a car and tell us you can fix it. Then when it s broken just days after driving off the lot you tell us we don t have the tools to work on your car? Then don t Sell the dam thing! Why are you lying to sell cars? We will be filing a complaint over this false advertising. This has caused us so much headaches and frustration. I ll be on social media sharing our experiences as well. Please do not buy a car from Honda. They will not fix your car. They will make you take it somewhere else to burn your wallet. With no loaner or rental we have been Ubering everywhere. Don t buy a car from them. Watch out for thier hook and sinker. Well take care of it really means your own your own sucker!

Honestly speaking this is the best dealer in the Fresno County area, I have been to almost every dealer in the region and none come close to comparing. You will never meet staff more committed to making sure you are 100 % satisfied with the vehicle you are interested in purchasing. My family has purchased 3 vehicles from this dealer a 2012 Accord, 2012 Pilot, and most recently a 2015 Chevy Camaro, all three of these vehicles have been amazing and haven't shown a single problem, they only have the highest quality vehicles in stock and never disappoint in quality. They have an outstanding service department that is quick, efficient, and always get the job done. So for starters, I do not have any type of social media nor make any type of reviews, ever! I use Yelp on a daily basis and even then have never wrote a review. I just feel like my experience was so pleasant that I want to share it with future consumers.

Sales guy: Charvon Srey. Young, funny, professional, informative and attentive. I straight up told him from the beginning what my intentions were. And that was to just take a look at my trading options. I wasn't even serious about purchasing a new vehicle as I already had a brand new 2016 HRV that I enjoyed. Even knowing this his professionalism and kindness did not waver. He continued to ask questions about what I wanted, what I expected, etc.

Although I wasn't rude, I made it very aware that I was ONLY interested in a 2017 Honda CR-V EX AWD and that I did not want to be convinced to upgrade, etc. I also sternly made him aware that I had a very strict payment limit and that I was not willing to budge whatsoever. His answer to that was "Of course, we're going to try our best to give you what you want within the parameters that you've set."

Long story short, after about 2 hours, I walked out of the dealership without the car. The payment did not meet my limit. Like I said, I was not in a desperate situation for a car. Even after two hours of his time and telling him "no" he continued his professionalism and kindness. He even walked me to my car!

We continued to communicate about the car the very next day. Ryan ( amazing number cruncher!) worked some magic and offered a deal and interest rate a lot closer to what I was expecting. Like seriously, they were approximately $50 above my limit. Like a jackhole, I continued to refuse to budge. Charvon did not push. While at work I kept thinking about it all day and finally I came to the conclusion that the service and professionalism provided to me, even with my crazy demands and slightly unrealistic expectations of a payment, was invaluable. Any other salesman and finance manager would have heard my intentions and demands and told me to kick rocks. Charvon did not.

So I purchased the vehicle! Yay me! I LOVE it.

Also, to show the extent of Charvon's professionalism and friendliness- I came to the dealership at 5:20PM to sign the papers and told him I needed to be out by 6PM. I know, I'm a total jackhole for expecting the trade in and car buying experience to end in 40minutes. I've had three brand new cars in two years and should have known that it was a super unrealistic expectation. You know what Charvon said? He straight up told me that though he doesn't think that will be the case, he's going to try everything possible to make it happen. It didn't happen. BUT, he tried his very best and I could tell.

I left the dealership at 8PM! Charvon helped me transferred my "garbage" from my HRV to my new CR-V. Poor guy. When he walked up to help me I opened my trunk and I can just see in his face like "Holy bejesus." It was a hot mess. Again, even after he's made the sale, he continued to be ever so helpful. He politely helped me transfer my items, looked under all of my seats for anything i may be missing. He even looked through some of the trash and had me confirm if I wanted them. Such a sweet guy and awesome salesman!

This is my first review ever and as far as I can tell, it's a lot longer than most...oh well. I had to share my awesome experience.

Went into clawson honda to just see what it would take to get me the car I've always wanted a Honda CR V, Mercedes helped me and she is an awesome saleswoman she got me the car with some great deals, also the gentlemen that said we can make the deal and to the other gentlemen in accessories department , thank you to all I love my car, I had a 2017 honda civic and that car sits low now in my new CR V I can see the road lines. From looking at the car we were interested in thru purchase....first class! No pressure, no hassle. The Clawson staff that helped us knew the vehicle inside out and we compared other makes/models too. Great experience....will go back next time we need a car.

This company implements the most predatory sales tactics I have ever seen. If I had a legal background I would seriously consider looking into whether or not they are even abiding by the law.

I was surrounded by multiple salesmen all pressuring me into a sale which at the time would have been a huge financial mistake. I told them repeatedly that I would need to make some calls since this would be a family decision and I was barraged with insults to my masculinity as they ridiculed the fact that I couldn t make the decision on my own.

I ended up going to Honda North just 10 min down the street and got the same car for $50/mo cheaper. What a joke

11/16/19 Tag 2971. Mechanic Roberto Silva refuse to rotate tires on a car that have not been rotated for over 13k miles. Service advisor Marisol Cabrera failed to even bring this up and refused to return a message left on 11/13/19 to ask her why she support this action. There is a big difference between treads on the front tires and rear tire wear. Not sure why they would do this and waste my time.

The staff was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. We'll definitely go back for our next car.
