Beautiful hotel and a prime location overlooking the quay! My only real complaint was that i had to have my room card rekeyed everyday, it never worked, which was a real hassle. Pricey.

Very comfortable dining area but not my cup of tea menu, sorry I was there for our Christmas lunch,
Two stars because they used to have an amazing outdoor space and now it's just a construction zone
Excellent location for those who want tranquility but also proximity to the center .... 10 minutes on foot!
Brand new hotel, fantastic room, spacious bathroom and equipped with everything!
Sky channels in the room and coffee available.
Excellent sound insulation.
Very nice bar, warm atmosphere with fireplace and soft music.
The staff are ALL very nice and helpful.
Highly recommended!
Been to Spencer for an office event. TBH, didn't really get a chance to fully explore the Hotel, however, the staff was friendly, main entrance and the lobby was well designed, auditorium was well set. All in all, the Hotel looks well managed.
This comment is related only to restaurant. Simply excellent lunch experience with my daughter. Reasonably priced but food top notch and service to boot. Try it.
Really enjoyed our stay the Spencer hotel, staff were really friendly, rooms were clean and bed very comfy, only a short walk from the city centre and about a 25 min bus ride to the airport
Very comfortable & pleasant stay. Great breakfast. Spacious gym & swming pool. Perfect location for Bord Gais Energy Theatre, 3 Arena & Convention Centre. 30 min walk to Aviva Stadium. 10 min walk to Connolly Station.
Pretty restaurant, great service. Food was a bit disappointing though
Actually this was a nice and perfect hotel for my stay in Dublin with a great view and great location. in case if I come to Dublin again I will stay in the same hotel.
Beautiful hotel, fantastic service, very helpful staff, spacious rooms we had a wheelchair accessible room and it was very nice and the bathroom was totally adapted with a level access shower. We had a lovely view of the liffey and the Jeanie Johnson tall ship from our bedroom window. Very easy to get to the luas to get into the city. The food was delicious. We didn't use the leisure facilities this time but it will be on our agenda for our next visit.
updated nicely and friendly staff. in center of everything
Good hotel.
The room was clean, however it lacked some care.
Some forniture was damaged.
Staff was very good and the bar with a very good selection of whiskey.
The best place if you are visiting there conference center
Great location, fantastic swimming pool and spa, all included. It's a great place to stay in Dublin!
Stayed in October and it was really cold most of the time and there was building works going on that had builders slamming doors on the level at 6am every morning - o did ask to move and was moved but I couldn't get away from it
Other than that the rooms where decent and the staff couldn't have been kinder
Pleasant hotel with a very good location. The personnel is very friendly and courteous.
Quite a nice hotel with good prices for they're rooms. The check in is 3 pm and there is no lift in the building even if it haves 3 floors. Also you will have to carry your own luggage . They have a nice pub with live music on weekends and the food is not too pricy. They make good cocktails and the staff is ok.
Modern hotel, with huge ambiances and with great detail. Hair dryer, clothes iron, coffee maker with capsules, flat screen TV, all kinds of amenities. Spa, pool and a gym with more than 50 super modern machines and free classes, only you have to sign up in advance. Highly recommended Walking 15 minutes from the Temple Bar area. The Airlink stops next door. Ideal if you go to the congress center but want to also do tourism.
Great.IFSC located.Overlooking Liffey. We had a christmas dinner there in 2015. Food sucked on Christmas dinner.Rush, rush
Nice hotel, staff are really lovely. Restaurant was a bit disappointing. Allergen info not displayed and quite limited choices if you have special dietry requirements. In a lovely area of city, although street facing rooms very noisy due to ongoing works outside.
A very nice, clean hotel, perfect for business trips! Location close to the financial centre and most Dublin offices.
Very nice hotel. Nice rooms very clean. Especially on a business trip this is very important. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Lovely hotel with great service. Staff is wonderful and goes out of their way to help guests. Rooms very comfortable.
Overnight stay, long delay with food order, rooms a bit drab, Pool area dark and uninviting. Handy for 3 Arena.
I stayed at the Spencer hotel for 2 nights. I don't use credit cards so I paid for my entire stay during check-in. This was obviously confusing to the check in agent, who was incredibly rude during the process. During the first night of my two-night stay I discovered the air conditioning did not work. I did not have enough time to report this the next morning before I left for my day excursion. Upon my immediate return to the hotel, I reported the non-functioning AC and asked for maintenance to be sent to my room. I was told a request would be put in and this would happen within an hour. The request was NEVER put in and maintenance did not show up. It was now 10pm with no AC. When checking out the next morning, I requested to speak to the manager. I was notified that he was the manager on duty for the previous night, and my maintenance request was never put in. He refused to do anything to accommodate me for the 2 nights without AC or the lack of his staff to put in and follow up on a guest request. Severely disappointed with the service. My family is in the hotel industry and a guest would never be treated like this. I booked through Expedia and put a claim through Expedia so they would help me resolve the issue, as the hotel was clearly not interested. Expedia said they could not reach the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL NOT GET GOOD SERVICE. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM THEY WILL NOT WORK TO HELP YOU FIX IT
Lovely staff, very helpful and friendly. Room was fantastic, clean and spacious. Very convienent for the city centre which is a 10 minute walk.
Great customer service. We showed up early and were allowed to check in early. Bed was comfortable and great pillows. Health club hours were poor on the weekends, guests should be allowed to use gym 24 hrs. We had a balcony room however entire balcony was covered by construction so we couldn't see anything. Great location by buses and train within walking to many restaurants.
Good food, but crumble fruits in desserts were not good
Very comfortable room & great facilities and amenities. Breakfast was lovely, the waitress Ivana was particularly nice and helpful. Pool & jacuzzi etc was great. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is very good - all new, rooms are relatively big, the staff is polite and the food is great. It is not in the center of Dublin, but about 10-15 minutes walk in a relatively quite area. The AirLink bus from airport has a stop right near the hotel, and there is also a tram station in a few minutes of walk.
Very good. Breakfast great with lots of choice ppus kids eat free! Fabulous views from room. Changing rooms could do with a good clean.
Great hotel. A friendly atmosphere, excellent amenities, hearty breakfast. Beautiful spa with jacuzzi pool
Ground floor room with no light.
Ugly bathroom like in an hospital.
The food is Thai and it's the best Nasi gerong I've ever had, The staff are polite and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing for a lunchtime meal.
Lacking in atmosphere or any real soul to it. Pleasant staff. Good for corporate event hosting I guess
Huge bed, friendly staff, great breakfast, amazing location would definitely recommend
The Spencer Hotel has a great location in Dublin really close to all major attractions. The hotel staff were very pleasant and the room was gorgeous. Very clean, all the amenities you need for a business trip or for leisure. Would definitely stay there again especially with the view of the Liffey is stunning.
This was a lovely hotel that really made a great base for our anniversary weekend. Room with a balcony was so worth it! The proximity to the city centre and bus/train station were perfect. Not 5 stars as there was some room for improvement. But definitely wouldn't hesitate to visit this hotel again.
Very good location. Rooms have a beautiful view and the cocktails are great
Maybe I was expecting too much but we paid a lot of money to stay here and while there was nothing fundamentally wrong, I was disappointed. Hotel looks nice but it needs some tlc, bit scruffy here and there. Thought the room was a bit small for what we paid, felt more like a premier inn room tbh. Nice river view though and good location for 3Arena. Breakfast was lovely, if a little chaotic but lots to choose from. Didn't eat here but restaurant looked very popular. Staff very nice. Bar didn't stay open very late.
Beautiful hotel about a mile from the Temple Bar District. Impeccably clean. Daily breakfast at the lobby is excellent. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable about anything you ask. Expensive but all hotels in Dublin are expensive.
Fantastic location, right on the river. Hotel was comfortable with a nice bar. Great breakfast bar as well. Easy access to transit.
Loved everything staff, food, room, so friendly. Well worth every penny. You get what you pay for.
Nice place. Good if you're in town for financial services business.
Don't stay here if you are bringing a car. They leave people stuck in the basement car park with no way out, stuck behind a gate they control. Then you talk to reception for help, the sound quality is so bad on the intercom that its not possible to communicate. When they can't hear you then they just ignore.
This is dangerous and a serious health and safety issue. Disgraceful
Modern well placed business hotel busy and comfortable.
Great hotel, large rooms for European standards, very modern, lobby bar was excellent and very vibrant.
Lovely hotel and service, nothing to much to ask . cocktail bar and spa...fab!
Nice cocktail menu. Restaurant is lovely too. Nice asian fare. Large portions. Staff were helpful
This hotel is located in a great part of the city. It is on the airport express bus line, so you literally get of at the stop which is across the road. The rooms are spacious, clean and super comfy. I stayed during December which was quite cold, so in addition to room heating I asked for a heater in the room. I slept like a baby. The reception is open and inviting. The staff are friendly and well presented. There's a gym, pool and sauna room so you can relax and unwind after a long day of meetings or activities.
My friend and I were stuck for a taxi. The lovely man working behind the desk at 1am on the 16th of June was so friendly and accommodating and let us sit in the foyer while we waited. Such a gent
Currently staying here. Dirty bathroom, pee stains on floor and toilet seat. First thing I did when I got to the room was to check the bathroom and it's cleanliness. Unfortunately, not clean. Toilet seat covered in pee stains (I hope that's all it was), as well as the floor around it. This just means that they DID NOT CLEAN THE BATHROOM. They left a half used roll of toilet paper for us, which is disgusting. Changed the towels and soap and that's it.
I cleaned toilet seat myself, but I asked front desk if they can have the bathroom cleaned again. When I got back to my room, the bathroom was left exactly as I left it. Garbage was left and towels were left on floor. I called and asked if they actually came to clean and they said yes. Clearly they didn't come. Really bad first impression and will obviously not come back.
Great location and a lovely buffet breakfast will definitely be back.
The hotel is a modern building within walking distance of Dublin City centre. Food and service were both very good
Simply perfect, rooms spotless and everything u could want. Housekeeping 5* . breakfast buffet best ever . would highly recommend.
Great location. Walking distance from Temple Bar (an area with a jillion pubs, cafes, restaurants, shopping, etc) and Trinity College with several nearby pedestrian bridges to cross the river. The very cool looking convention center is only a couple of buildings away. Friendly, helpful front desk staff though the hotel doesn't maintain a concierge. Nondescript exterior but the riverfront balcony rooms are great. The bar is well-stocked and reasonably priced especially for a boutique hotel. There's a small, well-stocked M&S grocery store only 2-3 minutes away on foot. The public tram red line just behind the hotel will take travelers to the Guinness brewery et al, and the nexus with the green line is only a few stops away. In addition, there are stops for the city buses as well as for several "hop on, hop off" tour companies outside the front door of the hotel. On a side note: Dublin's economy is apparently booming. Many (most?) of the service workers are non-Irish though still universally friendly and there are widespread cranes and pieces of heavy equipment throughout the city.
Toilets were dirty. Low lighting doesn't fool me. I worked as a chambermaid in my student days. Otherwise comfortable meeting space..I was there during business hours. Would prob give four stars if it wasn't for the loos.
Lovely room, very helpful staff and a delicious meal in the restaurant
Still one of the better-run hotels in Dublin with a very decent bar serving cocktails.
Great hotel, OK location. Convenient to Lucas stop (if it's ever running) and close to a local spar. Probably the best hotel if you're attending an event at the point/3 arena.
I work at the hotel, as an assistant at breakfast. Breakfast is buffet, very varied, of quality and very fresh.
I have stayed at the Spencer twice now for business (first time was 3 years ago, and the last time was approximately 3 months ago). It is evident that the hotel has aged in that period of time, and unfortunately during my last stay I was met with an unexpected charge on my account when checking out. Due to a mix-up that was not explained when I first checked in, the hotel charged an "upgrade" fee of 50 Euro per night for the entire week that I stayed. When checking in, this "upgrade" was described as a one-time fee to upgrade my room for 1 night as I had 2 separate reservations that I wanted to combine into a consistent stay (i.e. not change rooms mid-stay). At check-out, this 50 Euro charge per night was on my bill and after explaining the situation with the manager on duty the "best they could do" was cut that in half to 25 Euro a night. The Manager also explained that the person who checked me in had since quit during the week of my stay (to which I thought, isn't this more evidence that they did not do a good job explaining this "upgrade" at check-in...). I feel cheated as I thought the charge would be for one night, and ended up having to pay $200 USD out of pocket as I could not expense these charges.
Friendly staff, good selection of fusion food, food is fine and portions average to fair. Can be busy during lunchtime and may be necessary to book.
Nice hotel in centre of Dublin with decent rooms and food
