Clawson Honda of Fresno Review

Love my 2021 Honda Passport Sport. Husband and I were looking for something in a midsize vehicle, aside from all the deals Clawson has to offer, I wasn t sure on what we wanted at the time. Fortunately for us we had a very helpful sales personnel *Dulce, she was patient and helpful in making our purchase at ease. Finally a decision was made and never looked back. Now I m just enjoying the ride with a quality vehicle & satisfying buy from Clawson Honda. Staying as a Honda Family we are very happy with now our 5th purchase from Clawson.

Walked in on a Saturday to purchase the car I had been looking at for almost a month. Asked the salesman where it was and he laughed at me and said it was "gone". He seemed pretty pleased with himself and walked away. My boyfriend also had a bad experience with this Honda location. Glad I didn't purchase my car from them!

So disappointed in my treatment lately. I'm having issues with my 2016 HR-V and so I took it in to have them check it out on 8-8-2017. I was told that they would order the part and it would take about a week. I have called numerous times to find out if the parts are in and I've left numerous messages. No one has returned my calls and unfortunately I'm still having issues. First time I've felt completely let down by this place. So very sad. Not sure what to do now.

I went for non appointment for oil change and service suck for non appointment. If you drive in and they have already reached their number, they won't accept and will turn you away. I went in 2 days straight and turned down both days. I went over to Honda North for oil change instead. They were busy too but they don't turn down customers or say no to customers. Honda North it is. Honda North even gave me a courtesy wash which clawson never offer.

Honda North did a terrible oil change too. Don't go there as well. Stay home and do your own oil change. Found out Honda North did not tighten up my oil pan bolt, causing oil loss and oil light on. Just don't go to Clawson Honda and Honda North.
Also Clawson Honda Part department suck. They'll make you wait ridiculously long with no one helping you and everyone just kinda stares at you if you need help.
But service team is awesome.

If you don't check out the brakes and the fluids they will screw you everything. Best thing to do is drive by and keep going

Bought my 2019 Lexus IS350 F Sport from Clawson. It was one of the best experiences I have had when car buying. They were honest and very fair with my trade in.

Be forewarned: every car you buy here is equipped with the RedAlert system. All it does is make your third brake light blink on and off when you brake. This modification is widely available online for less than $20 (10 minutes to install it yourself), and they make you pay $800 for it.

Terrible service! The salesman was great. However, after sitting down and discussing numbers with a manager, it became ugly. I kept asking for out the door cost of the vehicle and he only responded with monthly cost. i gave him an offer and laughed at me. It was only my first offer and really didn't appreciate the service, especially since he started down talking other dealers like Lithia Subaru of Fresno. Would have given 0 stars!

My wife had a terrible experience buying a used car. We were constantly lied to. When we bought the car we paid extra money to have the bumper repainted and we were very clear that we were picky and wanted the paint perfect and they said sure no problem. When we went to pick up the car the paint had bumps, fish eyes and new scratches. We said we wanted it fixed and they replied it was good as is and if we wanted it perfect we should have found a nice shop to do it. A nice shop? Shouldn t they be taking it to a nice shop to fix it to begin with! We were also told the car went through safety inspection and everything worked and on our way home both tail lights did not work. On this particular car you have to replace the entire tail light assembly when it does not work, you cannot just replace the bulb and it costs $750 a tail light. We called them in our way home and they said they would fix. We took it in and I told them when we dropped it off I would not pick it up until the tail lights were replaced. They called me and said both tail lights were replaced and I could pick it up. When I got there neither tail light was replaced and they did not work, I even had one of their employees witness it and he said if you still have issues you can bring it back and I said well they ares till not working so I will leave it here. When I called the following day to check on it and asked why they said the tail lights were replaced when they were not Andy I know this because I inspected them and the exact same scratches that were on the tail lights when I dropped it off were still they. They responded they witnessed them being replaced, a complete lie. So now here I sit waiting for them to actually fix the tail lights because it is illegally here in California to sell the car to me with faulty safety equipment. They also tried to tell me they replaced the bulbs, which cannot be done on these tail lights. I have never had such a terrible experience and I have purchased quite a few cars at dealer and usually they try to make you happy. Stay away from Clawson they will tell you all kinds of lies to sell you a car and not follow through. I have also never dealt with a painter who refused to fix his mistakes and I have dealt with at six paint shops and every one has fixed the paint until I was happy.

Such great customer service. Madeleine, Jesus, and Sheila definitely knows what they are doing. We told them exactly what we wanted & what we were working with & they made it happened !! We went in wanting a used car, but walked out with a brand new car !! I ve been telling all my friends & coworkers about them. If you want to be in good hands, these 3 are the ones !!!

I purchased a new car from them a couple of months ago and the experience was great.
Jon K. was my salesperson, and in no way do I want this review to reflect negatively on him because he was patient and guided me through the process without making me feel pressured.
Fast forward two weeks after everything was finalized and I get a call from the finance manager saying that they made a mistake when they financed my car and they need to resign me for a higher interest rate but a "lower bottom line price," to make up for the inconvenience.
Obviously I was skeptical and after getting into contact with my bank and a lawyer I discovered that this is a common scam car dealerships use.
Basically they tried to squeeze an extra $700 out of me, according to the lawyer who ran the numbers.

I'm very disappointed with their lack of transparency and trying to be sneaky. Do not fall for this scam.

I drove up to the service window the day before Thanksgiving, 2015, with a loosened front bumper. Service supervisor told me to rent a car for my Thanksgiving travel, as they wouldn't be able to do this "body work." This despite my parents and I having bought 3 Hondas from Clawson over the years and having routine service consistently done with them. Fresno Body Work fixed it in half an hour. My letter to Manuel Prieto, the Clawson manager went unacknowledged. Need I say that Clawson is now dead to me and my family?

Do NOT buy your next car here! The managers are dishonest and do not process your loan as agreed. I've had my car for a few weeks and I was shocked when my 1st car payment arrived from a bank that I did not agree to. I had a pre approval letter from my bank. When signing the loan, I was told that my bank was going to finance my car. Ive since received alerts notifying me that my credit was run after I specifically told the manager not to run It! Now they're telling me there's nothing they can do to get my loan to my bank and that I would need to refinance my car if I wanted the loan transferred. Honestly I wish I would've gone to a honest car lot. Save yourself the stress and skip this place when car shopping.

Not my favorite thing to do. ..wait on car maintenance, but Clawson makes it tolerable with friendly service and honest prices. It's further from my house than the other dealership, but I would rather come here. Shuttle service is available.

Best HONDA dealership!! Family atomosphere! We have bought 2 vehicles from Clawson, the sales representative and staff are very professonal. They also have a GREAT auto service department for oil changes, brakes, etc. I highly recommend CLAWSON HONDA.
