The entire experience has been terrible. They issued me the wrong set of keys 3 times. The unit had not been cleaned or repaired from the last tenant on my move in date. They also have not repaired the washer and dryer and oven in the past 4 weeks I have been here.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOLE.

I have worked with PJ Hussey for a couple of years now and my experience has been positive to date. Specifically, working with Kristen Brickler has pleasurable as she is always responsive.

The staff here is phenomenal. There was a bathroom fire in my apartment the morning I needed to go get a food box, but couldn't leave until the staff was finished with the repairs. The manager brought me food, the maintenance staff was on time with every step of repairing the bathroom from cleaning to painting. I feel so blessed that I was taken care of so well and all in the same day with true professionals.

Well not a good way to start first time I called them and asked to speak to the supervisor Ellacia Maxey and she's not their and this was during there hours...thanks

I had a great experience the year I rented from PJ Hussey. Any issue or concern I had was handled quickly and professionally, whether with maintenance or neighbors. The unit was also beautiful with a full renovation done by pj Hussey before moving in. Ellacia and Alana always handles my concerns promptly and were understanding when I couldn t give a full 30 day notice to move out. I took care of the apartment so I was happy they didn t nickel and dime me and returned my security deposit in full. Great company, and I wish I was still renting from them!

For those that have called emergency maintenance how did you get through? This is the second emergency situation that I wasn t able to reach emergency services! Their phone system must not be connected because I ve tried numerous amounts of time tonight to connect to at least be able to leave a message for emergency maintenance and it won t connect me to maintenance at all.... every single prompt pressed just leads to the receptionist voicemail which makes no sense! I ve had electricity issues before and now there were sparks flying out of one of my outlets even with nothing plugged into the outlet! The sparks were so bad it looked as though it was going to start a fire and the outlet is now burnt! We have had to turn off power to two of the bedrooms because they are in the same breaker! To add to this I work from home so I don t know how that will be able to happen with my set up in the bedroom and no per able to be connected! This is so dangerous!

PJ Hussey is a great company. My husband and I have been renting from them since 2014.

My water heater wasn't working. They sent Tom to fix it. At first I thought it's a small problem, but it turned out to be something major (it was a very old heater, leaking water, broken pipe and all that) and they had to get a new water heater. Tom worked the whole afternoon to make sure the new heater fits to my old/small space. He was so polite, patient, and hard working. AND he cleaned everything up after the work (including my apartment and my yard), didn't leave a single mess. I really appreciate his work and effort. Thank you Tom!

Although my deal to secure a place fell apart,( no fault of theirs), they returned my deposit immediately and in full! They were very, very professional and super helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone because that is exactly the type of treatment I would want for those I know and or care about the most. I'm still searching for a place, but wish they had something in Glendale or Peoria for me!
I will keep checking in with them because now that I've experienced the way they work, I don't want to end up with anyone else!

I am a Realtor and worked with the team at P.J. Hussey to help my clients find a rental. This was by far the easiest encounter I've had with a property management company! They were quick to respond not just to me, but to my clients as well. I wish all property management companies were this professional!

Ashley and Alana were so helpful with getting me into my new rental! Ashley was able to schedule a viewing the very next day after I reached out with interest. She even waited for me to run to QT to get amoney order, so I could hold the rental during the application review.
Alana contacted me by phone to get clarification of my previous rental verification instead of taking false information from my previous apartment.
After approval, they worked so quickly to get me into my new place. It took only three days after my application was approved. I can't explain how perfect this was for me!
Not only was the process quick, but they answered all my questions, which I had a lot of them. :)
What a great rental team they have over at P.J. Hussey and Associates!

I lived at the Cottages at Hayward for a short period as I moved to another city and had to break my lease early. I have zero complaints! Whenever I had any maintenance issues they always took care of it right away. I loved my neighbors. Everyone definitely likes to know who is living next to them and comes to introduce themselves. As for PJ Hussey, the owner and the manager (Ellacia) were amazing! They made the experience 10/10. If I ever have to move back to PHX I will definitely move back to these condos.

Tom the maintenance man is THE man. I called him to fix my water heater the other day and not only did he take the time to do it right, he also fixed my squeaky door and outside security door while he was here. He is usually the person that I get when I have had maintenance issues in the past and he always does a great job. Very professional! Thanks Tom.

We were pretty hesitant about going through a rental company but we ve had nothing but good experiences with P. J. Hussey. Everyone we have spoken with has been pleasant to speak with and have not had any problems with getting things fixed when they need to be. Maintenance is great and Tom is wonderful!

I had a complete kitchen remodel plus tile flooring in two rooms and hallway. There was a few things that needed correction, BUT they fixed ASAP and we more then willing to make things fabulous. Cabinets are stellar and my floor looks amazing. Shannon who is in charge of scheduling/crew is the BOMB!

SLUMLORDS Hands down the worse place I have ever rented from. This house was never move in ready. We handed them $3K and they had two weeks to get it ready. Move in day they had landscapers outside blocking the whole drive way. I thought that was interesting since they had two weeks to get that done. The next day I woke up with my eyes closed shut. I'm highly allergic to dogs and cats and I could tell the carpet was full of animal hair. So we vacuumed and OMG is was so bad ton of dirt, dog and cat hair. They didn't even shampoo the carpets after the last people lived here. So unbelievably gross. I could go on for days about what it's been like here the last 8 months. Like in January -the fence they told us they would put up in June. Well it's August and still no fence. We literally have dogs running through our yard because there's no gate. Not safe for my kids. Two weeks ago we called for our AC to get looked at cause it was clearly breaking. Well here we two weeks later with a fully broken AC and it's a 100 degrees in the house. Save yourself rent from someone else. Oh and the property supervisor Ellaica Maxey. All she does is Lie, lie, lie and lie some more. She is absolutely horrible and rude. Has no customer service skills what so ever. Run for the hills.

I have enjoyed very much working with Ellacia. She has been extremely helpful and professional in transition of property. I appreciate all she did for our organization and our tenants.

Andrew with PJ Hussey was great to work with while selling our house. He kept us informed with each step and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

This is a great property manager, with smart, responsive employees!. I am a non-local owner who had used 2 previous PM's who could never achieve full occupancy, much less keep it full, for several years. I was referred to PJH and they not only achieved full occupancy on this six-plex, but also kept it full with minimal vacancy...use them and get results...

I personally worked with Alana throughout the entire process and currently when any issues arise. The entire staff is professional and on top of anything that needs attention. I would definitely recommend working with this property management company. Alana is very personable and clear on the process to get a place with them. They continue to impress me and you can t really say that about property management companies. At least not in my experience.

Andrew came out to bid on a single-room remodel. He had great ideas, and I signed up. They showed up on time , completed the job on schedule and on budget - even making a couple of small accommodations for special preferences. One week later and the room looks beautiful! They were very communicative and professional throughout, and even did a great job leaving the premises neat every evening during the work. I d be happy to recommend them for similar, as well as much larger jobs!

The staff at the Phoenix office have always been courteous and showed concern for our issues.
We had a broken window which was replaced promptly. We have however been dealing with a leak in the roof. We reported it to maintenance and the staff who has come to accompany the inspectors (our building is pending). During the last rain we have the water coming down a different spot. Yes I have pictures and I will inform them again, in person, of the leak today.

I have worked with this group for many years now and this is the first review that I have offered (way overdue). I am a commercial real estate agent and work with many of the investors that this group assists in the management of their properties. I am always impressed with their willingness to go "above and beyond" when called on.
They are always pleasant, professional and respond quickly! A special shout out to Patti, Andrew and Ellacia! They are the "go to" with the bulk of my many requests!

Rented from this management company for quite a while (several years) , no problems. Very responsive to maintenance requests. Very professional staff, competent and friendly. Will not hesitate to refer them to anyone. 5 Star management style.

Great Staff. Ashley and Alana always answered questions promptly and went out of their way to help. Ashley gave us info on the apartments and Alana handled the finances and credit check. We had some problems with the lease not being accurate and coming later than expected, but Alana took care of all of that until everything was right.

Christian at the front desk went above and beyond when we picked up our documents. No one had told her we were coming, but she was tenacious and found our stuff. The apartment was not cleaned properly when we arrived and the keys were wrong, but again Christina came through and sent a maid that day and got everything fixed.

Kristin in maintenance was wonderful. Not everything was working when we arrived, but she saw that all things were fixed right away and checked to make sure we were happy. Her maintenance staff was friendly and helpful when they arrived.

I was not happy with whoever was responsible for making sure the apartment was ready, but everybody else at PJ Hussey pitched in and made sure that everything was fixed quickly. They were great.

This post is almost not worth my time of day but maybe beneficial to others so here it is. Friendly but dishonest company. They claimed they told me about a deposit which after 3 phone calls by me never occured. And don't expect them to return calls. All 6 phone calls to include 2 with the manager are by me. Also a manager that tries to argue about her long list of calls to reason why she cannot return a call is not professional salesmanship. Her raising her voice to boot...not professional. And also tells me her excuses were not genuine. Call a spade a spade. I don't want a rental management company that is so "over run" that during a showing they quote the property to another person. Also the apartment is still listed. 3 people cannot rent one space. It is also comical looking from the outside in how I just dodged a major bullet. I pray they are more professional with their tenants. Nothing is more of a nightmare than a dishonest landlord.

Pj Hussey has got to be one of the worst renting companies ever. We have been having rodent problems and it seems like they dont care at all. Its been over a month and they sent pest control to put 2 traps. the mice were caught but we were told there are more rodents living inside the walls. We keep finding feces all over our kitchen to the point that we can not go in and cook. Our cabinets are full of feces as well. The rodents have invaded our food. We were told by the pest control guys that the rodent problem can be fixed, it takes 2 weeks to exterminate the whole unit, and he also mentioned its a bit pricey. It has now been over a month a PJHussey has not gotten back to us. We called today and Kristen or Princeton from maintance yelled " this can not be done in 1 day"
i get it cant be done within a day, but i also know it does not take over a month to solve this problem. NOt to mention that we had to move our fridge to see if there were any holes in the wall and guess what?! We do not have no dry wll behind our sink!! Making it easier for rodents to come in. PJ Hussey went and all the put was a wall of wood to cover it. Hopefully the department of housing and urban living fix this and pj hussey will have to pay for it.

Single worst property management company I ve ever had. I can t think of a single instance where I was pleased with how they handled a situation. Their repair service is very slow and will probably show up 3 days after they say they will, if they even bother responding to your issue. We ve had an ant problem for the last 7 months and it was never addressed, despite sending pictures.

Tom the maintenance man was very professional. Very fast. Very good at his job. I cannot recommend him enough. He took extra time on a Sunday to help me.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have been dealing with this company for a year now and my construction project never was even started. They do not call or email you back at all. I would be worried that if project was started, it would stay unfinished. I have asked to talk to owner but no one has responded. I have sent email but no one responded. Stay away from this place. Run as fast as you can. Don't waste your time or money.

After eviction process they need to hold property for 21 days. Giving the tenant 21 days to make an appointment and retrieve all property. They have to secure any and all property on the premises and can charge storage fees. The law also states the can not with hold any thing the tenant needed for work. My mobile grooming vans sit on the property and i was told since i was not on the lease i couldn't get my belongings without the roommate and only roommate could get the property. Just days into the 21 day hold period my pet grooming van gets set on fire and my generator and other property that i need for work have been stolen. I wonder if they use a predator generator 4000 Watt anybody have that answer for me ? I was also told by the neighbor that one of the assoc. From pj hussey was there with a clean up crew speaking in spanish arguing about too little pay to clean up such a big mess. So the clean up crew was then seen taking my property for payment. I called down there again today and was told that they were there clearing out the fridge,removing trash in the back yard and cleaning up dog poop only. I drive by there today and u can clearly see the trash pile still there along with the home unsecured with windows open that u can see from the street and all of my belongings are gone!!!! I have picture to prove the maintenance crew did not do as she stated on my recorded phone call stating that fridge cleaned out dog poop picked uo and pile of trash picked up as well to prove she is lying.see u in court pj hussey assoc.

Every time we need something fixed in our unit they send someone out that same day or the next! They are on top of their clients needs and care about their tenants we have won $100 before for paying our rent in time they are awesome. Keep up the good work!!

I haven t rented in over 35 years and I m not the best with technology or the internet or email. I was looking for an apartment in Arizona all the way from my home in California and what I thought would be a frustrating experience ended up being so easy and almost fun! That s all thanks to Alana who put up with this old lady from start to finish. She made it easy for me to do everything from afar. Oh and Stormi even emailed me a detailed video tour of my unit! Overall I am extremely pleased with the service provided by PJ Hussey and Associates. Thanks again girls!

Fantastic experience from quote to project execution! We had two new lights installed with no attic space and new boxes needed and the jobs were well done, friendly and knowledgable electrician, all areas left tidy after like no one was ever there. A+++. Would recommend without hesitation!

Everytime there is a maintnence problem they come on thier time & when ther isnt a maintence problem there is a sewage problem! My mother in laws sink didnt work 2 weeks ago & im on the lease as well & NOW the sewage is backed up & its her only bathroom I hope they dont make her wait 3 days with a bathroom or there will be a problem.

I have worked with many Property Management companies in the past and I am impressed by their professionalism. Ellicia is always concerned about her tenants first!

Try to use any alternative path at all costs, seriously. They act just like the scammers. They don t do anything, not even a courtesy check and see if the unit is ready for occupancy. This business will waist your time and stress.

Worst company to rent from. They r not friendly, polite, and don't communicate with u when they change terms of lease. And if u tell them sumthing is broke in apt they dont come u have to fix yourself. Can't wait til they actually get ppl that know what they r doing.

I was having a problem with my toilet backing up. Tom was sent to do the job. Tree roots had clogged the toilet so Tom worked late in the evening to fix the problem. He was polite and professional and left the area spotless. The root problem was not a easy fix. I appreciate Tom`s hard work and sticking with it till the job was done.

Juan and Tom both came and did an amazing job replacing my water heater! They made sure everything was working correctly and cleaned up after themselves! 5/5 for me!

worse place they use to be decent but now i couldn't call to get my husband rent amount when he had sign the paper saying they can talk to me when we got assistance for our rent they didnt want to take it want us to pay it not sunny slope had to fight with them when i have cam for assistance for thing i need done with the appartment they wouldn't help i don't recommend this place at all

Alana handled my whole application process within a few days and I had an answer. She got me the apartment I wanted at the price I wanted and made the whole process painless and easy. I have never had such a great experience with a management member as I did with Alan at PJ Hussey. I am very happy and excited about my new place and my time with them. This is fantastic. I would highly recommend PJ Hussey and I would strongly suggest seeing Alana.

This company never return your calls when you need something fix, but they are quick jack up your rent, I hate dealing with them.

Worst rental agency ever!! I would not recommend them to even my worst enemy (ok MAYBE my worst enemy). It was constantly a pain trying to get a hold of the ladies responsible for my unit and I would have to call AND email before I would hear back from anyone. WORST PART, once I moved out I had to continue paying until someone else rented it. Which was fine except for the fact that they twirled their thumbs when it came to renting it back out. Kept telling me they had "someone approved" for WEEKS but that people kept backing out last minute...? hmmm.... Then once someone finally signed the lease so I could stop paying THEY DIDNT TELL ME!!!! I was continuing to have to pay and only realized once I got my gas bill saying IT HAD BEEN TRANSFERRED INTO SOMEONE ELSES NAME TWO WEEKS PRIOR. Obviously doesn't have their tenants best interest in mind. Also never even told me I was off the lease, just had to assume. very unprofessional. They obviously did not want to refund me the rest of the month (gas was transferred the 20th) so just made it seem like it wasn't rented out yet.

PJ Hussey is my "go to" Management Company. I am a local Broker specializing in small apartment complexes, and I have referred hundreds of units to them. They do an excellent job managing them, and their Maintenance Department is great. If you are looking for a company to manage your Multifamily Investment, I strongly suggest them to maximize you returns.

From start to move-in, PJ Hussey & Associates have been very helpful. Alana is very resident-oriented and makes you feel like you're a VIP! Every phone call was answered (no automated messages), questions were replied to in a quick and professional manner, and each step was easy to follow thanks to the guidance of every associate. This is our first time renting outside of the typical apartment leasing office and I'm so glad we did. Thank you PJ Hussey & Associates for kick-starting 2019 with a positive experience. My sister is renting an apartment with my niece from this management company. The paradise lane location. They had complained about the downstairs neighbors numerous times. Even had to call the police because my sister could smell weed all through her apartment. They did nothing about it. Well the fire below caught on fire. I was there also with my son and wife visiting from out of town and at about 2 in the morning the neighbors banged and banged woke us up because the downstairs was on fire. The smoke alarms never went off at all and my neices room was filled with smoke. She's 6 months old. She contacted the leasing office bcaise her apartment is completely smoke damaged. Needed to be moved asap for health reasons. They refuse to move her. Now she has no place to stay I live out of state. The apt manager Alicia or whatever her name is told her she didn't know what to tell her. My sister Said she was not payi g rent until something is resolved. I was in the apartment for maybe 10 minutes helping her get some clothes for my niece and basically trying to figure out where we were going to put her and my son and my wife are both vomiting it was so bad in there the apartment manager told my sister she didn't know what to tell her we have her on recording they sent an inspector out to the apartment he said that the apartment is not okay to stay in and he's requesting that they move her ASAP. The apartment manager still said she didn't know what to tell my sister she had two options either terminate the lease and basically give up her deposit because she's trying to prorate the rent of how long my sister's belongings are in the apartment which is not right because she hasn't been able to even be in the apartment for more than 5 minutes. Or she said she could move out in five days or she'll take her to court. Come to find out the owners had no idea what was actually going on in her apartment the fire department said that it was not up to code for health reasons the safety reasons and the inspector also said that we have both of them and the apartment manager on video saying what they said. Now my sister finally got a hold of the owner yesterday who said she had no idea what was going on and that she could go in on Monday and talk to them they didn't have another apartment available for her keep in mind they have rentals everywhere and that when my sister moves out and Returns the keys that the landlord will give my sister back her full deposit which really does nothing because she still has no place to live and is going to have to come up with another deposit and all that stuff to move now and is now had to be sleeping on someone's couch for the last two weeks of the month with my 6 month old niece. So we'll see what happens my sister has nowhere else to go so hopefully they'll offer her another two bedroom which is what she had I'm sure she doesn't mind where she goes but this needs to be resolved or we will push her into getting a lawyer. I know that easy thing for normal people would be just to sign the voluntary termination and get the deposit back but when you're a single mom that doesn't have much money to begin with and you're just kind of starting out you have nowhere to go and not really that much family in the state you're kind of screwed so that's where my sister's out right now with this management company that's about to get sued. I will say that the owner has been very nice but still has not offered my sister another two bedroom which is what should have happened from the very beginning after all they did offer the apartment to the people that did like the other apartment on fire and my sister was basically just out of luck the apartment managers words were we don't know what to tell you pay your rent or get out well it wasn't really fair that my sister would have to pay rent in an apartment with that she can't even be in for 5 minutes with my niece so luckily and now my sister has to move an entire apartment into a storage with U-Haul with a 6 month old Alone aweosme

Kristen is a phenomenal resource, she answers her emails day and night and always gets my issues solved in a timely manner. Whenever I make a request, I am always confident it will be handled properly without me needing to follow up or escalate to make sure it will get done.

Called on Monday for a maintenance request for a leak from the kitchen sink into the bathroom. They set up appointment for Wednesday I got a call from Scott Hudson the technician he was in the area earlier then expected, I explained the issue he said he would look at it & possibly have to make a whole in the wall. Then he called me back not 10mins later and told me it was a simple fix, just need something for the drain in the bathroom, he would get it, replace it & I d have no more issues.. And he was even nice enough to bring into my house an Amazon package that was left at the front door so it wouldn t get stolen since it s Christmas time. I thought that was amazing!! He was done in less then 30mins what a great service call. Thank you PJ Hussey & Steve for the amazing work!!

They doubled the rent on an elderly couple in the middle of a pandemic. How do you sleep at night? May the lord have mercy on your souls.

Initial inquiry through online sites is met with a auto-reply to call them. Eventually they email you back with screening quetions, and apparently won't even get back to you if you have not been at your current job 6 months or longer. Could have easily paid most of the years rent up front. Unit still appears to be available nearly a month later.

I saw the story on the news and have no affiliation with the family or the property management firm.

You claim that you only execute the wishes of the property owner and do not want to see anyone put through tough situations. Let me ask you what steps you took to assist this elderly couple? Is the property owner still a client? If you, as a firm, actually cared, you could have told the client to take their business elsewhere and assisted the renters in finding another place to live and assisted them. You could have done the right thing but chose not to. If the news story misrepresented you in their coverage please let me know.

My experience has been great very responsive when I needed help with my rent payment questions and assistance in reporting my rent payments to help me on my way to owning my own home. Renting with PJ Hussey has helped me and my family a lot.

Stormi and Alana have been so helpful. As most people know moving can be a pain. The ladies at P. J. Hussey has made this an enjoyable experience. I have called and texted Stromi all throughout the day and night and she always responded was was very polite and such a joy to speak with. Alana has been helpful as well her communication is superb and I am grateful for these ladies. If they represent J. P. Hussey then I would recommend this company to everyone. Had a couple small fixes that needed to be taken care of when when I moved in they sent over Tom from maintenance he was polite knowledgeable and helpful

Anytime that I call to talk to Ellacia Maxey, she is always attentive to my concerns, complaints, or compliments. She always does her best to meet my needs. i have been communicating with her for almost 2 years and would not want to see that change. The Receptionist is always pleasant on the phone and greets you with a smile when you go in.
