City of Houston Public Works & Engineering Review

The DMV is ran better than this place. It's a horrible experience. Takes them two weeks to process a permit online so I had to come into this horrifically ran establishment. Zero stars would be a better option. I'm not even getting into the parking or lack there of here.

Truck#22557 throwing debris out off the back instead of covering it. Great maybe they can clean up the freeway from all the debris and houston will get sued if i big piece comes out and hits someones car.

I have just found out on January 15, 2020 I have a backdated bill from 2017 to 2020 for the amount of $3;422.00 . The agent did notify me ithat I did have to make a new application and a deposit for a new accounton that I am unable to pull up to see exactly what Houston water department is be charging me for no help water department at least admitted these charges that they forgot to put on my bill was their fault so I could make a payment plan false statement from $800.00 deposit I was able to get them down for $350. 00 and than pay 200.00 every month plus the water bill I live from check to check o am disabled and the time they gave me to get. The money together last day is Friday or water will be turned off this is unbelievable I would be homeless again and that is the worst that can happen just to fix their mistake people watch you bills these people don't care only for what they can do for them

If there was an option for 0 stars i would have selected that. The time it takes for them to anwer the phone is insane over 1hr. and when I was finally connected with someone they where rude and had a very bad attitude. Very frustrating trying to talk to someone who dosn't know what they are doing. Also sent e-mails and left voicemails its been 2 weeks and yet no response.

We have been asking for a lid and a box for the meter in front of our house for 10 years. Today a truck showed up. The guy dug out the area throwing dirt all over the sidewalk, yard, driveway, and street, dropped...DROPPED not placed...a lid on it and drove off! So now there is a huge mess, and a lid without the box will help absolutely NOTHING. We waited 10 years for a lid...will we wait 20 for the actual box? Do it right the first time and save time and money.
They made a bigger mess last summer at a neighbor's house and it wa 6 months before the mess was cleaned up. Lots of debris in the street as well as mud.

I m so disappointed in the City of Houston, Bot only did the garbage men not pick up my trash/recycle bins but my neighbors as well, this has to stop, if you don t like your job..get another one!!!

Poor customer service within the Street Cut Permit department. No one returns calls nor responds to emails - and when you can actually get ahold of someone they give you attitude. If there was any other way to get these permits besides through this department, I would chose that rather than deal with someone who is not courteous.

Worst costumer service EVER, trying to get access to my online water bill for weeks now...reset password doesn't work, called their office, person on the phone can't help; they send me to the chat function on the website, and I am on hold for over 30 mins on the chat and still haven't gotten anyone, this is RIDICULOUS!!!! you people should be ashamed of your work ethic and quality, pathetic excuse for a city government run utility! this is why you don't let a government body run anything! there is no competition, no recourse for this kind of pathetic service!

Never had a experience with the city but I'm trying together a job and I have heard good things about them from reliable people thank you for letting me share

City Employees always friendly, helpful and professionals

I was extremely disappointed in the way my incorrect water bill was handled, how my claims for an unusually high water bill were denied twice without communication or logical reason, a lack of follow up or understanding for my situation, and the many hours I've spent on the phone having to defend myself when the city made a mistake. It took 7 months, but I finally received a resolution today. The final representative who helped me get an adjustment on my bill was the most helpful person I talked to all year. There are definitely good people who work here, but the lack of knowledge and organization that I experienced prior to this rep is the reason I'm giving them a low review.

You would think that boil water updates would be front and center on this site after 5 days. Nope. Never could find any update.

City workers are busy people so excuse them when they seem "rude or "slow" they have a city to run... when do you thing your water comes from.... the city purifies it your streets who makes sure they are clean and I'm good conditions.... who fixes all the water Main pipes... the city workers do.... the people who clean after you... are the ones who you are calling rude... and slow.... funny cause it seems to me like you're the rude and slow one ... yall keep up the good work... -city of trumann ar. The cops are in need of money I think and they are giving parking tickets to anybody. I was parked in a spot with no signs and they said you can't park there, even though it is the street and everybody else was parked there too. Not fair at all. Officer Jones said it was a sign posted, I wanna know where. Because it was not any sign in the pictures you took. We the people... Wow

The Representative I I spoke with was giving answers before I said what my issue was O my God slow down you are rude said wait til I have real damage ok so water has to flood my house and the street first ah call when you have a real emergency I was like WHAT?
