Great bar to get a drink and every saturday they have a trivia nigth. Not to busy and great space.
Very busy after 10p, great bartender service, would recommend.
Have only been a handful of times but can say honestly that this place has two targeted groups: BC students and those looking to watch whatever sport game might be on. Decent sized space though which means this place can easily accommodate both groups (yay?)
Food and drinks seem to be more pricey then I would like without being worth it. Friend ordered a skinny margarita ak it due to the high level of alcohol it contained. Ordered the mac and cheese and it was eh. Not horrible but nothing stand out about it.
If you are looking for a decent place to drink and catch a bite to eat, head over to some place like Publik house. For the same amount of money you get a much better experience.
This place has really friendly waiters. My margarita pizza was delicious. And the atmosphere has a cool vibe as a neighborhood joint. I love that it's open to the street views without the noise.
Freezing Not really sure why they don't add a second set of doors in the front, all winter whenever the doors are opened everyone in the bar is hit with a gust of freezing wind.
Loved the food, but was a little disheartened at the service - waiter wasn't particularly attentive and food took nearly 40 minutes, despite it being pretty much empty.
The movie with the nice about the life of Luciano Pavarotti a famous opera star
The food was fine. The waitstaff was fine. It's such a shame I was treated so disrespectfully at the door. I came in around 8:30 pm with my friend who I was visiting in Boston. Now, I am aware that Massachusetts in general is VERY skeptical of out of state licenses, and Cityside certainly is critical due to their proximity to a college campus, but I have NEVER had my ID questioned so much in my life. Not only did they grill me about my ID (but didn't grill any of my friends who had MA licenses) the bouncer actually PEELED up the lamination on my ID halfway, permanently mutilating it. Their claim was that "no real ID would peel like that" to which I have no answer because it is A REAL STATE-ISSUED ID. I finally was allowed in after apparently having convinced the manager with my utter incredulity and by answering a series of questions about my identity (to which they still seemed skeptical), but it absolutely ruined my night (AND MY ID).
Cityside needs to seriously discuss what lengths they are willing to go to in order to screen for underage drinkers and what they're willing to risk in the process. I am considering lodging a formal complaint about the destruction of my card as it now needs to be replaced.
Great food, great vibes. Got the Hot Bird aka Spicy Chicken Sandwich and was on the money!
Best food since arriving into the New England area! Great service- must try the homemade tater tots. The burger has an amazing special sauce using top grade beef. Dining upstairs looks like it would be amazing!!!
Good food and very friendly, helpful staff. We held an event here last night and it was great working with them!
The food, service and atmosphere are great. So delicious!
Fun spot in Cleveland Circle, the Trivia on Tuesday nights is long but plenty of fun
No handicapped parking, which is strange, but lots of parking spots which is extremely convenient! Construction going on outside at the moment. Looks cute from the outside, has an upper deck patio to sit and eat outside in the warm weather. The food was AMAZING mouth watering delicious food all around! We got the crab rangoon dip, nachos, Italian egg rolls and buffalo chicken fingers everything was perfect so good. The food and the service were great.
Garbage food, trashy ego driven management. Bar tenders are ugly and unnatentive. I do not recommend this place unless you want to throw your money away to sit with BC undergrads and listen to bad music.
Definitely a place to visit if you're looking to feel young again or just have a couple of drinks with family and friends
Popular spot for food and drinks. The bartender that waited on me was slightly less attentive than I would have liked him to be but I won't hold it against him or the establishment. It's just that kind of spot. The crowd was a mix of locals and college students due to the proximity to Boston College. Great place to sit and watch a game or meet friends. Might want to choose another place for a date night unless you all are already cool like that.
Tried cityside for the first time via ubereats. The food tastes good. For an appetizer and the price I was satisfied with the value of the tater tots but not the chicken tenders. The tots tasted great. The chicken tenders leave something to be desired. I did not ask for sauce but might next time--they were dry and a bit overcooked. I don't anticipate ordering delivery unless I am in a crunch. From this sample I am intrigued enough to visit the restaurant and try again.
Surprisingly good hamburger with jalepenos and stuff and really crispy waffle fries I'd normally recall the name of the burger but their beer selection was good so I don't...bartender recommended some good IPAs
If I could, I would give 10/5 stars. Amazing staff, best food, and a wonderful ambiance. I come here weekly and they never disappoint me. Right next to Cleveland Circle on a "C" and very close to Reservoir on the "D" Line. So very accessible to Downtown.
The brunch is phenomenal here! Had the French toast, which was delicious and the Manmosa's will not disappoint!
Stopped in for lunch with my daughter. I had the steak tips and arugula salad which was excellent. She had a burger with sweet potato fries which also was very good. Our server did a good job. I would recommend dining outside in the deck.
Decent food, drinks a little expensive. Nice sitting outside on top deck if weather permits. Worth going to.
Good craft beer selection and specialty drink cocktails. Food is very good as well. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.
Good food, cold beer and a nice sports bar atmosphere!
Good food, great service.
Old town feel
Very loud, food took a long time, burger not really that exciting.
Update:
I upped it to 4 sinc this has become a local haunt for me due to solid staff, low key atmosphere in the afternoon, and lively atmosphere at night. Cityside has moods and overall they're pretty solid. Food is better than I gave it credit for. Try the Rattlers, artichoke dip or Irish nachos. Oh yea, and the "Manmosa" is a delicious alt for an AM libation.
Original:
Decent food but nothing to write home about. It's a good spot to grab a pint and watch a game but not much more. Has a chain feel to it. The rooftop is nice when it's open.
Honestly I saw two people eating chicken wings with a fork and knife, and that really took it out of me
Solid location. Decent food and decent beer selection but won't blow you away
Solid place to meet up with friends and grab a drink.
Food is middle of the road bar fare, drinks are basic.
Comedy night Mondays are great! Stay away from the hot artichoke dip
Environment to have a good time and watch sports matches have very varied dishes
Excellent place to have a meal and a couple of beers before going to Boston College to attend a hockey game.
In the matter of only 3 weeks they raised the $$ of a shot of FIREBALL from 6.50 to 7.00 then up to 7.50....insane! I can go 3 doors down and get a pint for 9.99!
The will bring your food an hour later and then it will be what you didn t expect. Is good for drinks.
Hopefully better experience for others
Really good food, all reasonably priced, and they give you so much of it! Also, good deals on pitchers. Lots of TVs for easy watching experience.
Food is fine for the price. Decent beer selection.
The crowd is very young, since it's the only real bar near Boston College.
Great location for drinks and food during the weekend.
Kind of generic college town bar. Plenty of stuff on tap with apps and dinner.
I can't have dairy and asked for spaghetti with no cheese on top. It is brought to me with cheese. No one even apologized or acknowledge they were wrong. The server just said I'll get you a new one. It was disappointing that they take food allergies so casually. I would not recommend to anyone. Poor safety standards and service.
Great place to just to unwind coming from work, school, a day from work or a busy weekend last stop before home or a good start for a late afternoon or mid evening.
Set in one of the more relaxing areas of Boston next to the resivior. Many times I have walked around the pond ate dinner at Cityside and on Monday live Comedy. Repeatedly I have seen comics here that I've seen perform on television. Great staff.
I allway have a good time with the help and the people i met
3.5 stars I would give but no half stars allowed, I have rounded up based on my first and only experience. My wife had nachos and I had a burger. Beef patty was cooked perfect (medium rare) and nachos was tasty. Good sporty atmosphere. Would I come back...yes, but perhaps once in 2 months or something.
Very nice place ...Turkey burger was delicious.....
A good place to sit and watch the Infidels get drunk.
Awesome spot for a quick bite and brew. Excellent service tonight
Cool place. Not in that area often, but I'd go back again. Food was good, beer selection was ok. Servers were really friendly.
We tailgated here for 6 hours before the Clemson Boston College game and the service was fantastic. They were very accommodating to all the Clemson fans that packed the place out.
Fantastic food and drink, great atmosphere, very precautionary with Covid
Service and atmosphere was good but the food was less than fair. Soggy wraps and breakfast burritos, hard turkey in the turkey clubs. The only thing that were good was the nachos and the waffle fries. Super pricy. Wouldn't go back.
I went there Friday and the food was really good, if a bit overpriced. I had the classic Cubano and fires, both excellent. The downstairs bar staff were friendly and attentive. I will be returning and possibly upgrade to a 5 star.
Been back just to get some fries and a beer... the fries were great, but what really stood out was the BBQ and Ranch sauce I used for dipping.
Took forever to get our food and definitely was not worth the wait. It was horrible. Our waiter, though, was very nice.
Just your run of the mill college bar. BC in the house!
When I went it tasted like the taps hadn't been cleaned in some time.
But, the scenery didn't seem to mind.
They also have trivia night.
Check your local listings.
Good drinks in updated atmosphere. College people frequent this place.
Hearty bar food, and the staff really know their beer!
Typical neighborhood sports bar/pub feel. Outdoor deck upstairs and friendly service.
Great sports bar with a lot of screens. The wings with Buffalo sauce were great. Friendly service.
Always great food and good drink... one of the only restaurants still operating in Cleveland circle
Always a good place for Friday's after class. Can get busy but have an upstairs as well. Wings were tasty.
Love their brunch menu. And their mimosas are great! Give the "Ladymosa" a try if you get the chance!
Great food and drinks
Ask for John
Great bartender!
Hip and hopping. Good service and drinks in a cool part of town.
