Fresh hotel with really good breakfast! Fragrant rooms and good service.

Incredibly good service! Got doggy behind the breakfast when I fasted before the X-ray. It decided everything = + 5 in rating. A kettle in the room had been great

One of the central hotels in Uppsala is Clarion Gillet. It is located moments away from the heart of the town and most of the sights, both the Linnaeus museum and Cathedral is no more than a 5 minute walk and the train station is a 10 minute walk away. The decor and furniture is Scandinavian styled and very functional focussed. The renovated rooms are nice, sizeable and well designed with a good working area and for the bigger rooms a seating corner. The are plenty of power sockets and wardrobe space and all the rooms have safes and a minibar as well as an iron. The TV's are big and have a good selection of channels. There is a small gym on the first floor with a couple of machines and weights but the area is quite small. The breakfast is extensive and good and lots of fresh fruits in addition to the traditional food. There is a bar and a restaurant on the lobby level and the prices are reasonable and as an elite member you get money to spend in the restaurant daily. All in all a very good budget hotel in the centre of town.

Noisy staff and lunch were cash. Nothing to recommend.

Small room and a very small bathroom. Felt expensive for the service offered. The continental breakfast on the other hand showed plenty to eat, well presented. Spa and such extras were closed due to covid, not helping the grade thereof.

Badly tidy hotel room, the welcome wine in the room was an empty bottle, the bath slippers for the SPA were 2 left flaps, a round of towels were taken, in the bathtub there were 2 1/2 m long dark hairs, I am short-haired intermediate lace.
When pointing to the front desk, there was no regret just a casual shrug, no hint of compensation or apology.

Excellent hotel with a very varied and tasty breakfast. And the rooms are big :)

Clarion is always Clarion! Spacious, well-appointed rooms. Great service and great staff. Excellent breakfast. Very centrally located, and with direct access to the garage on the basement floor.

Loved the room, the douche is super cool *raind douche. The food was super cool loved the dinner and morning buffed!
Very fair price for such rich meals and nice stay.

Ok but awful pillows according to my liking ... restaurant closed unfortunately

At the hotel breakfast at the restaurant, it was good and there was plenty to choose from but I would have liked more vegetarian options and vegan soybean and oatmeal.

Although it's a nice hotel, something in the hotel caused me and other guests to have allergic reactions, such as gritty eyes, sniffles etc. Maybe it's the beds, maybe the ventilation. This made the stay tiring.

But the service is excellent and the food is very good.

The food was not so good unfortunately & the staff seemed stressed out. However, the room was very nice & the atmosphere was really good.

Newly renovated rooms. Change breakfast to brunch, definitely worth being able to sleep until 10:30 and then eat a super brunch

Their brunch is very nice. Good hot and cold options and friendly staff. The dessert table is what has the highest improvement potential, but overall a very good brunch. Uppsala's best?

Everything absolutely perfect except for some poorly washed crockery at breakfast. Know that everyone goes on a low flame during the pandemic, but if other staff do not know the dishes, you should let the dishwasher get his passports.

Absolutely ok bar if you want to drink without a mess and be able to talk to people. Many sofas etc. Unfortunately, they close quite early.

Excellent service and decent price. Great selection at breakfast. TV with streaming is a plus in the margin! Thank you.

The brunch is incredible. Highly recommend the "lazy sunday" package where both the brunch and access to the spa are available for only $ 500. If you have missed this you have really missed something.

Great hotel. Great rooms although they vary wildly in size, excellent staff and delicious breakfast. Only issue is the current renovations make it noisy during the day which makes conferences and meetings hard.

Very good food, good service and the room was okay. Unfortunately, the fan in the bathroom was deafeningly loud and couldn't turn off. It was difficult to sleep.

There are really great views from the Topfloor over the church and the castle in the evening light. A cozy setting in the restaurant area. Good staff and smooth with garage. Will be happy to return.

Nice, good, big, pool, big bar, then exotic menu, Good something expensive but worth it. There was also something else to choose.

Bottled four days during a course. Great food, nice staff, nice rooms. Have nothing to complain about. A little good gym maybe, but you can borrow cards for Actic in rec.

I reserved a room 3 months in advance of our stay. 1 month in advance of the stay I get an email saying there will be construction work during our stay. From 8 am to 7 pm. I wrote them asking for compensation, and the only thing they could do was to 'offer' a cancellation. So they offered me a right they already have me when I booked the room. I replied complaining about them notn being service-minded and thet reply was that they are sorry that I perceived this as bad service. Not ONCE did they try to solve the problem, neither could they care less if I was a customer there or not. Needless to say, I cancelled and will not stay any time in the future.

It is a shame, as I have had nothing but positive experiences with the clarion hotels before.

Unimaginative christmasbuffet, there's way better elsewhere. Also, the hot food wasn't really hot.
